Baklava Iced Latte & a macchiato
Te-see B.

Met one of my dear yelp friends here on my way to Palm Springs. It was an easy on/off of the 210 Freeway! Very cute inside and they also have a few tables out front which ofc this lizard wanted to sit at. Thank you Leilani for humoring me:) I wanted to be a little daring with my coffee choice so I went with their special, an Iced Baklava latte...it was very good...but no, this Middle Eastern girl did not think it tasted like Baklava, although it did have the honey... Rachael was our barista and she was very nice. *Free Wifi *Plenty of parking in the lot *Hot & Cold options *They also serve pastries & other food items

FIRST TIMER. I was looking for a new coffee shop and came across this place - thank you fellow yelpers! Wow! Great spot in the middle of the Redlands shopping center across the movie theater. As I walked in there was a group of people already enjoying their drinks. I walked up to order and reviewed the menu carefully. I decided to get the large golden iced latte $6.85 and a croissant $4.50 + credit card processing fee $0.35 + 15% tip = $13.90 The lady behind the register was very kind and gave off down to earth vibes! I took my drink and croissant to go but the moment I sipped the coffee and the bite of the croissant I felt like I was in the Pantene commercial where the women's hair gets blown away! It was delicious ! All of it! I can't wait to come back and try their other items.

Loved this great find! Visiting for the first time met up with a friend. Customer service was amazing! Totally welcomed as soon as I stepped through the door. It's almost library like. Everyone inside was working diligently and respectful of the quiet atmosphere that was happening on the day I visited with a friend. We opted for an umbrella patio table so we could speak at normal volume. Not sure if this is an everyday occurrence but it was pleasant. Tap to pay available. Located at the mountain grove shopping center in Redlands. Just next to fish grill & share tea. Scattered parking along the row of eateries or full lot just behind the building. Restrooms for customers available inside.

First time coming here. When you walk in it's a lot bigger than I thought it would be. The atmosphere seems chill and laid back a good place to go to do some work or have a nice latte or tea . I ordered the baklava latte with 2% milk this is made with pistachio and honey . They also have the options of almond milk or half and half. My wife ordered the chai tea. Both were good. I enjoyed it . No bitter taste . I also ordered a black tea with a stevia for sweetness . Also was fresh and very tasty They also have specials depending on the season, they offer three types of sandwiches as well as some pastries. Definitely will be back service was fast and really friendly

Iced Honey Cinnamon Latte

My go to here is the honey cinnamon latte (hot or iced). Today I deviated and got the iced baklava latte and lingonberry pastry. I'm glad I did because both were good choices! Meek House is a very cute coffee shop in the middle of the Mountain Grove shopping center. There's always people in here lounging and chatting while enjoying their drinks in a chill environment.

Located in the Mountain Grove shopping center. If you are looking for good coffee and friendly baristas, then this is your spot. Beautifully, designed cafe ! Simple but sweet. They do have some baked goods but choices are limited so keep this in mind when visiting this fine coffee shop. Depending on the time, it could be a wonderful place to relax and enjoy a good cup of espresso / coffee . It's one of our go to places when we visit Loma Linda.

I always love to try a new coffee shop, found this one and stopped by was greeted the best and kinda felt brushed off. I ordered the pumpkin spice latte lacked flavor and honestly just tasted like a plan latte with just espresso and milk.

I tried their matcha latte and wish it was less grainy and sweeter, and also wished their poets tea latte was sweeter... but service was very helpful! This place is a very popular study spot so expect limited seating and limited outlets but a cute spot to check out if you're in the area!

Baklava Latte

I came to Meek to get some work done. It's a cute cafe with enough space for people who want to study, read or meet a couple of friends. I got the Baklava Latte which was $6.58 for a large. The workers were great with their recommendations. I must say the coffee was very average - I don't really taste the baklava flavor; I think there are definitely better cafes for the same price point which is why I am giving this place a 3/5 stars.

Pumpkin pie latte & honey cinnamon latte

The store was very cute and cozy. However, we were not a big fan of the drinks. I got the Pumpkin Spice Latte, which tasted nothing like Pumpkin but simply milk and burnt espresso. My friend got the honey cinnamon latte which although had more flavor, still had the burnt taste to it.

