A friend recommended this place, and it did not disappoint, in fact, it exceeded all of our expectations! From the moment we walked in, we were treated like friends who had come to visit. The staff was incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home. My family and I love Mediterranean food, but we had never tried Egyptian food before. Let me tell you, we will definitely be regular customers from now on! The food was amazing. I had the beef shawarma bowl, and the portion was huge. I actually love that because it means I have delicious leftovers for today too. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. We also tried two different desserts, and both were outstanding: creamy, delicious, and not overly sweet. You can tell they're made with quality ingredients and balanced flavors. Excellent food, generous portions, warm hospitality, and an overall wonderful experience. Highly recommend!

Tasa2Go has great tasting entrees and dessert. Food was delicious! Sadly, the seating area is quite small and its very hot inside, so the ambiance was not great. You can choose to sit outside but it's not very comfortable and doesn't look very clean. However, regardless of the not so great seating arrangements the food was so good and I would still go back. Decent customer service.

The best Egyptian food ever! I drive 40 mins just to come here for the deliciousness. Service is amazing, they're very nice and professional. Highly recommend. Dont forget to order sakalans ;)

Wow, one of the best meals I've had in Fullerton. This was my first time trying Egyptian food and I loved it. I ordered the kabab wrapped in lamb fat sandwich and i audibly let out a "wow". It was juicy, perfect ratio of meat to fat, and the sauce and onions added a little bit of brightness. I paired this with the mango juice. I was in heaven. It was so delicious, I brought my friends with me the next time. I can't wait to come back and try more on their menu. There's a few tables inside and outside, but I can see this place potentially becoming very busy. Service was great, the cashier was helpful and friendly. Overall, I highly recommend trying Tasa2Go.

Great Egyptian restaurant, great service and amazing owner. My bf was very pleased with everything given that he grew up eating different types of foods. It was my first experience and thought it was great. My chicken was cooked well and flavored nicely. The only thing was there are limited seats inside however plenty of space outside the patio area. The other was my bf felt it was a little too saucy and will ask for sauce on the side next time. The owner was very friendly and informative about how he cooks all the dishes. We definitely will be coming back.

I had to be in Fullerton again, so I took some time to look on Yelp to figure out what I would have for lunch the night before. While I was scrolling through places, I saw an Egyptian place. I've never had Egyptian food before, so I really wanted to give it a try. Last night, I thought of ordering the beef brains, but I chickened out and instead ordered the hawawshi with cheese instead. It was made to order and even though it took a while to make (since it was made from scratch), the taste of it was absolutely phenomenal. I loved how the texture and crispness and flavor of the bread paired so well with the heavily seasoned beef that just had so much flavor, and the nice addition of the cheese. These flavors just paired so well together and kept me thinking about my meal all day and how satisfied I was eating it. Needless to say, I was impressed. It's kind of a weird setup inside though. Like the parking plaza here was packed, but out of the 3 restaurants in the plaza, this one was empty. It didn't make any sense whatsoever, especially with how good the food was. The dining area is just a few tables though, so it's smaller than the other restaurants in the plaza, but you would think the taste would get people to still come and eat here. Anyway, I'm happy with the meal and the service. I'm definitely coming back to try more things on the menu next time, and maybe even the beef brains haha

Beef Shawerma Fattah Bechamel pasta Fankoush sauce Green salad Garlic sauce Egyptian mango juice Egyptian guava juice

Honestly, this place hit different. From beginning to end. The customer service was fantastic, the self checkout is great if you prefer to have minimal interactions which makes things very efficient. Same goes for the choice of inside or outdoor dining. The Beef Shawerma Fattah was so tender and packed with deep, savory flavor that you can tell the chef really knows their craft. That Bechamel pasta came out creamy and golden with the perfect baked top. This was all done right! The Fankoush and garlic sauces brought bright, bold layers that made every bite pop, while the green salad kept things fresh and balanced. These dishes were very intentional with their seasonings. We washed it all down with the Egyptian mango and guava juice. We left completely satisfied. Real expertise in the kitchen here, definitely coming back. Worth every cent!

