I ordered the lobster and crab omelet and found it under seasoned and devoid of much lobster or crab. As a whole, I feel like the side pairing of challah toast with jam and butter is an odd choice. I also ordered the iced Thai tea, which was quite weak. Overall--I wasn't really feeling it. When you go to Teaspoon, you're really paying for ambience over quality. There's no issue with the service here, from hosts to wait staff. The food is simply underwhelming, and thus so is the experience. I wouldn't be mad to return, but I don't know if this would ever be my suggestion.

Had the perfect brunch experience here with our group of four. We had about an hour's wait time, so make reservations or join their live waitlist, if possible. We sat inside/outside, right smack in the middle. It was the perfect day for it. I enjoyed a bloody mary and it was tasty! Our waitress was friendly and attentive. We ordered chips & salsa and they were great! Chips tasted homemade and perfectly crunchy & lightly salted! They were served with salsa and pico de gallo. The salsa is top notch! Spicy & flavorful! I had their chilaquiles de pollo and they were very flavorful and spicy without being too hot! Will definitely be coming back!

I FINALLY tried this place. I don't really like to wait to eat and I had Monday off so I figured the way it wouldn't be that long. I ordered their eggs Benedict with filet mignon and boy it was delicious!! No wonder this place is so popular. It had a great ambience. Nice outdoor seating. Great service. Beautiful restaurant with amazing atmosphere. Our smoothie was not quite blended all the way, but our skillets were AMAZING!! Absolutely recommend the southwest skillet. Great people and awesome food! Give it a try!

Definitely not a place for vegans ! C'mon , can't you add at least 1 vegan meal ? I modified my avocado toast and it STILL had butter & the bread was meh . Ugh My chai latte with oat milk was good but way too sweet for me , it did have a master yummy foam top . My friend said her meal was good but lacked spice . Kinda bland . Service was good but nothing to rave about . Beautiful location & we were seated promptly.

It was a Thursday afternoon, and the restaurant was packed. We were a party of six on the waitlist, but we only waited about five minutes for our table. Since it was a work lunch, we were pleased to sit at a large corner table. However, the noise level inside was quite loud. The menu offered a variety of great choices, ensuring there was something for everyone, which I especially appreciated as a vegetarian. Our waiter, Tito, was fantastic! He was friendly, attentive, and had a wonderful laugh. The food was excellent, and I don't think there were any complaints from anyone in our group. We would all definitely return for brunch again!

Love the bubble waffle! Added ourselves to the waitlist on the way and when we arrived we had about a 20 min wait. Staff was pleasant and the bubble waffle was delicious! Today we decided to give Teaspoon another try. Even on a Monday, we waited about 30 minutes to be seated -- definitely a sign it's a popular spot. This time, the food was delicious. I ordered the filet mignon eggs Benedict. It was very tasty, although the poached egg was slightly overcooked. My husband got the skillet and absolutely loved it. The real star of the show was the Dutch baby -- oh my gosh! That alone is worth coming back for. The service was great, and we sat on the patio, which was lovely. Overall, I'd give this place 4 stars. We'll definitely be back for the Dutch baby and to try a few different dishes next time.

What's Funny is they give you cloth napkins but , no teaspoons! The person bussing the tables brought one glass at a time to set up a table for four . Waiting almost 20 minutes for a table that was empty when we arrived! Restaurant was half empty. And at almost $5 a cup for regular coffee, I understand why and Please, bring me a Teaspoon without me having to ask.

