I really like this Target. It's right in the mall, so if you need to do anymore shopping you're right next to everything. There's some really good restaurants closeby too. On occasion, they have food trucks outside of Daiso & they have the farmer's market once a week in the mornings. As for the Target itself, it's pretty big. They have everything I'm looking for & more! They have a well-stocked & neatly organized produce & grocery section. Also, if you enroll in Cartwheel, you can save more money in addition to the money you save if you have a RedCard. I was able to save about 80 cents just using the coupons on my app. They also deduct 5 cents if you use your own bag. I was able to go in and out. Parking was really easy. Even, the lines at the cash register weren't even long. I will definitely be back at this Target when I need to go on a quick shopping trip. read more

feeling .... annoyed, irritated, angry so I called around to different stores checking for items in stock to avoid making trips to get turned away. Lastly I ended up with this store because a female associate promises me that "we still have lots of them" hours ago! Before I head out to the store I called back and spoke to the same person and she reassure me not to worry because there is still a lot left. When I arrived at the store, there was NONE!! not only that but the electronic section was empty, no-one was there. I had to go around the store looking for one to assist in getting the items that I want and was told that it is available. Their order drive-up service is very prompt and efficient compared to Target Colma. I've picked up several times from this location and have never had to wait. Employees that process the drive-up orders are super friendly. Inventory is also better than Target Colma. read more