Tasa2go is a spot that I've bookmarked for several years now and I was finally able to try this place out (visiting from The Bay Area). This Egyptian gem did not let me down. The menu is big and the portion size is even bigger. You definitely get the best bang for your buck. Service was quick and friendly. We ordered and got our food about 7 minutes later. I believe we met the owner (looked like the guy from the logo) and he was such a friendly and personable human being. Now the food....bring an appetite because that medium bowl was enough to feed me, my wife and one of my kids lol. We ordered 2 bowls and a sandwich. Everything was packed with delicious spices and flavors. The spices are different compared to like a Halal guys and other places but that's what makes this place different. It's similar but not similar (in a good way) if that makes sense. There was not any tables inside of the spot but there was outside seating and tables. Overall, I would love to come back and try more unique dishes like the one with brains. When I'm down that way again, I will definitely be returning. Do yourself a favor and check Tasa2go out.

Tasa2Go is an Egyptian restaurant that specializes in charcoal grilled meats. All the food served here is HALAL. They have sandwiches, shawarma, rice, pasta, fries, and charcoal grill meats. I wanted to get a variety of meats to try and after talking to the owner he recommended the beef shawarma fattah. Beef Shawarma Fattah ($26 - Large / $21- Regular) - I got the large size not realizing the quantity was too much, 2 people could have eaten this. This came with a roasted bread base, rice on top, beef shawarma meat, garlic sauce and 2 sides (I went with eggplant and a salad). The beef was on the drier side and had a slight charcoal taste to it. The rice had a spicy tomato sauce mixed in. Overall, I thought the beef was just ok. I did feel it was over priced. I did try a little of my co-worker's chicken plate ($19) and while the chicken was tender, it didn't have much in the way of flavor other than some charcoal taste. Compared to other Middle Eastern places I have been to I would pass on this. They only have 2 tables inside for seating and 3 outside. It does take a while to grill meats, so be prepared to wait. They do charge $2 for a water bottle, didn't see an option for complimentary water.

Not even home yet but I can't wait to rave about this place. We ordered the kabeb wrapped in lamb fat with rice, green salad, garlic sauce, and a side of bread. Everything was seasoned to the GODS, perfectly cooked. This was my first time trying Egyptian food and the spice combinations were a revelation. The veggies were pickled and added the perfect amount of brightness to offset the fattiness of the meat. Staff was quiet but kind and attentive! Overall a great experience and we can't wait to go back.

Family meal with 4 of each Grilled lamb chops/Beef Kofta/Lamb Kabab/Kofta with Kabab Wrapped In Lamb Tarb & 2 Hawawshi sandwiches

Basem T.

Came here with my wife & in-laws who are Egyptian to have this amazing meal at Tasa 2 Go. Owner served us with true Egyptian hospitality & it is legit Egyptian (as verified by my wife & in laws) with a wide variety. Loved the lamb chops & the kofta with tarb, soo good. The hawowshi sandwich was delish as well. The accompaniments of pickled onions, pickles, sauces were perfect with the food. We also tried the Om Ali for dessert & it's the best I have had since visiting Cairo. We have eaten from here a few times and keep coming back because it's soo good and we will be back soon !!

Another restaurant crossed off the list! This one gets a 4/5 stars from me. Located in Fullerton, this place is SMALL. As in, there's two tables inside kind of small. There are some tables outside, but like I said, the place is not big by any means. However, the food is where it shines. They serve Egyptian food which is, in my mind, similar to Mediterranean type of food. You have beef and lamb and chicken. We got the Tasa Single which includes beef kofta, kabob wrapped in lamb fat, lamb chop, and lamb kabob. I'll say that the rice was excellent. Very flavorful and delicious. Only wished they gave more! The beef kofta was my favorite of all the meats. It was spiced well and tasted great. The lamb kabob was my least favorite. It was a tad hard and wasn't my thing. Personally, I don't think the portions are big for the price. It seemed a little pricier to me, so not as much of a value proposition. However, they do make everything fresh. The cashier was very nice and did mention it'll take around 25 minutes to prepare and he was not kidding. However, the food was tasty. Definitely worth checking out if you like this kind of food!

