Mango sticky rice matcha was delicious, the salmon bagel very good but the blueberry scone is heaven I am not a sweet person and I haven't finished and I am thinking of getting another one. This is my new favorite coffee shop, we've been here for more than an hour enjoying our food, the music is very chill and the sofa is very comfortable. People here is kind and the kitchen is open (I love the fact that I can see how they cook and how clean everything is) definitely my new favorite matcha place

drink: When I am on the road I am always looking for coffee roasters. This just makes there vanilla latte with oat milk to perfection. service: order at the counter and they will call your name when its ready. I dont bother looking anything else because I had to hit the road quick. ambiance: this place is clean, nice spot to study, catch up or hang outside and relax. no need to explain much, this review is just for me. I just found this is a chain! Sweet, ill be looking for more places along my exploration of cali.

I've been looking up different coffee places to try and I found this one on my way to work. It looks so nice inside, the baristas were so nice and drink came out fast! My bagel was toasted to perfection and the barista even gave me a percentage off my next visit because it was my first time trying!

    Honey Cinnamon Latte

As cool as the band Arcade Fire and the eye pleasing Indie vibes to go with it. This shop definitely rocks when it comes to the coffee and they have dine in service to go with it. I ordered an espresso shot to start with so I could taste what I was getting myself into. After having it, I was ready to go! My second drink was their Gibraltar which was a Cortado and I already knew it was going to be good. My last drink was a basic Honey Cinnamon Latte which was well balanced. All the drinks delivered what I wanted and I was definitely satisfied. The space is really big with plenty of seating and it has the look that says we're here to preserve coffee culture. Now it may not be cute but if you want good coffee then here you go! I was also vibing to the playlist that consisted of head bobbing deep house. Overall it was a positive experience and the baristas are super chill. That's my take, Peace.

My first time at Arcade was great! I stopped by for coffee after many recommendations and was surprised with the breakfast selection. The food was delish and I love that they serve their coffee in glass when you're dining in! Such a cute place, love the decor and the overall vibe. Service was great. Everyone was so polite and made great recommendations! I'll be back for sure!

    Steak sandwich
    Vahe A.

I had the steak sandwich and it was pretty good. The bread was nice and fresh, the meat was cooked perfectly, and the sauce brought everything together very well. Our party got 3 different food items and everyone enjoyed their food, so that tells a lot. The pastry also looked pretty good. The wait time though was pretty horrible - I think I waited around 30-40 minutes for my sandwich! I just hope that is not their normal flow.

Single origin espresso with sparkling water.

I got espresso. I tried the single origin and the house blend. The single origins had good crema, medium body, with notes of chocolate and fruit/citrus. It wasn't bitter or burnt. Solid execution 4/5. Probably more flavor clarity would have made it perfect. The house blend was also good. Not bitter or burnt, good crema and slightly more creamy texture than the single origin. I tasted more acidity in this shot but it wasn't overpowering 3.5/5. A solid choice if you like espresso.

    vanilla latte
    Marie G.

I ordered an iced vanilla latte and thought it was good. The coffee tasted a bit burnt. I would probably try different beans next time and ask for a different syrup flavored latte. Overall it was just okay. It gets pretty busy on the weekends, so I'd definitely recommend going on a weekday or earlier in the morning if you can. Parking can also be a bit difficult but not too bad.

Coming back to my college town and seeing all these cool places make me wish we had this when I went to school out here. Arcade is a vibe and such a neat set up to grab coffee, a snack, or do some work or study. They have a nice seating area and they do tastings as well. The cold brew hits the spot and has a nice flavor. This will be my go-to when stopping by Riverside from now on. Parking: in front or on street and side Prices: $5-$8 Dietary: vegan and vegetarian options with coffee and tea drinks Staff: nice and helpful Vibe: great for studying, working, or meeting up with friends

This is a great neighborhood place in the downtown Riverside area. Ordered the honey cinnamon latte (hot) and the jade cloud jasmine green tea (iced). Both were really good. Also ordered the simple breakfast with bacon and herb potatoes -- so yummy! Both outdoor and indoor seating, pet friendly (outside) and street parking.

