THE best, freshest homemade pasta in a variety of delicious sauces. Outstanding service and amazing handcrafted cocktails. Gluten free options available. A warm and cozy setting. Make reservations and enjoy!

Living locally over in West Islip, I was a once-a-week regular at Talina Osteria and frequently recommended it to friends. Unfortunately, after the terrible customer service my wife and her group experienced during their 5:00 PM dinner today, we will absolutely not be returning. The staff was incredibly rude and repeatedly rushed the group, harassing them about a strict 1 hour and 45-minute table limit. What makes this completely illogical is that there were at least five open tables in the dining room at the time. Instead of letting paying customers relax, enjoy their evening, and spend more money on drinks, management actively chose to push them out the door. To make matters worse, when my wife respectfully approached the owner to explain that we are loyal weekly customers and felt the staff was being hostile, he was entirely dismissive and couldn't have cared less. It is amazing that an owner would rather throw out regulars than fill empty tables. Extremely disappointing experience--save your money and go somewhere that actually values its patrons.

I will always look forward to visiting Talina! The ambiance is so nice - authentic Italian feel. Nice and friendly service. But the food is always the highlight - FRESH and delicious pasta every time. You can absolutely tell the difference between the pasta here and anywhere else. I can't wait to go back!

Went last night with reservations. The place is decorated beautifully and colorful but is quite small. Our server, Ilia, was great. Everyone kept coming around to clear plates and fill our glasses. We all started with margaritas that were more strong than flavorful but some people like their cocktails like that. The menu is not crazy extensive but more than enough choices. We started with artichokes, a big salad and a meat and cheese board. The articles were great. Others just okay. Wish they offered more appetizers. All the pastas we ordered were just amazing! Cappuccinos and desserts were good. Would come back to try more dishes.

First time visiting after wanting to try this place for a while. There were no reservations available online, but I called and they had seats at the bar. My husband is a big pasta lover, especially housemade pasta, and he chose the Garganelli al Salmone. My personal favorite was the cheese board the sliced turkey with onion jam was absolutely delicious. The ambiance is perfect for a date night. As a vegetable lover, the eggplant, tomato, and onion gratin was also a must-try absolutely perfect. Can't wait to come back and try more fresh pasta options.

I was so excited to finally try this place and it did not disappoint! It is beautiful and cozy inside. Service was great and food was delicious. I can't wait to back and try other menu items!

Great spot in Babylon with homemade pastas! Cozy inside with limited seating - reservations are a must. Service was so friendly and engaging. The braised bean appetizer was surprisingly delicious. We ordered two pastas - the half moons in truffle butter (decadent) and hand rolled pasta twists with sausage ragu (delightful). We also had the small meat board which was a great assortment of options. Definitely over ordered for two people, but who doesn't like leftovers?! My only knock on them - they don't offer bread for the table gratis - and that's a sin with sauces this good! This place is a must try!

It's always a pleasure to find a restaurant where the food is truly made with love--and this authentic Italian gem stands out like no other. Our first visit was for my husband's birthday, and we all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. This time, I came with a girlfriend for a relaxing evening of pasta and wine. The ravioli, new on the menu, was a delightful surprise--handmade and filled with ricotta and spinach, served in a light butter and lemon sauce. Perfect for summertime! I had my absolute favorite dish: fresh pasta with sausage and tomatoes. It's always outstanding. To finish, we shared the fresh pear with gelato--a simple, elegant, and perfect ending to a wonderful meal. Highly recommend this place for anyone who loves genuine Italian food and a cozy atmosphere!

I was recommended to come try Talina in Babylon. I made reservations for my cousin and I in advance and glad we did. When we walked in there was a name tag on our reserved table which was nice. Place is not that large but makes it feel like a cozy place in Italy. Drinks we did an aperol spritz and the movala martini. We started with the crostini appetizer - delicious. Entrees we shared the gnocchi and strozzapretti gratinati - AMAZING. Dessert we shared the apple cake. Espresso martini was very strong espresso but still good. We will definitely be back!

Finally was able to get a reservation last evening at Talina Osteria Everything we had was outstanding. The pasta is all homemade and I was blown away by the dishes. Went overboard with the ordering since I wanted to try a lot of the pasta dishes. We ordered the Gnocchi Taleggio Radicchio E Rucola which were incredible pillow, soft , potato gnocchi in a cheese sauce, sautéed radicchio and arugula. We also ordered the Strozzapreti Gratinati -Hand rolled pasta twists with sausage ragu , arugula and toasted bread crumbs. Last pasta dish was the Mezzelune Al Tartufo. The half moon ravioli filled with meat and chicken , ricotta, Parmigiano Reggiano, truffle butter. Run don't walk to Talina in Babylon the desserts are just as incredible as the entrees -- eating dinner at Talina Osteria Romagnola .

