I never have written a review before but this experience warranted one. I wanted to try out the place for the first time and it turned out to be one of the worst experiences. I am not sure the other locations are like this but it seems customer service is really lacking here. There was only one person who already ordered and was waiting for her order. I was not greeted in any way or told they would be right with me when I came in. Kind of felt ignored. Ok that's fine whatever let them finish what they are doing since it was only two workers and possibly online orders? Waited 5-7 min and finally get help and girl cashier gets my name wrong ok that is fine too I can just wait for that name to be called not a big deal since its very noisy with fans and machines running while music is playing. Also, it was just me and a female customer. I get my drink and it was fine and was told they were working on the popcorn chicken not a problem I didn't mind the wait. Another customer walks in and the male worker finishes the order for the first customer but it looks like he was a little irritated with his interaction with her. When my order was done, the middle-aged man comes out and calls me by the name they gave me and the other customer as well. I walk up to grab my order that he placed on the pick-up counter closest to me. This is when it goes sour for me because I could barely make out what he was saying. It sounded like he wanted to verify it was for me and was the correct order I say yes and proceeded to leave because it was. He asks me something else about sauce so I thought he asked if I had the weak sauce but I saw it was the correct sauce in my bag so I said yes its correct. He proceeds to get irritated at me and makes a angry face and waves me off and I get confused. He makes the other customer laugh at me at the counter and he kind of smirks as I left. I really didn't appreciate that interaction and definitely will not be coming back. It could have been avoided too since my order was correct but I guess he wanted to humiliate me. The drink was decent but the food was overpriced for a large $13 popcorn chicken that was burnt. Maybe skip out on the food. Customer service was definitely worse. The middle-aged man working the counter on 9/24/25 in the afternoon around 1-2pm needs to really needs to work on his customer service skills. I was patient with them and should have just asked for a refund but it wasn't worth ruining my day further. Remember to NOT tip before you get your order or you might regret it at this location or just don't come here altogether. I know I am not perfect but the attitude was not needed along with them getting the other customer involved in the situation. read more

4 stars Stopped by for some milk tea after a shopping trip at 99 Ranch. Location-wise, I think it's really convenient and free parking being a major plus. A couple years back (beforetimes), I tried this boba shop and didn't really like it, so I never came back. This time, I ordered the Horchata Milk Tea (less ice, less sugar) and a Vietnamese Ice Coffee (full ice, full sugar) and both drinks were quite good! Horchata Milk Tea came with Toasted Crunch Cereal on top which made the drink fun to eat/drink. The salted cream foam balanced the drink really well. Cinnamon flavor was pretty light. Vietnamese Ice Coffee was strong and full sugar was perfect for me and my mom. It definitely helped cut through the bitterness of the coffee. As someone who doesn't really like bitter coffee, I found this to be pretty well balanced. I think if I added a little more condensed milk, I'd like it more. At the time that I went (Saturday afternoon-ish), the place was pretty packed. I think from waiting in line, placing an order, to pick up, I waited somewhere between 15-25 minutes. Lychee peachee 5/5 - this is one of my go to drinks here. I love the flavor of the tea. I got 75% sweet and it was still pretty sweet so I don't recommend getting full sweetness. We also got less ice and they didn't charge us more or give us less which is nice! Staff is very friendly and the drink was ready within a couple mins of ordering. Love Tastea! I've been coming here for years. The locations are quick and consistent. What I got: Strawberry Matcha Milk Tea Mango Milk Tea (half sweet) Delicious as always! There is ample parking, as it is located next to the 99Ranch. The one downside to this location is that it is not a suuuper enjoyable place to hang around outside. Not terrible, just not great. Parking: Easy huge parking lot no problems whatsoever, all free. I love tastea, it's my favourite spot in Alhambra currently because they offer the delicious 32oz great white. I've been going here for a while and it's always been consistent on satisfying the fruit tea craving without making me feel like having a sugar crash afterwards. Their rewards program has lots of promotions that are always winners. Tastea doesn't have the most unique or gourmet flavours but they are consistent and cater to my taste buds. Not much to say about service, it's good, they don't win awards for going above and beyond but they are always polite and prompt when taking my order. The store itself is nice to just chill and sit in, I'm not sure if it's appropriate to study in but the ac hits and the location is nice. read more

