I spent about $14 for an açai bowl their tropical mango bowl I believe. I had some modifications since I didn't like the raw coconut offering or the banana so I opted for sliced almonds and extra mango with almond butter on top. After waiting a few minutes, looking at the bowl, it didn't look like much and sadly it didn't taste like much either. The almond butter was globed on top and made it really difficult to eat. After bypassing the almond butter I was able to get into the açai which was way too sweet. I'm not sure what type of açai they use, but it did not taste like a freshly prepared açai it tasted more artificial and overly sweet. It may have also been sweet because of the honey I believe they put on top of it. The combination of the açai with the honey and then almond butter was way too sweet. The mango was OK not as firm as I would want it to be and the granola was at the bottom at the bowl and also sprinkled on top, but unfortunately it was the worst acai bowl I've ever had. Parking is free and they do offer a few seats inside. The staff was also really nice but unfortunately, if I do decide to come back maybe I'll try a smoothie instead.

I feel like I like being able to eat so many fun toppings even more than the actual acai base, so I love how they have a huge variety of ones to choose from. Didn't know the Spectrum opened up an Earthbowl until recently and I placed an order online as I was in a rush. I will say that some of my favorite toppings were out of stock online, like the mulberries and cacao nibs. I remember they would always load me up on those and they were so good! I was craving acai about a week later and went to order again online, but those two toppings were still unavailable so I didn't end up ordering again. All in all, still love Earthbowl but I think the Lake Forest location still has the #1 spot in my heart. The sizes here have also gotten a little smaller and prices have gone up, but I get that a lot of time has passed. I'll definitely be waiting for those toppings to be restocked and if I'm at the Spectrum again, would love to give it a try again!

The Irvine location, however, was a completely different story. The Strawberry Shortcake Smoothie was rich, flavorful, fresh-tasting, and beautifully vibrant in color. It was so good that after my first sip, I turned around before even getting back to my car and bought a second smoothie--the Mint Chocolate Chip. A few days later, I came back again. That's how impressed I was. The contrast between the two locations was shocking. The Irvine team clearly knows how to make these smoothies consistently and with the right balance of ingredients. After my Long Beach experience, I honestly wouldn't dare order the Strawberry Shortcake again without modifications or asking extra questions about how it's prepared. But at Irvine, I'd give it 6 stars if I could. Same smoothie, same company, completely different experience.

The problem with this sandwich chain is one and only: They have a huge issue with quality consistency. Ask their managers and they will tell you that the portions and sandwiche ingredients are strictly measured, but as a customer you know that's not the case. You go to some places and get these tiny sandwiches with two slices of bread and barely any ingredients in between. The Tustin location, located in Whole Foods has been the worst offender at this by far. Now this Campus Drive location has been creating the best, most generous, consistent sandwiches. Unfortunately, it doesn't happen every time still. It all depends on who you get as you cook on that day, crafting your sandwich. Some day sandwiches that get to the table are juicy and enjoyable, and sometimes, they come out to be disappointedly small, with minimum amount of ingredients. I had to complain to the manager a couple of times, but it doesn't help. Every time I come here, I pray to get the right chef who will make my sandwich well. Absolutely hate being at their mercy.

I love how gently cooked and well-seasoned the vegetables were. The mashed potato is to die for - creamy and delicious.
