Got extreme food poisoning from buying salmon from this location. This has been a terrible week of fever, chills, and a lot lot worse. It all started when I went to the frozen section and was surprised to find some of the salmon was not even frozen and at regular room temperature. But then I did see 2 packages that were frozen... and I made the huge mistake of thinking they were okay. WRONG. When I cooked one of the packages last Sunday evening... suddenly within 30 mins. I felt like I had a huge rock in my stomach. Things just went downhill from there. It has been 5 days of hell now although I hope tomorrow things get better as today there was a slight improvement. Anyways... if you get a chance to read this... NEVER buy seafood from this place. I will go as far as never buying anything I have to cook from Target. And I am NEVER going back to this one. I like this target location a lot it's better than stonestown and the other locations in San Francisco and the serramonte location. It's in a shopping center with plenty of parking and the store has recently been remodeled it's a lot nicer now. It kinda reminds me of the Novato location. The selections of outdoor and home goods are way better than sf locations! This is my go to location in Daly City/ Colma area! read more

Giving this target a low ranking due to their electronic staff members. My fiancé and I came to this location last night (12/19/2021) sometime around 5 or 6 pm. As we asked the staff (4 team members chatting) only one looked at his device and said that they no longer had the film we were searching for. As soon as he helped us, just began continuing chatting with the other staff members. After that my partner and I were pretty upset with the lack of service and searched the movie section and FOUND 10 copies of the movie. I wouldn't recommend coming to the electronic section of the store for any customer service. The customer service this Target is horrible. We waited 20 mins before anyone showed up to unlock a case for a sale item, even though there were many reps in the area. When we went to check out, cashier said it wasn't on sale even though there was a sign on the shelve that it was on sale. The cashier told us go back to the shelve to take a picture of the sales ticket to show. It's shocking how disinterested of employees were. A lot of Target employees were socializing at the check out counters. Do yourselves a favor, go to the Target at Serramonte. read more

I love a good remodel, but this Target has gotten a bit sad. Perhaps it is staffing issues, but the shelves are pretty barren in the evening. I don't know who designed this store, but putting the alcohol near an entrance with no loss security is a recipe for theft. Watched a guy load up his bags and leave. The door alarm beeped of course, but it isn't like anyone was there to notice. Really strange choice. Changing rooms are in a nice location now at the center of the store, but the floors were gross. The women's section of clothing is also smaller that it was before. They used to have a larger selection, now it's kind of mixed about. So, yeah, 1-2 stars if you want a Target to shop at, 5 stars if you're into theft. I'd like the old store back please. read more

I don't think I can shop at this Target anymore due to the remodel. I'll try again in a few months when they're 100% done (look to be 90% done), but what a mess. I say this as somebody who would also buy groceries here so if you only come for clothes or home stuff you should be good. While the shelves looked full-ish, the food selection has been cut in half missing brands and products, the frozen and refrigerated stuff is all in refrigerators with narrow aisleways and chalk written to label fridge contents, incorrect labels and prices on foods (e.g. Brussel sprouts are above the broccoli label and the broccoli is 2 feet away), many items had no pricing, and today I almost bought some pork chops that had expired yesterday. Thankfully I noticed at checkout and I can understand the sloppiness above but to sell expired meat at full price is a different story. They wouldn't have killed me I'm sure but I'm really disappointed in this store's quality, not what I associate with Target. Hopefully this is all temporary maybe the narrow fridge areas will go away but for the next few months, I'd recommend avoiding this location. The new Starbucks area is really nice and big though if you're a Starbucks person. read more

Hands down my favorite Target location in the area. No matter how busy it might seem on the outside, the inside of this Target is usually pretty chill. Everything is spread out nicely and you rarely bump into other people, especially if you're there in the weekday mornings and afternoons. Also, the parking lot is definitely not as crazy as the one in Serramonte and it's just a couple of minutes away (literally!). If you want to do some peaceful shopping, definitely come to this location. read more

