Chorizo and egg taco on flour tortilla.
    Scott B.

Taco Tuesday in Dripping Springs was fantastic. The chorizo and egg tacos were delicious. You can choose between flour or corn tortillas and they have some spicy salsa. The tacos were ready in just a few minutes and they have tables out front if you wish to stay and eat. The food truck is offset from highway 290 and is very easy to pick up a quick breakfast taco.

Well if you crave a taco in bee caves, I would suggest to give this food truck a try. The food is fresh and flavorful. Both green and red salsa are also amazing. We usually order the veggie tacos and my wife tried their veggie burrito and till now we have liked everything.

Finally!! A legit taco truck in Lakeway! This place checks just about all of the boxes. Sampled the breakfast tacos (heuevos mexicana, bean and cheese, bacon and egg) and a Carne Asada taco today and they were all outstanding. Big thumbs up for the grilled onions and serranos with the Carne Asada. Salsas are outstanding - especially the jalapeño salsa. Cant wait to go back and try their tortas and al pastor tacos. Would love to see them add sopes and gorditas, but even without them, this fills a much needed void in Lakeway, and will be getting lots of my business. Clean, friendly, looks to be a family operation. So happy to have them here, especially after the apparent demise of Little DF in Spicewood. Welcome to Lakeway De La O - I hope you stick around for a long time!

One of the authentic, delicious tacos we had. Their tacos are cheap but it doesn't affect the quality of their food.

For an inexpensive place, it's pretty good. The portions were generous, and it works well if you're looking for a quick bite or small plates without spending a lot. What I enjoyed: The enchiladas were my favorite -- very good. The taquitos were also well done and flavorful. I asked for flour tortillas with butter, which they gladly brought out (just make sure to request it). The mango beer was excellent -- definitely a highlight. They offer happy hour drinks, and it wasn't overly busy when I went. They also have a large outdoor patio, which is nice if you enjoy sitting outside. Next door there appears to be more of a biker-style bar atmosphere, which gives the area a very casual, laid-back feel. There was a small mix-up at first -- I ordered a beef enchilada but was given chicken by mistake. However, they handled it properly and didn't charge me for the error, which I appreciated. I didn't try the fish tacos. The only reason is that I had read mixed reviews about the fish beforehand, so I chose other items instead. Overall, it's not fancy dining -- but for the price, the portions, and the relaxed vibe, it's a solid, affordable option.

They do have an incredibly large outdoor shaded seating area so I can only imagine it's amazing. I've been here twice for the fish tacos I had one burrito one time I think it was called onion Hawaiian beef roll or something like that I would skip that it was OK but I would skip that and go straight to the fish tacos get the more expensive ones they taste better. Also disappointed in the nachos they were just kind of a soggy mess nothing to write home about would've been better off just getting tacos instead. The chips don't hold up to the toppings. But live and learn. Staff here has been nice both times I've come in. Ordering is easy you order either at the bar or there's a person at the counter that can take your order and then you sit and wait with a number for your order to come out They do have a nice choice of salsa bar so you can make it hot or not depending on what you like there are jalapeños lines etc. Beer selection was lacking for a bar. Do you want light beer this light beer or a different light beer or an IPA ughhhh no. How about an Amber or something with flavor? All in all it's a cute bar to go to it's not my favorite one for tacos but they are still pretty good even though mine are better at home ha ha

When they took over their current location (used to be a divish bar) in 2022, they really transformed the place into something special. Arguably one of the best patios in the Lake Travis area. Lots of choices of types of seating from standard tables and chairs to comfy sofas. Complete with a fire pit, full bar with TVs, lots of fans, QR code orfering and checkout an option...super chill, spacious, and inviting environment (especially since it's located directly off of busy 620). The inside is really large, including an oversized bar area seating. Offers a very nice dining option (or just for drinks), but if the weather's nice you'll "catch me outside." Don Mario has always offered traditional Mexican cuisine. If you're looking for boring Tex-Mex, you might be a little bit disappointed (albeit they do offer quesadillas, fajitas, flautas+ but kicked up a notch). Some of my personal favorites are the Mexican street tacos (seven different proteins to choose from), ceviche, albondigas, cóctel de camarones, and more; great chips and salsa. Another favorite is off menu, but it's just a basic refried bean and cheese burrito. Magically flavorful and they are not shy with the cheese, which is a very good thing in my book. A great inexpensive and indulgent option to get in protein for the day. Always receive very friendly and prompt service from both wait staff and kitchen. They're always amenable to any special requests, including creating off menu items as previously mentioned. If you're in the mood, they do serve some pretty tasty house frozen FRESH fruit margaritas (strawberry, pineapple, cucumber, or mango). They have a limited happy hour available Monday through Friday from 3-7pm. Save a buck is a buck is a buck. ;) Overall, sí por favor. :D ¡Salud!

Oh well, it's only THE SIGNATURE DRINK OF EVERY MEXICAN RESTAURANT IN TEXAS! But really, we went out for dinner, not drinks. So, we got the shrimp enchiladas. Oh wait , what kind of enchiladas would you like? Let me order directly from the menu. "Enchiladas Camerones" Oh, you mean the shrimp enchiladas? Well, they were very good. So were the black beans and rice. I would order them again. You think we're done? Uh-uh.. Then came the mariachis!! The place is noisy as it is with a hard floor and large open space. Add 6 guys blasting brass, strings and Spanish at the top of their lungs and you'll get the jist. 165 dB would have been welcome. My water glass was spurting out the top. My hearing aids were feeding back. It almost felt like my last Rolling Stones concert in row 13. But, in all seriousity, everyone around me didn't seem to mind the noise, the music and the inability to communicate with anyone farther than 6" from you without having to yell. Having only been to a couple of Mexican restaurants in this area, I don't know if this is the standard or the exception. Stay tuned.

Both had refried beans and potatoes and tortillas. We were served chips and 2 salsas - both of which were excellent. My omelet was delicious - fluffy, cheesy and topped with chunks of fajita meat. The migas and fajitas were also very good according to my husband, although he put salsa on the migas for added flavor. I saw on the menu that they serve empanadas, too, which are hard to find, so I will order those next time. Service was excellent, staff were attentive and friendly, and the restaurant interior was very comfortable and attractive. There is a bar and TV and also an outdoor patio as well. Wow, where do I even start with Tekilas? It felt like I stumbled into a money-laundering operation disguised as a restaurant. Seriously, how is this place still open? There were only a handful of tables occupied yet the service, food and drinks was still a disaster. We kicked things off with three margaritas that tasted like someone dumped a bottle of Tom Collin's sweet and sour mix into a glass definitely not the refreshing drink any of us were hoping for. So...I switched to a Mexican Martini thinking it couldn't get worse...and it did! Next, we ordered two large queso, which somehow arrived colder than the outside temperature...how is that even possible in 101° heat? We asked for chips and salsa to go with it, and after asking our server nicely three times we finally got a tiny 2oz cup of salsa for five of us. I half expected them to charge us for refills which there weren't any... As for the food, we tried the pastor tacos, chile rellenos, fajitas, and puffy tacos. The pastor tacos were completely flavorless and somehow didn't come with limes...pretty sure that's illegal in Mexico. The fajitas and puffy tacos had about three ounces of protein combined and the chile relleno was just as disappointing. Honestly, if you're looking for a place to eat, or have a drink keep looking. Tekilas isn't it! Don Mario's is about 7-8 min away and much better.
