Nothing tastes better than breakfast after a 5:30am Barre class when your legs are jelly and you've already burned through your will to live. My girlfriends and I hit Roadrunner Cafe around 7am after class while our friend Michelle was in town, and we were STARVING. Luckily it was still nice and mellow that early, so we grabbed a table, ordered a small army of lattes, iced coffees, and cold brews, and settled into the cutest corner space. But can we talk about the toast flight?! Because wowwwwwzer. It came out looking ridiculously pretty with avocado, eggs, tomatoes, cucumbers, mushrooms, greens, all the drizzles and delicious little toppings. Very Instagrammable. But more importantly, it actually tasted better than it looked. We basically picked our way through the whole board going, "Wait, you HAVE to try this one." Coffee was stellar. Food was stellar. Girlfriend breakfast was stellar. And after voluntarily doing Barre before sunrise, I feel like we earned every single carb on that table. read more

The chipotle and salsa sauces that came with it increased the flavor immensely. The burrito comes with yummy yams. The Blue Basic Hojicha w/ Oatmilk made me want to cry. It was sooooo good. Roadrunner Coffee has such a chill vibe. The music is mellow, the atmosphere is relaxed, and it's the perfect place to slow down for a bit. We went around 8 AM and it wasn't crowded at all, which made it even better. If you're looking for a spot to grab a quick breakfast with a friend, catch up over coffee, or fuel up before heading out on a nearby hike or trail in downtown Redlands, I'd definitely recommend it. I've been to this spot a few times and really like that they open early, which makes it convenient to stop by before work. I usually try a different matcha or latte each time, and I've also been trying their seasonal drinks when they come out. The pistachio cold foam is definitely one of my favorites! I absolutely love this coffee shop! It was very busy when I walked in but I didn't have to wait long to order or for my drink! I decided to get a matcha drink with oat milk and add honey sweetener to it and it was delicious! The barista was making drinks so fast and he called out names as he put the drinks down. To my surprise, I ended up trying a new drink that left quite the impression. On the barista's recommendation, I tried a roasted matcha drink called hojicha. Very light and juicy at the same time Fair warning, they don't bring the drinks to you, and we hadn't heard ours being called so they sat at the counter for a while oops! My friend and I were surprised because they put cinnamon on top of her hot cocoa and my iced mocha (I generally don't like cinnamon, so I wish I knew this beforehand to ask not to include it). Either ways, the drinks were rich and flavorful! They also made pretty latte art in the shape of a heart on my friend's bf's latte Our server was hilarious! He brought out plates and I was so excited thinking it was ours so I said "oh!" and he gently corrected me saying it was for the next table over. Came to try this place out, it was very busy when I came during lunch time... the inside is so aesthetically pleasing with plenty of options of seating to hang out or dine in... I ordered a pumpkin chai for $7.25. Unfortunately it was the worst chai I've had, it tasted like flavored sweet milk... not a hint of chai or spice and even the color was off . This coffee shop is around the corner from my work and it is a very cute spot! It's esthetically pleasing because it's clean, bright and has a very open space with multiple seating arrangements. They even have a cute space for children. I've only been there a couple of times, but I want to go more often! It is most certainly a busy place, but they are also pretty quick at serving you. I've had their Brekkie Burrito which was to die for! I've also had a couple bites of their Sandstone Sammie which was delish. The food tastes clean, is mostly organic, seed oil free and very flavorable. They also have vegetarian options for those looking. Yesterday I ordered a Carrot Cake Latte from their Spring Specials menu and it was so so good! If you love carrot cake, that is most definitely for you. My Manager was with me and she ordered the same latte, and wanted to try their Pink Guava Lemonade too. I bought their seasonal matcha cloud drink and it came out quickly for being a packed house on a Sunday evening. The drink itself had a beautiful green color, but had a vegetal matcha taste that wasn't the most appealing (and I love a savory matcha). The coconut cream top added a hint of sweetness. Every time I sipped it, I questioned why they chose it as a signature seasonal drink. It was still refreshing due to the use of coconut water. They do have a sign that urges you to get your drink adjusted if you're not satisfied. I love the cafe interior here because it's so bright and welcoming. I appreciated their variety in seating, such as the solo bay-window seats, regular table seats, bar-chairs, and large booth seats. Roadrunner has a couple of small tables outside. Inside, it's a pretty big contemporary space. There is seating along the entrance and the walls. It was packed (Sunday afternoon). There were people working on laptops, chatting, or eating. There was long line to order. The line did move quickly. On the menu, there is some brunch items like sandwiches, toast, burrito, parfait, and salad. I ordered a blue basil matcha with whole milk, iced, 16oz and a brekkie burrito. I asked the cashier if the burrito was gluten free. He said no but that they can accommodate for it. I was surprised about that and it was nice to hear! He asked if it would be here or to go. I said to go since I saw the cafe had no empty tables. My total came out to $27, tip included. He gave me a number anyway, saying that's how the kitchen knows who to give it too. Drinks would be called by name. My drink was ready quickly. The blue basil matcha was sweet and unique. I've never had anything like it. A