I'm the kind of person to roam the aisles of target just to look for deals, things to buy and honestly, cause I really like target. To some folks, it's just target but to me, it's a store filled with quality essentials for every part of my life (almost!) Things i love about this target: It's next to a mall, super efficient to do some mall shopping and target shopping without having to move the car Great prices - and they price match sites like amazon and Walmart should you find a lower price! Great quality and job at selecting brands- especially love cat & jack, Bark! And hearth and hand! Coupon friendly at self checkout and in general (yes some targets actually prohibit coupon use at self checkout!) Starbucks - with delicious target shaped cookies! As for this target, their customer service reigns. I ha had a return issue and both Melvin and Mei handled it like champs- treating customers just as I expected and holding true to customer-is-first. I find parking at this target more pleasant due to diagonal spacing and proximity to the mall. This target also seems to carry stock better than the one across the freeway. Awesome place to be for just about anything. It's a nice place to walk around to just think and look at cool stuff! It's really weird buying groceries here. Bananas area rip off. 24 cents each. Trader Joes is 19 cents. Yeah, 5 cents, but still. Bring your own bags. You get 5 cents back on every bag you bring (even if you don't have enough stuff to fill them! Just don't go over board.) I bought this Philippine Mango-Pineapple gummy candy. Eh. EHH! It is something I would not buy again, but would eat it if I wanted something sweet and didn't have another choice. But it is not that close to awful. They sell Hello Panda cookies too. They need to update their workers on their coupon policy and teach them how to read the coupons pronto! I like the $1 section. This is a good Target location since it's adjacent to the Serramonte Shopping Mall, so there's things to do before/after as a convenient destination. This Target store is clean and organized. Parking is easy (don't quote me during Holiday shopping 'tho!) as it's within the Mall, so it's a lot of outdoor (no covered structure) parking. It's located conveniently off of the 280 freeway and I think there's a 2nd Target store within a mile or so down the way where the old "Gemco" (?) used to be located at the lower Junipero Serra shopping area too, so it's good to know if this Target is out of stock or doesn't have your size to maybe have them look it up there and it's a hop, skip and a jump over to the other location. read more

There's lots of fun stuff here, but I've struck out several times on finding a specific necessity. I'd rather support brick-and-mortar, even chain stores, but that means I need to be able to get batteries or cleaning supplies or whatever when I need it. There was another reviewer here that got accused of stealing and today it happened to me! This Target's security (he wasn't giving his name nor revealing his badge) but I'm sure Target has the info of the security who was working this afternoon! He does it so often that he has to hide his badge from getting in trouble but tries to get others in trouble? This Target at Serramonte is NOT the Target for your shopping needs but good for being accused of stealing. The security picks on who they want to mess with for accusation of stealing. I had the receipt and showed it to him but he still wanted me to come with to the cashier. Although l didn't have to because I have the receipt and did not steal anything, I needed to prove this security even more wrong that he was. Of course the cashier agreed with me that I paid even when I showed receipt. The security then told me to not to do this again! Not do what? Not shop here again because that I can do. Massive store, really well stocked, bright with wide aisles. But it is ALWAYS stuffed with people! People not watching their kids, people just leaving carts in the middle of an aisle and walking away, people knocking stuff off the shelves.....Its semi organized chaos. Then you get to the check out lines......Never been in a line that's taken less than 15 minutes to get through. I love shopping at my local Target I hate this place! This is an incredible Target! They have the largest variety and stock of home goods I've ever seen. Not only that, but it's all gorgeous. Rugs, throw blankets, decorative pillows and vases...etc. If I had more time, energy, and car space, I would have definitely bought some things. (Sir Dog was hogging up the back seat, for better or worse :)) Some Targets can feel a bit dingy, but not this one. The store was large and airy. The clothing selection is vast, and the groceries are probably the best I've ever seen at a Target (and that includes Super Target in other states). Very impressive. -1 star for the parking (no bueno). It's a zig-zag style lots with one-way lanes. If you don't mind walking, there are spots perpendicular to the main road at the end. Without getting too lengthy into my unique experience I want to say just this: Their jobs OBVIOUSLY entail a high level of multi tasking. And although most of my experience here has been just the regular tune up of my frames, they never EVER have made me feel like a burden. Today in particular they were extremely gracious with their greeting and extra meticulous with what I needed. The lobby is well kept with their professionalism, personalitie(s) and sanitation protocals. I'd give a 6th star to Cameron's well manicured hands. They look fabulous and scream cleanliness when it comes to handling the hardware that I wear on my face 18/24 hours of the day. As for the general store: I have only pursued biz here when in the neighborhood to tune up my glasses. Was shopping here with my niece and was followed by a Target undercover security...who by the way was doing a piss poor job at being "undercover"...following us and talking on his walkie as if we were idiots and not notice. Thought about approaching him to ask what his problem was but decided maybe it wasn't a good idea since he looked like he was ready to tackle me down for looking at crayons and a coloring activity book. Well apparently, I was told that I looked a little frumpy. First, ouch. Second, didn't realize that dressing in an oversized t-shirt and sweatpants equals thief!! Honestly, I hope that was not the reason why I got marked as a "possible shoplifter". To this place that I have spent countless amounts of $$$$ in, I am absolutely devastated. I took my mom to pick up something she has ordered and parked at the drive thur pick up. She has something to ask a staff so went inside real quick. There is also another car stopped there. This lady ONLY told me to move (may be I'm Asian). I explained to her that my mom is picking up her order inside and she told me that she has 10 customers coming to pick up and i need to move immediately. So eventually i did move. Within the whole time until my my mom comes out from the target (less than 5 min), the drive thur pick up parking spot was never full and no cars waiting. Every time I come here I feel as if management hired every wannabe Tiktok star. what i mean by that is the staff is soo unprofessional constantly being loud and saying inappropriate jokes when customers present. in most cases screaming or laughing uncontrollably. it creates a very unwelcoming Environments when customers walk by and the staff laughs as soon as they pass by maybe they are not but it's just a very childish staff. chasers are great the ppl at the door and at times the security seem like they are just at target with friends not so much doing there job. read more