While planning a day trip from Mesa to Tucson, I came across Teaspoon on a "Best Brunch in Tucson" list by Max Wingert via TucsonFoodie.com--and it definitely lived up to the hype. This place is clearly popular. When we arrived, there were quite a few parties waiting, but the overall wait time was only about 10-12 minutes, and we were seated promptly. The service was just as good as the food--our server was kind, helpful, and offered solid recommendations when we asked. As a proud chilaquiles enthusiast, I couldn't resist ordering the Chilaquiles con Pollo: crispy corn tortillas topped with shredded chicken, red sauce, Monterey Jack, crema, avocado, red onion, cilantro, and two sunny-side-up eggs. It was savory, spicy, and absolutely delicious--everything I look for in a good plate of chilaquiles. My boyfriend went with the Dutch Baby, a cast-iron German pancake served with apple, lemon, and local honey. It was beautifully done and full of flavor--though we had to wait a few minutes for it to cool down (cast iron stays hot!) Teaspoon is a cute little gem tucked into the Casa Adobes Plaza with cozy charm, great service, and a menu that's well worth the drive. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in Tucson to explore more of what they have to offer!

Teaspoon is a breakfast n lunch bistro in town... I had a Benedict Eggs and Filets with veggies, avocado and potatoes plus ice tea!!! Very classic breakfast and it's busy place to have brunch... Everything came out smooth, fresh eggs and cooked right on and tasty delicious!!! Will recommend when you try to have a stable classic brunch bistro restaurant!!

It was ok. $18 for a breakfast sandwich with two pieces of overcooked burnt bacon. Hard pass. There was a lot of egg on the sandwich but it was so bland. I had to sprinkle salt for almost every bite. The burnt bacon should have helped but it didn't. Came with a friend. The area is cute. We sat outside.

I've tried this place on two different occasions. Today being the most recent. Our waiter was never available and gave my mom the incorrect drink after waiting 15+ minutes and my chicken was dry. They also gave my mom a hot cast iron pan which she was not thrilled about due it being extremely hot. I don't know. This place does not live up to the hype read more

Can't wait to go back!!! So many gray menu items! Hubby had the Lobster and Crab Omelet, I had Croque Madame. Both so good!! The Croque Madame has gravy, and I don't usually like gravy, but their gravy is soooooo good ! We wanted to go again while we were in town to try something else and didn't make it next time! The Food is amazing! My hubby and I shared The Bubbled Waffle and oh my gosh Heaven in your mouth! I invited my friend to Teaspoon two Saturdays ago. I knew going out for brunch would have a bit of a waiting time. I called ahead to check and they added me to this "waiting" list, I just needed to check in with the hostess once I get there. I had 10 minutes to get there but I was 5 minutes late! Fortunately, they were still able to work with me Coming in, it was such a nice setting and a beautiful view of the outdoors. We were greeted by our sweet server and took care of us professionally! We asked for recommendations and went with what she said plus bottomless mimosas! *** They have bottomless mimosas with a meal under $16 for $35 which we got!!!*** I ended up getting the Chilaquiles which were sooo delicious! I'm very picky with Mexican food and this hit the spot My friend ordered the bubble waffle which was perfect and is a MUST ORDER item! Tucked away in the courtyard of Casas Adobes Plaza, Teaspoon is a great place to chill, play some cards, and chit-chat with the locals. With a trendy decor and pet-friendly patio, the atmosphere is comfortable, clean and upbeat. Definitely Covid compliant. The menu includes a wide selection of sweet and savory dishes for any appetite. We ordered the Dutch Baby pancake, which came in a sizzling skillet. The texture was doughy due to the inclusion of syrup within the skillet. But the flavor was outstanding. Not too sweet. With fresh lemon and a nice char along the edges. We also ordered the savory crepe, with mushroom, spinach, caramelized onion and a creamy hollandaise. Served with a fresh spring mix salad. Delicious. I prefer things a little spicy, so Cholula was provided on the side. (A house hot sauce would have really set this apart. This is Tucson, after all. Lol.) Overall a very nice experience. We will definitely add Teaspoon to our regular rotation. :) read more

