Great experience! Half price apps 3-6, and I had a quesadilla for my meal with that. I also got a side of tasty shrimp. I liked the salsa bar with different options available! Attentive service on a weekday at 5pm

This location has PLENTY of seating and a pretty good amount of selection on the menu. Some games are in one of the indoor area. Great spot near the lake and patio dining with lots of trees around. Food was underwhelming, especially their fried fish taco. Carnitas was okay but could be better too. They are an inKind restaurant so we wanted to try em. Onion rings were the best part.

Stopped at the Saloon and had to order Wahoo's! The onion rings were perfectly crispy! I had the Crispy Fish Taco and my husband had the 1988 Taco with shrimp. The pricing was fair, the service was fast and the tacos were the ideal size!

Tried Wahoo's Tacos and I'm officially a fan. This is such another great spot for watching games, hanging out with friends, and just vibing for a while. My favorite part? Their living room-style area. Like... how cute is that? Cozy setup with video games, a pool table tucked right next to a fireplace--it actually feels like you're hanging at someone's really cool house. Shoutout to Lux, who was seriously so nice and helpful with our order. Love when great service matches the vibe. Now the food We tried their popular fish taco (for a reason--so good), tortilla soup, quesadilla, and taquitos--everything hit. And we topped it all off with a cocorita, which was the perfect finish. Smooth, refreshing, and exactly what you want with tacos.

Found this place while on the way to Lake Travis off 620 and had to turn around and give it a try. It's fairly close to the Mason Dam for reference. Once inside, the beach decor will make you feel like you are at the Texas coast. It's a fun place and it makes for a relaxing time. For service, head to either the bar or the counter. After you order, you will get a table locator tag and then the food is served to you. Quick and simple. I went with the crispy fried flounder protein bowl and wifey settled on the protein bowl with carnitas and chicken. The flounder reminded me of my childhood memories of fish sticks. The bowl insides were good and the fish was just ok. The carnitas bowl was tasty but the chicken was a bit bland. Both dishes are ok if you are looking for an above average meal. We sat inside with our doggie as the place is pet friendly; which ultimately sold us as we were traveling to the lake for the weekend and our furry companion is part of our family.

Yeah this place was just okay, Chipotle or Taco Deli are much better options. We had the Carnitas nachos and Chicken quesadilla, I felt like I could make both dishes at home with minimal effort and it would be tastier. It is convenient if you are hungry, the food comes out fast. It's also a nice place for small children as there is a play ground and game room. One thing that would significantly improve the experience is to turn down the music. I'm a concert goer and the music was definitely Gen X, but wow so unnecessarily loud!

Very good fish Tacos. The portions were good and the food was fresh and tasty. The Wahoo taco was moist and was complimented nicely by the slaw mix. Nice flavor to the fish. The panko fried flounder taco was equally as tasty. Good portion as well. The accompanying black beans and rice were very good as well. My only criticism was the queso. It was outstanding but the portion size was more of single serving size than a shareable. Need a bigger serving. Love the California beach vibe of the place. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating and it looks like they will be doing live music on the weekend. Nice. Service was friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back to try some of the other menu items.

Had a great experience at Wahoo's Fish Tacos. The fish tacos were fresh and full of flavor, the staff was friendly and quick, and the outdoor patio has an awesome relaxed vibe under the trees. Perfect spot to grab lunch and hang out for a bit. Definitely coming back!

The food was a bomb for me. I got the fish taco and enchilada. With rice and beans. Everything but the fish taco was ok. The fish taco itself, was a long piece. I don't know what fish it came from, but fish should be flaky and break apart. It's almost like a microwave rubbery fish. I didn't eat it. I ate the beans and rice. The enchilada was chicken. And that did have chunks of chicken. But I don't think I'll eat there again. Maybe WakeSurf Saloon food will be better?

Stopped in town because we were looking for a later dinner post a sunset cruise. Didn't initially intend to come to wahoos but really glad we did. There was ample seating indoors and outdoors and the lighting outside was really pretty! The tacos de papa, chipotle salad and burrito were all great and the salsa bar was an added plus. The service was quick and the value for money I would say was also pretty good for a town like Lakeway. The only thing we didn't really like was the quesadilla so we would probably skip that next time. Overall, we really enjoyed and will stop by again next time we're in Lakeway!

OMG what a cool place. It's 2 places on one. Has a sports bar on one side which is so desperately needed in this area with bar food & another smaller bar (also with many TVs) where Wahoos serves their food. Good drinks, great food, AMAZING ambiance! Don't even hesitate - go check it out!

Some of the best fish tacos I have ever had. This rivals any beach town. The staff is always very friendly. Plus those frozen margaritas have some punch.

The chicken was shredded and could've used a little more seasoning for my taste. I'm also not a huge fan of lettuce in a burrito, so that may have played a part in it not being my favorite. Sixth Street's neon and noise are basically next door, the Capitol sits up the hill, and the whole area is packed with people, bars, and that classic Austin mix of polished downtown hustle and late-night chaos. Velvet Taco is pure counter-service: you walk right up, order at the register, and then grab a seat. There's plenty of seating, so even with a couple of kids in tow it was no problem finding a spot. The place leans hard into what can only be called white-people tacos--soft, sad flour tortillas that taste like they came straight out of a grocery-store package, loaded with every wild creation the kitchen can invent. Global mashups, brunch hybrids, burger impostors, the works. No one is pretending these are the real deal. I went for the chicken-and-waffles taco, which was actually built on a thin, real waffle instead of a tortilla. Surprisingly good--crispy, a little sweet, chicken holding its own. The burger taco tasted exactly like a cheeseburger that had wandered into a tortilla and decided to stay. We also tried the shrimp taco (fine), one daughter got the kids' chicken taco (perfectly kid-level), and the other ordered the chicken tikka (spicy, saucy, and very much in the "why is this on a tortilla?" category). Everything was okay. Comparable to Torchy's in that same creative-American-taco lane. If you're looking for a true Mexican taco, stay far away. But if you just want to play around with some decent flavors on a cheap flour store-bought tortilla while sitting in the middle of downtown Austin, this is your spot. Not my favorite. Glad I tried it. Won't be back.

I ordered 4 tacos: the migas, migas poblano, shrimp macha (!!), and the Dona Reyna tacos. All of these specific tacos were priced between $6 and $6.75 per taco, not bad in Austin, and not bad considering the quality of said tacos. As you can see from my order, I opted on the more "novel" choices and they did not disappoint; that said, I do HIGHLY recommend the two variations of the migas taco and the shrimp macha taco. Oh, the shrimp macha was so FIRE, the flavors were bold and smoky with a kiss of heat. The migas tacos were FULLY LOADED, and the scramble with the tortilla chips were flavorul.
