Review is a shoutout to Costco for their electric scooters made available as a first come first served for customers with limited mobility. On crutches recently and the scooters were so helpful and easy to navigate. There is a large wire basket in the front for your goods, and when you pay, you roll up behind the cashier. I could even scooter into the bathroom. Thank you to Costco staff for being compassionate. I have a newfound appreciation for disability design and consideration. read more

I happened to read about CKE yesterday and came by today to ask about it. Lo, and behold, they were starting their event TODAY! CKE people are cheerful, kind, knowledgeable and totally awesome when you walk up to their mobile van unit. Replaced a key fob combo for an older car. Dealers are outrageously expensive. Checked pricing with a few local locksmiths who handled these car fobs, pricing $350+. Still better than a dealer but thought I'd check out CKE since they were due to be at 1600 ECR. There can be wait if CKE doesn't have your particular key fob in stock. But I was LUCKY!!!! CKE was able to handle my car key replacement same day while I waited. You take a CKE QR code pass inside Costco to pay. You take your receipt back out to CKE then you wait. Arrived from start to finish was less than 20 minutes! I came here today to refill a prescription, and received exceptional customer service. Was assisted by team member stationed at the Member Services desk. A young lady with the most lovely aesthetic, named Athena. She was particularly worthy of highlighting in this here review. I want to thank her for being attentive and forthright. Giving me sincere suggestions, free of blatant judgement. All to ultimately ensure that I can receive the most out of the benefits and terrific perks that are readily available to each paying Costco member. I will take heed and follow her verbal instructions. There was a slight issue with me refilling my medication at the pharmacy, but it was taken care of without difficulty. I mostly shopped at this Costco location as it is the nearest to my home. However, my customer experience at this location has been, by far, the WORST! I'm sure you'll all agree that Costco online offers great deals on good quality jewelry and, therefore, when I wanted to upgrade my beat up diamond engagement ring, Costco is the first place I looked. I found a gorgeous platinum setting diamond solitaire for $13k, my hubby agreed to the purchase & we bought it. It arrived within 2 days. I tried it on & realized the size of the solitaire did not flatter my rather pudgy finger. So I put in our safe thinking I would return it & literally (yes.... blame it on aging, I suppose) forgot all about it!! I consistently get emails from Costco on offers & approx 10 months later, in one of these emails, I saw the exact same ring priced at $9.5k, $3.5k less than I had paid for it!! So I took my ring in its original packing with the tag still on to Costco at 1600 El Camino Real. Because it was such a high priced item the store staff had to call out a manager to authorize the return. Said manager was one of the biggest bigots I had ever encountered in my life!!! He asked me why I was returning the ring & I said I had changed my mind, seen the lowered price & could use the money I save for something else. He told me it was past the return window just as an Asian couple next to me were returning a vacuum, after 6 months, with the dirt collected still inside the canister!!!' I said the ring was unused still with its tag &, aside from trying it in once, I had never used it. And yet Costco would accept a return of a used dirty vacuum & not the ring? He told me that was a different case as it was not as "high priced" as the item I wanted to return. He berated me for "using Costco as a convenience", ranted on for a few minutes throwing in some suggestive racial slurs for good measure & made it sound like I was a low category criminal trying to work the system. After being publicly humiliated by him, he told me that he would agree to refunding me the current price of the ring which was $3.5k LESS than I had paid. I asked him to explain why I should be losing money & he told me that was the best he could do. So I told him I'll keep the ring. I went back home, called Costco customer service on the phone & explained my indignation at the unnecessary humiliation I faced at the hands of the so-called manager at 1600 El Camino. The Costco phone rep was super nice & suggested I process the return at another Costco location. So I went over to the location at 451 S. Airport Blvd & was treated with the respect that I believe ALL customers, irrespective of their ethnicity or circumstance, should be treated. I returned the ring for store credit & was able to purchase a bigger solitaire for the same price. Still a huge Costco fan & will continue to patronize the establishment. My advice to the El Camino branch would be firstly to hire staff that are customer service oriented & not on power trips. Also to train their staff, especially managers, on cultural sensitivity!! read more