The Meek House serves some of the best coffee in town. I tried the vanilla latte with blueberry cold foam and it was delicious. The latte wasn't too sweet and the blueberry added just the right amount of tartness to balance out the sweet. There is a surcharge if you pay by card to make sure you bring cash with you. There's a decent amount of seating indoors and some tables outside. Lots of people and students working at all times of the day. It's located in a busy shopping area but there is a lot of parking available within a short distance.

Needed a cool drink after having breakfast . Great service and very relaxing music being played ! Ordered the Caramel Latte which was served with 2% milk and extra sweet , the way I love it!!!

To start our day in Redlands, we got coffee at the Meek House, it was in a shopping center and this coffee spot if popular for students, it was packed with students on their laptop. I ordered a regular rose latte with oat milk. I love how they have a table reserved for people who are not doing any work on their laptops. The phone reception was spotty for me but I was able to connect to their wifi and their password was Pumpkin Szn. Love my rose latte!

Ask the Community - The Meek House

Do they have sit-down dining during covid?

Hi! We do no have indoor dining. There are tables available outside for dining.

Do they still have those strange policies for students? ie. No Wifi after 5pm?

No I think they did away with that cause of bad press on Yelp!

Do they have bigger size drinks?

Their sizes are pretty much set in stone from my understanding.

This review is a cumulative review of about five total trips:…read more Food/Drink: There are plenty of pastries offered but i've only tried the coffee cake they once offered. It was fair priced, a large slice, good presentation, good amount of crumble, not dry, and not too sweet. My mom enjoyed hers as well. As for the coffee, it is amazing. I tried the iced oat milk meteorite latte and it was absolutely amazing. I usually ask for half sweet, but the drinks here are, as the owner said, "balanced." That is my go to drink. My mom loves their matcha. I've had it as well and it is just as amazing. They had a strawberry matcha with strawberry sauce at the bottom and strawberry cold foam on top. However, the sauce was too sweet for us so we did plain matcha and strawberry foam and it was 10/10. I wish they brought this one back. They now have like a triple matcha that is also really good. It is matcha with matcha foam and a matcha dust. Really great. Service: The service is really great. The employees are welcoming, patient, and kind. I also really appreciate that the cafe accepts reusable cups. That says a lot about their environmental conscious. This is actually one of the reasons I return. I do not need a discount on the coffee for using my own reusable cup, however this might incentivize others to bring their own and return. A rewards program would also be good. Ambiance: Plenty of seating -- plenty. There is a bus inside with plants for sale. There are a lot of retro and vintage trinkets with a hint of plants and space. I enjoy that there are couches as well as tables and chairs. There are outlets available but I think there could be more. One reason why I do not tend to work here though is because it gets so hot there in the summer. They do have fans but, I like a nice cool environment. There is plenty of parking as well. (I do not have pics of my drinks because I use my reusable purple hydroflask tumbler so, not much to show)

I have never experienced coffee like this before. It is 100% worth the stop. The banana latte is my go-to and honestly I have never wanted to try anything else. It is that good. The espresso itself is perfection. It is smooth, no bitterness at all, and the quality is always consistent. Every time I go, it tastes just as good, if not better than the last. Coming from someone who used to drink Starbucks all the time, I can confidently say I will not be going back. I will always stop here instead. I LOVE this place and recommend it to everyone. It was one of the most unique drink options for an early morning. I had waltzed right in a few minutes after opening. The owner had barely put out the parking lot sign, when I had stepped out of my car. It's hidden inside the lot and if not the signs, I wouldn't have spotted it. Upon walking in, I noticed the catching art and design of the portafilter. I stared at the design and menu before ordering. I was the first customer of the day! The owner made small talk with me, but it was definitely pretty early. He was friendly and kind, as he was making my order. Watching him brew the coffee in front of me, while holding a casual conversation was a nice experience in the shop. He also gave me a coffee sleeve with my iced drink, just because I asked (I keep sleeves as part of a collection). The banana latte is strong. After drinking half of it, I can feel the caffeine hit, which is rare for sweet drinks. You can taste the coffee, banana, and milk. Definitely a bang for my buck. The overall aesthetic, taste, conversation, and price makes me want to visit again when needed!

