I spent about $14 for an açai bowl their tropical mango bowl I believe. I had some modifications since I didn't like the raw coconut offering or the banana so I opted for sliced almonds and extra mango with almond butter on top. After waiting a few minutes, looking at the bowl, it didn't look like much and sadly it didn't taste like much either. The almond butter was globed on top and made it really difficult to eat. After bypassing the almond butter I was able to get into the açai which was way too sweet. I'm not sure what type of açai they use, but it did not taste like a freshly prepared açai it tasted more artificial and overly sweet. It may have also been sweet because of the honey I believe they put on top of it. The combination of the açai with the honey and then almond butter was way too sweet. The mango was OK not as firm as I would want it to be and the granola was at the bottom at the bowl and also sprinkled on top, but unfortunately it was the worst acai bowl I've ever had. Parking is free and they do offer a few seats inside. The staff was also really nice but unfortunately, if I do decide to come back maybe I'll try a smoothie instead.

The place was full when I arrived but it cleared out quickly. The employees were very helpful to my friend when she was ordering since it was her first time. It was a fast and easy ordering process. I ordered a 16 oz bowl with acai and blue coconut bases and my friend ordered the blue coconut smoothie. Blue Bowl never misses. Their bowls are always consistent and taste so good. The blue coconut base is my favorite base so I'm glad to have my again. Can't wait to come back!

I was out shopping with my kids, it was hot and all 3 kids were having a melt down. When we entered the store, it was complete chaos. My oldest son is autistic, nonverbal and was overstimulated. I just wanted a quick smoothie, but I almost turned around and walked out because we were causing such a scene. It was until the sweetest person approached my son and offered him a sticker. I believe her name was Genessa. I told her that I wasn't familiar with the menu and I just wanted a quick smoothie. Her kind heart and professionalism completely changed the dynamic and atmosphere. My kids were so drawn to her. She gave me a couple recommendations and I just told her to surprise me. She smiled and quickly wiped up the best smoothie I've ever had in my life. As I was walking out, I looked down at my cup, and she wrote down the sweetest message, "you are doing great mama, keep it up!" When I tell you the smallest little acts of kindness truly do make biggest impacts. She was kind to my children, calm down my autistic son, created the best smoothie and gave me the boost of confidence I needed to tackle the rest of the day. Elixir Superfood - 7/10…read more Beware the tiny women with small appetites who just finished Pilates, because the açaí bowls are MASSIVE. As a dude who picks up heavy things, I was excited about the food volume but I know my partner would need to offload the leftovers to her garbage disposal of a boyfriend. I stopped by Elixir Superfood near UCI for breakfast because I wanted an açaí bowl. Funny enough, I didn't realize there was a Blue Bowl right around the corner or I probably would have gone there. Still, I'm glad I gave Elixir a shot. The first thing I noticed was the size. When they handed me the bowl, it was heavy. This thing is thick with two C's. I was expecting a normal açaí bowl, but this was a legit meal. One thing I wasn't thrilled about was the pricing. There are quite a few upcharges. Adding protein cost me another $2.50, and after a 10% tip the total came out to around $20. That's definitely on the expensive side. That said, I do appreciate that they offer protein. Blue Bowl is great, but it's more of a Chipotle-style build-your-own setup, and you can't really add protein. Since I lift, having that option actually matters to me. Flavor-wise, it's exactly what you'd expect. It's a good açaí bowl. Nothing mind-blowing, but nothing disappointing either. The lid did flatten the presentation a bit, but let's be honest, you're about to destroy it anyway, so who really cares? I was also pleasantly surprised that the rest of the menu looked solid. They have salads, rice bowls, protein bowls, juices, and everything I saw looked pretty good. I only tried the açaí bowl this time, but I'd come back to try some of the other food. Overall, I'd give Elixir Superfood a 7/10. It's above average, mostly because of the portion size. If you're just getting a standard bowl without a bunch of add-ons, I think it's a pretty good value. If you like loading your bowl up with lots of toppings, Blue Bowl is probably still the better choice. But as someone who powerlifts, I actually appreciated getting a bigger, more filling breakfast here.

They have different bases, matcha, coconut, mango, acaí, and not sure what else. I usually get coconut, mango and add overnight oats. It's a very good combination. The mango base is a bit sweet for me, but it balances out with the coconut and oats. I love the honey almond granola, not sweet, which I love. They have papaya, mango, peach, banana, strawberry, blueberries, and probably forgetting others lol. I only add mango and banana. You can add Nutella, condensed milk, peanut butter, almond butter, pistachio butter, i usually don't. I just add agave, but they also have honey. They also have seeds, yogurt, bee pollen, goji berries, toasted coconut, etc. Besides acaí bowls they have empanadas, never tried, and smoothies. I like how they're open late, they close at 10.
