Fireproof Coffee is one of my favorite hidden gem cafés. I honestly didn't even realize it was there at first, even though I've been to a nearby boba shop in the same plaza. It's kind of tucked away, which makes finding it feel like a nice surprise. The space inside is really big and thoughtfully designed, and their menu is super creative. I like that they change their drinks seasonally, which keeps things interesting every time you come back. The worker was really nice and helpful, answering questions and making the whole experience feel welcoming. The interior is one of the highlights. There are a lot of interactive and unique areas, like a greenhouse and even a candle room, which makes the space feel more than just a regular café. It's a fun place to explore while you're there. I got the Afterglow, and it was really good. The pandan flavor wasn't too strong, so it didn't overpower the matcha and everything blended really nicely. My friend got the Meta Matcha, which was also delicious. It was smooth, well balanced, and had a rich matcha flavor that stood out without being too heavy. Overall, it's such a cool spot with amazing drinks, a unique atmosphere, and friendly service. Definitely a place I'd keep coming back to. read more

Firstly, finding this space was a little challenging to find, but worth it! We aren't from the Redlands we were just visiting and wanted to drop in on a local shop. The espresso was so delicious my husband got rocket fuel and I did the meteorite. Absolutely delicious not too sweet-- and the espresso still shines! I cannot do sweet coffee drowned in caramel sauce. Now the space is very nice but it can be a bit loud with the nearby space having Zumba. The atmosphere is more alive than your average coffee shop but there are spaces where you can sit to be away from the chatter as well. The nostalgia alone is worth visiting, but we love the themed menu items, the support for local bakeries, and the community feel. read more

The coolest coffee house I've ever been in. My girlfriend's been telling me about it and I'm so glad we finally came. The whole vibe is super unique, every corner has something different and interesting. Coffee is great and their matcha is really good too. Staff was super friendly which made it even better. So my son recommended me to try this place out. Great spot! I ordered the Afterglow. It's matcha with pandan cf and hint of coconut. Sorry forgot the details of the drink but I did customize it with oat milk. Love it! The decor is nice and establishment is pretty spacious with great amount of sitting area. I def recommend this spot if you're looking for some tasty coffee or matcha. I will have to try their other matcha flavors next time. Oh and customer service was excellent! read more

The vibes... The entrance was misleading because once you pass the office space entry, you are met with the mini art museum style coffee shop. Let's ignore the mini candle space, potted plant bus and Knick knack shop and talk about the coffee/matcha. The crater coffee was topped with honeycomb that slowly melted as you drink. Even though it was topped with a generous amount of honeycomb, the coffee was strong and not too sweet. I ordered the red rover (a strawberry matcha). The matcha was too light and so was the strawberry flavor. They do have a triple matcha drink so I might have to try that next time to get my matcha fix. read more

I've stopped by twice now, one time I had matcha and the other I had coffee. Both drinks were good, honestly nothing special. I did also purchase the jalapeño cheddar sourdough loaf they sell from a third party vendor which was amazing!! (I do wish the availability of baked goods was more consistent.) So this is my first time going here and I have to say this is a very unique place. Their menu is very colorful, names are one of kind "radiant razz" "crater", and they even sell plants and candles in the shop! This shop is Fire and Eye have the Proof! So freaking dope from the floor to the Roof! I'm straight up going to say this coffee shop has set the bar for everyone in the inland Empire. Good coffee with plenty of space and throw in a candle and plant shop with the decor to literally blow you away. You might say it's a vibe out of LA but it's actually here around the way. I started off with the Milky Way that came with a blend of macadamia and creamy vanilla and it was pretty good. The coffee did overpower the flavors a little bit but I was ok with it. My second drink was their Fireproof Latte and this also had macadamia but with white chocolate, a little similar to my first one but different after each sip. The service was great and even though they don't have that mug service I enjoy they let you bring in your own mug. My pics don't do this coffee shop justice so you will have to see for yourself. If you're all about retro vibes, good coffee, and relaxing, then this place is for you. Order, grab a seat (if you're lucky), and sip on some coffee and eat a pastry or two. Cool atmosphere with a space theme going on. I visited on a Saturday morning and it was packed! Lots of people working/studying. There was no where to sit so we ended up taking our drinks and snack to go. The guy at the register was extremely friendly and made conversation with us. The moment I walked in, I was met with a warm, jazzy, comfortable, and peaceful ambiance. There's a little hallway you walk through until you come across aesthetically pleasing merch. I came across a few friends from school, and I begin to understand why this place is recommended by many people in the San Bernardino area. There seems to always be a line, but it goes quite quickly. If you want to avoid the crowd, come as soon as the cafe opens! I've been told that is the best time especially when you want to find a place that suits your need - a sofa or circular table to hold a conversation or an outlet to plug in your device to study. This first time I visited I ordered a hot decaf latte with almond milk. This amounted to about $4.50, which is much well priced and worthwhile compared to majority of the other cafes that I've been to. I got to interact with Michelle, who helped me out today in taking my order. Sharing the same name, I'm biased to say Michelle is a wonderful name! Above all, I just want to highlight her kindness. I received my latte so well. The milk was foamed and creamy. Other drink options seem quite fun to explore as they uniquely present each drink on the wall with a poster. There are kids playing in the back - riding their bikes and dragging their mom's bags. Time to time, a fitness studio blasts exciting music. I got the meteorite with an extra shot and cookie butter foam, I really liked it but next time I'd add 2 shots since I prefer my coffee a little on the stronger side. THIS is the place to take your friends if you want to get coffee in Redlands. It is just an ideal spot for studying, chit chatting, or just a little fun something to do in your day. There is a literal speakeasy candle shop! Like come on, does it get any better than that? There is also a little bus with plants in it too. Cute string lights over the study area with plug ins for laptops. There is just so much fun stuff to look at. The employees are so personable and kind. I've been to this place about three times and it is my top two coffee shops from the Redlands area. It is up there w/ slow bloom and I wouldn't know which one to pick. The meteorite latte with oat milk is great and so is there strawberry matcha (I order it without the strawberry puree, only the strawberry foam). One thing about me I will run out if they have pre made generic syrups and Costco boxed shelf stable oat and almond milks. I need them to have Oatly, califia, or minor figures all barista blend. They have just this and the sauces are quite delicious not overwhelmingly sweet, not chemical-y at all, and perfect amount of ice. Huge plus they accept my own cup as well. The ambience and setting is very unique. It's located in like a bodega with the two big door open. Plenty of retro vintage decor and it gives sort or like a 90s Sci fi vibe. I don't know how I feel about studying here long term during hot days. There's no AC but there are plenty of fans. Yet, I am used to studying and being in cold cool places. There is plenty of seating though and parking and that is a BIG PLUS and advantage over slow bloom which has little seating and parking. The customer service is very good. I went in the second time and the cashier already knew my name. Not a single complaint as of now on any employee. I will say they are rather slow to both take orders and get the coffee to you. They could speed things up a bit. If you're in a hurry I wouldn't go here. If you have 15-20 mins then this is a good place to go. read more