This is a review for the store manager, Kristoffero? Christopher? (Something similar.) Either way, he is amazing! I first had a horrible customer service experience with one of their team leads, Ed. I've always loved the store, I work in the same complex and sometimes will just wander around the store before I go to work on many days. I've never had a bad incident before, and generally all of the employees are just wonderful here! This was the first time I've ever felt the need to leave the store without purchasing anything, and in a bit of a work up! Ed had horrible customer service relations and was absolutely rude over something that should've been considered rather minimal. After leaving the store I decided to call in from my car in the parking lot before I forgot Ed's name. (Lol) I ended up speaking with the manager (Christopher-something, so sorry I'm bad with names!) and he was absolutely wonderful!! He apologized for the bad experience, said that he valued me as a customer; he welcomed me to come back into the store and let him fix the problem. Both he, and the lady working behind the desk at the Guest service location were absolutely wonderful! Working in retail myself; I intimately understand the workings of customer service. I was just astounded by both of my experiences. First; by how rude Ed was, but then by how amazing the following manager was! It can take a lot to turn a situation like that around sometimes, and when I finally left the store I was in bright spirit and absolutely willing to come back! I super appreciate his calm demeanor, pleasant attitude and legitimate concern about the situation! I will definitely be continuing to do my shopping at this location, and I highly recommend, if you have any problems, contacting the store manager discussed above! Five stars for a great turn around! With self-checkout and stores that don't even require you to go to a cashier anymore, one of the few differences is the personal touch you get when you shop with someone. I usually like Tar-Jay but today our relationship has gone to the next level. . .LOVE. Why? It's two days before the Christmas holiday. Today could have been the worst day to shop for last minute items but, it turned out ok. Before I left the city to drive to Colma, I said a mantra three times. . . "May the highway be free of road rage, may the aisles be clear of crazy basket pushing angry people, may the check out line be short." Not only was the highway free of traffic, the aisles were wide enough for all the last minute shoppers with baskets, the check out line had only one person ahead. This Target is tops. There were attentive employees everywhere which was wonderful. Basically this one nice employee helped me shop finding me gift boxes, Chaka Khan's Greatest Hits, and Care Bear and Hello Kitty watches. This person was the bomb. It's like I had a personal shopper and helper. I was of course friendly (because that's my way) but, no doubt this person had to help a lot of stressed out folks today yet she was still very nice and helpful with me. There isn't a Target store I don't like. As someone who tries to stick to supporting local, I just can't tear myself away from Target. It's a great one-stop-shop spot for work supplies, cheap clothes/accessories, cheap (but cute!) shoes, and of course they have all those random items I need once every few months. Toilet paper, paper towels, cat litter, lightbulbs, etc. I popped into this Target to kill some time before taking a flight home to SFO. It felt larger than a couple of the Targets in the Seattle area and seemed to have a great selection of kids Halloween costumes on display already. Ahhh, the Bargain Bulls-eye! Since moving here a few months ago, I've been planning and plotting my eventual trip to Target. Simply because, well, who doesn't love a good Target run and since there aren't really any in the central SF city and driving is kind of a thing of the past lately, it takes some planning to get out here. And so yesterday with empty SUV ready to go, my girl Audrey and I made the exciting journey out here. As we pulled in, there it was...BevMo. Oh sorry, BevMo makes me lose sight of priorities and missions all that time...anyhoo, there it was, Target Greatland. As if a Target in and of itself wasn't good enough! Yay! We then grabbed a basket and began our support of the economy one area rug, bath rug, window valance, espresso bamboo window blind, clock, Clorox Clean Wipes, shower rack, curtain rod, mattress pad, iron, ironing board, toilet seat cover and bamboo rug at a time! Yeah, we scored. But the one thing that drops this Target down in points and stars is the inventory. They are severely under stocked in almost everything. So much so, that I had to come home and order a third bamboo blind online since they didn't have it in stock and I can't very well have one window in a series of three missing a shade. I mean, c'mon, what kind of home decor junkie do you think I am ;) All in all, it seems that there are better Targets around, but for a first Bay Area Target it wasn't too bad. Target scares me. I vowed for years (and I mean YEARS) that I would never patronize nor go into a store such as Target. I'm just a sucker for smaller places, and I like to give my money to someone who gives a shit. What happens when someone sends you a gift for Christmas to you address from far far away and it's from Target? Well, you end up needed to go into that vortex of oddness. That closet and supermarket and covenience store all blended into one, and just make a return. So we did that. We drove all the way to Daly City (because SF is smart and won't allow Target to open inside it's city limits) and stood in the customer service line. We waited for ten minutes, as countless others, having received shit for xmas as well, make their returns. The guy in front of me though had nothing in his hands but milk to return. Who the FUCK buys milk, or any other item you would consume from Target? What is this world coming to? It's gotta be the most gmo'd nasty ass shit ever. But then again I was never a big fan of milk. After waiting in line, and speaking with the service man, he then sent us to the computer to make the return. There were no prices on the receipts (gift receipt) and no prices on the items. He couldn't find the barcode match in their infinitly large system, and we were sent on a mission. Yes, it was up to us to find the prices on our own stuff to return. Thank god we're honest people, and that Cody has a weird barcode scanner on his hacked iphone which found it somewhere in that invisible wireless system out there. We began to peruse the store. Candy bars, video games, books, dvds and childrens toys. But this store looked different than the other Targets that I had been to (reluctantly for the most part). This one was barren, disorganized, and had children running around everywhere. Their shoe sections, which usually have some marginally cute flats and some bling covered flipflops looked like an empty stadium section at the ball game. There was one or two things left, shoved in a precarious position. Target looked like a war zone, a post apolcalyptic cheap food/bad clothing (for the most part) war zone. I was waiting for the zombies to come out, and I was going to need to run into the scrapbooking section and load my guns strapped to my back and thighs. I don't necessarily think it's positive when you walk into a place, and that is the scenario that comes to mind.......but my mind does wander inappropriately here and there. They did have a really nice cashier, who helped us check out after we found floss, a pyrex glass container on sale for four bucks, and some gorilla glue. We needed those things much more than a "find great wine under 25 bucks" book and some cheap red wine glasses which were the two items of our xmas gift. I will make sure that I don't run back to that Target, unless of course it is post apocalyptic, and then be careful. If you're in there with me, make sure you hide well cause if you have the water bottles that I need, I'm an excellent shot. read more

