    Arabi Meat Shawarma
    Donna Z.

I came here on their 3rd day of being opened to try it out. I'm being lenient on my scoring as they are brand new and still working out kinks. We ordered the Arabi Meat Platter and the Meat Kofta Platter and they were both delicious. The Meat Kofta ($16) came with 2 pieces of meat, 2 peppers, 1 grilled tomato and either your choice of rice or fries. The Arabi Meat Platter ($14) consisted of meat and peppers with a side of fries. This was a good amount of food. The fries were perfectly cooked and everything was seasoned well. They also give you a plate of apps with the meal which included bread with 2 dips, pickles, and small salad. While the food was delicious, they are working out kinks in the service. We waited 45 minutes for the food. People who ordered after us got their food before us. At first we were handed the wrong food order as well so check to make sure your order is correct if you're taking out which we did. There is some seating inside but not much and a little too cramped. It was also too warm inside so I had to take a breath outside. Their food was good and I would give them a second chance when if I'm in the area.

Having been in the area once or twice a year I often look for a place to eat to avoid the dreaded rush hour 530 pm traffic - Maqluba was recommended by my hair stylist and I walked three blocks to have a bite and check them out. Several tables are set up and it was pretty empty at 540pm. Turns out, it was Ramadan and I was not completely aware of that. By 6 pm several tables had patrons as they prepared to break their fast. Spoke to a lovely woman who was meeting her son about the fasting daily and what it is like. I felt welcome and enjoyed the food a lot. The portions were big and the prices are good.

A 10/10 dining experience, highly recommend eating at the restaurant as the presentation of the dishes is ideal on plates vs packaging to go. The M'sakhan is divine, from the taboon bread layer over the dish to the delicious chicken and flavorful rice that had an abundance of different ingredients. Their Babaghanoush is perfect, smokey and flavorful. Their Fattoush salad is served in a unique bread bowl, a fusion of Lebanese and Palestinian spices and ingredients. And the staff is amazingly gracious and eager to talk through their favorites on the menu, which items come from family recipes and country's of influence.

Mixed Grill 2/3, Arabi Chicken Shawarma, Mixed Apettizer, Falafel (4 pcs), Fresh Pita, French Fries Large

Ordered Mix grill for 3, shawarma and the mixed appetizer as well as the half and half manakish plus some falafel. Everything was delicious, my mom insisted on calling the store and thanking them because the flavor profile so closely matched home cooking. Prices are very fair, this will be a go to middle eastern restaurant for us. Must try

When I got home and opened up my food and saw my sandwich with those fries , I knew the trek was worth it . I'll say this was some of the best middle eastern food I've ever had . Easily top 3 . The fries were really well seasoned and I had a really difficult time stopping before I even touched my sandwich . The Arabi chicken kebab sandwich was full of flavor and you can really taste the love and care they put into their dishes . The sandwich had console greens , cucumber, tomato and what appeared to be , garlic sauce . After adding the cole slaw that comes with the meal, the sandwich went to another stratosphere . High quality ingredients , executive chef like execution and most importantly, love created this food . You literally can feel the care and meticulousness they dedicate to their creations . I also got a side of falafel (very nicely priced ). When I got home, I noticed they threw in two additional pieces! I suspect it was because they felt bad that I had to wait 25 + mins for my take out order ? The cook also warmly thanked me ,as I was walking out and that really felt good as I was starting to feel annoyed with the wait time. In hindsight , I'd gladly wait an hour for this kind of food !

They offer a variety of coffees, teas, cold drinks, sandwiches, toasts, salads, small bites, pastries, and brunch items (weekends only). We tried the shakshuka and lamb haneeth sandwich. Both were delicious, and I would recommend them both. The shakshuka is served with two slices of crispy and fresh toast. The shakshuka is served warm with three eggs topped with goat cheese. The lamb sandwich was very flavorful and served on crispy toasted bread with French fries. I can't wait to go back and try all of their other items. I would also recommend their orange blossom lemonade. It's very aromatic with a hint of sweetness. Service: Staff are so pleasant and welcoming. There is a server who brings you your food and clears your empty dishes after eating. Ambiance: The cafe is not big, but they have a good number of tables in the front and back of the cafe. This place has been around for like 20 years I think and I've been wanting to try it. Did not disappoint! Soon as you walk in, you're greeted-- could be by manager, server or even a patron!-- and welcomed to sit wherever you'd like (IF space is available). Menus are brought to you and you're promptly served a large flat bread, their signify soup (which I thought was lentil, but I may be wrong) and some salsa. And a couple lemon wedges. Pro-tip: eat with an open heart - squeeze the lemon in the soup to brighten it up, go ahead and dip the pita in the salsa, drink the soup right out of the bowl-- there aren't the "rules" of traditional western dining here. We ordered the chicken haneeth but asked for no rice, shish kabob, hummus and babaghanoush. The chicken was perfect- flavorful, not too tangy, and the meat was tender. By itself, I enjoyed the hummus more (between the two dips) but once we started eating with the entrees, I thought the babaganoush really came to life. We also squeezed some lemon on the dips to brighten them up. Yemeni hummus is more tahini-rich than some other variations, which I finds benefits from some lemon splash. Of course they gave us more pita when our mains arrived :) The manager was a really nice man! We felt welcomed and our business valued-- really was one of my favorite things about the restaurant. You can grab some traditional sweet tea at the counter after your meal.

I honestly could have eaten multiple orders of it as my entire meal, though that probably wouldn't have been the most balanced choice. It was rich, slightly sweet, full of flavor, and perfect with the pita. The spicy kefta mashawy and mixed shawarma platter were also excellent, with tender, well-seasoned meat across the board. One thing to note: the portions are larger than they make them sound. We were told certain dishes were meant for one person, but the shawarma platter could easily feed two, so we ended up over-ordering a bit.