couple minutes after, my order was ready and luckily, I was able to find a table. The kitchen worker asked if I needed anything else and told me where I could find utensils and condiments. Since I did ask for to go, I got disposable plates. I saw people eating from dishes that wanted to eat inside. The burrito was good! I have never seen it prepared the way it was. It came with grapes, blackberries, and an orange slice. There's different options for the protein to choose from. I got bacon. It left me satisfied. Went there on a Sunday afternoon. I was greeted by someone at the front. It's really bright decor inside. Wanted to try something new in Redlands and wanted to make sure that they served in real glasses. I got the flat white my daughter's got a mocha and a latte in glassware. I asked about the blend and it had Ethiopian and Colombian mix. I could taste the bite of the Ethiopian bean when I drank the flat white. Not a fan of Ethiopian coffee, but it still was a good cup of coffee. Unfortunately, I saw cockroach underneath the table there. I would say it's a decent place to go. This super cute little coffee shop just opened in October and it is amazing. The coffee is so good, and I love that they're very kid-oriented. It was difficult finding a table to do work at and we felt very discouraged. There were a lot of people saving the tables instead of ordering first. Their WiFi also did not work, since it was packed inside. We ordered their gingerbread latte and a citrus bloom. Their gingerbread latte was very sweet. I couldn't taste my coffee. The citrus bloom was full of citrus. It was okay. It resembled the orange chocolate balls that you would buy during the holiday season. The servers weren't the nicest. They seem stressed. It was chaotic and noisy inside, so not super ideal for work, even with headphones on. Needless to say, I don't think we'd be back on a weekend. A lovely spacious cafe in the middle to DTR and fell in love the moment I stepped in. They have plenty of seating and booths for chatting with friends, enjoying a meal, or even studying. Friendly staff and really cute aesthetic--giving Joshua Tree minimal desert chic. My friend got the vanilla matcha, not too sweet and good matcha. I got the seasonable gingerbread foam matcha and it was delicious. As of December 2025, they are relatively new but have already become a favorite locals spot. (Be patient: the lines were long at the breakfast and lunch hours when I dropped by.) On this visit we dropped by on a holiday, and they were fully staffed and in full swing. This coffee shop has a very open and clean design. The service area is centrally located, and was quick and efficient. This is a family orientated coffee shop (See my pic of the children's area for serving their own.) They sell Moon Oat roaster's coffee. As a plain cup of coffee, it's a bit strong and acidic. After wanting to try this place since their opening, I finally made it in tonight. I was pleasantly surprised to see that they're open until 6pm, which is not the case for most coffee shops! I tried their Tuscan chicken sandwich and a cortado. The food was delicious, and the presentation was beautiful. I loved the attention to detail with the tiny flowers mixed in with the fruit. The coffee tasted a little burnt, but it wasn't bad. I'll likely try a latte for my next visit. The service was very good here as well! All the employees were super friendly and helpful, even shortly before closing. On par with the other reviews, this is a hopping coffee shop but the line runs smoothly & quickly! I checked out the Carrot Cake Latte special & it was so flavorful & fun! It was served on the best pebble ice & with a baby carrot to top. The cold foam was a real treat to balance the spices of the latte, I would recommend! I also got the last slice of coffee cake (it was 3:30p after all) for an afternoon treat which was delicious as well. Instead of a dryer dense coffee cake, it was fluffy and spongy with nice swirls of cinnamon inside. Can't wait to come back to try their other pastries in the box. I appreciated that they said they generally keep anything with nuts in a separate container to avoid cross contamination. That is usually a struggle to verify ingredients when ordering at cafes and pastry boxes, so that was such a nice piece of mind. The matcha is delicious, though I wish they had more options for sweetener. Their food is great; including the refrigerated snacks, soups, and sandwiches. I can't wait until they have gluten free options so my loved ones can try the food. I also enjoy the friendly staff and love the idea that they have a little kids corner in the back. They do offer rewards by phone number. Drinks were well appreciated both matcha and coffee. In my opinion the matcha is better than the coffee but I would want to go back and try a cortado or cappuccino to say definitively. At this time they don't have any special drinks which I found a bit disappointing but understandable as they just opened. Syrups are homemade, options include honey, brown sugar, vanilla, pumpkin, and mint. From what I could tell they use Califa oat and almond milk. Did not have a chance to try any food at this visit. I wasn't about to do that, so I made it my mission to be the first person in line when it opened at 7a. From ordering to the moment I received my full order (coffee first, then food), I was out the door in 20 minutes. Pros: Located in State street where there is ample parking in the morning hours. Beautiful space with modern decor, that has a indoor dining feel with plenty of room to do work, relax, or people watch. Friendly baristas and staff. Cons: Mid coffee with expensive price tag (see photo of 12 oz iced mocha). Lack luster breakfast burrito (see photo). Something was off about the toast I ordered, and can't quite pinpoint it. Total bill was almost $35 for 1 coffee and 2 food items. The wait is REAL, and I was the first person there. Do I regret it? No. Will I return? Also probably no.
