We got many different food options for our large party. My favorite things were the brussels sprouts actually! Many of the dishes were pretty similar, definitely with similar ingredients incorporated into them. It tasted fresh and healthy although I did feel something was missing. To my surprise the artichoke did look like chicken wings which was different! Chicken and Lamb were tasty, not so much a fan of the rice that comes with those dishes. Even with that sauce I was looking for a bit more flavour, but definitely not a bad pick! Services was great! It is a pretty large restaurant and definitely crowded!

Eggplant Napoleon. $16. Alright. A bit bland

Short review- I prefer Ayat/Al Badawi for the mezze/small plates but this spot for the entrees and knafeh. I was at this Levant, or more specifically Palestinian restaurant with a moderately large group a couple months ago. The inside is nice and the spot overall is a little bit fancier than many other similar restaurants. The food was very tasty with a couple stand out dishes and a couple ones that were just okay with the entrees being better. They gave us some pickled vegetables/torshi as well as pita and za'atar chips where the pickles were a bit lighter spiced compared to some spots. To drink, I had their unsweetened Iced Hibiscus for $6 which was tart and refreshing and went well with the food. My favorite of the mezze was the Fried Cauliflower Steak for $20 listed as being breaded with panko & parmesan, covered with tahini, pomegranate molasses, and spicy harissa. The cauliflower is large and filling with some saltiness, a bit of heat, some sweetness, and some nuttiness with the texture being nice. It's not my favorite style of Levant style cauliflower (I think the Zahir at Ayat is better for instance) but it was still tasty and well worth the price with it being easily shareable as described. The Grape Leaves (or rather Warak Dawali) for $14 with rice, parsley, onions, and tomatoes were also solid. The grape leaves which were also topped with some pomegranate seeds and carrot were well stuffed and a bit warm and I appreciated that the texture of the grape leaves wasn't soggy compared to some spots. Also, the sourness was a bit more toned down compared to Al Badawi or others. These were excellent. Just alright was the Eggplant Napoleon for $16 consisting of layers of crispy breaded eggplant, baba, and a tomato-basil sauce. The eggplant was a bit overly fried and mostly was flavored by the tomato and basil with the baba being muted. My least favorite were the Makdous Peppers for $20 consisting of poblano and jalapeno peppers stuffed with walnuts, red pepper, and spicy harissa. The texture was nice with some crunch but I found it a bit pricey and the flavor was surprisingly bland with it being mostly dominated by the harissa. More successful were the entrees. My favorite was the Lamb Fetti for $32 with toasted pita, rice & vermicelli pilaf, shredded lamb, yogurt-tahini sauce & almonds which is also available with chicken for $28. Fetti, or rather more commonly spelled Fatteh, refers to the broken up pita on the bottom of this dish which adds texture and sops up the sauce. By comparison to other spots, the rice wasn't as dry, the meat was just as tender if not more, and the yogurt sauce was better flavored with a light sour kick. The almonds otherwise added crunch and the pilaf had a good texture. Also very tasty was the Lamb Shank Tagine for $42 with said lamb shank braised with olives, dried fruits, herbs, saffron, and spices with it being served with rice pilaf. The humorous thing to me is that it took this spot and not a Moroccan one to make a really good tagine. The lamb was cooked very nicely with there being some sweetness but it wasn't overpowering with the pickled cabbage and olives being a nice accompaniment. This was excellent as well. The Harissa Baked Chicken for around $27 or similar listed as boneless thighs with homemade spicy harissa, garlic, shallots, purple potatoes, green olives, dill & lemon and served with rice was also good. The chicken was tender and the harissa worked better here as the garlic and the rest of the herbs balanced it with dish almost having a bit of creaminess. Last but not least was the Sayadiyya for $34 listed as "the fisherman's meal" with rice sautéed with shredded porgy, caramelized onion, almonds & spices, and served with deboned fried porgy. The rice had plenty of flavor from spices being similar to ouzi minus the meat with the fish being well prepared. There was unfortunately some bones even though it was listed as boneless but overall, I liked this also. Our dessert was the Knafeh where a large order is $22 listed as their house specialty with crispy shredded filo dough layered with sweet cheese, baked until melted and golden brown then soaked in orange blossom syrup and pistachios. I have had knafeh/kunefe/kunafa in several places and this was the closest to my favorite place which is a Palestinian bakery in Paterson, NJ called Nablus Sweets. It wasn't overly sweetened, had just enough pistachio, the floral flavor wasn't too strong, and the cheese was well melted. I'd highly recommend this in short and I can see why others rave about it. I overall liked my meal here a lot. For mezze, there's some other spots I prefer but the entrees were excellent. Would go back to try their maklouba and other dishes. Ratings are well deserved even if I like Ayat a bit more.