The kitchen staff really know how to season the food really well. You can tell that they take pride in preparing the food with love and care. The staff is also extremely friendly and knowledgeable. They made sure to explain the dishes and give really good recommendations. I ordered the Egyptian tea which is a nice fragrant black tea. It paired perfectly with the 2 desserts we ordered. My table had the shawarma fries and the beef liver with ghee and beef sausage with ghee. We also had the pineapple malt drinks. I highly highly recommend this place. To top it off they played very lovely and relaxing Egyptian music. I had to look up several songs on Shazam. You will spend your money well at this restaurant:) read more

If you're looking for a truly authentic taste of Egypt without booking a flight to Cairo, look no further than Tasa2Go. This hidden gem delivers a rich and flavorful experience that transports you straight to the heart of Egyptian culture--one plate at a time. We started with the hawawshi sandwich , which was a perfect introduction. Then, diving into Beef liver & beef sausage with natural butter platter Every dip and bite tasted homemade and full of soul.. No meal would be complete without dessert, and the om ali did not disappoint. This warm Egyptian bread pudding, studded with nuts and drenched in sweet, creamy milk, was the perfect end to our meal. However, we couldn't resist to order rice pudding with bashosa OMG!! How delicious is that! The service was as impressive as the food. The staff person Remon was knowledgeable, welcoming, and friendly. Tasa2Go is more than just a restaurant--it's a cultural experience. Whether you're familiar with Egyptian food or trying it for the first time, this place is a must-visit. Authentic, flavorful, and made with heart--every dish tells a story. read more

Absolutely great place. The customer service alone deserves 5 stars. But then everything else is made with such quality. The rice was perfectly fluffy. The liver was delicious (first time having liver, and I loved it). I was having trouble ordering my food and drink (first time at Egyptian food) but they took time to help me order what was right for me. She had advised me to change my order as it would be too much food for me. And she was totally right. What a nice staff. Definitely will be back when I'm in the area. Shawarma fatteh was great! Its not the Lebanese style fatteh with the toasted pine nuts, chickpeas and hot butter but man it was good! The toasted bread they use in it is so good! I dont know how the bread stays crispy under all the tasty garlicky yogurt sauce! I recommend getting the large size fatteh :) We also had the beef wrapped in lamb caul fat and they were juicy and tender and we loved them. We ordered delivery and our food arrived in less time than we expected and everything was piping hot and ready to just open, plate, and eat! Perfect! Not sure if this type of food is just expensive in general, but the value is just not there. The meat tasted good, but for $56, there should have been more of it. I recently had the pleasure of ordering from this amazing Egyptian restaurant, and I can confidently say it's one of the best Mediterranean food experiences I've had in a long time! The dishes are not only delicious and full of authentic flavor, but they're also healthy, with a variety of fresh, wholesome options that satisfy both your taste buds and your conscience. Everything came in well-packaged containers, perfect for takeout -- neat, secure, and still warm when it arrived. You can tell a lot of care goes into both the food and the presentation. The grilled meats were tender and juicy, the falafel was crisp without being oily, and the salads were vibrant and refreshing. Each bite truly brought back the rich, home-style flavors of Egyptian cuisine. And the desserts? Absolutely top-notch. From creamy rice pudding to flaky baklava, they are the perfect sweet ending to a hearty meal. Customer service was amazing, get to be assisted by Romany and Remon read more