The second time visiting the AMAZING Brittany at Talina for the Freshest, most authentic italian cusinie! Ive been waiting all month to come back here for my moms early birthday dinner and it was a magical experience! She took the best care for us! The atmosphere was identical to how I remember on my trip to Italy! So welcoming, warm, and true to the culture! We started with the apps: eggplant & tomato gratin.. the tomato was so fresh, sweet and the best eggplant ive ever had.. topped with a simple breadcrumbs The Piadinas were probably my FAVORITE that ive be so excited to try! Especially the Nud: prosciutto cotto fontina cheese and mushroom spread .. this was my favorite on the apps menu that id have for myself as a meal! After sharing the delicious apps my mom and I shared our favorite pasta. Strozzapreti Gratinati that Brittany hand rolls herself with sausage rags, arugala and light breadcrumbs topping! Ended the meal with dessert to celebrate my moms bday, the apricot crostata and pear desserts were our favorite! Sweet plum pear and fresh apricot tart! Thank you so much for making the celebration so special! Brittany and pietro, thank you so much for offering your talent and giving the community the truest italian experience From service, ambiance, kind waitstaff, to every part of the meal was Perfection!!! and im so happy to have the honor of sharing the meal & service by you! AGAIN, you guys set the bar high....I will forever recommend your establishment and highly rate Talina as the best italian restaurant on Long Island!

If you haven't been to Talina in Babylon, NY yet, you're missing out. The food was absolutely amazing as always and the ambiance truly makes you feel like you've stepped right into Italy. Chef Brittany does it again, consistently serving up delicious dishes that keep us coming back. They just celebrated their one-year anniversary, and the success is well-deserved. My husband had the gnocchi, while I went with the hand-rolled pasta twists topped with a sausage ragu. Perfection. We also enjoyed the Grigliatta Mista, which is always my favorite. We were celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary and capped the night with stewed pears and vanilla gelato, followed by smooth espresso martinis. They wrote an Anniversary wish to us in chocolate syrup!! Loved that! Special shoutout to Chris, our waiter. He was funny, personable, and very knowledgeable about the menu. Service was just as excellent as the food. If you haven't been to Talina Babylon NY, do yourself a favor and get there soon. Your stomach will thank you. Dana Varricchio, Long Island Realtor

So glad I went here, I heard amazing things so had to come check it out. What a wonderful experience. The food is top notch and everything is made from scratch with love. The drinks are tasty and presented beautifully. The servers were very nice and didn't rush us through our courses. The place itself is small and parking can be rough so give yourself a few extra minutes for that. Everything we ate was delicious and I can't wait to go back with more people and try some different items. Well done Talina

We ordered the Captain Corn & The Swine French Toast and Noemi's Pupusas Clásicas. Both were excellent, but the French toast was a standout. Not overly sweet, the cinnamon paired incredibly well with the pork and the cornbread, and the kernels of corn baked in were a nice touch. Love to see a creative menu like this. Food took about 30 minutes to come out, and we were literally the only ones in the place. My wife had digestion issues after eating. Also, the coffee cups are very small. We needed about 3 refills instead of 1 which we would normally get. Service 4/5. Our server was attentive, friendly, walked us through the menu without being pushy. He checked on us. Ambiance 2/5. Cozy spot, good music playing. But the chairs are metal with zero cushion, and there's a bar across the back of the chair that digs right into your back if you lean back at all, so you end up sitting forward the whole meal. First floor flooring looked dated too. Cleanliness 3/5. Floor on the first level wasn't that clean. Given the digestion issues afterward, makes you wonder what's going on back in the kitchen. Bathroom was fine though, passed a quick swipe test. Parking 3/5. There's lots nearby but it's a bit of a walk, and you cross a street that gets busy. Street parking exists if you can find a meter. Value 2/5. $50 with tip for two people. For the wait, the stomach issues, and those chairs, that felt like too much. Overall 2/5. Service was solid but it couldn't make up for the food problems and how uncomfortable the seating was. Not going back.

It was that good. The wedding ceremony took place outside, where rows of chairs were set up and we all had gorgeous waterfront views. After the ceremony, we walked into the building's first floor for the cocktail hour. Simply put, the food was amazing. The cocktail hour alone could have served as a meal. There was a big central charcuterie station of cold appetizers - think meats, cheeses, fruits, and crudities. The four corners of the room each housed a food station - a carving station, sushi/sashimi, pasta, and Asian stir fry. Oh, and there were tons of butler service passed hors oeuvres too. Next, we walked upstairs to the large ballroom for the main meal. Dinner service started with a "Burrata Caprese" salad with a big hunk of creamy mozzarella served in a dressed salad with grilled bread. As for the dinner entrees, would you believe a choice of SEVEN entrees?? I kid you not -- seven entrees - Branzino, chicken, pork, beef, shrimp, Surf and Turf, and eggplant. My table had just about all of the choices, and everything disappeared. After the meal, there was an apple tart with ice cream and wedding cake. All of the people I interacted with, the hosts, the bartenders, the servers and the clearers were super polite and friendly. When I think about the decor, the scenery, the food, and the service, this was a top-notch experience, Well done, Piermont.