This one compared to the one in Rowland, is kind of off? Every time I come here, my drink is either too sweet or it's really watered down. I remember asking if they can slushify my drink and they said they don't do that so this time on the app, I saw that there was a slush version with a $1.00 charge. I got really excited since I love slushes. So I decided to try it with the Matcha Thai Tea. I got it with oat milk and coffee jelly. I had high expectations since most of the places in this area have really good matcha slushes, like Half and Half or Sunright, but this drink was not. The drink tasted off. In some parts it was super watery, some parts it had no sugar, and some parts it the sugar wasn't mixed well and was overly sweet. The ice was mostly on the top too and not blended well. I don't think they're use to making these slushes, besides the ones that they already have on the menu since this drink isn't normally made that way. The other drinks were good according to my friend though and the service was decent. The girl working was pretty nice. read more

By far my favorite Tastea location! This store just got a little bit of an update with their decor and menu board since the last time I came in - it looks great! Menu is a little harder to read since I'm not yet used to the change in colors and placement of items but I'm glad that nothing has been removed. My husband and I love coming to this location because their staff is always so friendly, keep the store clean, and drinks always come out great. Our go-to drinks are the Strawberry Sensation (blended), Peach Me Sweetea (but with green tea instead of black tea), and now currently their Strawberry Milk Tea. Tip: Right now for October if you order the Pink Ribbon Milk Tea (strawberry milk tea), they will donate 20% to Runway for Recovery in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month. Most of the time when I order Tastea, I get lite sweet since med sweet is still too much. My order this time around was their golden milk tea, oolong milk tea, and karate chicken. Golden milk tea: 3/5. I personally didn't really like the flavor that much. I think it was too milky for my liking. Oolong milk tea: 4.5/5. I like their oolong milk tea. The sweetness, tea quality, and milk balance quite nicely. Karate chicken: 2.5/5. The chicken was a but dry and the flavor of it doesn't taste like a typical popcorn chicken. My order seemed liked the chicken was over cooked. I didn't really enjoy it too much and I don't think it is worth $10. Not only is the taste not that good, the portion size for that price isn't really worth it. Generally the service is pretty solid. The workers are nice and will try to be accommodating. This location has a few tables for you to sit and chill with friends, but it is not the most comfortable. I've always gotten their fruit teas, so the milk teas were a first for me. Jasmine milk tea: Good and strong jasmine flavors, but too sweet at normal sugar levels. Thai tea with boba: Perfectly cooked chewy boba! Thai tea was also too sweet for me. Overall, milk teas were decent, but too sweet for me. I think I will enjoy them better at med sugar in the future. I was in a rush today, so I didn't get to ask them to add more ice or help me adjust it. Tastea has easily become one of my favorite boba spots because of its consistency across all locations! I've tried a majority of their drinks and there hasn't been one I was dissatisfied with. My go-to drinks are usually The Unknown or Peach Me Sweetea with honey boba. Their boba has a soft consistency and it never tastes old. I also like how they change the color of their boba to match certain holidays (red for Valentines day, red and green for the Winter Holidays, etc.) Make sure to download their app for points! I like this location because parking is always super easy since it is a shared lot with 99 Ranch. There's also tables and chairs inside, so its easy to hang out with friends. I love Tastea and so excited thay they've been opening more locations all around. They just came out with an oolong milk tea and j was so excited to try! Oolong is one of my preferred milk tea to get and they do it well! I normally go for their flavored tea and avocado smoothie but I may start coming more for their oolong milk tea! Their boba is really good too and they honestly have one of the best popcorn chicken! I'm sad not all of their locations offer food and it's only at select locations. I personally love their popcorn chicken and their fried aren't half bad! The prices went up though.. And now they offer two different sizes. I also love that you can substitute the tea base now! One of my go-to locations. Tastea has never failed me and I love the convenience of ordering my drinks in advance. It's hard to find a good boba place that meets the standards of both of my parents, so when I found the one, I can't turn my back. I'm set for life. Tastea has a variety of options ranging from coffee, tea, smoothies, etc. They can suit anyone's taste buds. My parents enjoy the Lychee Peachee and claim it to be better than their favorite drink from SunMerry. That's major props from them. I can't really say what my favorite is and really depends how I'm feeling. Some of my favorites: 1. Peachme Sweetea - It's refreshing and has real fruit, so I don't feel as guilty for all of the added sugar 2. Yummy Gummy (smoothie) - When I need a sugar high. It's super sweet, so the name doesn't lie. Truly yummy 3. Seafoam Jasmine Iced Tea - The classic that got me hooked on Tastea several years ago. Nostalgic and can't be beat 4. Strawberry Sensation - these names need no explaining 5. Ooh La La - My current favorite. I don't really