Absolute top-notch place. Excellent Mediterranean & Egyptian cuisine. ===================== This place is the *REAL* deal. Enjoy real downhome (family style) Egyptian food; if you want something more cosmpolitan & Mediterranean, they have that as well. Have been here many time and never been disappointed. Each visit is even better than the last one. On some days I/we dine at this restaurant a couple of times. Food here is *literally* BURSTING w/ flavor. I can *still* taste the meal that I ate yesterday. I feel like I have died and went to heaven! Immense & delicate attention to detail is paid to all aspects of the menu. Everything is put together in storybook fashion. Wonderful dining in every sense of the word. Besides excellent food, staff & ownership are courteous, friendly, fun, and kind people. I can go on and on and on, but what's the point? Come on down and have a ball. It simply does not get any better than this place. 10 stars out of 10 stars!!! ==================== p.s. I live in San Francisco but every time I'm in Southern California, I make it a point to stop by Tasa2Go. Today was my second visit and it was even better than the first. The food is incredibly flavorful and truly feels like a taste of Egypt. I had their hawawshi and some grilled chicken--both were packed with authentic spices and grilled to perfection. I also ordered a refreshing mango juice made with Egyptian mangoes that instantly transported me back home. Before leaving, I placed a large order to take back to SF and they packed everything beautifully. I was able to bring back so many delicious dishes--sausage (sogoq), liver (kibda), mixed grill, koshari, and more. Everything traveled well and tasted just as amazing when reheated. If you're looking for real Egyptian food made with care and heart, Tasa2Go is the place. It's more than just a meal--it's like stepping into Egypt for a little while. Highly recommend! read more

Real, Authentic Egyptian Street Food at its Best! If you are looking for true, authentic Egyptian flavor (Masry style) in Orange County, Tasa2Go is an absolute gem. My wife and I wanted to try a bit of everything, so we ordered the Tasa Mix, and it blew us away. The ultimate highlight was definitely the Tarb (kabab wrapped in lamb fat). This is an absolute delicacy and a rare special that you truly cannot find anywhere else around here! It is incredibly hard to prepare correctly in the US, but theirs was perfect--juicy, smoky, and rich. The lamb chops and lamb kabab were beautifully tender, and the beef kofta was seasoned exactly right. The platter came with perfectly fluffy basmati rice and a crisp, fresh green salad that cut through the richness of the meats beautifully. We also added the Alexandrian Beef Liver sandwich and the Beef Saweros sandwich. The liver had that signature authentic spice profile and a great snap. It is clear they use high-quality halal proteins and traditional yeast baking techniques for their bread. Ordering was straightforward, the hospitality was genuinely warm, and our food arrived hot and fresh in a reasonable amount of time. For the quality and massive amount of food you get, the price is incredibly fair. If you want a genuine taste of Egypt, skip the generic spots and come straight here. Finally, thank you, Bebo, for the amazing food and hospitality! We will definitely be back! I recently had the pleasure of dining at Tasa 2 Go Mediterranean restaurant and I must say, the food was absolutely amazing! Tasa2Go is an absolute gem in the heart of Los Angeles, offering a truly exceptional Middle Eastern dining experience. From the moment you walk in, the warm, inviting atmosphere sets the tone--with cozy decor, the scent of spices in the air, and friendly staff who make you feel right at home. The food is where Tasa2Go really shines. Their hummus is incredibly smooth and flavorful, served with freshly baked pita that's perfect for dipping. The grilled meats, especially the lamb kebabs and chicken kofta, are juicy, well-seasoned, and paired with fragrant saffron rice and roasted vegetables. Vegetarian options like the crispy falafel and roasted cauliflower are just as satisfying, and the mezze plates are perfect for sharing. Every dish feels thoughtfully prepared with high-quality ingredients and balanced flavors. Don't skip the desserts--the baklava is flaky and not overly sweet, and the mint lemonade and spiced teas are refreshing complements to the meal. The service is attentive and knowledgeable, with staff happy to offer recommendations. I recently visited Tasa2Go with a friend, and our experience was nothing short of fantastic. We indulged in the Meat Shawarma Fattah and a Shawarma sandwich, and the flavors were absolutely delightful. The portions were incredibly generous, leaving us fully satisfied. What truly set Tasa2Go apart was the impeccable service. Ramon, the owner, was not only attentive but also incredibly sweet, adding a personal touch to our dining experience. The warm atmosphere and genuine hospitality made our visit memorable. I will definitely be back read more

