"I see her on the freeway Long Island Expressway Hey, give me a break, baby Help me get out of this rain" (Rolling Stones) I just attended a wedding here, and I honestly can't imagine any aspect of the experience that could have been improved. It was that good. The wedding ceremony took place outside, where rows of chairs were set up and we all had gorgeous waterfront views. After the ceremony, we walked into the building's first floor for the cocktail hour. Simply put, the food was amazing. The cocktail hour alone could have served as a meal. There was a big central charcuterie station of cold appetizers - think meats, cheeses, fruits, and crudities. The four corners of the room each housed a food station - a carving station, sushi/sashimi, pasta, and Asian stir fry. Oh, and there were tons of butler service passed hors oeuvres too. Next, we walked upstairs to the large ballroom for the main meal. Dinner service started with a "Burrata Caprese" salad with a big hunk of creamy mozzarella served in a dressed salad with grilled bread. As for the dinner entrees, would you believe a choice of SEVEN entrees?? I kid you not -- seven entrees - Branzino, chicken, pork, beef, shrimp, Surf and Turf, and eggplant. My table had just about all of the choices, and everything disappeared. After the meal, there was an apple tart with ice cream and wedding cake. All of the people I interacted with, the hosts, the bartenders, the servers and the clearers were super polite and friendly. I just recently attended a reception here over the weekend. It was AMAZING. From the views, to the service, to the food. All of it exceeded my expectations of a New York wedding. When we arrived we enjoyed specialists drinks, appetizers, and a solo musician on the main floor. There were so many different and fun small plates constantly passed around from mini fish tacos, crab crakes, bruschetta, to fried ravioli. They had hot carving stations and a pasta bar. We were then moved upstairs for the main reception event and dinner. It was a huge wedding party and all of the guests fit comfortably. The decorations were perfection and all of the servers and bartenders were attentive and nice. It was a blast and the staff at Piermont helped make it a success. The Piermont in Babylon NY by - the Pier "Overlooking the great South Bay" has lovely views from their windows and grounds. There's quite alot to review here so, read on. There are in the distant view , a few bridges. They have two floors for events and the lower level is more for the help area. They have been there since 2017. The décor outside has nite lights and a holiday wreath. ( see pix) When I visited there I saw young couples checking the place out for possible events. Lovely Victoria greeted at the front desk and also helps in the coat room. The ladies room was clean and pretty. The Town of Oysterbay Sr. luncheon with visits ( and yes singing performance by Supervision Saladino ) and staff, was a fun event with live band by John Walters and Metro Music. They played a variety of songs from many venues including Line dances With many dancers lead by the wonderful instructor Fran, the Lindy, Twist, YMCA, and more. Thus having the dance floor continuously full. Wow These People Can Dance!!! Dina was all energy as well, One adorable young lady in overalls truly dressed the part for Christmas spirit. .(see pix) The short rib , veggies, fruit and dessert were tasty and of plenty. I had a charming efficient waiter named Josias. There were a few vendors there ( see pix) Mr. Ari Goldblatt of Boomer Productions in Marketing was very informative. This event , included bus transport from the town. I felt safe and comfortable with driver Jimmy as the bus stopped at our local spot and went directly to the restaurant. Gotta say I am extremely unpleased, staff was nice it being on the water very nice. But the food, oh god the food made my great grandfather roll in his grave, you call that Italian cuisine, I'd make it better blindfolded and my hands tied. Disgraceful, and frankly embarrassing. Beautiful from beginning to end. The Piermont is a hidden gem located on the waterfront. They have valet parking and a polite staff. I arrived for an indoor wedding, and upon entering the building, a coat check is located on the right. The staff was extremely helpful and catered to everyone's needs. The variety of food catered was extensive and elegantly coordinated. There was a bar located on the left when entering the cocktail room that later transferred to the reception room. The cocktail hour included a: -chef carving meat station that included potatoes and spinach -Italian station- lobster pasta I'm a white sauce and tomato penne pasta - Mexican station- Tacos, black beans,chicken, beef, guacamole, margaritas - fruit station - vegetable station Servers walking around to give guests drinks and food not served at the stationary food stations. When entering the reception area, the room was beautifully decorated. Dinner included a choice of branzino, steak, shrimp, surf and turf, chicken, etc. I enjoyed my branzino order and my server was amazing. The bride and groom also have a personal server to make sure their glasses remain full. The bartenders were extremely nice and fun when interacting with the crowd while remaining professional. What a flawless wedding! My daughter selected the Piermont for her wedding venue because of the waterfront location but the real beauty of this venue lies in the execution of our event. The staff anticipated our guests every need. As the parents of the bride, we were treated royally, to say the least. I can't say enough about our matre'd Luis. We're so grateful for all he did to make our day special but the ENTIRE staff was on point throughout the day. We receive many complements and not a single negative comment. Several of our guests are in the hospitality industry and we're especially impressed. Many ( including my wife and I) commented that this was one of the best weddings they had ever attended. The food was extraordinary and meticulously prepared and served. The menu offered to our guests was unique both in variety and preparation. I was I. The upstairs room for a retirement party. The room had wrap around windows allowing a lot of light in. It was a smaller room probably only comfortable for 100 people. There was a door off the room that brought you to a outside deck. The staff was very friendly. I called ahead to let them know about my gluten allergy. We only wanted outdoor dining due to covid 19. This restaurant, which is housed in the Piermont catering hall, is amazing! Sorry to say I had not heard of it prior , but since other outdoor places has no vacancy I researched and found DRIFT. The outdoor seating is right on the water and any closer, you would be IN the Great South Bay! Tables are separated and there is a firs time bottle of hand sanitizer on every table. Wait staff all wear masks. Food was delicious and presented well. Ceased salad was very good but portion could be larger. Service was excellent and pleasant . Def a place for a special occasion . We will definitely return . It's a beautiful place with a beautiful view/ setting and great food read more