I am very impressed as I use to be a Busser, barrack, and Food runner before in the past. I have been waiting here and watching the Hostess Danielle. " Not In Creepy way" lol. She has been bussing tables, doing the Togo Orders, and setting Tables. Will say there are a lot of Karen's that are upset about waiting but it's not the Hostess fault people need to understand! It's do to the fact that the company is short staffed can't make people work!. She has been really keeping it professional and the sweetest person me and my Wife have meet in the industry. The food is amazing! Also would recommend just being patient due to the size of the restaurant and you can't rush people to leave so you can sit to eat this Amazing food. read more

Mm mm mm this place has delicious food. It's kinda like a rustic metal meets wood type of establishment I think it's called rusty deco, I have no clue. But it's nice. Isaiah got this dish called bubble waffle It's a sweet dish that's served with white powdered sugar. I got a southwest skillet and it was so dang delicious. And I also ordered an ice coffee. Now the coffee is crazy expensive. I say that because I feel that $4 for a cup of Joe is a bit much. But I digress. Awesome food and a great ambiance at Teaspoon. They have a great variety of breakfast foods to choose from and also serve some great cold-pressed juices. The egg parfait with a perfectly poached egg on top of a smooth, creamy potato purée and topped with crisp bacon and fresh green onion is an absolute show stopper! The omelettes and the pancakes are big winners as well. We are always happy with the quality of the food, the speediness of the staff and the great service. This place feels like you're in Phoenix, the ambiance is elevated. They allow dogs and the service is usually great. We love the Benedicts but which they'd have the option of a traditional hollandaise sauce rather than their cheese style sauce. I decided to treat myself and go to a restaurant that has been on my wishlist since moving to Arizona. I noticed that it had a beautiful outdoor patio with a nice view and I had to try. I ordered the lobster and crab omelet and I have one word for it, YUCK! It was comprised of what tasted like a year-old seafood ceviche and eggs. The ceviche wasn't even strained and so the whole thing was a watery, refrigerator tasting, mess. YUCK! The toast was stale and hard as a rock. Never going back! read more

A little hard to find, tucked away in a corner but look for signage. I found it once I got my bearings, they have people entering through the patio, I was greeted immediately. I went to the restroom first which was clean enough but no mirror above the sink. It wasn't busy so my seat was waiting when I returned, I opted to sit on the patio. My food came out in about 12 min, if that. I ordered the challah french toast with bacon and the breakfast potatoes, all sold separately, $16.50. I didn't even need the syrup! The vanilla glaze on the French toast was delicious and sufficient. The fruit on top were fresh! I like my bacon a little more fatty though and I could've done without the potatoes, they weren't great. My waitress was a sweetheart, Marla or Maria, I can't make it out on the receipt. I got there around 2:15 and was done before three which seems to be when they close. read more

wow so much greatness to say about this spot! i'm not sure how new or old it is to Tucson, but i am a foodie that loves to try new/different spots each week.. when i saw this menu on Yelp, i knew i had to bring a friend to check it out! the atmosphere was really nice because there was plenty of business but also plenty of space between tables and wasn't very loud. They have seating indoors but the outside patio is where it's at! awesome mister fans everywhere, and our server was so kind to adjust one and have it point right at us upon our request. THE MENU, so many unique options. but the kind of unique that definitely hits the spot.. ~ we started with boozy beverages: a bloody mary (nothing fancy, but simple and perfect) and an Irish coffee + whiskey. both drinks were mixed perfectly. it's hard to find a great cocktail, in my opinion.. ~ the blue crab cakes with the yummy sauce on top tasted fresh and not fishy. great texture, filling too. ~ the avocado + mushroom benedict was top-notch. smothered in hollandaise sauce, i got some of the mixed fries on the side. (i would not order these again, personally.) ~ the service was fast and friendly and very accommodating! i can't wait to come back again. read more

Teaspoon is one of our favorite places for brunch. Great food, a menu with traditional and new takes on traditional entrees, great service, and a nice patio! We love getting the bubble waffle to split for the table. Our family usually gets the breakfast pizza, chilequiles, and country chicken. There isn't a kids menu but our two kids split the pancakes entree (you can add chocolate chips or blueberries) and a side of scrambled eggs. They do have booster seats and high chairs. Bathrooms are clean. Expect a wait on the weekends. read more

