We recently had our daughter's Sweet Sixteen at Gatsby on the Ocean and I cannot emphasize enough just how amazing the experience was - from the breathtaking room of windows with the sunset over the ocean as a backdrop, the incredible art deco decor - it was flawless and absolutely magical. Most importantly, the diligence and competence of the entire Gatsby team, especially Heather and John, made everything from the planning to the actual party so seamless and stress free it was a joy! They accommodated us at every turn, their expertise helping us with any challenge we encountered. Both of them are like family now. Every single person at Gatsby took such great, personal care of us; the party was a smash and the pictures stunning. Another plus? The event was actually affordable. My husband and I wish we had Gatsby for our wedding 25 years ago, it was truly that spectacular. We not only recommend this event space, but we also encourage you to take a look for yourself - you won't regret it.

Saw that they are open and have happy hours and thought we would stop by for a drink support business etc. There was a family in front of us, we lined up behind. The place looked like it had 2-3 tables but the hostess nowhere to be found. All 5 wait staff inside working saw us, NONE even waved or made eye contact to acknowledge us waiting. Several made rounds passed us looking like they were looking for the hostess but again NONE of them even gave us a slight wave. After standing there for 20 minutes feeling invisible we left. This is not even weekend just a Tuesday weekday.

Excellent food, definitely an underrated option in the area. Sit outdoors in the back for best atmosphere. Indoors is an old venue - and strangely empty. We loved the lobster roll, peanut butter tower, burger and Bloody Mary. Will def come back.

So I had read the other reviews and went with my sons anticipating more bad then good. The enclosure dining area is simply acoustically horrible avoid that. That room sounds like a elementary school lunch room. Dining outside is limited and my first question is why.? Every waitstaff member was struggling with a poorly designed food and bar pick up. Not one member of that staff is not a hard working person. The food was above good. We all had the lobster roll and were happy. So what is wrong. well as reported in earlier reviews more help is needed. I have attached a picture of the access food for waitstaff to access each and every time a drink of food needs to be picked up.The door itself does not even have a push bar for staff to use making them carry food and repeatedly touch a door handle at the same time. Situations like this lead to contamination and staff injuries. To think that so much money has been invested and such a bad physical layout is being used my only hope is to see this place on Restaurant Impossible. Great potential is being wasted by poor upper managerial decisions I feel. Tweaking some, this place could be a win win for management and diners. So this eve the wife says to me that a coworker happened to be in the interior dining room the very same night as we were. That person referred to their experience as a Cluster/. So who is managing this place and why is it not better?

Went here for a small family celebration. While the food was delicious, the service was a little on the lacking side. I expected better, considering the prices. We had to request a tray of bread and it took a while for the food to arrive at the table. The beer selection was a little lacking. While I understand that this restaurant just opened in June I was expecting the rough spots to be ironed out already. More attention needs to be paid to the fron

Food is good even though a little pricey. Beautiful beach. Clean and not so crowded. People are very nice.

Unassuming would be the correct word, in a strip mall where years ago we must have visited for one of the original AYCE sushi places. More recently, there was a pub that had live music. You may know it as the strip with the Post Office & Bottle Values (what I picture a liquor store in the former USSR feeling like. Lee & I made the mistake of not heading East into Carle Place/Garden City for a celebratory cocktail, we attempted to try The Foundry in Hicksville, but that was incredibly short lived. Pearl Kitchen & Cocktails turned out to be a nice choice. I enjoyed a Bee's Knees, perfectly made in a Nick & Nora glass (a way to place less spirits than a coupe) and Lee enjoyed a Mezcal concoction on the rocks which he enjoyed. We had some fabulous Mussels in a white broth and the Thai Calamari with peanut dressing. Both memorable. The owners are not novice restaurateurs. I believe if this is correct, one is of KYMA and the other was somewhere that I was familiar with the bunch of names. We would return, yes..but the overall setting and vibe was true to a strip mall. Lots of parking though !

Oysters were great! Fresh, shucked perfect and chilled well. Fish tacos were deep fried a bit heavy but tasted good. I had seared Ahi tuna for main. It was cold and a bit tough but seemed fresh. It was decent but I wouldn't order it again. My girl had Salmon which was fine, unseasoned but was decent as well. Prices were fair not too expensive. I would return but I'll order other options .

We were greeted by our waitress & seated immediately. Our waitress was quite attentive. She was a pleasure to have around, I forget her name but she's a petite woman with long black hair. There were only two other tables occupied at that time and a few ppl at the bar. First impression, a nice cozy restaurant full of bold colorful decor, nice sized bar, maybe 5-6 sections in total. Drinks: the passion fruit margarita was amazing! I love that they used fresh fruit in the drink. My father enjoyed a coconut drink and sister had a spicy margarita. All delicious My nephews did not enjoy the lemonade (not sweet) or sweet tea (also not sweet). Also, there is only one choice for the kids' menu so we ordered chicken fingers and fries for my 5 y/o nephew. FYI per the waitress every dish is cooked to order so be prepared to wait Appetizers: I wanted the cod fish fritters but was informed they were no longer available and will be removed from the menu. We ordered the trio of empanadas which consisted of 1 cheese, 1 chicken, & 1 beef. My hungry teenager devoured the meat ones and I split the cheese one with my nephew. All tasty, no complaints. Dinner: I ordered the passion fruit (wild caught) salmon served over shredded collard greens & yucca mash (small portion but full of flavor sorry forgot to take photo). Every one else ordered a beef meal and were pleased. FYI: gratuity was included on the bill, she deserved every $$. The owners did not come over to greet us but the waitress did an amazing job checking on us non stop and making sure drinks were refilled and plates were removed in a timely manner.

I knew it had to be good and I was right. Cute interior, casual, pretty small so I am sure they have a high volume operation going on. It was a cold day, so no outside seating, obviously, but I'd love to come back and sit outside on a nice day. There's something about warm weather, tacos and cold margs that's super appealing, isn't there? I'd heard their vegan tacos were excellent and I was happy to see a wide selection of them. I tried the vegan chorizo as well as the Impossi-taco. Listen, there's no contest here. If looking for a meaty type of taco, go with the vegan chorizo (I believe it's housemade). I'm a spice-loving gal and it didn't seem spicy at all to me but I do realize there are people out there that might think it's spicy so that's a caveat. It's top tier, however, and the impossible was just something I can make at home (with a lot more spice-- it's lacking that here). I also ordered the black beans and rice, but I wouldn't order it again, as it was a small ramekin and I was too full to eat it anyway. Next time, guac, I'm coming for you. The sampling on my impossi-taco had me full of regret that I didn't get more of it! If you like sweet sangria, they've got you here. I didn't love it, way too sweet for me. I'll definitely try their other cocktails next time. Now, for the service. Gina is a rockstar! I see her name mentioned in reviews and you know when you see a name in reviews, that person is exceptional. Loved her. Actually everyone in here is so nice. It's refreshing.