The place has a great location, went there for a wedding over the weekend. But there was so many things that bothered me that I never encountered at a wedding 1- got there nobody at the front desk to point us where to go 2- cocktail hour- when it was almost over the workers started to break down stations and tables and chairs WHILE guest are still inside, even before the announcement to go upstairs 3- bar upstairs was not ready for guest when they opened up the bar 4- the vent above me was leaking water drops on to the table, luckily the seat next to was open 5- staff didn't smile much except the one female bartender read more

I've been to 2 weddings here now and it's just been mediocre. They both had an outside ceremony where there were at least one light bulb out of the string of lights hanging over the ceremony. Not a big thing but if you're paying thousands for a ceremony/reception, these little things should be corrected. Cocktail hour food is okay. Some food was bland and the tacos both times would just fall sort while you're eating them. The calamari was soggy and the mashed potato bar was lacking toppings. Both times now at the dinner there have been at least one chair that was wobbly. First wedding there were 2 at the table I was at and this past one there was one at my table. The first wedding had some steak cooked improperly and this past one numerous steaks were cooked wrong. Also one of the guests had under cooked chicken. The wait staff was okay but they're very young and not welcoming at all. I would not have a wedding reception that costs thousands of dollars here read more

We were there for an afternoon wedding. Overall we we're impressed. The view over the water can't be beat. The venue was not as ornate as some other wedding places but the view makes up for it. The reception area was very nice. There was a variety of food including a taco station, carving station, and Asian station. Wait staff walked around with trays of food that we're quite good as well. The interesting thing was they had signature drinks. I had the honey badger which was like drinking candy fire but not in a bad way, super sweet but goes down burning. Dinner was where it was weak. The salad with poached pear was unique. The main entree was meh. I got the land and sea which was steak and shrimp. The breading on the shrimp was soggy and the steak was pretty small. The sides of mash potatoes and vegetables we're disappointing. Dessert was good. The chocolate crepe was good. The pasteries served by the wait staff were ok. We just had our wedding here on Saturday, July 31 Don't walk, RUN THERE! we got engaged during COVID so we knew there was a possibility of being impacted by restrictions. Brittany kept us super informed along the way and helped us make decisions. We never had to change our original plan or date. Brittany accomodated us and worked with us on the price when we had almost a 50 percent decline rate and several last minute cancellations. The amount that The Piermont offers with atmosphere, food, and preferred vendors is incredible ... you can really customize it well to meet your style and vibe. Our guests couldn't stop raving about the view and ambiance of the venue. The maitre'd and bridal attendant were fabulous additions - so sweet and always made sure we had food and drinks all night. read more

The Piermont is beautiful scenery, and ambience that is unmatched in the area. The service is outstanding, accommodating and friendly. The Food however is a disappointment. The calamari appetizer is rubbery, the burrata peach and arugula salad is below standard. The grilled peaches were not even ripe! The burgers are adequate, The salmon was overcooked and covered in sweet sauce. This restaurant serves catering hall food. If you don't mind the below average food, the view of the ocean is the reason to go there for drinks. A $200 bill for a party of 4 should have been amazing, it was a disappointment to me. read more

