Check the rotation schedule before you visit! While I appreciate that they're trying to keep things fresh, the shopping blocks are limited to just 1.5 hours, and everyone has to check out and leave at the end of each block. During the 45-minute break between rotations, new items are brought out, but if you're planning to be there all day, it's pretty frustrating to have to leave for such a long period. Personally, I preferred the old schedule where we didn't have to step out for such an extended break. It felt more efficient and enjoyable, especially for those who like to take their time browsing. In my opinion, the new system feels like a waste of time, and I hope they consider going back to the previous setup. Additionally, I was disappointed to find that there are no longer any household items or shoes available -- it's all clothes now. The selection is pretty bad, and I found myself leaving empty-handed. It's a shame because the variety used to be one of the best parts of shopping there. Overall, the experience has really gone downhill, and I hope they reconsider both the new schedule and their stock offerings. If you have been to other Goodwill Bins, any other Bins - then save your time and drive to your favorite Bins location. Unless clothes are your thing. All of the other items are tossed into large Gaylords that do not appear to be restocked regularly. So - this place may be good for clothing but considering the huge building, the actual number of bins was extremely small. Most of the workers are focused on distribution to other locations. Good pricing - I think it was $2.29/lb for clothing. One more thing - it says that they open at 7AM, but they don't actually open until 9:15AM according to a regular. read more

$1.99 per pound of clothes? Say less!!! This is a Goodwill Warehouse so clothes will be in bins where you dig through and not on hangers like the usual Goodwill stores. Weekdays I believe they open at 10:30am and rotation is 12:30pm-1:00pm where they take out the old clothes and restock the bins. TIPS: Bring a bag, gloves, and wear masks! Bring a bag to put your finds while digging as they do not provide shopping bags. With all the digging, dust will be flying around so wear mask if you have a sensitive nose. Gloves to keep your hands clean since some clothes can be real dirty and I've seen a lot of underwear/socks/bras in the bins. Definitely would not want to touch (potentially used) underwear with bare hands. I got around 7 items around 3.5lb of clothing for $6.97. Depending on the worker, some will charge you the exact weight (ex: 3.5lb x $1.99per lb) but some will round up to the next pound (ex: 4lb x $1.99per lb) Definitely come visit this place a try if you want some affordable clothing! Staffs are super friendly and I've had great finds every time I came. Some nicer brands I see often are Lululemon, Brandy Melville, Nike, Zara, Levi's. read more

The people who work here are doing great work. What the public encounters as individual buyers is lackluster at best. You can look for clothing, but that's it. Everything that is not clothing related is off limits. It's a sorting facility for goodwill with a very limited amount of clothing for sale to the public. Most goodwill stores have a far superior selection. Nothing is sorted at all. Also, a good idea to bring some gloves. I saw some less than desirable garments in the mix. The colorblind person who took the photos and wrote the description listed the item as a *BLACK* blazer, but it showed up as dark navy blue. The bidding went high on it, because black blazers sell for much more in this style of the Hugo Boss brand on their website. They refuse to allow me to return the item or refund anything beyond 40% of the purchase price. I don't need or want a blue blazer. I needed a black one. That's why I bought and *paid* for a black one. If the pictures and description are wrong, that's not on the customer, that is *your* fault. Not allowing refunds for incorrect listings and photos is absurd and constitutes fraud. I have no idea how their website is allowed to stay active when they are actively committing fraud. read more

Come as early as possible! We arrived here sometime at noon and there were barely any good items left. There were no lines - we just walked right in. This was my first time going so I have not really figured out the trick (e.g. best time to go) thus my experience was not quite what I expected. I ended up not buying anything since most of the clothes were for women and the remaining men's clothes were not something I'd wear. None of their items were washed so I highly suggest that you wear gloves and masks. They have probably more than 10 bins that you can go through. During prime hours, you might find yourself competing with other folks for the best items. From what I heard, lines do form outside and they give a group of people a certain amount of minutes to go through the bins. They then restock each bin for the next group. Since I came at noon, this was not the process I went through. I do think this is a great alternative to thrift shopping if you want to pay the least amount of money. If you're a little sensitive to cleanliness, then this is not the option for you. read more

