I am LOVING my Target App!! Online ordering is so wonderful.
They have a large selection of items, that can be "Ship to You"! (Some items excluded. Including Perishables).
Even better, w/ my Target Red Card, I not only get 5% off my purchase, but also
FREEEEE Shippiiiiiiing!! I always say...
"If it's free, It's for meeee!"
Also wonderful is Target Circle Deals, (formerly know as "Cartwheel" prior to the new integrated app that does SO. MUCH. MORE!) It let's you browse for deals offered either by category, or "For You", which is based on your purchase history. Click the + to "Save It" to your app. It applies the discount on check out at the register for any deal item you buy that you have saved until the deal expires.
Besides using your app to order and ship to you, or use at the register for your Circle deals, , you can also use it to pay for your purchases.
If you have & use a Target Red Card, (Store Card) you also get a 5% Discount.
You can also choose to order Pick Up at the customer service desk, or order & use "Drive Up" pick up, which will save you:
1. Time you'd have spent shopping... & EEEEEEEK...
2. Money from IMPULSE BUYING! *Guilty!
I have found many things on my Target app that I couldn't find during my errands to grocery & drug stores. Also usually at a great price comparatively!
Unless I need items like produce, or milk, I mostly choose the "Ship It" to me choice. (Like I mentioned, free shipping!) Also more time for me, & save money on gas! Look at me being all thrifty over here! LOL
Today, because:
1. My Furry ran out of pâté
2. She needs choices & variety
3. She's kinda spoiled...
4. But deserving, especially in light of all the VCA Pet Hospital "Check In"(s) I've been doing these past 2 month.
5. Fancy Feast is sadly one of those items that cannot be shipped.
6. And also, as I eluded to above... re: Impulse Spending/Buying, I chose drive up delivery.
In the App, I tapped "I'm on my way". Takes you to the next screen showing a button to press that says "I'm here", but when I parked in the marked stall in the Pick up area located right after the parking structure (if you car is facing Ewa), I noticed it already knew I was here!! It advised me to wait in my car, that someone will be out with my goods shortly, and to have the bar code (which was now on the bottom of my screen) handy.
Massive kudos, mucho mahalos to Lizzy who brought out my order. She went above & beyond! She greeted me cheerfully w/ a sincere apology for the wait, as she wanted to make sure my order was absolutely correct & not missing anything, so she individually checked each of the 60 cans, & made sure I had 10 each of each flavor I ordered!
I found this to be very awesome & I VERY MUCH appreciated it, because:
1.I hadn't been waiting all that long.
2. I have on prior occasions when I did in-store pick up, received wrong items or flavors. (Tea)
3. The 1st time I did drive up, I was missing 2 cans of my fur baby's favorite flavor.
4. I was prepared to check each item, but because she cares, has excellent customer service skills, & also made sure to tell me what she did, I felt confident I had everything I should!
5. This last bit is a matter of honesty, integrity, & respect for her employers that showed me she is a special person.
I appreciate great service. I am a tipper. I know SOME places don't allow their employees to accept tips. Wasn't positive about Target. I had read on Redit that there is no set policy, but they are told to decline, but if the customer insists, then it's ok to accept.
Tried to slide her a "Fiver". She held up her hands apologetically and said "Oh no no no no! Thank you so much but, we are not allowed to accept tips!"
I thought maybe her response was a formality, as mentioned above, so told her I wanted her to have it, and she declined replying:
"No really, I love my job too much to put it at risk. It's policy, & I could get in trouble. We are not allowed to accept money, or anything with a monetary value. I inquired about it, so she said anything that equates to a cash value such as coupons (gift cards...) that can be spent."
This is the same rule Federal US Postal Workers have!! They can however accept non cash value gifts though, such as food, treats, etc... which is why I usually make our Mailman (now mail-person ) cookies for Christmas.
When I asked, Lizzy confirmed it's the same for them. Snacks, food items or little gifts that can't be used to purchase stuff is ok!