This branch of TARGET should only be visited IF you are already shopping at Serramonte Mall and you either: 1. Dont' have a car to drive to the TARGET down the hill or in Tanforan 2. You just enjoy being in a store with 100,000 people who don't have the basic eye/hand coordination to manuever a shopping cart down aisles without ramming into people and/or people just leave their carts/with kids in them, in the center of 1 aisle while the person is off comparison pricing Kleenex 3 aisles over. This location is plenty big enough, but really poorly laid out, ALWAYS crowded because its attached to a mall...but the people that work there seem to never know where ANYTHING is, the checkout lines are 10 miles long! Frankly, many times after shopping at Serramonte Mall, I still find it much better to go to my car, and drive 1/8th of a mile down Serramonte Blvd to the Target on Junipero Serra Blvd! Visits to Target can be tricky. Sometimes you go with a pretty long list of items you need. Usually toiletries and household products that you imagine are less expensive at Target, but has anyone ever really compared prices? I ask this because inevitably I stray from the list of items I need with a handful of items I just want. Am I using my assumption that you save money by shopping at Target as an excuse to go to Target to buy items I want but don't need? Do I sleep better at night because my frivolous spending has been justified by the notion of a possible cost savings on my purchase of toilet bowl cleaner? Miss P and I spent about 3 hours at Target yesterday. $100+ later I left with toilet bowl cleaner. And a long list of items I don't need but I wanted! I have no problem admitting that I do occasionally shop here, usually to buy kitchen or bathroom items. The organic milk is pretty good. This location is smaller than the nearby Colma branch, so some departments like the grocery section have less variety. Recently they added a few refrigerators near the entrance with frozen dinners and dairy products. This is the Target store that has a pharmacy. I adore Target. I will always go to one, and refuse to step into a Walmart. But this Target isn't anywhere close to as nice as the ones I'm used to. Its a bit on the dirty side. Not Walmart dirty, but its not bright and shiny like I'm used to. There are always a ton of people shopping there so some items on the shelfs are always out of stock that can be a pain. Checkout lines get a bit long, they need to work on getting extra cashiers where there is a back up. BUT I love the pharmacy there. The pharmacists and techs are very nice and helpful. Service is always fast. Despite living IN San Francisco, I time my monthly RX refill with a trip to Target because of this. Plus before my insurance with my new job kicked in the prices there were cheap. read more

Check Before getting in line to pay for said purchases, I flip through a few tabloid magazines because I MUST read about how Sandra Bullock is in hiding & I MUST know how Kendra dropped her baby weight. I look up & see the Choxie section (yummy chocolates in colorful, delightful packaging.) My favorite kinds, the "truffle bars" are on clearance for $1 (down from $2.) I don't care to know why they're on clearance (maybe they're old, maybe they're not selling because they're unpopular; I'm reaping the benefits here.) I pick up FOUR varieties & toss them in my basket: * milk chocolate Koan coffee truffle bar * dark chocolate key lime truffle bar * milk chocolate creme brulee truffle bar * dark chocolate raspberry lemon biscotti truffle bar And now I must run an extra mile a day to make up for savoring these sinful, decadent chocolates, all bought on clearance. read more

