A friend recommended this place, and it did not disappoint, in fact, it exceeded all of our expectations! From the moment we walked in, we were treated like friends who had come to visit. The staff was incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home. My family and I love Mediterranean food, but we had never tried Egyptian food before. Let me tell you, we will definitely be regular customers from now on! The food was amazing. I had the beef shawarma bowl, and the portion was huge. I actually love that because it means I have delicious leftovers for today too. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. We also tried two different desserts, and both were outstanding: creamy, delicious, and not overly sweet. You can tell they're made with quality ingredients and balanced flavors. Excellent food, generous portions, warm hospitality, and an overall wonderful experience. Highly recommend!
Tasa2Go has great tasting entrees and dessert. Food was delicious! Sadly, the seating area is quite small and its very hot inside, so the ambiance was not great. You can choose to sit outside but it's not very comfortable and doesn't look very clean. However, regardless of the not so great seating arrangements the food was so good and I would still go back. Decent customer service.
The best Egyptian food ever! I drive 40 mins just to come here for the deliciousness. Service is amazing, they're very nice and professional. Highly recommend. Dont forget to order sakalans ;)
Wow, one of the best meals I've had in Fullerton. This was my first time trying Egyptian food and I loved it. I ordered the kabab wrapped in lamb fat sandwich and i audibly let out a "wow". It was juicy, perfect ratio of meat to fat, and the sauce and onions added a little bit of brightness. I paired this with the mango juice. I was in heaven. It was so delicious, I brought my friends with me the next time. I can't wait to come back and try more on their menu. There's a few tables inside and outside, but I can see this place potentially becoming very busy. Service was great, the cashier was helpful and friendly. Overall, I highly recommend trying Tasa2Go.
Great Egyptian restaurant, great service and amazing owner. My bf was very pleased with everything given that he grew up eating different types of foods. It was my first experience and thought it was great. My chicken was cooked well and flavored nicely. The only thing was there are limited seats inside however plenty of space outside the patio area. The other was my bf felt it was a little too saucy and will ask for sauce on the side next time. The owner was very friendly and informative about how he cooks all the dishes. We definitely will be coming back.
I had to be in Fullerton again, so I took some time to look on Yelp to figure out what I would have for lunch the night before. While I was scrolling through places, I saw an Egyptian place. I've never had Egyptian food before, so I really wanted to give it a try. Last night, I thought of ordering the beef brains, but I chickened out and instead ordered the hawawshi with cheese instead. It was made to order and even though it took a while to make (since it was made from scratch), the taste of it was absolutely phenomenal. I loved how the texture and crispness and flavor of the bread paired so well with the heavily seasoned beef that just had so much flavor, and the nice addition of the cheese. These flavors just paired so well together and kept me thinking about my meal all day and how satisfied I was eating it. Needless to say, I was impressed. It's kind of a weird setup inside though. Like the parking plaza here was packed, but out of the 3 restaurants in the plaza, this one was empty. It didn't make any sense whatsoever, especially with how good the food was. The dining area is just a few tables though, so it's smaller than the other restaurants in the plaza, but you would think the taste would get people to still come and eat here. Anyway, I'm happy with the meal and the service. I'm definitely coming back to try more things on the menu next time, and maybe even the beef brains haha
Food quality and taste is purely authentic. Bebo is wonderful guy with friendly attitude. If it's your first time I definitely suggest Hawashi
Honestly, this place hit different. From beginning to end. The customer service was fantastic, the self checkout is great if you prefer to have minimal interactions which makes things very efficient. Same goes for the choice of inside or outdoor dining. The Beef Shawerma Fattah was so tender and packed with deep, savory flavor that you can tell the chef really knows their craft. That Bechamel pasta came out creamy and golden with the perfect baked top. This was all done right! The Fankoush and garlic sauces brought bright, bold layers that made every bite pop, while the green salad kept things fresh and balanced. These dishes were very intentional with their seasonings. We washed it all down with the Egyptian mango and guava juice. We left completely satisfied. Real expertise in the kitchen here, definitely coming back. Worth every cent!