I usually buy them from Chinese grocery stores or markets, where the price ranges from $38 to $68 or even $88, depending on the size. LILY in the the rudest worker in Costco. First she asked the line if there were any full pizza orders and no one replied. She asked a second time and the customer said I have an order for a slice. LILY said whole pizza then turned to her co-workers and said "people don't listen" Then I asked for a 2 cups of onions to go with my 4 hot dogs. She said she didn't have any. I asked for 3 empty cups for matchup, mustard and relish as I was dropping this meal off to a senior home. LILY said she has no cups. I asked how could that be? LILY said "we ran out. Onions do run out" I walked away and saw a customer with hot dogs purchase and a cup of onions. I sent my husband to ask for the onions from another worker and he got them. Although it could be hard to find a parking spot and traffic can be jammed, shopping at Costco is always worth the trip for their good deals and cheapest gas. This is my favorite Costco, I just hope they start ordering more Boy clothes options because it varies from one to two choices per size and for 10/12 big boy, while the Girl clothes selection has so many more options available in all sizes. read more

nice location to go to has everything that most costcos has and a little more. Usually I go to Business Costco because it's super busy in this location, Hard to find parking, guys here do not know how to drive their cart and I always see guys taking forever to make up their minds. The good things I mostly like in this location is it's near Serramonte or other places to go, the staff is very friendly, patient, and fast, there are times where I see people come in with 2 full carts and are done in less than 5 minutes. Also I see a guys make staff return 10 items and only buy 1 thing, Luckily the workers are fast to adapt and know what to do already. Another good thing I like is they have more stock and selections than the costco airport and harrison locations. The food court is ok plenty of ways to order, though it's always faster to use the self kiosk or order at the front registers first, Especially if you just ordering hotdogs or anything not whole pizzas you should have your food ready in minutes even if it's lunch time. Every time I come here busy or no busy I still get my 3 hot dogs, 3 sodas and chicken salad in minutes even after lining up. I just wish like everyone else the Whole COMBO PIZZA would make its return. When they took that off I stop buying pizzas from costco and this Calzón or Mini Me version the combo pizza won't make me satisfied. Come on guys every costco food review there's always guys asking to bring Whole Combo Pizza back. The calzone has the same pepperoni, salami, peppers, olives, mushrooms, sausage you find in combo. If you have to increase the price to 11$ or just 2 more people will still buy it. Compared to most pizza places or guys paying 30 to 50 for a large combo these days 11$, 13, or below 20$ is still not bad. Overall it's a ok location but there are some flaws like the bad cart drivers or people that just leave their cart in line and only order a chicken bake. Seriously, just leave your cart to the side wall and let your friend guard the cart while you wait in line. The sample lines are filled with guys taking too many samples, don't even buy the samples while they pig out, and be too cheap to buy a hotdog soda combo that cost only 2$ I don't care too much about that, but some guys are very rude and get super salty if they don't get a whole can of gatorade for free. I seen guys push and hurt kids over just samples of coffee that should not be happening at anytime and people like that should not be allowed in any costco. Still the staff is very nice, caring, and extremely fast to act and compensate to any situation, so it's not too bad Yah this food court is ok am able to grab my coke and hotdogs in a flash. Parking is crazy here ALWAYS unless you come first thing in the morning. I recommend coming here by 8:30 to snag a good spot and might as well fill up your gas tank. It's either that or come when they're about to close because literally anytime in between the hours you will have a hard time finding a parking spot or driving and maneuvering around others safely. Besides the parking madness, the shopping inside here can be quite crowded too. There's a lot of good product and stock here so it makes sense why people come here. There's another Costco not too far from here at airport and it's much more spacious. Costco now scans your membership card at the entrance. You can't leave without spending over $100, or well I can't at least haha. There are still insanely great deals though. For example 24 pasture raised eggs for ~$8.69. Toddler clothes from Carter's brand is $12.99 for three pieces!! Another great deal is the avocado oil spray.. two pack and it's about $12. When considering a trip to get some healthy steps walking indoors as well as purchase gasoline for car, my astute cousin, read my mind and said "if you want to see a lot of "Asian things" you should go to the South San Francisco location. I often go to a Costco to get some healthy steps in, walking all the aisles and I was especially looking forward to this visit. South San Francisco Costco did not disappoint. Besides being able to fill gasoline and check tires in their self serve area, was wowed by the vast selection of treasures in warehouse. When I got inside I was impressed that their chilled protein section had roast duck! Not sure how good it could be and wasn't prepared to get any items needing refrigeration so had to pass on that. Then I got to the shelf life section and now I needed a wagon! Found my favorite Chi Forest soda combo with four flavors: lychee, white peach, grape and orange. At 16.99 for 24 cans makes that less than a dollar a can! Restaurants commonly selling @ $3 a can. Yep, one case in the cart. Had to get a case of the braised abalone in brown sauce. At only 26.99 for five cans ($5.40 a can) makes it a tasty and more than reasonable snack. Home sampling at its best. And then I saw the snack section from Hawaii taking a WHOLE row. Say what!?! I have been coming to this specific location for more than 15 years. I had a white guy at the door named Kyle racially profiled me and stoped me at the door for using my mom's card. I go there at least once a week. I was there 4 days ago, shopped and renewed the membership card and no one said anything. I also have never seen them stop anyone at the door before. Desmond (the manager) was also rude and did nothing to help. I understand if it's something new that they are enforcing but the delivery and the way the door guy handled it was unprofessional. We will be canceling the card asap. We spend hundreds of dollars there in a week. The door guy was very rude and sassy from the get go and had me waiting there for some time. Who doesn't love Costco? When they have sales, they have sales, lol. I feel Costco is the type of trip where you need patience for parking and time to not rush and look around. I think this year alone we have been here every week. One reason is eggs, and the other was the sale on spam. As a Filipino American, please believe I have no shame on saying my family not only likes to go here for our needs but for the door to door that gets sent to the Philippines. They always jump on the sales of spam, vitamins, vienna sausage, and the list goes on lol. My grandma used to love going here for the rotisserie chicken and the samples. She always had me do the math on items to see how cheap it really was. You can never go wrong with a hot dog or slice of pizza to end your journey of going up and down each aisle almost twice. I also highly recommend the double chocolate chunk cookie to reward yourself. Everyone needs their own cookie. I do not recommend sharing, lol. It's always chaotic here, and customer service with looking for something is a hit or miss. Hence, the reason for doubling back on an aisle you've already been to. When paying at the register, I feel those people are a little bit nicer and understanding. Some of the people that I've talked to, I often ask them how long you've been working here? The answer is always a minimum of 10 years, I feel. Leaving the store, where they check your receipt, is a hit or miss. Sometimes, you'll get that one person who accounts for each item on the receipt. Review for gas station experience: When I pulled up for gas yesterday around 7:30pm, I casually made my way over the speedbumps and pulled up to a pump. The experience was so stress free that it made me remember just how far this location had come from only having 2 pumps per side to now having 4 pumps per side, essentially doubling the volume of cars that can be serviced. This location is really clean and they do a good job at maintaing the pumps. Lines move fast because of the extra pumps so I can get in and out within 5 minutes or so. My only gripe about this Costco in general is that the two enterances and exits are one lane each so there can be traffic jams trying to get out of the parking lot. Gone are the days where I need to break into my rotisserie chicken or eat an apple while I wait in the gas line. Easy in, easy out - just the way it should be! read more