Ok. I'm really happy to see that they put the second set of doors back in- I didn't like when they got rid of them years ago. But, this remodel/rearranging of the store makes zero sense. I stopped by today and went looking for women's clothing. It's the weirdest thing, as you walk along, there's what seems to be a woman's section, then what appears to be children's, but wait, now it's woman's again...? I felt so lost, I wound up leaving. If you are willing to wait 15+ minutes to get someone to open the baby formula case, this is your target. Every time I go there (for the past 6 months) it takes so long to get someone. Every person who passes by says "oh I don't have the key, let me call someone" and when they call someone, they never show up until I ask a few more people. It's a nightmare! I never understood how two Targets manage to survive in such close proximity, but boy do they both stay busy. This is a slightly smaller and older (mostly just from outside) version of the Target across 280. As far as I could tell, it was pretty 1:1 in terms of departments and merch. I mostly came for groceries (amazing how Target has changed over the years!) but perused some of the other sections, and they were well-stocked. Their home goods selection, in particular, was really nice! There's everything as you'd expect - including Starbucks and a CVS pharmacy. read more

One of the better Targets on this side of the Peninsula. This location is often overlooked by the more convenient ones that are mall anchors - the nearby Serramonte & Tanforan options, in addition to a smaller store concept at Westlake in Daly City. This location boasts an ample parking lot that shares with nearby businesses, which doesn't fill up & can easily snag a spot with a breeze. A stone's throw away from the Serramonte Boulevard exit, and up the street from El Camino Real (if you're coming from that way). After they remodeled & revamped this store with more contemporary "minimalist" designs & modern lighting, I feel that it's more vibrant and a smoother place to do your Target run & to get it done in a jiffy! The aisles are clean & orderly, displays are neat, items are always in stock & never seems to run out of the always popular household items, and the lines are also short at the cash registers! What more can you ask for a Target run? In addition, their store associates are approachable, and the regular clientele that shop here are quite friendlier than the shoppers in the neighboring Targets. Mad props to the Colma location. Highly recommended if you're in the immediate area, and only wanting to do a Target run. Nothing else. This location in Colma is perfect for you - as it's a lot better than the unparalleled nightmare of the Target that's connected to the always bustlin' Serramonte! read more

A one stop shop and our go-to whenever we're looking for clothes, school supplies, cold medicine, food/snacks, furniture or even a light bulb. Most of the time, prices are lower than other stores. Best to always compare prices among competitors. And if you sign up for a Target Red Card, you can donate a portion to a school of your choice, get 5% discount and free shipping with a $35 purchase. That's pretty good if you're buying a large purchase like a mattress or TV! Basically, you're paying 1/2 the tax. And you can always return anything at the store if you buy it online or find it online when they're out of stock at the store. That's the beauty of buying through Target.com. Don't wanna sound like I work for Target cuz I don't! But Target is one of the stores I shop at quite a bit and am usually happy with the purchases made here. No complaints from me! read more

Went to look for a size 8W sake in suede boots. Only sizes on the floor was a 9 which was too big and size 7 which was too small. I went to customer service to see if she could order it in a size 8 wide. She got flustered and couldn't do it. I got frustrated and went back to the floor again. Still I couldn't find a size 8 wide. I returned back to customer service and the male clerk used his phone and was able to order the boots in a size 8W. I can't understand why one clerk was able to order for me but the other couldn't, I was beside myself. Mgt needs to retrain their clerks better or us customers will get inconsistent service as I had. This is infuriating and a waste of my precious time when I could've had the order done 30 mins. earlier. Their customer service sucks! read more

What can you say about target they have a Starbucks so if you get tired of shopping around are you with someone who wants to shop shop shop go to Target they have free WiFi yes free wifi yay, sometimes I can't find a staff member to help you and sometimes you can. What you need to know is if you return something you don't have a receipt they give you the lesser amount which is kind of sucky because then they make money, and that is not fair so just remember always keep the receipt tape it on the box keep the box with you package that way you don't get charged a 15% restock fee if they do charge. read more