Yes, it's enormous, but it's almost like they took all the shit that nobody wanted to buy from EVERY OTHER TARGET IN THE WORLD and brought it to this one. The layout is odd and disorganized, and the electronics/dvd's section is always an obstacle course. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! Sadly, I forgot to get her name, but I know I'll recognize her when I see her again- a lovely African-American lady. I stopped in to buy an eyeglass repair kit, and after telling me they didn't have them, she said she'd fix my glasses herself. And she did! For free! Even cleaned them (which they sorely needed)! It seems that many other posters prefer the Target across the freeway in Colma. I like this one, oddly enough. Sure, after being used to the Colma location, it is more difficult to find things. WHY can't they keep the layout the same @ every Target? That would make life so much easier. Living in the city now, I realize how expensive everything is if I decide to 'shop locally'. For example: Walgreens Target All 3x detergent $7.99 $4.50 Evenflo nipples: $4.99 $2.29 Little noses nasal spray/saline $4.29 $2.59 Spray nWash $4.59 $2.29 You get the point. After a 10 week period of being unable to do a Target Shopping Spree and doomed to buy everything at Walgreens, I finally went this week and combined it with a lunch date with a friend. With an 8 week old at home, it is nothing short of motherly guilt that I leave my baby at home with daddy for a few hours. (God, how am I going to go back to work?) Their baby items are well organized in that center 'aisle' area. I like. And don't get me wrong. I love Walgreens. But their prices, notsomuch. Friends who live out of state sing the praises of shopping at Wal-Mart, but since we don't have that as an option, I happily will go here. The sales clerk watched as my total verged well over $200, and suggested I apply for the Target card for an automatic 10% discount. Oh, hells yes. Much of the fresh meat sold at Target comes in packages of "modified atmosphere" that includes carbon monoxide gas to give it an artificial appearance of red fresh meat. Carbon monoxide is a poisonous gas that can cause death by carbon monoxide poisoning in high amounts. The carbon monoxide gas is absorbed by the meat and turns it a bright red color. The meat is labeled with the disclaimer "Color is not an accurate indicator of freshness. Refer to use or freeze by date." This means that if the meat spoils, it will still appear as bright red as the day that it was packaged. This could lead to accidental food poisoning since spoiled meat will look like red fresh meat. Meat treated with carbon monoxide in this manner has been banned in Canada, Japan, Singapore, and the European Union. Supermarkets such as Safeway and Lucky do not sell carbon monoxide treated meat. My family and I went shopping for a birthday gift in this store at around 330pm on August-7-2018 and ended up buying some more stuff (cool PJ selections for my daughters). So, we checked out at around 445pm and headed home. When parked to unload, I suddenly couldn't find my wallet, so I searched everywhere and called the store when they told me nothing was found. I went back to the store and let me tell you: From the cashiers to the nice gentleman at security office, they all were looking for it. Security even looked at tapes and told me I left my wallet on top of the cart after checking out. Finally, after almost two hours, two parking lot attendants, approached me and handed me my wallet with everything thing inside. I was so relieved that I hugged them both. I even wanted to pay them, but they wouldn't accept any money. Wow!!! John and his partner, searched the carts and found my wallet that fell in between the top crease of the cart where it folds down!!!! Who goes this far to help a customer these days? This experience just blew me away and restored my faith in human kindness. Target employees didn't have to do all this, but they went over and beyond!!! I am doing all my shopping there from now on. I wandered into this Target store looking for long-sleeved maternity shirts. Because summer in San Francisco looks nothing like summer in other parts of the country, I hoped to find some on the clearance rack. The racks in the general vicinity of the tiny maternity section were in complete disarray with clothes on the floor and Target associates lurching in front of me to shove more hangers into the mad milieu. Plus, there was one toddler somewhere in the store screaming at the top of his lungs as though someone were killing him with a chainsaw. The whole experience left me sour on this specific Target, which I shall now rename "Targhetto". Oh, and just as a side note, not only was the maternity section totally devoid of sales, but they had mixed it in together with the "Plus Size" women's clothing. Nothing a pregnant woman loves more than the implication that she is fat. I'll check the Target just across the highway next time. read more

Now living in SF...I don't have a Target right down the street so I obviously don't go as often. But I have been to the Daly City location about a handful of times and I have mixed reviews. Sometimes I go and they have everything I want, but there have been a few times where everything I wanted was out of stock and the check out lines were just nuts. Mostly because only a few lanes were open. But they do have standard Target merchandise and prices. Also have a Starbucks on-site. NOTE TO READERS: THE STARS ARE ONLY FOR THE TARGET CAFE!!! Dear San Francisco, Normally, I wouldn't waste time writing a review about a target store, if you haven't been to a Target, you might be the Uni-bomber, or you might pretend not to shop BigBox, but deep down inside, you love Target, even a bad Target, so the focus, as noted (supra) is THE CAFE. This cafe has disgusting hot pretzels, don't waste your time. I would rather throw up in my mouth and hold it there for ten minutes rather than subject myself to the Target Hot Pretzel again. The nachos are repulsive, and the jalapenos might be made from orphans' fingers. The slurpees though, are quite lovely. I think Slurpee (TM) might belong to 7-11, but I don't know what you would call the neon colored ice drink from the machine that goes round and round pleasantly like a washing machine otherwise... What you really want from this Target Cafe, though, is the hot dog. I preface this, with a note. I am from Chicago. My favorite hot dog comes from Gene and Judes, greatest hot dog known to man, seconded by Flukies, which for some unknown reason became some other name and now I won't eat it. Don't be fooled. All these yahoos think the Weiner Circle is the best, but they are idiotic neophytes without a trace of immigrant blood in them. They wouldn't know a delicious hot dog if it came up and slapped them in the face, (Dartanian!!!) but I DIGRESS! The Target cafe offers one of the only VIENNA ALL BEEF HOT DOGS on the West Coast. nay, West of the Mississippi. The bun isn't always perfectly steamy, but they do serve the right kind of mustard and relish. The pickle isn't terrible, but the hot dog, boiled nicely, is unmistakably Vienna All Beef. If you are from Chicago, and you need a hot dog, don't go to Chrissy Field and eat one of those sick dogs from that tofu-spin doctor down there. Do NOT eat a hot dog in San Francisco if you can help yourself. Just go to Serremonte Target. Spend more than one hundred of your hard earned dollars (inexplicably EVERY TIME) in the main store, but do NOT LEAVE HUNGRY. I repeat. eat the Vienna All Beef Hot dog. I wash mine down with a Cherry Coke. I love Cherry coke, but only from a fountain and only with a Target hot dog. In Chicago, I'd eat my dog with an orange soda, which is more like orange drink, non-bubbly, but only from Gene and Jude's (Grand/River Road, next door to the ill-fated Thirsty Whale). I love Target. During my rendezvous with the ballet flats at Ross, I was sucked along with the rest of the surburban cars streaming toward Target like lemmings. This location is not as large as the Greatland located on the other side of the freeway (I know, don't ask why they have two in such close proximity) but it is connected to a somewhat cheesy mall. It was packed here with people but the cashiers are quick, especially since I had only one item. I walked out with some detergent tucked under my arm and walked to my car, 30 cars deep and along the back. Be prepared for the death of all parking mall lots here. read more

