I am a huge fan of the Dollar Tree brand. For its simplicity and convenience for customers that want it simple and affordable. I appreciate how the Dollar store (more like $1.25 now) offers a wide variety of items, including: gifts, toys, home essentials, snacks, frozen goods, and drinks. This particular location (At the Serramonte Center) is one of my favorites because they clearly highlight and focus on being tidy, well-organized, and spacious, with plenty of parking on site. What I have even learned is during national holidays, like: the 4th of July, Easter, Thanksgiving and especially the Christmas holiday season. The dollar tree will highlight those holidays with sales on special decor and festive displays or gifts options. At just an affordable price point. It's so easy to go here as an alternative to the larger chain stores. Although the price has gone up to $1.25 (or more depending on what you are buying). There are still some great finds. You just have to be a little more careful with your purchases because some of the items are not the price you are expecting them to be anymore. As a tip. I highly recommend checking your receipt before leaving the store to make sure you didn't buy anything that cost more than you were expecting. Especially because things can add up quicker than you think. Other than that I'd say that the store is clean and well stocked. This location is conveniently located next to Kohl's at Serramonte. There's a driveway you pull in where the front of the store actually is. Things are still $1.25 for now but buyers beware some are priced higher like $2 for some of their containers and calendars that I wasn't aware are different cost after getting home to look at my receipt. Even then, their calendars are on Amazon are like $1-2more, so still ok if I'm coming by "on the way". However if you factor in the gasoline cost, I'm not sure if I would come just for the calendar. I might rather buy off Amazon since they have a lot more selections. Their stuff kinda flimsy, plastics are thin and feel cheap, but that's expected.. therefore the -1star. It may not be the best dollar store items but if you look hard there might be some things that are really worth it. Not going to lie I come here for voodoo chips which is my favorite. DON'T GO HERE AND DON'T BE FOOLED BY THEIR FAKE CLEANING PRODUCTS. The Phone Number is disconnected & the Cleaning Vinegar and the Ammonia products (in large jugs) have no smell, which means that they are not Vinegar nor Ammonia, respectively. I tested the "cleaning vinegar" I bought there in a small cup with Baking Soda; normally vinegar and baking soda will FIZZ Up. No Fizz, no smell whatsoever of vinegar, other than a stale odor. As context, I bought these items -- 2 jugs of The Cleaning Vinegar and 2 jugs of the Ammonia in the past 2 months and stored them away from sunlight. When I called to try to set up a time to meet the store manager and show that the fluid in these 4 jugs -- what ever they are -- are NOT Cleaning Vinegar nor Ammonia -- I learned the phone number is defunct. My friend is a die-hard shopper at Dollar Tree and has recommended that I check it out. Well after lunch one day, my friend said he wanted to stop by the Dollar Tree in Colma, which was nearby. We had no problems with parking as the store has a pretty big parking lot. Walking in, it surprised me how big was this store. With Dollar in its name, I noticed that the store's prices are extreme values. They have aisles of products in every category. You can find party supplies, arts and craft supplies, cooking and baking supplies, household and cleaning supplies, toys and puzzles, personal care items, foods, snacks, candies and drinks and seasonal/holiday supplies. I saw Valentines and St. Patrick's Day items. They had Hallmark greeting cards too. I got some bags of candies for the movies. Finally found a cheap option for basic food items (Ramen, BbQ, Tortillas, snacks, Christmas candy, hot dogs e bologna) and was thrilled it was truly 1.25-1.50 just like our store in Tennessee! I think this is the best of all the Dollar Trees in the Colma/Daly City/South City/Pacifica areas. Parking is always a breeze, and the store is mostly tidy even during busy times. I can usually spot an employee in the aisles if I have a question, and even the longest lines move pretty quickly. Most importantly, I nearly always find either exactly what I need or a good workaround, like week before last when there were no rectangular tablecloths but plenty of round ones. I buy a lot of seasonal decor and food serving/party supplies for school events. This dollar tree is surprisingly clean and neat for how much traffic it gets. Keeping with inflation, dollar tree is now dollar twenty five tree, but prices are still more competitive than nearly anywhere else. I got most of my Halloween decorations here for a quarter of the price of places like target or spirit. Currently there is a pretty sparse collection of Halloween decorations left but still some stuff. This is one of the nicer locations compare to the one on Geneva & Mission top of the hill. But like others, their invention is low and