    Steak bits sandwich
    Lisa T.

We are from Ca here visiting our daughter who moved here and she brought us here. Very cute place where I'm sure 99% of the clientele were locals which was pretty cool! They had a lot of beer on tap and a good size food menu. We were helped very quickly and let me tell you, that woman bartending and helping the eating customers was busting her ass and did an amazing job! I had the portobello burger and it's was great. Husband got the pizza burger which he said he liked and my daughter got the steak bits sandwich which she liked also. Cute place and great service!

Nice place. Didn't expect it to be what it was. That being said, pleasantly surprised. It's clear it's a local spot. It has a lot of TVs, great craft beer selection. Menu was limited. Not so good for a non meat eater. However, I hear they are adjusting that. In the works to overhaul their limited menu. I believe they are under new management. Good luck! Nice place small outside but expanding in the future.

Laid back ambiance and great service. They have a nice selection of beers on tap. There are four tables in the back that are on the canal.

3rd taco is pulled pork, first two are chicken fajita

The decor and vibe in this place is really cool, I popped in for lunch the other day. It was a taco Tuesday so I figured I would try the tacos, but I was really hungry so I got the appetizer chicken tenders & fries. The only good thing about that was that is was hot, otherwise average bar chicken fingers & fries. The chicken fajita tacos were AWESOME! I should have gotten the fish taco as the bartender suggested but I wasn't in the mood for fish so I did pulled pork...I should have gotten the fish because the pulled pork taco had the weirdest craziest fishy taste to it. I've never had coleslaw that tasted like fish. Minus that one weird taco, it was a cool joint and reasonably priced. Great beer selection too!

For appetizers, we got the raw oysters which were a 10/10, the clams oreganata, and the fried calamari. Not to mention we all got a cup of their outstanding lobster bisque to add to the gluttony. As an entrée, I had the house special panko breaded flounder with pesto laid on top of buttered up mashed potatoes with mussels placed beautifully around the dish 10/10 I would eat this once a week if I could. I was craving the traditional, crispy golden crust so this was a massive disappointment.

We were greeted by our waitress & seated immediately. Our waitress was quite attentive. She was a pleasure to have around, I forget her name but she's a petite woman with long black hair. There were only two other tables occupied at that time and a few ppl at the bar. First impression, a nice cozy restaurant full of bold colorful decor, nice sized bar, maybe 5-6 sections in total. Drinks: the passion fruit margarita was amazing! I love that they used fresh fruit in the drink. My father enjoyed a coconut drink and sister had a spicy margarita. All delicious My nephews did not enjoy the lemonade (not sweet) or sweet tea (also not sweet). Also, there is only one choice for the kids' menu so we ordered chicken fingers and fries for my 5 y/o nephew. FYI per the waitress every dish is cooked to order so be prepared to wait Appetizers: I wanted the cod fish fritters but was informed they were no longer available and will be removed from the menu. We ordered the trio of empanadas which consisted of 1 cheese, 1 chicken, & 1 beef. My hungry teenager devoured the meat ones and I split the cheese one with my nephew. All tasty, no complaints. Dinner: I ordered the passion fruit (wild caught) salmon served over shredded collard greens & yucca mash (small portion but full of flavor sorry forgot to take photo). Every one else ordered a beef meal and were pleased. FYI: gratuity was included on the bill, she deserved every $$. The owners did not come over to greet us but the waitress did an amazing job checking on us non stop and making sure drinks were refilled and plates were removed in a timely manner.

That being said, parking around here is generally not great and make sure you look out for a few scattered no parking signs! Wait staff was friendly and very helpful, although a little bit slow to get us our food it seemed. Getting to the food though, we had the soft pretzel, beef nachos, and mozzarella sticks to start. Nothing that would blow your socks off, but good quality bar snacks for sure. As for dinner I had their signature which is LARGE and IN CHARGE while my girlfriend had the all dya egg sandwich, each with a side of fries. I think everything could have used a bit more salt, and that is coming from someone with a salt sensitive pallete, but also shockingly, I think the oddball of the egg sandwich was actually the star of the show, but maybe that is just the Long Islander in me talking. Although I just stuck to tried and true coors light, the cocktails looked good and didn't skimp on the pours, which is always a plus. The real attraction of this place though is the nautical charm right along the canal. Hell, if you have a boat, you can even dock right on the premise and likely have a better shot of finding a spot there than on the street for your car. The vibe was chill with some live music playing too, but not too loud where you wouldn't be able to just chat with friends comfortably. I'll work back with this!! I ordered the bone marrow fries and the crab and scallop ricotta croquette pappardelle. I received a huge dish of bone marrow fries and immediately knew that it was too much for me to consume in this setting. The bone marrow fries were not too bad a little salty in some areas. The crab and scallop pappardelle & ricotta croquette and pappardelle pasta was okay as well. This dish was soothing and not too harsh for my stomach and offered a mild flavor. So when I walked in with my casual attire "all eyes on me" as I stood there to wait for an employee to approach me because I didn't know the procedures, whether I should just grab a seat or not. A Caucasian couple walked in behind me as I was waiting and came and stood in front of me. The guy behind the bar comes around gives them a seat and stood by me asking how can he help me. After I told him my business there he told me to have a seat. I recognize Mike and introduced myself. He welcome me back and tension was lifted a little but all the while I was there it was awkward for a brown person to sit alone and dine in. Interaction from the staff just felt forced. I wasn't expected preferential treatment just equal treatment. Normally I'd walk out just like the 6 people that came in and walked out while I was sitting. I really want to give 3 stars but I will let the consistency of 4 to 5 stars continue. Although there are two ratings lower than 3 stars.