Great brunch spot! We were able to get a table even on a busy weekend. There is a variety of brunch options to choose from it's hard to decide. I got the savory French toast that was excellent and an iced latte. If I could give this place more stars I would!!! I had the savory crepe (turkey, cremini mushrooms, spinach, Swiss cheese with hollandaise sauce) and black cover. Absolutely delicious. Visited from out of town and were told by locals this was a place not to miss. I was looking forward to trying the Bubble Waffle and was not disappointed! It was unique and perfectly sweet. The coffee wasn't anything special and neither was the croque madame. If I visit again, I will definitely get the bubble waffle and try the caramel macchiato. Outdoor seating was nice with a heater, which was necessary for the brisk November morning and a fountain contributed to the ambiance. read more

Saturday January 23, 2022 I visited Teaspoon for the first time with friends for a birthday breakfast. The hostess staff was very welcoming and sat our party within the expected waiting time frame given. We were seated outside which I highly recommend if the weather permits as the ambiance was serene. I ordered a hot Caramel Macchiato to start my meal while I reviewed the menu that consisted of a variety of savory and sweet entrees. I ordered the Chilaquiles, which was definitely enough for two, but I was delighted to take home the other half as it consisted of the perfect amount of spice. And if you are like me I love to have something sweet after my meal! I highly recommend the Challah Vanilla Bean French Toast. It is served with strawberries and blueberries and a house glaze that was was delicious. My waiter was happily able to accommodate my allergy and place my order without strawberries which was very much appreciated. I highly recommend this restaurant, the food is delicious and the atmosphere is brilliant. read more

Oh my gosh!!!! This place is sooooo GOOD! I had the 1/2 sandwich and salad! My choice for the sandwich was the Turkey sandwich it had cream cheese Mayo, it came with sprouts (I chose lettuce), avocado, bacon, cucumber & tomato on toasted bread! The salad I chose was the Chicken Berry & Cucumber, made with grilled chicken, fresh blue berries, cucumbers, spring mix, feta cheese, pecans, red onion, and a house berry vinaigrette dressing! It was to die for so much so I went home to try and recreate this salad!!! Then I enjoyed a Sugar Free Hazelnut Hot Latte, with Whipped Cream and Caramel Drizzzzllle yummy perfect for a little pick me up! Highly recommend this place! Will be returning soon!!!! read more

The food was AMAZING! The Dutch Baby is a must-eat with its large size, pretty low price, and great taste. The waitress was very nice and her overall demeanor and service was excellent. The vibe or ambiance was so nice. If you come you need to get a patio seat. The patio gives an amazing view of the plaza and the calming sounds of the big water fountain in the center of the plaza, there is also some very nice plants and it was very clean. 10/5 stars. read more

Visited Teaspoon for the first time today. The environment is great. Beautifully set up restaurant. Servers are very kind and checked on us several times. Started with a Bloody Mary, it was very tasty with a big piece of celery and 3 olives. The crab Benedict was very good, real crab with great potatoes and greens. The chilaquiles had good flavor but a little disappointed with the amount of chicken that was on it. Still delicious but I would of rather had a smaller portion of chips with the amount of protein. First impression, walking up to lots of people waiting to be seated to eat. Don't let that intimidate you. They said it would be a 35 min wait, we only waited 20 min. The staff was friendly and organized.My only gripe was the atmosphere. Super cute place but, very noisy inside. I would suggest sitting outside. The menu was amazing! So many unique choices. I got the country chicken, huge portion. My daughter ordered the 3 little piggies omelet and it was amazing. We also ordered famous bubble waffle! So tasty! I don't think I can say enough about this place. It was the first time we had been and everything was amazing. There was a bit of a wait for a table, but once we got seated everything was very quick and delicious. We tried so many dishes and the cocktails were also delectable. I had the Herb French Toast - I really liked that the sourdough bread was just the right thickness & all of the flavors were exquisite. Loved the mixed greens with it. Teaspoon is a modern brunch eatery opened by two sisters, who come from a family of restauranteurs. Wanting to fulfill a lifelong dream, Mary & Teresa decided to combine their passion for food to open Teaspoon. Each one of them specializes in their own area of cooking; Mary is the baker and specializes in all things flour(pancakes, waffles and did someone say Dutch Baby Apple?!), Teresa, on the other hand, focuses on reinventing food and adding that personal touch. They believe in the saying that {Food is essential to life; therefore make it good.}