DO NOT BUY APPLE PRODUCTS FROM TARGET. The return window is less than 15 days. I purchased an Apple Watch SE for my sister from Target Colma on Christmas Eve. I did not open it nor gift it since I learned it did not have ECG or atrial fibrillation monitoring which she needed. Unfortunately, I did not have an opportunity to return it until today (21 days later) and the Guest Services Agent told me they could do nothing for me, and I'd have to go to the manufacturer. Why would Apple give me a refund or credit for a product not purchased from them? I have the receipt and it was purchased at this specific store. There is nothing wrong with the product. It's simply the wrong one. THEY WOULD NOT LET ME EXCHANGE IT OR EVEN OFFER A STORE CREDIT FOR AN UNOPENED PRODUCT WITH MY RECEIPT AND PURCHASED LESS THAN 21 DAYS AGO. This is an inconsiderate practice and I'd advise anyone buying a tech product - especially around the busy Christmas season - to avoid buying it from Target. In all fairness, I only spent three minutes in the boy's department which was so shockingly under-stocked that if you didn't like pants A-B-C or shirts 1-2-3 well then, you were out of luck my friend. I even asked a sales associate if there was another section I was missing and she seemed flustered, muttering, "There must be more...well, huh..." (now brushing through hangers displaying the sparse selection), "I guess not." Also factor in my foul mood after braving the City Target parking lot right off Bush (the smaller of the lots, the one closest to the main entrance). No arrows, every man for himself, being stuck behind cars that were locked in while other cars couldn't turn around them or back out and ... ...after so looking forward to this new City Target for many months, I left empty-handed and annoyed. I got a 55 inch LED TV from here. The deals seem pretty good during normal season as well. Compared to Walmart there seems to be more food and a greater a general variety of items. However Walmart does seem to be cheaper generally. Still, I find it to be very competitive and a good one stop shop. read more

Came here looking for school uniforms. Got what I am looking for and I'm happy. Pandemic enforcement: * 6 feet social distance is not enforced at this location. No 6 feet stickers on the floor and no line mark to keep people in-line at a distance or whatsoever. * Hand sanitizers are provided at the entrance and exit. * Sanitizing wipes are available for wiping down shopping cart, but it all ran out when I'm looking for one. Hence minus half star. * Bathroom is dirty and I'm not sure if it's safe and clean. Only air-dry is available, no paper towel. Minus half star. * All staffs wore masks, no gloves, no sanitizing between customers. * Fitting rooms are available, so far I can see three rooms available. However, it's quit messy inside as clothes are thrown everywhere. You can tell no staff is looking after the fitting room area and no sanitizing between each used. Overall, I would rate it 4 stars. It's not that bad, but we have to beware of our surrounding as 6 ft distance is not enforced. read more

Service was not top tier at all during my Black Friday experience. There was a Joylab jumpsuit I've been wanting that went out of season. I found one and when asked to check the price, it scanned at $0 and said they could not sell it because it's not ringing up in the system. The associate asked the TL manager Jennifer to accommodate this sale for purchase with the price amount on the tag and she completely refused. Things are well kept but management could use work. In a line of 30 people for returns/order pickup there was only one employee. The other retail stores I've been to have been handling the increased foot traffic a lot better. For example, they have separate lines for returns and another for order pickup. AND other stores know where to prioritize employees. Most of the employees here are working on restocking inventory. My favorite Target to come to. This is one Target where I like to come to because of it's size and selections of inventory. I love the lay out of this place because I know exactly where everything are at. So all I have to do is swoop in and get it and get out. I usually go during the weekdays and I can tell you that there are no lines to wait in. If you do have to wait in line it will only be for a few mins. This is one dept. store that has done something right to keep the customers coming back. Oh.... did I mention that there's Starbucks store inside there? After the remodel, this Target has gone downhill. This used to be the better Target in Daly City. I ordered some Dia de Muertos items to pick up later, and I get an email a few hours later saying that they have been picked up. I called the store because I had not even left my house, and the person hung up on me. I called back a couple more times and nobody was answering the phone. I go there in person, and the lady helping me, Rita, was very nice, understanding, and accommodating. She apologized profusely for the issues with whoever it was that hung up on me, and refunded me. She was pretty much alone with a long line at guest services, and she was very upbeat and helpful through the stress. Thank you, Rita, for being one of the few good employees at this location. read more