You will notice it's Arizona clothes when you see the goodwill tag and it reads AZ. The Arizona clothes are not good quality compared to San Francisco donations. The first step was removing bulk box purchases with no prior notice and now they have fully removed San Francisco clothes entirely. First of all this is not a bins location. They true bins rotates every 30 mins. this rotates only twice for the WHOLE day. What a waste of my time. One time they made everyone go outside and re-enter like we we WERE STARVING animals. There is a SMALL amount of bins to choose from ,and you know they cherry pick the items before they hit the bins. For bins Be prepared to wait at least 1 hour if there are more than 20 people in front of you. It can be a bit of sensory overload (loud, dim, and a bit hectic) but you can find some great deals ( labels and styles). The bins are an assortment of clothing and linen. Another option is to skip the wait by paying $50 for your own personal container in a different area then the bins then either sorting through it there to only take what you like with the option to leave the rest or take you can decide to take it all. You will definitely need a truck or super large vehicle to do so. Anyways Good luck hunting. Tips for a better experience: *Take a chair for the wait *Take an umbrella depending on the time of year. My first and last trip (11-21-23) to this GW bin outlet. Only about 14 bins out and mostly filled with discards. There was a separate area with lots of boxes filled with the better quality clothing a few people were looking thru'--called the 'wholesale' area--you could get in for a $60 fee and look thru' these boxes. Only one bin of shoes and no hard goods or books. The bins were never rotated with stock even once during the two hours I was there, despite there being literally dozens of large boxes filled with clothing sitting in plain sight. My first bins experience! If you're like me and love going to thrift stores then be aware that the Goodwill Wholesale is basically thrifting... without the store front. No clearly labeled sections around here, no sir. Once you turn into Utah Ave., you'll possibly see a lot of folks lined up for something. That, my friends, is the line to the inside goodness. Parking isn't particularly tough, there's a lot of street parking around the area, but it is a busy street so be careful crossing. The workers seem nice enough. I'm not sure how often the bins get rotated, but my boyfriend and I joined in on the last round before they switched them around. Did we find anything? No. Do we know the prices? No. Did I have fun? The Goodwill Outlets are always a bargain hunter's dream! Since they charge by the pound, even if you only find one or two things, its always worthwhile. Visted on a Thursday and it was surprisinly quiet! I usually go to the one in Oakland which is much busier. Only 4 stars because, even though they clearly have a huge amount of inventory, they don't rotate the bins very often. I don't know why they don't rotate once an hour or so, instead of dragging it out for over 2 hours! Maybe it was short staffed today? Parking was easier than expected! It's street parking for 2 hours but it was quite easy to move the car to the other side of the street. And yeah, definitely bring your own bags! read more

I hope we never go back to how bins used to be! Waited in line about 30 minutes, but was among the last group to be let in on this day. With COVID concerns, everyone was issued a cart and had their own bin to rifle through (read: no fighting or scrambling to be the first to discover the goods)! After about 5 minutes, an employee would get on a megaphone, and instruct us to "rotate." Everyone was able to visit each bin and revisit after others cleared out. All in all, I left with a shopping cart full of clothes and shoes, all just under $50! New managers decided it was okay to remove wholesale boxes. This comepletely played with everybodys lives because me including A LOT of other people who have been going here before the location even moved from burlingame. This location is now only tables and is the worst thing ever. Goodwill says themself they are a 100% non profit organization, it's a complete lie. They are all FOR PROFIT. They started a online store, they handpick everything and let everyone have trash and waste money, they even just started a new partnership with arizona to make even MORE money. I'm not the only person who feels this way and I promise you guys that, everyone is going to be saying something very soon. I love thrifting for fun to find clothes for the family! I've been seeing YouTube videos and blogs talking about the Bins and I just just curious for the experience. I don't resell and frankly quite selective about clothes but I'm happy to report I did not leave empty handed. I got two pieces for myself: 100% grey cashmere sweater and a swimsuit cover, a bunch of clothes for the kids, and 2 matching pillow covers. Despite it being in bins, everything I got was in excellent condition for a total of $12. I was reluctant to take stuff home just because they were cheap, I genuinely have to like the items enough that I would be willing to pay regular (thrift) store prices for them. When I got home, I realized the pillow covers were from Serena and Lilly and go for $200 on eBay! I guess I just have really good taste lol. read more

UPDATED HOURS & PRICES The current process is each person/group gets 2 min per bin and a beeping sound tells you when the 2 mins are over. There's about 12-14 bins to go through. At the end you can go back to any of the bins too. I'd recommend bringing someone else bc it's too hard to go through a bin in 2 mins by yourself. Also I recommend bringing gloves and your own bags since they don't provide any. They change out the bins after every group, so you'll get new stuff too! I started a side hustle after COVID. sometimes you get really good items and sometimes you don't cuz it had been picked through numerous times. I use to come 2-3 times a week now I come almost everyday. The ladies working the floor are super nice but I did noticed kids just walking off with clothes ( a lot) cuz no one is watching the entrance. Bring extra reusable bags because you'll always come out with something! My favorite finds include Star Wars hats, aprons, and t-shirts. This is a great place to look for cheap clothing! The only reason I am giving it a lower rating is because this is the only goodwill bins location that has employees smoking close to customers. At this location customers have to wait in a line outdoors before going inside to the bins. I frequently notice that employees are smoking within 10 ft of the line and I can smell the vapors while waiting in line. As someone who has asthma and sensitive lungs I have to wear double masks otherwise my lungs will get irritated from the smoking odor. Pros: - cheap clothing around $1.79@ per pound - great place to find nice jackets, sweaters, and jeans, treaure hunt style - sometimes they bring out the accessories bins and it has cool hats and purses. shoes are $2 per pair. but they rarely bring it out anymore. - they provide plastic bags, or you can bring your own ikea tote - bins rotate every 2 min. As a thrifter and reseller I am familiar with Goodwill bins all over the state, and the Bay Area has strange management policies that make these bins a waste of time. First of all, there is a limited selection of only clothes, maybe 12-15 bins setup that area partially full on a daily basis, that's it. Obviously there is TONS of leftover merchandise from the dozens of local stores but for whatever reason, none of this is available at these bins. Next the policies here are to let only 20 people in at a time (or some number) and everybody else waits outside for a "rotation" - this is not a Covid thing, it is a permanent policy which means you spend most of your day WAITING just to get in. WHY? Does anybody else do this at any other goodwills? Nope. The management here is trying to limit buying at bins, I think. If you are a reseller, don't bother with this place. Sadly, the Oakland bins used to be worthwhile and run more typically UNTIL the San Francisco Goodwill took over and now those are waste of time also.