I took Targets for granted if you can believe that! I moved here and automatically thought that there was one in the city, within a 5 mile radius...you can imagine my disappointment when I realized there was no such thing! Anyway, someone told me about this Target, and my hopes were renewed. Went one Saturday and have since made it "my" Target. The location is huge and the people that work there are generally helpful and friendly. Only problem is that I have the same problem I've had for years with this store...I specifically go there for toothpaste and/or soap (and the likes) and I come out spending $100 and have cds, magazines, nuts, a towel...EVERYTHING BUT the toothpaste of course! It's a little out of my way, but sometimes when my supplies are running low, I get in the car, curse the fact that I am losing my coveted parking spot...and roll out to Daly City. read more

Horrible. Just plain horrible. I love Target but i prefer going to the Target in Colma. It's only down the street... walkable if that. I've gotten such bad service every time i go there. The layout sucks and the place is a mess. One time i went there, the cashiers (the one i was at and the 2 next to her) were speaking to each other in tagalong. She didnt say ONE thing to me... not even my total. She kept chit chatting with her coworkers and laughing. PISSED me off. Also, they have the strictest return policy. I wanted to return a hair clipper that i purchased and didnt need anymore... they would only do an exchange for a hair dryer because the seal was broken... i took it to Colma Target and they took it back with no questions asked. Went here with my mom cause she wanted a specific movie. When we looked, they were sold out where the movie was supposed to be, so I went to ask a worker in electronics, Mike, and he went to check for me if there were any in the back. He checked the inventory and it said there were 9 left, but they should be in the front by the registers. We were heading to the front and all of a sudden, a couple minutes later, we heard someone calling for us, so we turned around. It was Mike and he came after us and handed us the movie my mom was looking for! Great customer service from Mike! Thank you! read more

Target has everything. I mean, EVERYTHING! And how does a retail giant still manage to be hip and chic? I'll probably be slightly embarrassed if I shop for clothes at walmart, but Target even has the Go International program where they get brand name designers to put their cheapest merchandise for sale in Target. Now I can proudly say that I own Proenza Schouler! Ha! During the crazy hunt for the next-gen video game console, this target was the only one with 6, count 'em 6, PS3s! PS3s are everywhere now, but back then, people were shooting each other for one, and target had them in stock! Still no Wii though =( If you're a DVD collector, target always has a good deal for new releases. I think they had family guy season 4 for $20 when it first came out. The downside of this target? Everyone in daly city thinks going to target as some sort of weekend excursion. It's so freaking crowded! I always get scared I'd get run over by a shopping cart. It's chaos. Also, the people in the electronics department know abso-fucking-lutly nothing about electronics. Aiya... read more