Busy Costco location. I recently came here and they expanded the gas station to four pumps, four island. I have not seen a long line to get gas. With the relocation of the gas station I have notice that the tire center has to be careful when bringing in cars in and out of the garage. Car coming from the gas station go through Tire Center. Parking is hard to find at this location. You have to drive around to find parking. I was able to find what I wanted from Costco. I did not have to find any help to locate anything. The last time I was at this Costco I don't think they had the self checkout. With the addition of the self check out I can pay and leave right away. The food court is still busy. It is impossible to find a table to sit down to eat your hot dog. I am giving Costco five star! Keep up the good work Costco! read more

Thursday 12/04/2025, saw that an item I bought on Wednesday 12/03/2025 was on sale from $159.99 to $99.99. I asked an employee at the membership desk and was instructed to look for a manager then get their name, so they can call. Spoke with manager Desmond which I asked If they do a price match which he replied with "No." I further explained the situation that I bought the item on the Costco website which used instacart to deliver same day delivery; he instructed me to buy the item now and return it using the receipt online. Looked up the policy while in line and I proceeded to the merchandise return line which I wasted 12-18 minutes if not more then when the employee was processing the return he questioned us if we bought these just now; which I replied with yes; then manager Desmond shows up again stating they don't price match instacart prices even though our receipt shows in store purchase. He proceeds to walk away not wanting to listen to us and the worker fixated kept repeating what the manager just told us. After getting humiliated in front of other guests we left. Called corporate, Jason, which he apologized that the manager was misinformed and was instructed that I can bring just the receipt for the price match and to tell the employees that I spoke with corporate customer service to solve the issue. Will be there later today, so we will see what happens next. Two supervisors seen at the customer service desk and Desmond was present; Desmond noticed it was I and left; supervisor Jason did an amazing job and helped with the price adjustment. Desmond has a thing or two to learn from Jason. read more

Costco has a new feature in its app that allows you to search what is currently in "your warehouse ". I discovered these flat disc type rice cakes in the San Francisco warehouse. I should have bought 2 but had to try them first. When I returned they were all out. The airport had them at $9.97 and this store had them at $5.97 but I paid 3.97 in SF. Airport then reduced them but I hate the 101. No matter where you are, it takes an hour to drive 8 mi. Anyway I have my rice cakes at $5.97. That search warehouse on the app is very handy. read more

The service at this El Camino location is the worst because it is under the management of Anissa (regional manager), Eddie (general manager) and other Store Managers. I've been using Costco for a long time, and after dealing with all those mentioned people I lost trust and loyalty. They really don't care about the customers and people who work with them. They are inconsiderate and rude. From the other comments, other customers feel the same way. Instead of being rude to the customer and wasting customer time, they should spend their time improving membership service and their products. Their products shelves look dirty and poor quality.
