I haven't been here in so long; but the last time I was here I was underwhelmed, and the same thing happened this time. The ambience is nice. Our server was wonderful. But we waited for a very blasé, boring, expensive salad. The dressing was good. It was a cilantro vinegar potion. And the chicken was grilled and tasty. It's just it was boring: a plate of chopped up lettuce, chopped up pieces of grilled chicken, a few chunks of grilled corn off the cob, a couple of tablespoons of black beans and half of an avocado on top. All that for 16 bucks. Oh, and I forgot to mention the three grape tomatoes that I did find. Since I shared the salad with my friend, we also got a dinner salad on the side for $5 dollars. It was a plate of chopped up Romaine, with shredded Parmesan on top and vinegar with sugar. Yes, you got it right, sugar. Who puts sugar on a salad? Anyway, left unsatisfied. The food was very good but cold because the servers kept opening the doors to outside. When we asked to keep them closed because we were cold too(blowing cold air in) 1 person helped and taped it. Sadly the next server to go out ripped the tape off and gave us attitude. The manager said she couldn't do much..Towards the end of the meal they finally taped it again. We were a group of 7. A great place for Sunday Brunch! PSA: While you can't make a reservation you can call ahead and put your name down but I believe you ask have to physically check in within a certain time. We got there at 11am and it wasn't too crowded but just enough to feel like we were at THE SPOT!! The service was great and the food was even better! We had to wait about 30-40 minutes to be seated since they were busy, but it wasn't a big deal with it being nice weather and a nice area to walk around until they texted us they were ready. My boyfriend and I went here on President's Day 2022 for breakfast. After waiting about 45 minutes for a table we were finally sat. It took the waiter about 25 minutes to finally greet us and take our drink order. That right there showed us why they had such a long wait because the staff seemed short and inefficient. I ordered the Dutch baby, which came out burnt and tasted awful. They must have used a million eggs in this thing because that's all I tasted. I couldn't taste the apple or lemon because it was so over cooked and overpowered by egg. My boyfriend ordered the bubble waffle thing, which was better than the Dutch baby but not by much. The coffee and fresh fruit were good but the fresh fruit wasn't worth $7 as it came in a little cup. The service, while friendly, was super slow and after being sat, we were there for over 90 minutes, mostly waiting to put our order in and for the check. I wonder how many people dine and dash here because we literally waited a good 30 min for our check to come. In response to the business owner's comments: I definitely don't appreciate the cattiness and sarcasm in her response. I didn't mention my dissatisfaction with the Dutch baby because our server was nowhere to be found and we were on a time crunch. After waiting a total of over an hour just to put the food order in, we couldn't wait any longer for more food. I mean it took 15 min just to get coffee. The server never asked "how's everything". He took our order and then the next time we saw him, he was bringing the check so how was I supposed to say something? And no duh, I know you don't use a million eggs in the Dutch baby, you just use way too many, that's all I know because that's all I tasted. And yes it was burnt, why would I lie? This is one of those instances where I wish there were options for 1/2 stars because our experience was better than 4 stars. Let me first start by saying our server Alexasandra was awesome! When we explained it was our first time here, she made some suggestions about the most popular as well as her favorites items and then was patient with us allowing us enough time to look over the menu she was attentive to our needs but not overly intrusive. I chose the country chicken ($14) which was a split biscuit topped with a breaded and fried chicken breast and topped with cream gravy. I also added two eggs on top (+$2) I really love how they split the biscuit in half and grill it till it's a beautiful golden brown. The chicken was a good size portion that was fried to perfection. It was a beautiful color but still moist and tender inside. The gravy also has a great flavor. I'm a huge lover of biscuits and gravy and SOS. I think next time I'll maybe try an order of toast and gravy and one of those cool bubble waffles that I saw so many people enjoying. The only thing that kept me from giving 5 stars is the inside of the restaurant is kind of dark with the only light coming from the windowed wall at the front of the restaurant and the two-top tables are a little small and not comfortable for anyone over 6' to eat at, besides that everything was perfect! read more

My partner came back to Tucson to visit me and one of his favorite places for breakfast is Teaspoon (we ended up ordering out twice during his stay). I love their menu and they have an extensive variety of flavors, whatever you are in the mood for you can find! I usually will order something savory and sweet to get that perfect balance of flavors~ I normally order the herb french toast which has a savory twist with ingredients like eggs, a handful of herbs, sausage gravy, and parmesan. It is very tasty! It also comes with a small greens mix~ I will also get the "normal" dutch baby for my sweet tooth. Its a warm and sweet cast iron german pancake that tastes amazing~ I did try the strawberries and cream croissants, not as good as the dutch baby, but it was nice to try something new, made me realize how much I like the german pancake. My partner always get the southwestern skillet. I usually end up stealing a lot off his plate, because the potatoes are so good. For his sweet treat, he gets the blueberry pancakes, which are always fluffy and perfectly warm. We have not been in the restaurant for a while and normally do take out because they are often very busy. If you do end up going during a lull, the restaurant is hidden away and is very cute and trendy. They also have plenty of outdoor seating and a great ambiance. read more

No need for any syrups. The second time was for lunch. The quality of the food was excellent. We had grilled cheese sandwich, the apple salad and the chorizo omelet. The omelet and the fries that came with the sandwich were cold. Nothing worse than cold fries. They remade the fries and they were hot and crispy deliciousness of white and sweet potatoes.
