First time. I'll try one more time and add to this review. We wanted an afternoon pick me up, I remembered my coworker mentioned this place. So I told my boyfriend let's go try it out. Anyways, it's located in business suite off Alabama. A little hidden. I think more signs out front would really be helpful. It was quiet with 2 others in there when we came in. I was asking for recommendations and the guy (possible owner) didn't give us any. Literally, not a single recommendation. I was trying to initiate conversation and nothing!!!! Boo! We didn't try any of the food items because there was only one biscuit in there. The place is small and cozy but the vibes were dull, even with the music. I think maybe just an off day but the customer service was also super dry. We ordered: Mango lassi matcha: 3/10 super watery and lacks flavor. Cold latte with cafe de olla syrup: 5/10 lacks flavor and I didn't taste any cafe de olla. I did love that they sell Deaux on Monday and Fridays. (My favorite must have in Redlands) but I overall wasn't happy with this experience. Customer service should always be priority, especially when selling expensive coffee. No non-sense menu. I came too late in the day for treats in their display case. Ordered the iced jasmine tea drink with lavender and vanilla cream. Interesting and soothing combo known as La La Land. I noticed they sell beans, merch, and cold brew in store. While on the smaller side of coffee shops, I feel they actually setup the space quite efficiently. It is cozy yet spacious at the same time thanks to the well thought out layout and tastefully decor. They have a restroom but I didn't check it out this go-around. I spent $63 and gave a 10% tip on pastries and coffee. My cappuccino did not taste like coffee. I felt like I was given a cup of milk. One of the pastries had a piece of pineapple and a cherry- looked appetizing...it was burnt. Literally. Apostle brew stands out to me because they make all of their syrups in house and as a coffee over, you can immediately tell when something is made fresh or pre packaged. I tried the vanilla latte and it was probably the best vanilla latte I've ever had at a coffee shop in a long time. That said, we gave this shop many tries (until we finished a punch card even!) and while the coffee is great the service is off. The gentleman who seemed to run it barely acknowledged us almost every time. It felt like he was doing us a forced favor. To the point we gave up. Unfortunately, on my third visit, it was disappointing again. The cold brew tasted very watered down, and the cold foam wasn't thick or creamy. Guys I WANT so badly to love apostle brew, and it has some great things going for it. Pros: usually has seating available, coffee flavors are fun. Bathroom is always super clean. Espresso shots are always pulled well. Cons: most of the seating has no back (all stools/bench) so can be kind of brutal. There's one small couch. Prices are STEEP. A 16oz iced latte (flavored) will run you $7.6. The music is also incredibly hit or miss, and can often be quite loud. Notes: the coffee has a distinct sort of nutty flavor! To be honest, I'm not sure how I feel about it! I think it's something you just have to try! Overall I like apostle brew, and it has so much potential, I just don't LOVE it. It was my first time coming here; I ordered the rootbeer float (rootbeer cold brew w/ vanilla bean cold foam) and it was delicious!! It tasted exactly like rootbeer; I liked it because I don't really opt for cold brews because the cold brew over-powers other flavors (in my opinion), but I did like this cold brew. I would recommend this coffee shop. It is a little hard to spot from the outside at first, but it is right next to Noobs. The interior was cute, very office vibes; they had a mini cornhole game and a mini "skate park" for the tech decks they had there - great for myself who loves little trinkets. Apostle Brew is a straight-up, coffee only establishment. They are really a roaster that sells some retail coffee. I've included a pic of their menu - coffee and teas only. It's a very small place tucked inside of a retail center - it's still quaint and comfortable. The barista was very helpful and accommodating in adjusting their drinks to our order. In fact, the bigger sign to look for is the "Amend and Revised" sign, the actual Apostle sign is right next to it on their shared window. You can see from my pics that the interior has clean, fresh lines. But without food, most beverages are taken away. There is a fair amount of normal on-the-way-to-work customers. The homemade pop tarts are delicious! The orange curd was outstanding. Worth a visit! You may miss this place because it's tucked back and a little hidden but it's a fun find. Very small inside however comfortable with a couch, some benches and some high top tables. The only food selection was the pop tarts. The merch was very cute and overall it was very comfortable. Walking in here it is always so clean and well put together. We typically stop in before my kids Jiu Jitsu class, and the owner Ray always remembers our name and even gives stickers to my kids. The service is so friendly, and the coffee comes out so quickly. The pastries they serve are also good.
