(L-R) Iced Sweetheart, Iced Americano, Kyoto Bliss
Miya E.

My go-to study spot and caffeine pick-me-up in San Bernardino! They present as a trendy, contemporary-coffee shop, but that doesn't sacrifice their personality. They seem to be very community-orientated and staff have been friendly to me. They also have flyers posted of social events in and around the area. Some additional perks include a free water station, several charging outlets, and a section for their stylish merch. I once tried the chicken pesto sandwich, which comes with ciabatta bread, chicken, cheese, avocado, pesto, tomato, greens--as well as a side of potato chips. It was a two-mealer for me and didn't feel super cohesive in flavor for some reason. The matcha/chocolate cookie I tried was okay and quite sweet. As for the drinks, they almost never miss! The double matcha (Kyoto-Bliss) may sometimes be a bit watery for my palate, but if you wait until the cream top settles it feels more full bodied. The San-Banana matcha is popular, but can sometimes have a watered down banana/matcha flavor. I enjoy the coffee and have tried a range of their speciality drinks, such as the Sweetheart or Hermosa, which are on the sweeter end. I also like their Americano, which is simple and not very acidic. I've yet to try more from their rotating seasonal menus and will be back for more! :)

Hermosa- Espresso vanilla and strawberry foam decaf with almond milk

First time trying them and it was popping. A little bit of a wait but worth it. I got a Hermosa- Espresso vanilla and strawberry foam decaf with almond milk. I was happy they had some decaf options since I've been trying to cut back but I love coffee and espresso. It has a great seat down vibe inside if you needed to work or stuffy or just chat with some friends. Will be going back to try some other yummy drinks and maybe a treat as well. Staff is also very nice and helpful.

I can't explain how much I love this place. Great people and amazing coffee! Shoutout to my favorite Barista, Marco. I'm pretty sure he knows all the regulars by first name and their order, he is always so kind My go to order here is a Banana Foster with oat milk, banana cream, and cinnamon powder also love the San Banana both are sooooo delicious!

Signature Matcha Flight: The San Banana, Nube De Coco, Kyoto Bliss, & Te Quiero Matcha

As a matcha lover, I've tried a lot of spots around the Inland Empire, and Nine Eight Five Coffee is easily one of the best matcha places in the IE. The matcha here is bright green, well-prepared, and clearly crafted with care. You can really tell they use quality matcha and take their time with the preparation. My friend and I decided to get the Signature Matcha Flight: The San Banana, Nube De Coco, Kyoto Bliss, and Te Quiero Matcha. We wanted to try several of their drinks at once, and honestly the price is pretty reasonable. The whole flight is $14.50, which comes out to about $3.63 per drink, so it's a great way to explore different flavors without committing to a full cup. Here's how I'd rank them from favorite to least favorite: Kyoto Bliss - My absolute favorite. Super balanced, smooth, and the matcha flavor really shines. San Banana - Surprisingly amazing. I usually don't like banana-flavored drinks, but this one tasted like banana pudding layered over a matcha latte. So good. Nube De Coco - Light, creamy, and refreshing with a nice coconut flavor. Te Quiero Matcha - This one was my least favorite mainly because the strawberry flavor was a bit too strong for me, which overpowered the matcha. The ambiance is really calming. The café is spacious with lots of seating, and when we visited there were a lot of people studying or working on laptops. It definitely feels like a great study spot or place to hang out for a while. Also, the staff were super nice and helpful. I had a few questions about the drinks and they were really friendly when explaining everything. Overall, if you're a matcha fan in the IE, this spot is definitely worth the visit. I'll definitely be back to try more of their drinks.

Stopped by this coffee shop since I was in the area and it had good reviews, but I thought the drinks here were mid. I ordered the San Banana which is a banana matcha, but my drink tasted watered down and the matcha flavor didn't show through. The coffee drinks were standard too and nothing special. There was a line out the door when we arrived, and the line moved slowly. The cashier kept going back and forth between taking orders and making drinks, which slowed things down. The inside is spacious with lots of tables and seating. I wanted to like this place based off the good reviews, but maybe it was an off day, and it fell short for me.