The inside has a really cozy and aesthetic vibe, and one thing I thought was super cool is that you can actually sit and draw, then put your artwork up in the shop. It gives the place a really creative and community feel that makes it stand out from other tea spots. The worker was super nice and helpful, especially since I was being really indecisive about what to get. They took their time to explain things and helped me decide without making it feel rushed at all. I got the matcha latte, and I absolutely loved it. It was smooth, well balanced, and just really comforting without being too heavy or overly sweet. I also tried a few drinks off my friends' orders, like the Assam + Oat and the Barley + Sea Cream. The Assam + Oat had a really deep, bold tea flavor that paired nicely with the creamy oat milk, making it smooth but still strong. The Barley + Sea Cream was more unique, with a light roasted, nutty taste from the barley and a rich, slightly salty cream top that made it really interesting and different in a good way. It's a really cozy spot that highlights the tea experience in a simple but thoughtful way, and I'd definitely come back.

Hoji shared the same parking lot with a coffee shop we're familiar with! On a Sunday afternoon, there was plenty of parking. When you walk up to the store, there isn't a sign on the outside. Before walking in, there's also a posted sign that says only 10 people at a time. We counted about 6 people, and proceeded to walk in. The decor is timeless and vintage. Super cool to look at and enjoy. We turned around and there was the cashier. It definitely is a small as can be. We took a bit of time looking at the menu and then deciding our drinks. We were a bit indecisive, but settled on their Rose Salted Cream and their Hojicha Black Sesame. The cashier was a bit interesting and didn't bother to help us or explain anything. He had us repeat our order a few times out of inattentiveness. It wasn't loud in there, but he definitely wasn't listening. Immediately after our order, he goes on his phone. Another worker had finished making a drink for a customer, and had to nudge the cashier to let him know the drink was ready. Even then, he wasn't on alert about it and made a face at the customer who stood up to grab the drink. Our drinks came out fairly quickly. We took our photos and left to sit in the car. It was quite small and stuffy in there. Our drinks were delightful! You can definitely taste the hojicha. The black sesame didn't overpower the drink, as for the rose salted cream, it was flowery enough. The boba itself was definitely handmade and perfectly chewy. I can understand why this store's drinks are a favorite. I deducted a star because of the service and attitude. We walked out the door saying goodbye, and even then, they didn't seem to care. The customer service here is lacking, but at least the drinks are decent. I might wait to see if any changes are made to their workers before coming back to try again.

BUT IN THE INLAND EMPIRE BABY. it was so smooth, whisked, and CREAMY. the vanilla cream top really topped it off, it was perfectly balanced and not insanely sweet. This drink took me by surprise! Really enjoyed it! CHOCOLATE SEMOLINA OLIVE OIL LOAF It wasn't bad, but a bit disappointed that it was straight up chocolate loaf. Technically, it is more of a cocoa loaf, as it is not sweet nor is there chocolate in it. However, it had a lovely spongy, bouncy texture. Flavor-wise, it's nothing special especially with the long name and all. SUNSHINE MATCHA LATTE (Iced) Nekohama matcha. Latte was a bit sweet. But you can taste the Earl Grey and matcha. Got it with whole milk. It made it creamy, which was good. I did taste a hint of lemon in it as well. Honestly did not like that extra lemon flavor, as it distracted from the Earl Grey itself. I don't think the lemon was necessary. There was citrus flavor, but not tartness. I think citrus peel would have been better if they wanted an extra citrus flavor. Overall, it wasn't bad except the lemon flavor. Really threw me off. CUSTOMER SERVICE Service was nice. Recommended drinks were good. INDOOR & OUTDOOR SEATS A-PLENTY Ambiance had a retro feel, which was fun. Indoor was packed! No tables or seats available. Smaller tables for 2. Outdoor tables and seats were available. Big groups can be seated outdoors with larger tables. Bathroom available. PARKING LOT Small-ish parking lot. Parking lot was packed. Given how packed it was inside, there were a few spots for parking. There is also free street parking as well. Love the drink options here and would love to return when I'm in the area!