I LOVE Target!!!!! They have almost everything you need here. We were doing some shopping to furnish a new condo and were able to find MOEN shower heads. MOEN PEOPLE!!!!!! I didnt think Target carried that stuff, but I guess it does!!! We ran home to install it and it works great!!! They only thing they didnt have here were white fabric shower liners. Luckily we were getting beige shower curtains and they had two yellow fabric shower liners left. Well, now they have one left after our visit. The store is currently undergoing renovations so there is this huge blocked off section in the middle of the store. But if you are patient enough, you should be able to find what you need here! Parking is free in the private lot but can be tough because everyone likes to shop here! read more

Blah. A couple of times this location hasn't had my Cambells soup when I've dropped by and for a Target this big that's a little ridiculous. On my last trip I picked up a great rug (slightly overpriced at 20 bucks) but they had a great selection of different colors and styles. Miss Bad Idea Bear and I are looking for a board game. Not a bored game. And since Mad Libs just isn't cutting it...here we are searching for something that is both a two player game, and is something that does not have role playing in it. Thus no dungeons or dragons or elves or settlers. We are not trying to build a village or conquer the world. We just need something to pass the time. This Target is well organized and had a relatively decent selection. We spent about 40 minutes in the game aisle debating on whether we wanted a trivia game (Me: No, I'm not that smart) or a card game (Me: I'm not that dumb). We finally settled on the game of Life...classic and telling. Constantly changing, and it doesn't require much thought. Wish my real life was as easy as the board game. On sale for $12...what a find. Which that the other game we wanted was on sale too...so we might be back for that next time. Minus 2 stars for the rude cashier and long lines. Can't they open up more registers? I drove all the way to serramonte for a coveted frozen toy that was being held for me at guest services. In and out right? Some guy cuts me off in line and when confronted, simply said "just making a payment". A-hole... I get my toys. All good. Letting it go... Head to the pharmacy to grab some vitamins. Not a single customer in sight there. Pharmacy tech Sunita refused to ring me up. Sent me to the cashiers which were at least 4-5 deep with customers waiting. i've always price matched here & for some reason they couldn't do it yesterday. i was at self checkout & asked if they could price match this item from walmart & the girl working at self checkout didn't know what to do or even how to do it she had to call someone to help us out ? ... the manager came and told me it wasn't showing up on their system and asked where did i find it on while i was showing the website and asked if i had a walmart account ? so i said forget it bc it literally took like 15 mins just for me to get price matched and they looked like they didn't even wanna help. i drove to colma target. they gave me my item with the walmart price no question asked no anything it was smooth and easy. read more

