The food was mostly wonderful, one plate ( filet Benedict) had to be sent back because eggs were hard, had to hunt down the waitress who should of checked back... the manger quickly took care of it, but our guest had to wait while we started eating or our food would have gotten cold. This brings me to the service, starting with a unprofessional hostess who left her smile at home...all service staff seemed tired and unenthusiastic! We came here for brunch Sunday and got here around 11am. They do not take reservations on weekends for parties smaller than 6. The was was quoted at about 55mins. We went to the Whole Foods bar and got a drink/snacks while we waited. We sat inside because their misters are not currently working on the shaded patio. It was actually really cold where we sat and I needed a jacket. Service was great! Our food came out really fast but the mimosas came out a bit slower. I was curious to see if the wait times reduce if you come later and at 12:30 the wait time was 45/50 mins for a table of 2. There were some empty tables by 1:30pm. They do have bottomless mimosas which I did not do. Their mimosa with OJ on the side was really good. Ben liked his irish coffee. I thought the filet mignon steak was pretty good but wished there was a little more steak on it. His lobster and crab omelet was just ok. Not enough actual lobster and crab in it. Overall a really cute place to brunch. Expect to wait but just grab a drink at Whole Foods and it's not a bad wait. read more

I've been a big fan of Teaspoon on Oracle, service has been great and food was delicious and satisfying.... But unfortunately today, that was not the experience: 25 minutes of estimated wait was reported upon arrival, which was comparable to previous occasions. Time went by past the 30 minutes waiting, so I inquired on the remaining time to wait, hoping for a few more minutes. But to my surprise, I learned that my party was at the top of the list and an additional 20 minutes were needed to have a table for a party of three... I asked about the reason for the unexpected longer additional time (given our spot on the list) and the lack of previous notice on such time extension, receiving only a nonchalant "we cannot guarantee the waiting time". I understand that there are patrons that stay longer as food is good and this stretches the waiting time, but in the past I have received updates on the waiting time, before the original period of time expired... the most intriguing part is that there were multiple tables available inside the restaurant, with no note or sign to announce any reservation... I had to cancel my spot in line and leave, to have breakfast elsewhere today. I hope that communication with waiting parties improves and a better use of the tables takes place to accommodate those waiting clients under the sun. read more

Nice variety to select from. Our party tried the Dutch Baby, which I describe as a cross between a crepe and a pancake. It was supposed to have apples in it, but I literally found only 3 very thin slivers, which was disappointing. Even so, taste and texture were on point. We also ordered the herb French toast. This one was a let down, as the Feench toast part was a few small slices of sourdough with herbs, but nothing like French toast. The eggs were, well, eggs. This plate came with a good handful of frilly lettuce to the side, but with nothing else on it but a light dressing so it didn't feel as fancy as it could have. read more

My first visit was today and I'm happy that I finally got here with friends. We called to get on the waitlist but arrived 3 minutes past 20 so we were off the list. However, the Hostess was very helpful and got us seated quickly. We were waited on almost immediately by Tyler who did great job taking care of us. The menu selections are very unique and tasty. We all enjoyed our meals. I can comment on my Morning Grilled Cheese with bacon. The upcharge for the 2 slices of bacon was $3.50. There were a lot of ingredients on the sandwich and it was delicious. I only had to add a little salt for my taste. The others had salads and sandwiches and ate every bite. The atmosphere was very welcoming, the restrooms very clean (only singles, one for men and the other women). Worth a try. read more

Went the other day for breakfast,our second time visiting and I will never go back. We were quoted 30 minutes with four parties ahead of us and various dirty tables sitting empty. I attempted to complain to the manager about the apparent lack of bussers but was told by the hostess ( who could have bussed a table) that she was busy and would come talk to me " soon". No manager ever came over to my or any other table,should be always on the floor if possible. Coffee drinks were brought with no spoons or sweetener, not in roll up,nothing on table but water,with no glasses,lol. Food was ok ,asked waiter for check and he went to take another order,never returned,had to get up to pay. I am a retired career restaurant worker,started at the bottom and ended as a longtime GM,when this many problems occur during one visit it's not worth going back,there are a lot of great restaurants out there to patronize. read more