This is certainly a trek from manhattan, but a worthy one to try Levantine food! First off, the interior is quite spacious with some booth seating and larger round tables. Our server was great, and he kindly explained to us the various dishes and what he recommended. We ordered the musakhan and mhammara - the mhammara is a cold dip that combines pomegranate seeds, molasses, roasted red pepper, and nuts. It was a very interesting combo. I preferred the musakhan, which was definitely more of a familiar pairing. It was this deliciously crispy flatbread with shredded chicken and onions on top. I love the sumac seasoning. Also to note, they provide pita and pickled beets, turnips, and cauliflower as an appetizer - this turned out to be some of the most flavorful things we ate the entire meal! For the mains, we shared the lamb shank maklobeh and Kusa bil Laban. The kusa bil Laban is baby squash stuffed with rice and filet mignon, sitting in a soup of tart cilantro garlic yogurt sauce. Very flavorful. The lamb shank was the standout dish, as it was tender on a bed of soft, sticky rice, eggplant, and cauliflower. The yogurt sauce paired with it was divine - I wish I could drench all the meat in that sauce! For dessert, we ordered the knafeh with cheese, which is prepared on spot. While I don't typically like the overly sweet knafeh, the pairing with the cheese made it a heavier but more palatable dessert. Service is on the slower side, but the fresh dishes are worth the wait. While this isn't my favorite cuisine, it's one I hadn't tried before and I'm glad I was able to try at Tanoreen. Come for the service and great value!

This is some of the best Levantine food in the city. It bills itself as Palestinian and makes some of my favorites! The staff is amazing and perhaps you'll want to take their recommendations if you can, because if you don't know what you're ordering there's a lot to choose from, but I have some strong suggestions. For sure get the Labneh, this is some of the best labneh in NYC. It reminds of the Labneh in Jerusalem. 100% get the musakhan. One of my favorite dishes, then put the labneh on top! This is a real win. Grape leaves lacked the flavor that I was looking for, they should be more tart or sour. They weren't bad, but they just didn't do it for me. Fetti is a must from an entree perspective - with the lamb it's perfect, and get all the dips. The harissa really transforms it, and is so good. The mixed grill is also quite good, and if you have enough people something I would get. You cannot leave this restaurant without getting the Kanafeh. I don't care how you spell it or say it, this is so well done here. Often times you'll see the cheese isn't pulling well, or the dish is soaked in too much rose sugar water, but in this case they do it perfectly! Cocktails are meh, but like come on, that's not why you're here. The ambiance is actually nice for a place out in Bay Ridge. It's clearly not ilili in Manhattan, but it's perfect for a family or date.

Visited Tanoreen at the Time Out Market and got the Chicken Kabob - colorful platter with a filling portion of rice pilaf and refreshing cucumber, tomato, cabbage salad. The chicken was a bit charred and dried but the flavors as a whole paired nicely together.

A truly mom and pop feeling space. This restaurant feels like a family and they treat their customers that way too! The food is amazing and the desert is to die for!

Eggplant Salad

MEHHH Have had better - small portions for cost, Paid extra for the sauces - should be given as part of the meal, garlic sauce was not good.

price - $120 including tax and tip food - 5/5 service - 5/5 ambiance - 5/5 all the foods were so yummy!!! i ordered the vegetarian grape leaves, falafel, chicken fetti, lamb shank and knafeh. the grape leaves were so flavorful and if you add the lemon on top, it creates such a nice mix with the leaves themselves. the falafels were crispy on the outside but moist on the outside! the sauce was such a nice add on to the falafel. the lamb shank was amazing!! all the meat just fell right off the bone. it was crazy!!! the chicken fetti was just as expected! tender chicken and flavorful rice mixed with all the delicate veggies!! the knafeh was what surprised me the most. i never expected that sweet crispy cheese could taste so amazing!!!! all the foods were to die for!!! the service was on top!!! my waiter was so nice and he kept checking up on us!! he gave us numerous recommendations cause we were first timers but still amazing service! the ambiance was amazing as well! i love how the interior design was nice and cozy but also filled with romantic vibes!!! this is a perfect place to bring your date or even your family members!!! i highly recommend you check this place out!