low on staff means product isn't coming out as fast. I usually don't need help looking for anything. But I came in with my niece today to look for beads. We found a beautiful aqua iridescent beads but only one left. I found a staff and she picked up her phone talking to idk who and she said buy and then continue to talk and explain the shipment she was looking at and why it's over product and such and started to calculate. Yes, you saw right - this place has gotten us through at least 2-3 goodie bag requests for our child's class and covered all our decor needs for my daughter's mermaid birthday! This is my favorite Dollar Tree around the area. There's always a big selection and most things are usually in stock. The store itself is pretty neat and organized and I never have a problem finding what I need. I also notice that this location is never that crowded either. With the economy struggling with inflation right now, I found myself stopping by here to pick up some cleaning supplies instead of spending a fortune at Target. I picked up so many good quality cleaning supplies for under $20! Lots of branded items as well too. I give this store 3 stars for my mixed review. The 3 stars is because This is a fairly big store so you can find some household items you wouldn't typically find at alternative stores; an example would be DIY flowers, wreaths, plant pots, yard and home decor, etc... The minus 2 stars is because you should NOT but food products from here. This store carry's 1$-5$ fridge/freezer section. Items placed in the 1$ fridge rang up as 3$ and the employee wouldn't budge on the price. The candy isle had the 1.25$ items per bag for sour patch kids and other goodies. I drove down the street to grocery outlet and there was a large multi-pack for exactly 1.25$. I also bought Ms.Fields cookies to bake from the fridge and once baked they cooked flat and tasted old. As an SF resident, we all know how costly CA is to live in, especially in the big cities! No such thing as $1 no more, but this shop rocks! Many items for almost all of your needs & at very reasonable prices ! Fruit juices by Jumex is just $1.25 but in Walgreens in Sf are $1.69 + the ridiculous extra taxes. They have the same stock as all the other dollar stores. I went in to grab garbage bags. I found their craft section and this was the first time I saw a yarn section. They had yarn from premier. Yarn was good quality for $1! I bought 4 small skeins that were good for beanies. I understand the yarn is close out stock so the inventory may change. This location has a decent selection of items to choose from, but can be very limited at times. I still find the South San Francisco location on El Camino Real to be bigger and more organized. The balloon section is either out of helium, restricted due to helium shortage, or low on stock for many patterns of balloons. The parking here is great and spacious. There are two cashiers open and both of the lines go past an entire length of an aisle. What in the world! I don't know if it's a problem with staffing, but the wait is always long here. I like this location so much better than the one on Geneva. Geneva is closer to my house but I rather drive a bit further as this location is nicer, bigger, cleaner, more products in stock, and staff is nicer as well. I can't tell you how many times a staff at the Geneva location is rude and unprofessional and doesn't know where the items are located. Staff here is nice, greets you with a simple hi or how are you? This dumb lady prints me a receipt with no ink. So I ask for a reprint. She tells me I have to wait until she rings up the next person in order for her to reprint me my receipt. I asked to cancel the item she rung up for the next person and just reprint my receipt first, she tells me she can't. THATS A LIE!!!! When she's done ringing up the next person the same thing happened to her receipt and she reprinted it right away. Why did I have to wait for her to finish with the next customer?? This dollar tree location is the biggest one near me Vs. The Pacifica fairmont center location. The only thing I HATE with a passion is how freaking humid it is inside this store. I went there for Halloween I found some cool stuff I found a few things for someone that likes candles n I found a really cool wolf puzzle $1 that's normally like 10 bucks. There are never enough available cashiers and the lines are super long. I came here the other day to buy goodie bags and candy for my class, and they had everything I needed, which was great. This is my go-to Dollar Tree: wide aisles & wide variety of merchandise. Store is typically clean and plus: so are the bathrooms! My favorites: gift bags, ziplock bags, batteries, and greeting cards! They sell a decent selection of cleaning supplies (soaps, disinfectants, brooms, toilet bowl cleaners...). You may wait a while but acknowledge where you're shopping: Dollar Tree. Don't expect Nordstrom's customer service for $1 merchandise. I appreciated Athanasia'a customer service: she greeting while scanning my items, wished me a good day,and separated my purchase correctly (I had different bags for my items).