The drink menu and cocktails are exceptional and they also have cold brew and coffee options. When you check out the menu for Teaspoon, you'll see a couple of codes marked on the menu items. {gf} is marked next to meals that don't have any gluten in the dish to start with, and {gs} is marked next to the items that have a gluten free substitute available. I was really pleased to see that {gs} next to so many dishes!! When I decided to order the Crab Benedict dish, I asked the staff about dairy in the ingredients. They were extremely knowledgeable about dairy items that people try to avoid! Such a relief. So I had my meal with no butter on the toast, and they brought out the Hollandaise on the side, just in case. We went on a Sunday, during the hustle and bustle of prime breakfast adventures. The wait wasn't very long cause we sat at the bar. The service was professional and nice. I got an iced coffee that was like liquid dessert, so delicious. Our food was delicious and came out fairly quickly. I had the southwestern skillet. It was yummy and had great flavor, but I didn't love the overwhelming amount of corn in the dish. I took it home and attempted to remove some of it before I ate it later. My boyfriend had the shrimp scampi, it was delicious as well. His only negative was that the sauce was too watery. I've heard great things about this place from multiple people and we would return. Overall it was a good experience. The vibe and atmosphere of the place is chic and upbeat. Music playing. Second time at teaspoon I had what I've heard so much about, their pancakes. This may be the best breakfast restaurant We have EVER eaten at while traveling. The breakfast skillet was amazing & the blueberry pancakes were full of blueberries. I have always wanted to try Teaspoon. We sat at the bar and had a prickly pear mimosa . I couldn't taste the prickly pear so I asked for a some orange juice . We order a skillet and what we were informed "the best chilaquiles in town". The skillet was good and I hope to try the others. The chilaquiles we're pretty good but not the best in town. We ventured all the way from the south side of Tucson in order to have brunch at Teaspoon. It was absolutely worth the trip. There was a considerable wait this morning, and did! because you have to check in outside in the courtyard, that's not a lot of fun when it's so hot. Now, with that being said, there are a few benches scattered here and there and a (somewhat) shaded staircase to sit on. Because it was so busy, most of those spots were already taken. DH found a spot near the patio misters to sit, so all's well that ends well. DH had the Vietnamese coffee, which was delicious. It came out looking beautiful with the gold pour over on top (I said it looked like a top hat, since it did!) I had the Boston iced tea (black tea, cranberry juice, simple syrup and a lemon wheel) and it was also very tasty. A personal favorite flavor combo for me is when sour and sweet meet, and it was POPPING. I'll be trying to make it myself at home soon. read more

A childish name for a pretty anti child environment. Beware there are no kids menus. Don't be fooled by the kids cups, boosters, or high chairs I'm pretty sure they'd rather you leave your kids at home. And that's their prerogative if so. Maybe the waiter shouldn't have made a weird joke on behalf of the restaurant hating kids but after my experience today that's exactly how it felt. Anyway, my table didn't order any of their signature dishes but it was just about as good as you can get it anywhere, say chilis for example. I popped into Teaspoon a few months ago while waiting for my pup's veterinarian appointment to end and I was pleasantly surprised. Their outdoor patio is a whole vibe and perfect during the spring/summer. I came in during the week so getting a table was quick. They have an extensive brunch menu, and I really enjoyed my food. Service was a little slow, but I probably didn't mind as I was enjoying a delicious cafe latte and people-watching while I waited on food. The fact that they're dog friendly is an added bonus as I got to meet several cute, well-behaved dogs enjoying the patio with their owners. This a great spot to not only grab a bite but also a coffee while enjoying the sun and a good book. I look forward to coming back! read more