Tasa2go is a spot that I've bookmarked for several years now and I was finally able to try this place out (visiting from The Bay Area). This Egyptian gem did not let me down. The menu is big and the portion size is even bigger. You definitely get the best bang for your buck. Service was quick and friendly. We ordered and got our food about 7 minutes later. I believe we met the owner (looked like the guy from the logo) and he was such a friendly and personable human being. Now the food....bring an appetite because that medium bowl was enough to feed me, my wife and one of my kids lol. We ordered 2 bowls and a sandwich. Everything was packed with delicious spices and flavors. The spices are different compared to like a Halal guys and other places but that's what makes this place different. It's similar but not similar (in a good way) if that makes sense. There was not any tables inside of the spot but there was outside seating and tables. Overall, I would love to come back and try more unique dishes like the one with brains. When I'm down that way again, I will definitely be returning. Do yourself a favor and check Tasa2go out.
Tasa2Go is an Egyptian restaurant that specializes in charcoal grilled meats. All the food served here is HALAL. They have sandwiches, shawarma, rice, pasta, fries, and charcoal grill meats. I wanted to get a variety of meats to try and after talking to the owner he recommended the beef shawarma fattah. Beef Shawarma Fattah ($26 - Large / $21- Regular) - I got the large size not realizing the quantity was too much, 2 people could have eaten this. This came with a roasted bread base, rice on top, beef shawarma meat, garlic sauce and 2 sides (I went with eggplant and a salad). The beef was on the drier side and had a slight charcoal taste to it. The rice had a spicy tomato sauce mixed in. Overall, I thought the beef was just ok. I did feel it was over priced. I did try a little of my co-worker's chicken plate ($19) and while the chicken was tender, it didn't have much in the way of flavor other than some charcoal taste. Compared to other Middle Eastern places I have been to I would pass on this. They only have 2 tables inside for seating and 3 outside. It does take a while to grill meats, so be prepared to wait. They do charge $2 for a water bottle, didn't see an option for complimentary water.
Not even home yet but I can't wait to rave about this place. We ordered the kabeb wrapped in lamb fat with rice, green salad, garlic sauce, and a side of bread. Everything was seasoned to the GODS, perfectly cooked. This was my first time trying Egyptian food and the spice combinations were a revelation. The veggies were pickled and added the perfect amount of brightness to offset the fattiness of the meat. Staff was quiet but kind and attentive! Overall a great experience and we can't wait to go back.
Came here with my wife & in-laws who are Egyptian to have this amazing meal at Tasa 2 Go. Owner served us with true Egyptian hospitality & it is legit Egyptian (as verified by my wife & in laws) with a wide variety. Loved the lamb chops & the kofta with tarb, soo good. The hawowshi sandwich was delish as well. The accompaniments of pickled onions, pickles, sauces were perfect with the food. We also tried the Om Ali for dessert & it's the best I have had since visiting Cairo. We have eaten from here a few times and keep coming back because it's soo good and we will be back soon !!
Another restaurant crossed off the list! This one gets a 4/5 stars from me. Located in Fullerton, this place is SMALL. As in, there's two tables inside kind of small. There are some tables outside, but like I said, the place is not big by any means. However, the food is where it shines. They serve Egyptian food which is, in my mind, similar to Mediterranean type of food. You have beef and lamb and chicken. We got the Tasa Single which includes beef kofta, kabob wrapped in lamb fat, lamb chop, and lamb kabob. I'll say that the rice was excellent. Very flavorful and delicious. Only wished they gave more! The beef kofta was my favorite of all the meats. It was spiced well and tasted great. The lamb kabob was my least favorite. It was a tad hard and wasn't my thing. Personally, I don't think the portions are big for the price. It seemed a little pricier to me, so not as much of a value proposition. However, they do make everything fresh. The cashier was very nice and did mention it'll take around 25 minutes to prepare and he was not kidding. However, the food was tasty. Definitely worth checking out if you like this kind of food!