Often said to be the best Lebanese food in Brooklyn, and it might be! One of the best table cloth and sit down meals in Bay Ridge. The food is delicious, the prices are a little high but the ambiance and service is exceptional. The small plates were great and would recommend trying 1-2 small plates per person and splitting a large entree. Food: 5/5 Ambiance: 5/5 Service: 4/5 Value: 3/5

Service 5.0 Stars Ambiance 5.0 Stars Drinks 2.5 Stars Meat grape leaves 3.0 Stars Upside down lamb and vegetables 5.0 Stars Combo kebab 4.0 Stars Overall 4.5 Stars We had a very nice experience dining here. The service was excellent--Omar, our waiter, was especially attentive and knowledgeable. The ambiance was warm and inviting, with beautifully designed plates that reflected the culture. We started with a glass of Rosé, which was just average, and a Ginger Beer that tasted a bit diluted. For our appetizer, we had the meat-filled grape leaves, which were good. The highlight of the meal was Makloobeh--a traditional Palestinian dish of lamb and vegetables served upside down--recommended by Omar. It was incredibly tender and full of rich, comforting flavors. The dish was complemented with the most delicious garlic sauce. We also tried the combo kebab, and every cut of meat was also tender. We'll definitely be back!

Authentic Palestinian restaurant with really traditional food, like the one you will eat at a home. Service is super nice, vibes are fancy yet low key in an old BKLN style maintained restaurant. Prices are a bit high, but it is not a quick bite place anyways. The appetizers are great with special herbs. The halloomy zatar pie is one of a kind for its mix of herbs.

I had a truly pleasant dining experience. The ambiance was romantic and seating comfortable. The knafeh is freshly made, and takes time, so order it at the beginning of your meal. This dessert is what brought me back to this restaurant. The whole meal was fresh and flavorful. The portions were filling. I recommend giving it a try if you are in the area.

Sat down thinking I'd do something light and ended up going all in. Ordered their Moroccan eggs with spicy tomato sauce and a side of their famous challah French toast. The eggs came out bubbling hot, perfectly spiced, with that slow-simmered depth that tastes like someone's been making it the same way for years. The bread they serve with it is dangerous... I kept telling myself "last bite" and then immediately going back in. But the French toast was the real moment. Crispy edges, soft inside, not overly eggy, and just the right amount of sweetness. I didn't even use syrup for half of it. Also grabbed a mint tea which felt like the perfect reset in between bites. Service was relaxed but attentive, and the whole place has this warm, slightly chaotic brunch energy that somehow works. The new space is beautiful and open and airy, but sadly the service has dipped. This place used to be almost too fast, we were in and out and we consistently knew we could come here and get out in a very timely manner. We ordered both a red and a white for the table, and I was especially drawn to the red, as the red was served chilled, light-bodied, and very enjoyable. Nearly all of the reds and whites on the menu are from Lebanon, with just one red from Morocco, plus a couple sparkling options from Lebanon as well. We started with several dips for the table: hummus, baba ghannouj, and muhammara. The hummus was incredibly smooth, and the muhammara was especially flavorful with large pieces of walnut throughout. Everyone at the table receives fresh pita, and we ended up ordering a few more to share. We also shared the Brussels sprouts and the snap peas. The Brussels sprouts were rich and flavorful, but the snap peas really stood out. They were unlike anything I have tasted before, intensely mint, served with garlic mint labneh, and very delicious. For mains, we focused on lamb: two orders of the lamb ribs, two orders of the kafta, and two orders of the sfeeha. We probably over-ordered by about one entrée, but otherwise it was the right amount of food for six people. The lamb ribs were phenomenal, fall-off-the-bone tender and packed with flavor. The lamb pies were also very good and came with a delicious dipping sauce. The kafta was good, though not quite as memorable as the other lamb dishes, but still very satisfying. Service was attentive throughout the meal, and despite the number of dishes on the table, the staff handled everything smoothly. The table got a little crowded at times, but it was manageable.
