This is my favorite place for a little treat. The Peach Me Freezie is the absolute best!! Real peach and strawberry bits inside. I get all my drinks "lite sweet" because the real fruit makes it sweet enough for me. I also always get the karate chicken! Sooo good! The staff is always so quick and very helpful! They ask people to wait outside after ordering. Your name appears on the screen when your items are ready and you can go back in to get it. They are great about getting orders out in 5 min or so. I've been to a couple of the other Tastea locations and feel like this one is just okay. My go to drinks are the jasmine milk tea, strawberry sensation, strawberry banana, and taro. I've tried each of these drinks here and they felt a bit more diluted than I'm used to. The drinks are good if you don't have a comparison to the other locations. The boba is a hit or miss for me. Some days the boba would be nice and chewy and other times it would be stale and tasteless. I figure this will be one of the locations where I just skip out on the boba (I guess it'll save me some money and calories lol). When you order "no ice" in your fruit teas and milk teas, make sure to tell them to top it off with tea or they won't fill it to the top. The other locations will either ask you if you want it topped off or will do it automatically. You have to be a bit more proactive here. Stopped by on a Tuesday night around 8pm. To my surprise, there were actually quite a few people. Everyone was enjoying their orders and the staff was friendly. I walked up to order and got the classic milk tea and small popcorn chicken (spicy level 3). My milk tea was made to perfection. You can choose the sweetness level and how much ice you want. The real cherry on top for me is the oat milk substitution. I was in heaven. This drink was so refreshing I finished it very quickly. For the popcorn chicken, I was pleasantly surprised how much they jam pack into that little boat. I couldn't finish it by myself. A lot of the pieces were on the small side (almost like crumbs) but I didn't mind. I like the bite size pieces. The spice level wasn't as spicy as I was expecting but still very good. Also appreciate that they have a screen that you can see your name from the outside to see if your drinks are ready to pick up. The classic pearl milk tea is solid here. I usually get 50% sweet or less, and that's plenty sweet for me, especially with the honey boba. I tried the regular boba once, but it had zero flavor, and honestly what's the point? However even with it being zoo like and all the crazy ass wild animals running about tryna get some boba, I found their line process to be extremely efficient and we got our drinks in no time. It's been a few years since I first tried Tastea - at that time, I wasn't a fan, thought it was expensive and not that good. I think I had gotten a milk tea. Finally made it back and tried the fruit teas, and I'm loving it!!! The fruity options are where it's at! Fruit teas, smoothies, and slushy freezes. I don't think the drinks are pricier than other places, and they also have a 32 oz option which I've gotten every time lol. They make online ordering easy through their app and also have a pretty good reward for signing up for the first time - way better than the buy 8 or 9 drinks, get 1 free thing other places do if they offer anything at all. A lot of the drinks already come with an add-on included, too! The add-on options are plentiful, including standard toppings options, but Tastea also has fruit options, even including lychee and longan plus creme brulee and avocado (not sure how I feel about these last two tho). LOCATION // There are a bunch of other shops nearby (including a Target - you're welcome). Parking is pretty easy. It just depends on the time of day. DRINKS // I always come here when I want some fruit-flavored tea. I've never had any of their milk teas but I would rather get the flavored tea instead because that's what they're known for. I've been a regular at Tastea for a while now and I even own one of their reusable boba tumblers. I love their variety of fruit tea options and that they use real fruit in their drinks! It's like combining Jamba Juice and a boba shop in one! Tastea has a really small location in Irvine, but a pretty busy one nonetheless. I can always count on there being people inside this shop at any time of day. The store is clean and also has seating outdoors too. I usually get one of the following: Peach Me Sweet Tea, Lychee Peachee, The Unknown, Bootea Shaker, The Great White, or the newest addition Wintermelon Jasmine Green Tea! I love them all. Though Tastea was never a spot for quality milk teas, I have to say they've outdone themselves with their new Tiger Milk Tea and Wintermelon drinks! Every time I want a drink, I always drink the Tastea, Tastea... I've been to Tastea ever since at least 2009 or so, and when this location opened, I somehow remembered about that 2010 song! I was happy to see that it was opening at Crossroads, a plaza I frequently visit! I've been to this location a couple of times. It's located on the same side as Urban Plates and UPS Store. I usually get the Jasmine Milk Tea as well as the Peach Me Sweetea (both with boba). Both pretty delicious! 32oz is pretty big, so I wouldn't recommend it unless you're sharing it with someone! I have yet to try any of the food at this location though, but I'm pretty sure it'd taste like their OG location. When I first went there when they first opened, it was pretty crowded, but now the crowds have died down, so it's not bad at all. I know that the music was pretty loud, though, even though we were closer to the door and just waiting for our drinks, so a bit hard to have a conversation unless you're sitting close to each other. Other than that, this location isn't too bad. I'd come back again sooner or later. The drinks and boba are decent. I just have a bit more healthier diet now, so I've been sticking with Milk Box.