Menu odyssey continues... Tried a new array of drinks as to further expand my 985 experience and taste and here is as follows: Vanilla latte: creamy and straight to the point. Not overly sweet and pleasantly light. Cookie butter: Also creamy; has a thicker texture due to the biscoff flavoring and cookie. San Banana: tried and true fave

I enjoyed Nine Eight Five Coffee! Parking was easy and convenient, which is always a plus. The drinks came out quickly. I tried the strawberry matcha and it had a really nice, balanced flavor. The matcha itself tasted high-quality, not overly bitter, and paired really well with the strawberry as a refreshing drink. Service was great and the staff were friendly. There were a handful of tables to do work at. Overall, a good spot and I'd definitely recommend it.

pretty solid. The Kyoto Matcha is DELISHHH it tastes like stagger or rok matcha which is great. The Te Quiero Matcha is alright, the strawberry taste is too strong for my liking. Probably the best matcha in San Bernardino

First time coming here. Friendly cashier and barista who gave me my drink. I ordered the Kyoto Bliss. Very amazing. I'll come back here again to try another drink.

Good coffee! Great service. Would recommend. Good punch of caffeine. Cold Brew cafe de olla was good.

Iced Hermosa and Banana Matcha
Helen N.

I've heard of this coffee place before and this was my first time here! I've heard their banana drinks are their signature, but I decided to try their Hermosa, which is a latte with vanilla and strawberry foam. It was so delicious and the strawberry flavor is subtle, but not artificial at all. The coffee shop itself is very cozy and the lines do get long, but the service is exceptional and it's impressive how they take orders while making their drinks! Would definitely come back to try another drink.

Iced Spanish Latte
Angela N.

WOW. The Kyoto Bliss matcha was one of the best I've had in the IE. It was creamy and the matcha flavor was delicious. I also tried their Spanish Latte and it was solid. The area isn't that great but the coffee shop itself is nice. Bright and inviting. Everyone working there was so nice. I'll definitely be back!

We enjoyed some tea blends, golden fish balls and perfectly crispy fries. Our drinks were a nice range to see what Rapha had to offer. A blended strawberry & cream was a smooth blend resembling an Italian ice sort of shake. The lychee butterfly tea with sea salt foam was a tad sweet I would maybe do 50% less sugar next time. But the flavor was nice and refreshing. The featured flavor was a nice Thai tea brown sugar with cold foam and boba. This was also a tad too sweet for my liking. I would maybe try it with less sweetness. It's a nice option to have customizations for individual tastes making each visit more enjoyable. The golden fish balls.. yes golden are a bit hot right when they come out. Be careful! It has a sort of glutinous rice chewy exterior with a juicy filling. It was actually pretty good. Definitely not a first date kinda food, more like yelpers wanting to be more adventurous kinda day. The fries were nice and crispy with the perfect spice level. Dips include a spice Thai, ranch or ketchup. They have a game shelf for guests to enjoy while sipping on their favorite drinks. Great to extend visit with some good laughs and entertainment. Parking available on the side and back lots. Shared with the other businesses it can get a little congested. A cute little stop to spend a few hours with some good drinks and good company.

Wanted to give this place a try.. Unfortunately my entire family including myself didn't enjoy the sweet potato pie which is what this bakery is known for. Not sure what it is, maybe it has too many spices in it? It was a little too sweet and a bit too dense. Crust was perfect, flaky and buttery. We also grabbed the Sweet Potato Cheesecake. That was devoured. Not too dense and creamy. Sweet potato was swirled into the cheesecake which helped it from being too tangy. Underneath the crust had a layer of granulated sugar mixed in with some crumbly crust. That part was a bit sweet but I just scooped it away and it was fine.
