1/27/26 - A printed receipt from Dollar Tree in Colma, California, showing purchased items, prices, and transaction details, dated January 27, 2026.

Low prices don't mean bad quality. I like shopping at Dollar Tree because you can find good-quality items for less. Sometimes cheaper items are even better than what you find online. :)

Balloons are now $2 each

Announcement: Foil balloons went from $1.25 to now $2 each! Good variety for seasonal selection like Mother's Day, there are always birthday ones Parking lot free and easy Craft section toward the back left of the store is hit or miss. Sometimes if you're there at the right time you'll find great stuff and because it's such a good find, it goes fast. So sometimes it's pretty picked over Long cashier lines usually especially weekends. Appreciate if and when they do open more lines to help the flow instead of having people spilling into the aisles to queue up

My friend is a die-hard shopper at Dollar Tree and has recommended that I check it out. Well after lunch one day, my friend said he wanted to stop by the Dollar Tree in Colma, which was nearby. We had no problems with parking as the store has a pretty big parking lot. Walking in, it surprised me how big was this store. With Dollar in its name, I noticed that the store's prices are extreme values. They have aisles of products in every category. You can find party supplies, arts and craft supplies, cooking and baking supplies, household and cleaning supplies, toys and puzzles, personal care items, foods, snacks, candies and drinks and seasonal/holiday supplies. I saw Valentines and St. Patrick's Day items. They had Hallmark greeting cards too. I got some bags of candies for the movies. Now that I have shopped at Dollar Tree and had a good experience and know what they offer, I'll be back.

This is one of the nicer locations compare to the one on Geneva & Mission top of the hill. But like others, their invention is low and low on staff means product isn't coming out as fast. I usually don't need help looking for anything. But I came in with my niece today to look for beads. We found a beautiful aqua iridescent beads but only one left. I found a staff and she picked up her phone talking to idk who and she said buy and then continue to talk and explain the shipment she was looking at and why it's over product and such and started to calculate. I started to ask if these are all the beads can you check the back She was quick to answer with a don't care tone.

Slow staff!!! Even with a long line of 15 people, the cashier decided to chat instead of work.

Many different items inside from candles to napkins, make up to picture frames, snacks to drinks, utensils to small gifts. Before coming in here today, I drove around SF & Daly City looking to buy helium for balloons. My cousin couldn't find any for her daughters birthday which was in an hour!! Walmart was sold out. Target was closed. I had called Home Depot, it was said they have them in stock, went there and none to be found. Started googling, and this store popped up. I called and asked if they have HELIUM TANKS FOR SALE TO BLOW UP BALLONS, the girl who answered the phone said yes they sell helium tanks, a tank for $8, bigger tanks are more. So of course I drove there. Went in and said told them I just called, can I see the tanks, and the girl (in a hijab) showed me a helium tank. THEIR helium tank that they use to blow up their balloons for sale. I said thanks and left. Did a lot of texting with my cousins and she was at Lucky's down the street. She waited FOREVER, so she asked me to bring the balloons back here and get them blown up. Each ballon was $3, we had 26, total $85 (+tax) They also have balloons for sale, they have a huge variety of balloons taped top of the wall for you to choose from, and guess what? They're $3/ea! Not $1.50 or less. I'm grateful they were open, esp on this holiday where stores were closed. Both girls were really nice and patient. I felt kind of bad because their line was getting long, and I was holding up the line because I was getting many balloons blown up.

This makes me feel bad.I hope that the owner would read this. Because this is bad customer service. This is harassment. This place is going down due the bad service.

They get a lot of pallet items from big box stores and Amazon, so inventory is always changing. Plenty of stuff under MSRP, lots of tools, and a good mix of new in box and sealed items. It's honestly just fun to browse and see what turns up. Be warned though, it is quite messy inside so be ready to dig. Some items are returns, which is expected with pallet goods, but they do inspect things before putting them out. They missed something once on an item I bought that it didn't work out for me, but they honored the exchange without any hassle. Overall, fun place to browse and see what turns up.

BUYER BEWARE!!! I…read morepurchased a RIDGID wet tile saw here for $250 and was clearly told it was new. The owner said I could "check it out," so I lifted the top of the box in the store, saw tags attached, and trusted their representation that it was new and complete. I purchased the saw well in advance of the beginning of my project because it seemed like a good deal. Almost two months later, when I fully unpacked it to start my project, I discovered multiple essential parts were missing. The saw is completely unusable. When I contacted the store, they refused any refund and blamed me for not fully unpacking and inventorying every component at the counter. That expectation is unreasonable. This is a large saw with many tightly packed components. Once fully unpacked, it's nearly impossible to repack it exactly as it was. The store is extremely cluttered with little open space, making it impractical to lay out and inspect every part of a large piece of equipment on-site. At the end of the day, I trusted their advertisement and verbal assurance that I was purchasing a new, complete product. Instead, I was left with an unusable saw and zero accountability from the seller. I am now out $250 and forced to replace it. If you shop here, assume you are taking on all risk. Inspect every component before paying -- because if something is wrong, you will be told it's your fault. Also, the pictures provided above by this store are not what it looks like inside. Items are scattered everywhere. DO NOT TRUST THIS BUSINESS!!!

It's wild. We had one hour to pick through bins, examine items and pay. The next group comes in an hour later. I walked out with a pair of slacks, a Henley and an embroidered Mexican blouse--$6. That's it. I don't think I'll be making an effort to go back.

Check the rotation schedule before you visit!…read more While I appreciate that they're trying to keep things fresh, the shopping blocks are limited to just 1.5 hours, and everyone has to check out and leave at the end of each block. During the 45-minute break between rotations, new items are brought out, but if you're planning to be there all day, it's pretty frustrating to have to leave for such a long period. Personally, I preferred the old schedule where we didn't have to step out for such an extended break. It felt more efficient and enjoyable, especially for those who like to take their time browsing. In my opinion, the new system feels like a waste of time, and I hope they consider going back to the previous setup. Additionally, I was disappointed to find that there are no longer any household items or shoes available -- it's all clothes now. The selection is pretty bad, and I found myself leaving empty-handed. It's a shame because the variety used to be one of the best parts of shopping there. Overall, the experience has really gone downhill, and I hope they reconsider both the new schedule and their stock offerings. It's still a place to find bargains if you're patient, but the changes have made it much less enjoyable than it used to be.
