Was excited to try different flavors and support a local business. Came here last night with my family for Mother's Day dinner. Made a reservation for a party of 7ppl for 7:45pm. We were greeted by our waitress & seated immediately. Our waitress was quite attentive. She was a pleasure to have around, I forget her name but she's a petite woman with long black hair. There were only two other tables occupied at that time and a few ppl at the bar. First impression, a nice cozy restaurant full of bold colorful decor, nice sized bar, maybe 5-6 sections in total. Drinks: the passion fruit margarita was amazing! I love that they used fresh fruit in the drink. My father enjoyed a coconut drink and sister had a spicy margarita. All delicious My nephews did not enjoy the lemonade (not sweet) or sweet tea (also not sweet). Also, there is only one choice for the kids' menu so we ordered chicken fingers and fries for my 5 y/o nephew. FYI per the waitress every dish is cooked to order so be prepared to wait Appetizers: I wanted the cod fish fritters but was informed they were no longer available and will be removed from the menu. We ordered the trio of empanadas which consisted of 1 cheese, 1 chicken, & 1 beef. My hungry teenager devoured the meat ones and I split the cheese one with my nephew. All tasty, no complaints. Dinner: I ordered the passion fruit (wild caught) salmon served over shredded collard greens & yucca mash (small portion but full of flavor sorry forgot to take photo). Every one else ordered a beef meal and were pleased. FYI: gratuity was included on the bill, she deserved every $$. The decor is modern, cute, warm, and welcoming. I felt like I wasn't in Long Island ! The menu was so good that I honestly didn't know what to order, and I already want to go back and try more. I really loved was that they had three different hot sauces to choose from. One was the restaurant's special sauce, one was made by one of the bartenders, and the other had a hint of mango. I had the beef empanada, which was good and fried perfectly . Additionally , I had the moqueca dish which had the perfect balance between sweet and savory . Everything tasted fresh, and the drinks were spot on too. The restaurant attention to detail and to be honest they had me at the cute the toothpicks they used in each drink! First time visiting and I'll definitely be back. A local gem in the heart of the Amityville village serving a fusion of Dominican and Brazilian food. The place is small with a handful of tables. They don't take reservations either but it's worth the wait if there is one. The bartender is nice and there is a large selection of tequilas as well as other cocktails. My wife and I went here for a Friday date night. It's a cool, Manhattan vibe restaurant. For drinks, I got the classic margarita and she got the pineapple coconut margarita. Both were good & strong. Next time I'd try a different drink or get the pineapple coconut margarita. For an appetizer, we got the Pão De Queijo which was absolutely delicious and the texture was perfect. We shared the Birria and mahi mahi tacos. The meat in both were a tiny dry but still really good, had good flavor, and they give a lot of meat. For dessert, we got the churros were so amazing. 1st off this place is beautiful, yes it's small but feels cozy and welcoming. When I visited, it was pretty slow, I was the only one at the bar and only a couple of table seatings. Had the Tuna Tartare and Margarita, both were really good, the tuna tasted very fresh with great flavor - I planned on trying a few more food items but, it was so filling (large portion). The staff was attentive and friendly I look forward to going back. The only con is I wasn't advised the margarita was a happy hour item and was charged the full price - I only noticed after paying my bill and asked if they offered HH, that I realized the Margarita should have been charged the HH price. While the waitress was attentive, she did not ask me how I like my salmon done. That's a huge indicator they are new to the food industry. Please know what you are serving and the flavor profile. Collard Greens are too bitter to pair with a yucca mash. Regular wilted spinach would be more flavorful with this dish. Take my advice and thank me later. We also had the bacalao fritters, those were very good as well, crunchy on the outside and flaky on the inside. The place itself is cute and I liked the decor. Our waitress was great, very sweet and attentive. My son ordered the Branzico burger and he enjoyed it a lot... Cons: The main dishes were pretty small. We had the skirt steak and the picanha. The picanha was tiny... flavorful, but tiny lol. The skirt steak was also small but also a little tough. Overall it wasn't terrible, but definitely wasn't impressed with those two dishes & being that it's a Brazilian restaurant I expected more. Also, the bar... got VERY loud. Cursing and explicit conversations. Now, if it was an adult only environment I would understand but being that it's family friendly and I was with my son, ehhhhh... I wasn't happy about that. For dessert we had the chocolate truffle balls & Churros. The churros were very good! The caramel on them definitely complimented the churros well. This place is definitely a must visit if you like authentic Brazilian food. I ordered the cachaca and it was made perfect. The lady behind the bar is super nice and welcoming. Im big on eating at the bar and there's enough room between the bar stools and the tables. It van get a little loud but that would be my only "compliant". The ambiance is very colorful and soothing. Found this on yelp while looking for a different restaurant in the area. Decided to try it because we love Brazilian food and we also love Mexican food. I was nervous the Pollo Yucatan would be too spicy for me but the combination of sauces made it perfect. We got guac and chips, a classic (and very delicious without the overpowering taste of tequila) margarita, and the moqueca. We got the tres leches cake to go. My friend and I dined in tonight and where do I even begin...the margaritas seem like you're drinking juice but holy cow, they're strong! The chicken empanadas were delicious. I was intrigued by the Stroganoff so I asked the bartender. Not only did she educate me on the German influx into Brazil, but she described the dish to a T and it was amazing. My friend ordered the salmon and raved about it as well. I tried her collards and mashed yucca and it was so tasty and cooked perfectly. The ambiance is great. We sat at the bar, but the little 2 top nooks are adorable. I wish there was one available when we got there. The restaurant is small, but it had a constant influx of customers and that says a lot about a restaurant. The bartender was superb and super knowledgeable about tequila. I had the shrimp stroganoff- I don't really know what stroganoff has to do with Brazil or Mexico but who cares.. it was really delicious. Super rich and the shrimp were fresh and not overcooked at all. Only downside was the portion (while perfect for me) is a little small. My husband would have needed to eat two of these. lol. I had an incredible experience at Brazico. We went on a busy Saturday night and sat at the bar to have a couple of drinks while we waited for a table. The bar was spacious and the bartender, Gina, was so lovely that we ended up foregoing a table and decided to eat at the bar. We had the chicken croquettes, two beef Brazilian empanadas and the hot honey sausage to start. Everything was perfect but the croquettes were my top pick there. My boyfriend got steak tacos for dinner, the steak was incredibly tender and well seasoned. I had the mocqueca (probably butchered that spelling) and it was the most delicious seafood dish I've ever had - mussels, shrimp and Mahi Mahi in an incredible coconut cream broth. The dinner portions were generous and the apps were perfectly shareable. Cocktails were amazing, we ended the night with espresso martinis and Dulce de leche churros. The owners were very present and constantly checking in with their guests to make sure everyone was happy. Incredible ambiance and decor, even better service and phenomenal food - Brazico is our date night spot from here on out. We can't wait to come back. read more
