Bathroom door at Taco Shack, nasty!
    Michael F.

I had been eager to try Taco Shack ever since I was given a gift card so today I went for the first time and it was terrible! First, when I went to use my $25 gift card I was told they wouldn't honor it because they had recently changed owners. Very unprofessional not to honor a gift card that was still valid at their establishment. I went ahead and ordered the 'fish' tacos but it was ninety percent breading and ten percent fish and very bland and undercooked. The place was filthy, we had to clean our own table on the patio. The bathroom was worse than a gas station bathroom, very unclean. The floors throughout the restaurant look like haven't been cleaned in years, needless to say we won't be back. I took a picture and attached of the bathroom door and as a rule of thumb, if the bathroom looks like this then the kitchen must be just as bad.

The tacos were terrible, tasteless, dry ..... besides being cheap eats ... I will never be back

Taco Shack - Redlands, CA We stopped by Taco Shack and left seriously impressed. We ordered a carne asada street taco, a diabla shrimp burrito, and their shrimp ceviche--and every single item delivered. The carne asada street taco is exactly what you want a street taco to be: generously loaded with well-seasoned asada, topped simply with fresh cilantro and onions, letting the flavors speak for themselves. The diabla shrimp burrito was packed with shrimp and coated in a smoky diabla sauce that hurts so good--bold, spicy, and deeply satisfying without overpowering the shrimp. The shrimp ceviche was bright, flavorful, and well portioned--perfect as a shared appetizer for a group. Add in the welcoming atmosphere and genuinely friendly staff, and Taco Shack proves it's more than just a one-time stop. Between the food, the vibe, and the service, this is absolutely a spot worth coming back to. Looking forward to exploring more of the menu soon.

Carne Asada & Carnitas Street Tacos

The food was disappointing. I ordered a carne asada taco and carnitas taco. The meat was dry and didn't have much flavor. It could definitely use more salt. I appreciate that they loaded the tacos with meat and served grilled onions on the side though. Parking is easy to find. There is a private lot and street parking available. They also have a spacious outdoor patio with plenty of seating.

First time here! They have a lot of seating outdoors. Inside a couple tables. Employees are nice and welcoming. I got the torta with potato's 10/10. Everything was perfect! Highly recommend! Hubby got the asada tocos, he rated them 7/10. He said they were a little on the dry side. The Jamaica water was bomb. Would definitely come again.

One the few spots open New Year's Eve for dine in or to-go. Decided to try their menudo, street taco trio for Taco Tuesday, and a few of their Baja style tacos. Service was prompt and quick at the counter. I waited outside until my order was ready. They have a self serve area for salsa and sides like pickled veggies (escabeche). Menudo came with all the fixings plus lots of hominy. Delicious! Less thick than most menudos yet still very hearty. The birria street taco was the most flavorful, while the pastor and carnitas street tacos were just ok. They needed a bit of salsa. The Baja shrimp taco includes the tail fried on, so for those who have texture issues, it may be unexpected. The real surprise for me was that my fish tacos tasted metallic, almost like a catfish taste. I'm not opposed to catfish at all but did not expect it to be used in fish tacos since the flavor is really strong for some people. Note: The tacos are stuffed with shredded green cabbage first, then the piping hot fried fish/shrimp, and pico de gallo. Maybe it's because of the hot fish my pico de gallo looked discolored with sad cilantro. The crispy tacos looked interesting enough to come back and try. If I am need is some menudo, I'm definitely returning. I'm not sure if I'll be back for the Baja style tacos in the near future.

This place is great! If you want authentic Mexican food, go here!! The outdoor seating is a great set-up & very clean. Plenty of great options on the menu. Friendly greeting once I walked in & our server was helpful. Mini salsa bar was tempting & radishes, lemons & limes were also available. I ordered the hard shell tacos. The tortilla shells were so crispy. My friend got the breakfast burrito that was big & fully filled. Both were served warm & very delicious. Location in Redlands, CA.

Great spot for Mexican food! The California burritos were delicious and the fish tacos were super fresh. The area is nice and the staff is really friendly and welcoming. Definitely recommend stopping by if you're craving good Mexican food!

My girlfriend introduced me to the Taco Shack. I had the Tilapia Ranchero and it was delicious. The staff was very friendly and helpful. If you want good food, go to the Taco Shack.

Great location, parking is easy whether you find a street spot or park in the private lot. I grew up eating at taco stands in Baja California, Mexico so finding this spot reminded me of just that. The carne asada tacos & fish tacos were delicious! Customer service is great! The outdoor patio is great for summer evenings and they even have a DJ that comes out on Friday nights. Love!

It's better than Pancho's in Manhattan Beach. I don't understand the reviews giving them a 1 star because of parking? Never had an issue with parking in the big lot. They have a Tesla supercharger in the parking structure just across from the train tracks that is great to use during a meal here. Veggie burrito is phenomenal. Their beans and rice are amazing. Fresh ingredients. Enchiladas are on point. We make it a habit to come here with extended family and everyone is always blown away and can't recall any Mexican restaurant that tops this one in terms of the food itself. Manuel's El Tepeyac in East LA maybe.... For the items we've had and continue to enjoy at Las Fuentes (burritos, enchiladas, combination plates, (kids love their Horchata), this is a win every time. COCKROACH Believe me!…read more Never thought it would happen to me. First, the host took long and never brought the menu. The waiter brought it, okay. The host brought the tortilla chips. I found a hair in the chips. It was underneath some chips and the rest sticking out. Okay, a hair, asked for new chips from the host since he was passing by and brought the first. I asked for some fresh ones and told him there was a hair in it. Didn't say anything but looked at the chips to see what I was talking about. I got through part of my burrito and felt something oddly crunchy. I was like, wtf, I took it out of my mouth and it was dark and flaky. Part of it looked red and part just too dark. Since I saw what was reddish, I thought it was a roasted pepper , that didn't seem right though. I thought I was a pepper, kept eating. Had some a third of the burrito left and was getting ready to ask for a box. As the waiter was passing, I started looking at the crunchy thing I took out of my mouth and took a closer look. It became more apparent that it was a ROACH . Yes, I unfortunately ate part of it if not most of it. I had been there a few times and never had an issue. I was still in disbelief but asked him what it was. I placed it in his hand. He said it looked like shrimp, that it turns dark when it's cooked, but it still shouldn't be there he said. I was just tripping on it and was like, no, but then was like it has to be. What else could it be? There's no way shrimp gets like that, I don't eat shrimp. I don't know what it turns out looking like... They didn't charge me for the meal. Marco's first reaction though when I told him was like ugh, you're going to put me through this and went off looking back at me. Yes, I put him through it. His service was mediocre but still gave him a decent tip. You tell me what it looks like. I was nauseous and disgusted all night and to this day. UNBELIEVABLE!