As for the food, it wasn't bad, but it also wasn't anything special, especially considering the price. Overall, it felt pretty average for what we paid. I remember they had this whole thing where they didn't abide by Covid restrictions (thought maybe they changed). I got a simple iced coffee and it wasn't good at all. I saw two familiar faces that I recognized I went to church with when I would go. They weren't the nicest people at all to me (I was in highschool) so I remember leaving partly because of them. I meant to post this in February.

Unfortunately, the service felt a bit cold, no one acknowledged me, and the staff didn't seem very welcoming or engaged. I ordered an iced matcha latte, which came unsweetened. No one mentioned that ahead of time or pointed out where the sweeteners were, so I had to look around for them myself. The matcha had a nice flavor, but the texture was a bit grainy, suggesting it might not be the highest quality. Also, the bathrooms are located all the way in the back, and there isn't enough signage to guide you there easily. Overall, it has a lot of charm and a great location, but the customer experience could definitely be improved.

Oh, and my favorite drink is the turmeric ginger infusion. Yes I know it's probably just something I could buy and make myself, but the point is that I don't have to do that -- I can just go to Time Market and have them do it for me! It is very small so keep that in mind. Their outside area is great. If there's an event at the University you might not be able to get a seat, so just have a plan b for that. I also love the grocery area. They have some items here that you can't find anywhere else in town, such as specialty chocolates and certain brands and flavors of ice cream. They also have some basics like produce and meat. It's worth a visit and you can walk to it from both the 4th avenue area as well as the main gate area.

Some friends and I stumbled across this cozy spot for a Saturday brunch, and although it was crowded, it was definitely worth the wait! The atmosphere was lively and inviting, making the wait much more enjoyable. I ordered the mochi waffle, and it was absolutely fantastic--perfectly crisp on the outside, with a chewy texture on the inside. The strawberry and clotted cream were just the right level of sweetness, complementing the waffle without overwhelming it. My friends opted for the skillets, and they thoroughly enjoyed them, with some even having leftovers to take home. The portions were generous, and everything was cooked to perfection. I've sat on this review for 22 days as we deal with breakthrough infections of the Delta variant that commenced two days after our visit when we had 11 to 13 interactions with a server who was the only one with a "mask." It barely covered her mouth, not her nose. We cannot rate the food as it came to us completely cooled off. Only 9 tables had people and there were 3 others servers running around serving everyone quickly. Our server didn't return our check and had no name tag, but I thought nothing of it. Then Pima County called us and wanted to know where we'd been the 4 or 5 days prior and we told them the only interaction we had was with her 3 weeks later we are getting tested a 3rd time. Been quarantined and a bit sick. I hope we test negative today, but my lungs still aren't right so we'll see. That's our experience and it's safe to say we choose to be safe and not eat out for a while. read more

I recently dined at this restaurant and unfortunately experienced inconsistent service. Despite one waitress enforcing a no outside drinks policy, another table was littered with Starbucks cups. Moreover, calling ahead seemed irrelevant as they seated walk-ins ahead of those who had made call aheads. This inconsistency greatly affected the dining experience. read more

After being told the wait is 35-40 minutes, after 45 minutes we were then told the wait was another 40 minutes for our group of 3. Had I Known I would not have eaten here. I won't be back. read more