Great coffee shop! This coffee shop is located in a large warehouse garage. There's tons of seating and it's very trendy. I was worried it would be really hot as there's no AC but there's enough air flow and shade to keep it relatively cool most days unless it's REALLY HOT. It's a very popular place for students to come study. Their drinks are amazing and still reasonably priced. About $7 for a strawberry matcha and $6 for a flavored latte. This is one of the only places I enjoy matcha at. Plenty of parking. 2 clean bathrooms. WiFi - but it's been really spotty lately unfortunately. They also sell plants and lots of merch. There's not a lot of food that they serve so come prepared. This place is mostly self serve but the workers are nice when ordering. read more

It's a pretty cool place with plenty of seating. They also make it a half outdoor spot... as if you open the garage door. The coffee menu is super simple so we opted for a latte. They don't have whole milk though so we did 2%. I just wish they had whole milk since we don't buy into that oat or almond milk stuff. The people behind the counter were really nice and helpful. Looks like I'm the odd man out, but I have to be the voice of descent on this one. I usually start with the positives and then work my way down the hill, but this time I'll start with the reasons I won't be stopping in again. I am unsure what the cachet is about a coffee shop NOT having any drip coffee . Not a worry for today, though, because I wanted to get a cappuccino or a latte because I really just love the foam! Turns out they have no actual sugar in the place. Everything they have is an alternative sweetener, including the syrup. No raw sugar and no granulated, refined sugar either. I had to get syrup! Do you know how many problems I have with that!? It was also freezing as one side has a rollup wall. It's kind of cool having it be open air like a brewery or something, but this might be one of the coldest days in Redlands and I went in to get cozy with a book with an awesome latte with a lot of foam , and there was no way to get cozy. It was literally freezing! On top of it. I had no foam. On the bright side, the young staff was very pleasant and kind as I find most Gen Z people to be. The overall vibe and layout of the place is pretty cool, but those back rooms with the candles for sale in my opinion would be better off with additional seating away from the open wall :-) Looks like this business is doing well and doesn't need my business to continue so via con Dios and onward and upward lol . read more

Despite their name, Fireproof is actually straight FIRE! I decided to take a very random spontaneous trip to the Redlands on a random Saturday just for this shop, as I'd occasionally run into an Instagram ad for them. The plaza itself is pretty deceiving. Being deep inland, it seems like a super quiet plaza. And even the front entrance area of Fireproof was calm with a few seats and their retro signage for their drinks. But I knew there was more to the story after hearing a lot of people down the hall. WHOA. After walking through the hallway, I realized this isn't just a coffee shop--this is a whole VIBE. You really feel the sense of community in the shop with different groups of all different demographics meeting and talking, studying, or just simply enjoying their Saturday morning. The cafe has a retro space theme but is really intricately and thoughtfully designed. Might I mention, they happened to be blasting some Andy Gibb (I'm an old soul when it comes to music) in the background so I was really vibing. I see that they recently expanded into the space next door, so there's plenty of room here. They even have a mini plant shop set up on an old school bus INSIDE the cafe (yes it's that big of a cafe!). The cashier, who I realized later after looking at their IG was one of the owners, makes it a point to really familiarize himself with each his customers and learn their names. He mistook me for someone who had been there before and welcomed me back, but I kindly informed him it was actually my first time. I still appreciated the warm welcome though, and it made me want to come back, even if it's a far drive! Definitely down to earth and someone you'd want to be friends with. He even talked me through my drink order, offering adjustments if needed. I ordered their Matcha from Mars, which is just a vanilla matcha latte. I don't like my drinks too sweet, so I'd definitely order this one half sweet. I also snagged one of their matcha brioche donuts, and let me tell you, do NOT skip on this one if you go! Super soft, super fluffy, not super sweet, light. *chef's kiss* So if you're passing through the area perhaps on your way to camping (or a music festival), feeling adventurous, or just simply looking for a new coffee shop, let me tell you: Fireproof is completely Foolproof! read more

My fiancé had been following the owners' establishment of the coffee place since the beginning, and we recently had the time to finally go try this place in person (instead of admiring it on social media).