6/4/2007 UPDATE: Calling all craft lovers! You gotta check out Target's Dollar Spot (yup their dollar section)! On occasion I have found neat-o craft items there. Last weekend, I got 2 mini punches, ribbon, some scrapbook kits and rubber stamps (that go for $7 at Michael's) for $1 each! The wood on the stamps look cheap (plywood) but the rubber imprint works as well as the expensive brands. Punches work well too. Only thing, don't get the roll of ribbon. It may look like a lot but it's only 6" of ribbon. Enough to make a bow! ********* Ok I'm gonna preface my review by saying that I usually shop at the Colma one (less crowds = less anxiety over a runaway cart hitting my kid's stroller). Anyway I'm giving them 5 stars cuz last year, when I was in the hunt for a crib, they had the Simplicity Aspen crib on sale for a ridiculous price of $105. The catch is, if you want one, you have to call in to reserve one (they don't have these at the store). You also have to pick up the crib within 24 hours or they'll ship it back to the factory (yeah that doesn't make sense but whatever). Since we can only pick the crib up on the weekends (gotta get a big car for that sucker!), I called early in the week to cajole the staff into saving it all the way up to the weekend. I called, Colma & San Bruno and each were pretty much by the rules. Daly City was the only one who bent the rules for me. They even helped me roll it to my car. Crib is pretty good too. For this, they earned the complete 5 star treatment from me! :D read more

This particular Target isn't my favorite one, especially because it's always crowded and checkout lines are always long. I prefer the one at Colma, just a mere five minute drive away from this one. However, I go to this Target much more often because it's conveniently located off 280 and also because it's adjacent to the mall. It's not just this Target in particular, but all Targets, where the in-store prices don't match the online prices. (Online is generally cheaper.) Bought 2 things and asked for $40 cash back. I asked cashier to break up the $40. He asked how and I said 2 tens. He hands me $20 on top and the 2 tens underneath and they felt unusually crinkled. I just shoved them in my wallet since I needed to get home fast. That night, I took out my cash and examined the 2 tens. They looked much smaller than a regular 10. Held them up to the light and could see the image through it. But why would it shrink so much even though it's been through the wash? Had to check with the bank to confirm. The next day the teller ran it through his machine and confirmed that it was legit. I asked him to give me replacements. He asked the next teller to test it and it was indeed counterfeit. Asked him if Target would reimburse me. Said I could give it a try. Luckily I saved my receipt. Drove to Target in Serramonte and asked the security guard to speak with a manager. Explained the situation, informing him that the cashier should have recognized the counterfeit immediately and turned it over to the manager instead of passing it to a customer which is unethical. He apologized and said he'd reimburse me and made a copy of my receipt and would speak with the cashier. Good move. I don't know whether to give Target 5 stars for being considerate or 1 star for pulling a fast one on me so I'll give them 3 stars. read more

One Of My Top 5 Locations I Love To Shop At! This target store is super outstanding in: Stock Deals Customer Service And More.... I Drive 13 miles away just to come to this Target Location, why? just because of the Friendly Customer Service! It's like I'm in Disneyland with the positive attitude and "which I'm a big fan of" (going the extra mile) in getting you what you need.. The Employees there know there stuff up and down the store.. No matter what corner I turn there's always a Target Team Member greeting me or asking if I need help. I love the location, because it is also located in the Serramonte a mall, so if I needed to do more shopping elsewhere, I have that option. Despite the recent computer hacking that target took a toll on, the representatives let me know that things are ok and taking care of. . This is one of the worst Targets I've ever visited due to its crowdedness and its clientele (I guess I'm one of them). Unless I have over 10 items to purchase, I'd never come here. Parking lot is always a zoo and they always run out of shopping carts. In the store, while I walked two aisles away for an item, I came back and found a woman taking my merchandise out of my cart to steal my cart. I approached her and she said she was confused. Yeah right. The staff always seems clueless as to whether they carry certain items or not. Their normal tactic is to tell you to go the far corner and pray you don't come back and accost them for giving you the runaround. read more