Holy crap. I got married here in October, and it was truly spectacular. Everything from booking to follow-ups to planning to execution was excellent. We got an incredible price through Bob Kniesel, who was wonderful throughout the experience. It definitely helps that we very much knew exactly what we wanted, and they supplied it all. Every time we spoke with him he had good news that a food option was improving or that the ballroom was renovated and the pricing didn't change (I know it can't change after signing the contract, but still a great thing). Once the day itself came it was amazing. Everybody was raving about the beautiful ballroom, the incredible food, and more! I know that everyone pretty much has to be nice to you when talking about your wedding to you, so I went with repetition to be my guide, and I kept hearing about how great the venue was. The bridal attendant and maitre'd were also great, and brought us food and drinks in the bridal suite before we hit the ballroom, so we didn't end up being one of those couples that tell everyone "you don't get to eat at your own wedding." We ate a lot, and it was all great. Plus, since we had some no-shows on the day, we asked the bridal attendant if we were able to take some entrees to go for the after party, and at the end of the reception she brought us a big bag full of food for us to take with us. We put together a wedding in two and a half months. the easiest part was booking the Piermont. From the moment we walked through the door to look and price we were in awe. A tasting prior to the event ensured we had picked the right place. The setting is beyond words from the view to the decor, it is picture perfect. The staff from booking through planning and the event was so helpful I can't even describe it. The food was delicious and over abundant. Just down right phenomenal. We were not aware that photography required permits and at the last minute they said it was no problem for us to use the venue to take photos. The Bridal attendant was wonderful. NO ONE does it like The Piermont! We had my daughter's Sweet 16 last night and my phone has not STOPPED going off about how perfect everything was and what a great time everyone had. The planning with Brittany and the ENDLESS amounts of questions I had including the very same day, sending an email to her in the morning and getting a response 13 min later was one of the best experiences. The day of the event.. everything set up EXACTLY how I wanted it to be. EXACTLY! Our Maitre D, Jessica, can be compared to NONE! From taking care of the guest of honor and her friends to making sure my husband and I had everything we needed. At the end of the party, I said, "Omg, I'm not sure if my 6 year old even had a plate of food because I was so wrapped up in making sure I spoke to everyone and they were having a good time". Jessica was like, "yes, she did! I gave her chicken fingers and fries as soon as they came out and she ate!" SERVICE BEYOND COMPARE! Speaking of the food... Chef Joe?!? Outdid himself. This man can cook!!!! Cocktail hour: Cheese table, fruits, breads, crackers... passed hors d'oeuvres that people kept stopping me and asking if I've tried yet, because they were out of this world! For dinner, we did buffet style and chose a Chinese food station, a Taco station and a Teen station with added eggplant parm and penne ala vodka! Every single thing was to die for! Dessert... ice cream bar, chocolate fondue set up and hot pretzels to go! The Piermont knows only ONE way... and that is "DONE RIGHT"! My daughter just had her wedding here and I cannot say enough good things about it !!! From the rehearsal to the day of everyone employed there was wonderful, patient and so very nice to work with ! From matre'd to waitstaff bartenders and bridal attendants so sweet and helpful! The food delicious with such a great variety at the cocktail hour !! And lastly it was a beautiful venue !! The ceremony outdoors , the room where the cocktail hour was held and the main dining area was just exquisite when you walked through the doors ! I asked him to surprise me with a drink, and he made me what he called a "Malibu Tsunami". He stepped up to the plate and knocked it so far out of the park, it is now in orbit. I had an appointment here last week and met with Bob Kneisel the sales manager. I was so excited to see this place for my wedding as it was at the top of my list. Safe to say the entire experience and "tour" (if you can even call it that) was rushed and terrible. My mother and I went to about 7 different wedding venues and were never rushed the way Bob rushed us this day. We spent at a maximum 30 minutes seeing the place and then learning about pricing (everything was extremely rushed). He didn't even show us the upstairs ballroom because he said it was completely booked (which is strange, usually a venue will show both). When I found out that Bob was going to be our point person at this venue i knew i could not get married there. He was extremely condescending, rude and not a very good sales person. One thing that sticks out to me was when he said "you have NO idea what you want for your cocktail hour?!?" In a very condescending tone. I was shocked that someone would even speak to a potential customer that way (all of the other wedding venues happened to tell me what THEY could to for MY cocktail hour) not the other way around. Overall I was extremely disappointed in the interaction I had with Bob and it turned me away from even wanting to book here. Think twice before wasting time and looking here unless you get lucky and have a different sales person! In the end we ended up booking not too far away at the Riviera Waterfront Mansion- also on the great South Bay with beautiful views and great staff! read more

Tonight's experience made me even more excited for my wedding in September next year. I would definitely go back if they continued this in the future after Covid. First impression. Beautiful view.. But that's about it. Came here for a wedding venue viewing and boy was I disappointed. Pictures and actually being there are two different things. The ceremony patio outside is beautiful, however I do not want my guests looking at air conditioning units and garbage. Oh and the best part was the owner himself gave us the tour and he was extremely arrogant and kinda rude! I asked if there are multiple weddings and if there's a possibility of guests crossing paths and he said "did you ever read a review that it has happened before?" I said no and he said "yeah exactly" .. snobbbb , not to mention every other word out of his mouth was profanity , Wouldn't recommend just based on that first initial visit , but if you do choose this for your wedding I hope it works out for you! read more