like coconut but this drink is so tropical and delicious, I can't say no. I almost listed their entire menu excluding their milk teas. In addition to their awesome drinks, I love the convenience of their mobile app. I can order my drinks in advance and pick it up at the window, while also redeeming points. Not happy at all with the delivery of the fries and chicken through postmates. I was excited to eat the fries and chicken since I basically grew up going to tastea with my friends since high school. I've always gone to the Rowland heights location and not this Alhambra one but I cant imagine it would be that different. I ordered fries, chicken, and a large peachme sweet tea. The fries were sooo bad I couldn't even believe it. They came dark/burnt looking and it looked like they used old oil to fry it. Same with the chicken.. I was probably moreso disappointed because you are paying $7.50 for a few pieces of chicken but you would expect that chicken to actually be made correctly/good. I ended up calling the store and telling them about it but they seem to not be very trained in customer service because usually workers would know to apologize and offer some way to fix it rather than me asking. I suggested that they remake it and I would drive over to pick it up. I was pretty annoyed though because the whole point of ordering delivery is so that I don't have to waste time driving to the store. The fries from the store came out to be better and more fresh so I appreciated that. I guess the quality just diminishes once you leave the store even though I'm only a 5-7 min drive from this place. Either way, I probably won't come back to this location but maybe give the Rowland heights one another chance. Drinks are good though so I can't completely give this place up. Ordered our usual onlije and when we to pick up, they didn't have it ready. Somehow it was overlooked and not made. Had to wait another 25 minutes. I have always loved Tastea. Their honey boba is soft and chewy and the sweetness is on point. I went to this location last week since I'm new to the neighborhood. The service is a little slower than other OC Tastea locations but nothing too dramatic The staff isn't that welcoming but not rude anyway. I would probably do online order next time instead of walk in for a faster service (hopefully). Other than that, I have and will always love Tastea. Good quality of drinks and pretty flavorful. Try it when you can. WHAT I GOT: Watermelon Heaven with Honey Boba - this drink is so refreshing and has summer vibes written all over it. It's so flavorful and perfect for the weather. This review is lonnng overdue. I've been visiting Tastea ever since it opened a few years back and my most recent visit was earlier today. Backstory: Tastea will always have a soft spot in my heart ever since I discovered it in Westminster during my college days yearssss back. I'll crave it from time to time and I typically prefer their fruity tea drinks. Anyways, Tastea converted to app order and pick up early on when COVID first started to get real serious in March. I actually think this system is a lot more efficient because instead of waiting in person, ordering and waiting, you can skip the line and pre-order on your app, which also periodically provides discount codes and promotions. The store is also located conveniently on East Main Street in the 99 Ranch market plaza and I've never had issues with parking (COVID or not). I put in my order on the app: Tropical Bliss w/ Aloe - med sweet ($7.35), 2 Peach Me Sweet Tea - reg sweet ($6.25), The Unknown - reg sweet ($6.25). All 32 oz w/ less ice, which I included in the notes. I also got 2 orders of Butt Load of Fries (one mild, one med spicy), and you can choose up to 3 sauces with each order. The whole order took around 10 minutes or so to finish. The pickup system is pretty fast. They have speakers outside and they yell your name when your order is ready. Fortunately when we drove over, they had just yelled my name so my bf and I went inside the door (where they provide some hand sanitizer) and told them my name. A staff member quickly got my drinks and fries and off we went. I've always loved the Peach Me Sweet Tea and will typically always order it when I visit any Tastea. However throughout the years, the tea has gotten significantly sweeter and I always try to dilute it at home (which means more drink - yaaas). My recent favorite drink has been the Tropical Bliss - a fruitea mix of orange juice, pineapple juice, guava and jasmine green tea -medium sugar. Oh boy, this drink is so refreshing and thirst-quenching. I'll even think about the drink even after I finish it haha. If you add in some aloe bits, theres a lil something to chew on (which I'm used to from the peach me sweet tea). This drink is considered to be 'premium' and is around $0.50 more than the signature drinks because there's so many different juices. On to the food: the Butt Load of Fries were a little soggier today. They weren't as fresh and crispy as they normally would but it's probably because they were sitting in the box and we didn't air them out as we drove home. The fries were on the salty side and the medium spicy had more of a kick than usual. I typically will love the fries but today, I wasn't as impressed, but maybe next time will be better. All in all, I still love Tastea. Sure prices has gone up over the years but it's a safe go-to. Love the convenience and drinks are typically done right. Come try it and see. P.S.