I prefer to go to the one that they have inside Serramonte which is pretty big!!! Although the Target stores that is at Colma & San Bruno is pretty good also... I seem to like the one at Serramonte more is because every thing that I like to look at is all in one floor... Came in last week to buy a TV that I saw on their site and went over to the electronic department. 5 employees standing around, and I walked up to the counter and they all just looked at me blankly.. Finally someone asked what I need and told them about a tv I wanted to buy. They yelled to a young man who was standing off to the side to come help me, and he responded with "huh, what". Finally a young lady came over and began helping me out and told me she would go in the back and grab the tv. I stood around in that area for 15 minutes as she stood there and chatted with people, assuming she already called someone in the back to bring it out.... NOPE. She then left, later I found out she went home, and did nothing to actually go get the tv, except tell the original young man to help me. Finally after about 20 minutes of me coming up to the counter, that young man came to me and said "were you the one looking for a tv".... Extremely frustrating. He finally went to the back, came out with the tv, and rang me up, with no apology and no acknowledgment to how bad of an experience this was. I asked him what happened with the original lady and he said she was already almost off the clock, and went home. This 1 star review is for Jacqueline (Asian woman/med length black hair/middle aged). Every time I come to this Target Jacqueline is always stationed at the womenswear section. I understand that the dressing rooms close at 9, and that it's annoying to have customers actively shopping late at night right before closing, but she is beyond rude. It was 8:45, and my sister and I asked to use the dressing room. She looked at us, looked up and down, and then literally rolled her eyes. This was literally the first Target I've ever been to in my life (since I grew up near it) and has been the most convenient one to go to prior to the Colma one opening. It's in Serramonte Shopping Center on the side where there's Elephant Bar, Jamba Juice, etc; I know that the logistics of this store has changed a couple of times once they integrated pfresh (using my ex-Target lingo!). But it's generally easy to find anything you want. Clothes, accessories, shoes aka Softlines are in the middle of the store whereas all the other departments surround it. You can always find the deals from their weekly magazines too. Bonus points for this store having a food court! The icees are always my favvv. I give it only 4 stars because sometimes I have to wait a really long time to be able to check out. read more

One of the first Targets in the Bay area, the mall is under major construction so getting to this store is a bit of a pain but when you get in it is well stocked and they have a much larger food selection than other Targets. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They layout of the store is a bit weird but as for keeping the store it is nice and clean . This goes more towards the Starbucks that's inside this Target. The employees look like they hate their job. At least try to fake a smile or something. The cashier was on her phone while ringing up customer. I wish my job would allow me to be on my phone while being on the register. In general some of the target employees are rude. I was trying to buy a pair of eyelashes but they were put inside a plastic clear box, so when I went to self check out I asked an employee to unlock the box for me and she's like "you have to pay for this first." Been coming to this Target for years. It's attached to Serramonte Mall, which is convenient if you need to run other errands (hello Uniqlo), but also means this location gets busy. On weekends it's a zoo. The parking lot fills up quickly and the store is crowded. The trashcan outside the front doors is perpetually overflowing. Never come here the night before the school year starts. I've made that mistake. Overall, I find it decently well stocked for how busy it can get. They got a slight makeover recently with a new customer service area and expanded housewares section. I can mostly find what I need, and if I can't, I drive to the other side of the highway to go to the Daly City Target. I hit this one up first though as it seems better stocked. read more

I think this used to be a Super Target at one point, but regardless, this is a really huge Target store and gets very crowded in a hurry especially because it is attached to the popular Serramonte Center. Food, drinks, and other merchandise are not always stocked properly though and sometimes I end up buying less than I originally intended. Nice thing is that the departments and layouts have been fairly consistent over the years. There usually tend to be many lanes open, plus now there are four self-checkout lanes. Again, because this is at a very popular mall along the Peninsula and just south of dense San Francisco, parking is such a huge problem especially during peak periods. Then again, there is also quite a bit parking way down on the opposite end near the corners of Serramonte Blvd. and Gellert Blvd, unless you're not the time to want to walk a long distance, hehe! read more

Living on the south side of San Francisco has it's flaws but being close a Target is not one of them. It's only 10 minutes away and a haven for all those that are going to SFSU. I used to go there all the time. Minus one star for being so busy. The prices right now are decent because it's back to school time and a lot of what I needed is cheap right now. Even if its just an errand kind of shopping, i always like going to target no matter whats the occasion. Whenever i go to this target, it usually crowded since its connected to Serramonte mall. Luckily enough, it wasn't too crowded since its a weekday and it wasn't a great weather on the day i visit this store. Even though this target is a little smaller than the Colma target and tanforan target, it still has everything you need from electronic section, grocery section, and things you need for schools and office, house stuff which includes kitchen items, bedroom things, and rest room items, things that you can decorate your house, clothes, and so on The line can always be a pain too especially weekend since the lines tend to be long every time i visit this target.
