Omg the food here is absolutely one of the best tacos I've ever had by far, I'm from California!!

Customer service, and clean environment, im visiting from California. The food here is very good.

Half an egg, half a bacon. $4.

If you eat at the restaurant, you get a big beautiful taco. Unfortunately, if you order to go, you get half the size and still pay full price. Each taco has half an egg and a piece of bacon that was ripped in half.

El Shrimposito

Excellent from start to finish. We ordered a mix of tacos to share but my favorite was the El Shrimposito which was BOMB! Love the self serve drinks and the salsa/chip bar with delicious sauces to complement.

The Heather (with "Heather's" hair???)

Eewww so gross here! Placed an online order and picked up during the lunch time hours, and man, I won't ever come back!!! Ordered a Caulibella; literally came with only ONE piece of cauliflower. A Heather; nicely decorated and topped with someone's black hair. And a Space Cowboy; that looked somewhat like it should but I was afraid to eat it thanks to the other tacos that came with ingredients that were not on the menu; i.e. HAIR. I did call and told them of my distaste (literally and figuratively speaking) in my order, and was refunded, thankfully, because I wasn't eating ANY of that food. The man who answered (manager perhaps?) sounded kind of annoyed that I even asked to speak to the manager "during the busy lunch rush". Sorry homie, but get your staff and their wild hair in order and you won't have to deal with the 2 minute phone call. I get things happen, but his annoyance and tone is what led to me writing the review. This place has always been overpriced for tiny tacos, but I sure as heck won't be going back ever again after this.

Yesterday around 7:45pm we visited Tacodeli for the first time. The food was good. However, I noticed they were closing/cleaning the store. So I thought they closed at 8pm. I think it sends the wrong message to start closing procedures too early.

Top to bottom: Delibelly, Mexico City Chicken, and Frontera Fundido Shrimp

This is one of my favorite taco spots in Austin. The Doña sauce is the jam. It's not breakfast unless my face is melting off.

Perfect spot for late-night tacos!…read more The best part is that they have great vegetarian options, including both paneer and tofu tacos, and both are absolutely delicious. It's not always easy to find flavorful vegetarian tacos, so this place was a pleasant surprise. I loved it so much that I ended up visiting twice during my two-day trip to Austin. If you're in the city, this place is definitely worth checking out!

Some tables could use a cleaning in between guests, but it was fairly clean. You order your food at the counter and they call you when it is ready. I ordered the grilled steak taco, rotisserie chicken taco and special taco of the week (pork dumpling smash taco). We also ordered the elote and queso to share. The elote was good, but very creamy and a bit heavy. The queso was good but tbh I prefer Torchy's. The grilled steak taco was a bit underwhelming, I wanted it to have more flavor, it just tasted like beef and cheese. The chicken had good flavor and the special weekly taco was enjoyable and interesting, not like any taco I have had before. There is plenty of variety for people including those with dietary restrictions. My friends ordered two tacos each and I was full after 3 tacos so if you are not a big eater stick with two.

It was even fun to order with a menu representing Mexican Lotería cards. I tried the Grilled Fish Taco, Grilled Chicken Taco, and El Breakfast Taco. I think everything on the menu is excellent where I also got addicted to the Los Chips. I dined here so many times the staff remembered my name and almost my phone number which is used to send you a receipt and let you know your order is ready for pickup. The place has great character with indoor and outdoor seating and that this time became a World Cup viewing party. This place is also dog friendly inside too. Don't need to walk inside to order where can order from the street through a window like a food truck.

I had so many food targets to hit in Austin and this one didn't make my priority list for lunch/…read moredinner but I ended up coming here for a breakfast taco and really liked it! It's a small chain in Austin that started from a food truck of two women from Veracruz. Interestingly enough, the cashew based queso here is the default so people with nut allergies- watch out! I was told it was not made in house by the restaurant and I ended up not trying it. I ended up getting the El Diferente taco, while the women at the counter recommended the Furioso. I chose it because I preferred pinto beans to black beans. I added thier salsas that were creamy and it was delish with poblanos in it. The tacos sounded really simple to me from the descriptions but I ended up really enjoying the one I had for breakfast! My general rating system: 1 star: I would stay away 2 stars: Has some good things about it but I generally don't recommend. 3 stars: Pretty good. I wouldn't go out of my way to go back but a decent place 4 stars: Great place. I would go back. 5 stars: I highly recommend stopping whatever you are doing and making plans to try it out! An Evie favorite!

I ordered 2 steak tacos and horchata, both very delicious. The horchata is milky and sweet but not crazy sweet, and topped off with cinnamon. The steak tacos came out pretty hot, fresh from the grill. I got them on corn tortillas and I'm glad I did: idk if they make them in house but somebody in some house is making these because they definitely aren't store bought, and if they are I want to know where! I tried the orange habanero and creamy serrano salsas. The habanero was spicy off the bat, while the serrano had more of a lingering burn. Both paired well with the steak. They have a little bar, too, though I did not imbibe this time. Seems like they have a decent selection of agave spirits, and even Campari behind the bar (iykyk). Give them a shot, and thank the ladies in the kitchen.