This was my first time trying Egyptian food, and it was a wonderful experience. The flavors were rich and delicious, giving me a great introduction to the cuisine. The service was excellent-special thanks to Bebo, who was extremely helpful and friendly throughout my visit. His attentiveness made the meal even more enjoyable. The only downside was that the seating area felt a bit small, but it didn't take away from the overall experience. I'll definitely be coming back the next time I'm in the area! read more

All the recommended items were very delicious and will definitely be adding Hatam to our favorite local spots! The meat is seasoned/marinated to perfection and was all very juicy and tender. We loved everything we ordered- make sure you request the housemade green spicy sauce if you love spice! It has a nice little kick with a delicious flavor. Their pricing is very fair, considering the large portions we received. There was plenty of leftovers!

The food itself still great most everything was perfect. But I gotta see the customer service was not good, I was being rushed every minute the server was coming to the table, asking if I was ready to order, I mentioned to her that I was new to this cuisine and I wanted to try something new, when I ask questions she just told me to read the menu, no once they come to check if everything was OK. We order an appetizer on the menu. It says $13. She said the price was a little bit different but when the bill came, it was $33 for the appetizer and that's insane. But I was having a lunch celebration for my birthday and we didn't wanna kill the vibe so we just paid for it but we're not happy at all. So honestly, even though the food is still great, I probably will never go back there. My first experience was a five star and today it was a two star just because the food still great otherwise would be a zero star. I'm very disappointed.

I arrived at the…read morerestaurant at around 6:30 PM and was able to get seated right away; not a lot of parties at the time so we took our time figuring out what to eat. Their menu has a lot of photos, which helped picture what we would get. Sarma Beyti: This is largely the reason why we came to the restaurant. My girlfriend tried this dish at another restaurant years ago and wanted to try it again; while it was my first time having it. I was truly blown away with the combination of spices, tomato, and ground beef all packed together. This also came with a salad which was seasoned but leaned to a more sour taste profile. Kebab Plate: Kebab came with hummus and for the side, I decided to get some french fries. Another great dish to alternate between with the Sarma Beyti. Noteworthy to mention that Pita Bread was included, but I couldn't remember from which dish. It was great to pair with everything else! Kunafa: This was our dessert pick to wrap up the night. The server mentioned it would take about 15 minutes to make and we were good with it. Once it came out, I was impressed with how it looked. It was cheesy and not too sweet. They also gave extra syrup on the side as well. Overall, it was a very positive dining experience throughout. As the night grew, there were more parties that showed up, which added some strain to the staff. It was apparent as the server kept apologizing for their slower service, but I had completely understood. With the level of freshness from the food, you could tell everything was crafted with attention. American Express is accepted here.

Ordered the fattoush salad, which complemented the chicken nicely, and they also provided a heaping plate of pickles and olives that I snacked on throughout dinner. So make your reservation 30min - 1hr before you would normally want to eat. That said. Here's what we ordered the last few times we went, ranked from good to amazing. Classic Chicken Curry: First bites had us really surprised on how fresh it was made. Like this was amazing. Lighter curry with amazing flavor. Just damn good. 4.5 stars for this and we've only started. Khan Biryani: The spice level was absolutely perfect, lifting up every flavor in this dish. Amazingly balanced, just. Probably the best Chicken Biryani I've had in my life, and I've had A LOT of Pakastani and Indian food in my life. Pani Puri: Such a simple unassuming dish, then you put the citrus tamarind water on top of everything. OML this was a flavor bomb that I've ordered a couple times. The only reason I won't order it next time is I really want to explore this menu. Tandoori Naan: We've ordered this a few ways, and to our delight they will make the garlic chili variety. It comes out smelling like the wood fire they use for the Tandoori. Just beautiful. One order is enough for 2 people. As for the best thing on this menu, and it pains me when I don't order it. Palak Paneer. The last time I ordered this I took a look up on the wall and what I saw didn't surprise me. This place got a Michelin award. Not quite a star, but if anything drove that award it had to be this dish. They use fresh spinach, and it ABSOLUTELY shows. It's so freaking good. I can't imagine eating here and not getting this. Sadly, we must explore more of this menu. We will be back, sometimes with friends. Love this place so much.