From the moment we stepped inside, we were welcomed like we were family. The owner himself helped us through ordering his favorite dishes. Service was fast, workers were kind, and the food was delicious. 10/10 (side note: meat is grilled with charcoal which is a huge bonus!!) read more

Not only did my lamb sandwich, not come with any vegetables, which maybe that's how it comes I am used to kebabs with at least the purple beets, lettuce and tomatoes. but both of my sandwiches had one piece of lamb that was so fatty. I could not chew it and ended up giving it to my dogs. My wife got the beef Shawarma and she said the meat had almost no flavor only the sauce gave the sandwich any flavor, but it was filling. I waited 30 minutes for two sandwiches. The owner was there did not ask me how I was doing or what I was getting or how he could help. to be fair their sauce is actually very good but everything else is absolutely mediocre. No vegetables fatty meat that's hard to chew and a long wait. But it filled me up and the sauce was good. The lamb that wasn't fatty was also very good. read more

We went to Egypt last year and that's when I first tried Koushari and that's when my life felt complete. I have been searching far and wide for a place that served Koushari...so we ventured out of Riverside- Yes my friends, we drove from Riverside just to try the Koushari and OMG we were not disappointed. My husband is Egyptian so it is Egyptian approved as well! ;) He tried the Kefta and Hawawshi and holy smokes it blew our mind it was so delicious! The meat was sooo moist and delicious. I'm drooling thinking about it and I JUST had some. We ordered the Kunafa for dessert and it's the most beautiful Kunafa I have seen in a long time. We ran into "Simone" I believe his name was and he was soooooo nice and welcomed us with a handshake and an introduction. It's so rare to find a welcoming place with a nice ambiance created by the people who work here. We are definitely coming back! read more

We were visiting Anaheim from Sacramento and last night we went to Tasa2go for some Arabic food. The gentleman named Meron was extremely polite and welcoming to all of his customers. We ordered half grilled chicken over rice and shawarma bowl. The quantity and quality both were very good. It had authentic Arabic taste which reminded me of my days in Bahrain. This actually is an Egyptian food place, pretty similar to Arabic food. The place is very tiny but they have big heart. read more

Was craving some Shawerma so we came here and got a medium Meat Shawerma Fattah bowl. The bowl came with the meat, rice, garlic sauce, and some crunchy pita and was super delicious. The portions were quite generous and I ended up not being able to finish it and had to take it to-go. The bowl also came with 2 sides. I ended up choosing the pickles and salad. The pickles were not something that I was used to eating but the salad reminded me of pico de gallo, which I liked. Overall, a great spot with a nice owner and I would definitely come back here. read more

my partner told me he brought home leftovers, but what he failed to mention was that he had gifted me one of the most incredible meals i've ever had. i was not prepared for the explosion of flavor, the perfectly balanced seasonings, the way each bite felt like it was made by a god. i'm still thinking about it, still craving it, and absolutely going back asap. my only regret is not experiencing it fresh, straight from the source....... but trust me, that's about to be fixed real soon. sorry for the pic, i started devouring my food then realized i had to write a review. read more

This was my first time having Egyptian food and it made a great first impression. I ordered the hawawshi and the meat with the garlic and tasa spicy sauce was the perfect combination. All of the other food and desserts were delicious as well. The owner was very attentive and checked on us throughout the night. He gave us free dessert to celebrate a birthday and a tic tac toe bet. I will definitely be coming back! Great service! Great food! Highly recommend! read more

I'm gonna say as some who is born and raised in Egypt, this is as authentic as it gets. The flavors, the prep and the quality is as if you are eating at a very very good restaurant back home. The owner is also always there and he will serve the food to you himself so rest assured you will get the service from someone who cares about their food. read more

If you're in Anaheim or in Fullerton, this is a to go spot for some of the best Egyptian food. We got their Hawawshi which is a toasted pita bread with meat inside and we also got their beef shawarma which is authentic Egyptian style. All the food was hot and freshly prepared. The wider menu has a lot of Egyptian favorites, including a kofta, quail and several grill items. Everything is prepared fresh to order. Lastly for dessert we got their rice pudding with Nutella which was out of this world. They also have authentic drinks imported from Egypt, they are the only place that has the Schweppes Lemon Mint, I haven't seen this being sold anywhere else. This spot is open till 1am and all their food is halal if that's one of your criteria. There is minimal seating inside but lots outside and the service is on point. read more

We randomly came across Tasa2Go for spots open late in Anaheim - and so glad we did! First thing: the branding. It's really well done and the vibes are served with Egyptian music and warm, welcoming folks. We ordered the meat shawarma, basmati rice, pasta with red sauce and the hawawshi with meat. With rice pudding for dessert. The shawarma was marinated with precision and is probably the closest meat shawarma to what you would find in the Middle East. Our taste buds were in heaven. Next up: the hawawshi. Served super hot, and soft and crispy at the same time. The rice pudding is delicious, don't leave without it! As an added bonus we got to meet the owner Raymoon (sorry if I'm misspelling your name!). The owner specifically mentioned how he takes great care in selecting the highest quality halal meats, and purveys the meat himself. He takes pride and care in spending time with his suppliers. Everything was absolutely delicious. If you're looking to try Egyptian food for the first time, you can't go wrong with Tasa. I can't wait to visit again. PS Please open in Bay Area! read more
