Talina is a newer spot in Babylon that has very quickly earned a place in our hearts--and honestly, it's easy to see why. The space is adorable. Warm, cozy, and full of charm, with thoughtful details everywhere (including rolling pins hanging from the ceiling, which I loved). It immediately sets the tone for a fun, relaxed night out. We went with friends and had such a great experience from start to finish. I kicked things off with a classic espresso martini, while my husband went with a mule--both were perfectly made and a great way to start the night. For appetizers, we went all in and ordered one of each of the Piadina Romana's plus a medium meat board--and this is where Talina really shines. Every single item was cooked to perfection and incredibly flavorful. The sausage, baby lamb chops, pork ribs, and vegetable gratin were all standout in their own way. I kept trying to pick a favorite and just couldn't--everything was that good. The staff deserves a shoutout too--they were genuinely friendly, attentive, and had great personalities that made the whole experience feel even more special. For dinner, I ordered the Strozzapreti Gratinati and my husband got the Mezzelune al Tartufo. We shared (obviously), and both dishes were phenomenal. Rich, comforting, and packed with flavor--and the fact that all of the pasta is homemade really takes it to another level. We definitely ordered a lot of food... but somehow left with zero leftovers because it was just too good to stop eating. We wanted to try dessert, but we were completely tapped out. Safe to say we'll absolutely be back--and already have plans to return with more friends. Pro tip: Come hungry and plan to share--the meat board and multiple pastas are the move. Food was delicious, you can really tell it's hand made pasta. The flatbread was quesadilla style and was also very good. The service was quick and good, but we did not love how close the tables are to each other and how loud it gets. You can hear your neighbors full conversation. Finally was able to get a reservation last evening at Talina Osteria Everything we had was outstanding. The pasta is all homemade and I was blown away by the dishes. Went overboard with the ordering since I wanted to try a lot of the pasta dishes. I was recommended to come try Talina in Babylon. I made reservations for my cousin and I in advance and glad we did. When we walked in there was a name tag on our reserved table which was nice. Place is not that large but makes it feel like a cozy place in Italy. Drinks we did an aperol spritz and the movala martini. We started with the crostini appetizer - delicious. Came in on a Friday night without reservations and luckily there were seats available at the bar. The place is small and intimate. The added plus about this place is that they have a small parking lot in the back - since it does get quite difficult to find street parking in the village. We ordered the Nud flatbread, Eggplant, Tomato and Onion gratin, tagliatelle ragu and strozzapreti gratinati pasta. The Nud flatbread almost reminded me of a quesadilla which was a bit weird but it was still good. The pasta was definitely the star of the meal. You can taste how fresh and homemade the pasta is. This place is a hidden gem in Babylon! It's north of the rest of the restaurants so unless you can get a spot in the small lot behind it, parking is horrific but the food was absolutely phenomenal and so were the drinks! I had the mo va la and then the two specials for the week-the cucumber sangria and amaretto espresso martini. The first two were very light and refreshing-great for a hot summer day-despite it being cold and raining when I went. My friends and I split all the food so we got the mortadella piadina, 3 pastas-lemon ravioli, pasta with ragu & the pasta with spinach, then the rosemary potatoes and zucchini. Dessert was the hazelnut gelato. Every dish was better than the next and you can tell everything was fresh. I would get everything again except maybe the potatoes. They did nothing for me. It's so different and so many things to look at. The bar was a great size. We only had to wait a few minutes for our reservation so we ordered some drinks at the bar.