Since coming back home, I've been craving Indian food every now and then, so I searched for a place near my house and found this restaurant. The reviews were good, it was close by, and the place itself was clean, nice, and a little fancy. The food didn't taste exactly like Dishoom, but even my husband, who is very picky about food, said it was good and really enjoyed it. The prices were also very reasonable -- the set menu was only around $23. One thing to know: it's spicy! We ordered just "spicy," not "extra spicy," and it was still pretty hot. I think Korean people who enjoy spicy food would probably love it. The chicken tikka masala was a little sweet, but it tasted more like the natural sweetness from onions than straight sugar. It wasn't a "wow, this is absolutely amazing" kind of flavor, but it was definitely good and enjoyable. Overall, I think this is a great place to come when you're in the mood for something different. The staff were all Indian, and the whole experience felt comfortable and authentic. I'd definitely come back again!

Now I will be craving the delicious Aleppo hot sauce knowing I have to brave a nightmare parking lot. It's a teeny tiny parking lot with odd angles and bottlenecks with a surprising amount of restaurants sharing it. Makes zero sense. After circling three times I dropped my wife off and parked across the street risking getting towed. There's a ton of construction so hopefully more parking is on the way. That said, food is outstanding. Service was also perfection. Cuisine here is from Syria so there a lot of interesting dishes I haven't seen before. We started with deep fried spring rolls stuffed with akkawi cheese imported from Syria. Expensive but order it. I ordered the "khashkhash" kabob plate which was 4 grilled kefta kabobs served on a surprisingly spicy sauce of tomatoes and Aleppo peppers. It was served with a mound of buttery rice sprinkled with Aleppo peppers and a cabbage salad. Honestly the best kabops I've ever had. Absolutely loved the flavors. I devoured the whole plate while eyeing the parking lot across the street for tow trucks. Portion could easily be shared. My wife went with the Gyro flatbread. I scoffed saying "this isn't a Greek restaurant" but the joke was on me because I was envious. House made flat bread topped with gyro, tzatziki, pickled onions, tomatoes, feta, sumac, and Aleppo peppers. I took a few bites and retracted my previous scoff. They had a large list of mocktails. I had the Vimto Mojito and my wife had the margarita. Both creative and flavorful. Lastly I tried the "Ashta" for dessert. It's an Aleppo signature per the menu and is a pudding like dessert of clotted cream, pistachio, strawberries, and honey. It's simple yet satisfying. Took me a few bites to acquire the flavor but I loved it more with each bite. My wife didn't care for it. They moved by Angel Stadium from their Brookhurst spot. Great place except the parking. Reservations are odd too. $25 penalty PER PERSON if you miss your reservation. It was definitely motivation to find parking.

I got a seat with a bit of sunlight coming in from the window and that felt like the perfect touch. Avery is so kind. She immediately mentioned the Soup of the Day and the blend for the herb water and I knew I had to get both! They rotate both out every single day depending on what they have on hand, which is a great indicator that they source their ingredients fresh. The soup was puréed eggplant with a coconut milk or cream base and it was the creamiest eggplant dish I'd ever had in my life. Very smooth, no seeds. I didn't even know eggplant could get to that consistency. It's a beautiful soup and I would come back just for that. Arabic tea was not as strong as I'd had in other restaurants but for a nice dining place like this, I think it's good that it wasn't so bitter. Maybe it's also because I dunked a whole packet of honey in mine beforehand Beef stew was great. There were only a few beef chunks but if you're a fan of the vegetable you're choosing (I love zucchini so that worked out well for me), then it's a perfect portion for one. I can't believe I've just been passing this gem behind for so long! Will definitely come back with some company next time around.
