Tea Light Café is located in the Scottsdale 101 Plaza. This is a great choice to meet a friend, take a partner or dine alone. Staff are nice and helpful. We decided on bun (vermicelli) with chicken as our protein. The dish comes with 2 crispy egg rolls. We decided to sit outside under a shaded area. The cafe has a few tables inside too. Service was swift. This dish looked great with crunchy lettuce, chicken, cucumbers, bean sprouts and rice noodles. Bun is usually served cold and thought of as a salad. I asked the noodles to be warmed up which they were happy to do. It comes with a bowl of fish sauce to pour over the noodles if you desire . The egg rolls were delicious. They were crispy and tasty. The bun was delicious as well. Fresh ingredients and everything went together nicely. A very enjoyable lunch with a friend. Shared parking lot. read more

The food is delicious and hits the spot. The service was pretty standard, and the waiter answered our questions about dietary restrictions. The decorations were lovely, and you can tell that much thought was put into them. If you get the pho, I would definitely ask for extra limes since they only give you one. Nice place to eat on the patio in the Phoenix Sun . Tea light cafe special was a pretty good deal since it includes a medium sized pho bowl and egg rolls/spring rolls. You're allowed to sub egg rolls for spring rolls and vice versa. You go in and pay first and essentially have to serve yourself. That's nice for the business but seems a bit lazy compared to other Vietnamese restaurants we've been to. The Vietnamese coffee is decent. They will give you cold drinks automatically unless you specifically ask for hot. Pros: I liked that they gave me the lime juice in the plate in addition to limes. I always have to ask for extra limes at other restaurants. Meat is very good. It feels like they simplified the menu which I like. Cons: Soup is not very hot when it comes out and does not taste as flavorful. Feels like they are doing the bare minimum for the cost. Not much meat is given for each bowl. read more

This place is located at a great location, in the same plaza as the Harkins 101 movie theater. A good spot to come to before or after watching a movie! I've been here a few times, and I can say that even though their menu is a bit on the smaller side, what they offer is mighty in taste, quality, and flavor. Their pho broth, spring rolls, and egg rolls are standard in taste and up to par with larger Vietnamese establishments. I recently had the pleasure of trying out their marinated grilled pork chops and it was delicious. The pork chops had great flavoring, runs a bit on the sweeter side, but not overwhelmingly so, the pickled cabbage and carrots that came with it nicely balanced out the flavors. The meat was also not too tough or too chewy, it wasn't too dry either which is always a fear when ordering pork chop anywhere. If you've never had boba before, I recommend trying boba from this place. They offer friendly introductory flavors. If you're looking for not too sweet recommendations, then I would suggest either the taro or mango flavor! I'm in a mood to have pho for lunch today. I came here based on previous positive reviews on Yelp. Here's the details: Arrived around 12 noon, parking is more than enough as there are multiple businesses in the area. No shaded parking so be prepared. This is a mall shopping area with a few handicap parking immediately in front of this place. You walk up to the counter and place an order based on the menu pictures you see above the counter, a little over a dozen selections along with self serve fountain drinks. The seating is around a dozen indoor tables with a few outside tables with table umbrellas providing shade. I ordered the beef pho and it was served in about 5 minutes to my table, I love how fast that was. There were maybe 8 other patrons in the indoor dining area. Meal was ok, what makes pho phenomenal is actually the broth and this was not the worse but neither was it the best. I'd say fairly this was just average. I consider this the Jenny Craig version of a pho meal, it's tastes very healthy and very low salt. Maybe that's why the broth isn't that rich. I'm used to very complex tasting broth. Either way, you should try it and I'm still giving them 5 stars as there were no bad issues. If you come here with a big crowd, it will be very challenging as this is a small establishment. I'd say any party of more than 7 people will be absolutely need to take up 2 or 3 tables. The lighting and ambience is very nice and they play easy listening good vibes music. I found the counter female who took my order to be very cute. The best part of this place is the pricing is very reasonable. I tipped 15%. Please give these guys a try. read more