    Chocolate Concha
    Christian Z.

This coffee shop was a great experience overall. Parking was a little tricky at first since it's street parking only, but I was able to find a free spot without too much trouble. The menu was pretty straightforward. I ordered a 10 oz latte and a chocolate concha, which came out to $11.53. While pour-overs are usually my go-to, they weren't available when I visited, which surprised me since I noticed signage mentioning a tasting room on certain days. That said, the staff were very friendly and helpful, and the experience more than made up for it. It was really cool getting to see them roasting coffee while I was there. I've always wanted to walk into a coffee shop and see the roasting process in action. The latte was excellent--you can tell the beans they roast are high quality. The chocolate concha was also a standout, easily the best version I've had. The filling was rich and chocolatey, and the texture of the pastry was just right. Overall, a solid spot with great coffee and pastries. I'd definitely recommend checking it out.

Arcade is one of the more quality cafes out in the area. Warm welcoming service. Inside seating has charging stations to keep your juice flowing. There's also a few bench seats outside to enjoy the day. Limited parking spaces or street parking with a short stroll. This used to be an old video store, one of the last standing dvd rental spots. After arcade took over they gave it new life and kept the location alive with wonderful coffee. Freshly roasted in house. They also have bakery items available. Two other locations one in downtown and the other in canyon crest. A community staple.

Ask the Community - Arcade Coffee Roasters

Are people allowed to study there?

Yes, whenever I'm there I see people studying all the time. It's a great place for that because they have a lot of seating, and everyone who works there is super nice!

Does the staff follow COVID precautions and procedures? I heard some of the staff members are not wearing face masks, which is very concerning and disappointing especially during this difficult time.

You heard right. Staff are not wearing masks. 2 people behind registers did, but everyone in the food prep/ cook area did not. It's seems as if most visitors are aware this is a no mask kind of business.

    Do they have wifi?

    Yes

    Is almond milk available?

There are a few milk alternatives, almond is one of them!

Hows the parking situation here? Is there a private lot? Street parking?

Mostly street parking. There's maybe 3-4 spots on the private lot.

    Gluten free & vegan pastries?

    Yep!

    Do they serve breakfast?

Yes, they have daily pastries and weekend brunch. Also pizza on thurs and fri.

    Any organic options? :)

    Yes

I didn't want to enter any cafe very small/ with petite tables or judgement if I sat down for 1.5 hr to work on my computer. I bought a sausage croissant which was just ok, but still a nice quick breakfast item. I was able to sit in a comfy chair with an outlet source & table to conference in my meeting. I was left unbothered & comfortable the whole time, which I greatly appreciated. There are several lounge chairs, tables & areas to space out to work, read, lounge, etc! I would certainly return another day to try out their coffee menu and those earl grey lavender scones (wish I saw those first!!) The barista was kind & the atmosphere very pleasant!

SERVICE here is VERY BAD!…read more The service at Back to the Grind was genuinely one of the most unprofessional customer service experiences I've had. While I was in the middle of placing my order, an older gentleman wearing glasses abruptly walked away from me mid-conversation to speak with someone he knew. No acknowledgment, no "I'll be right back," nothing. I was left standing there confused and waiting while they casually chatted amongst themselves. At the same time, my husband approached another employee -- a young woman with very long black hair and a pink bandana (see pic)-- simply to ask for the WiFi password. Without even looking at him, she told him he needed to "buy something first." When he explained that I was already ordering, she repeated herself in a dismissive tone and continued making sandwiches without making eye contact once. What stood out most wasn't just the lack of hospitality, but the overall attitude from multiple staff members. The environment felt cold, dismissive, and inconvenienced by customers being there at all. Ironically, the café advertises community classes like yoga and live meditation classes on the window, yet basic customer service and professionalism seem completely absent. The food itself was fine, which is why this review is specifically about the service experience. Even after how poorly we were treated, I still left a tip because I refuse to match that level of disrespect. Management seriously needs to address the customer service culture here. One rude interaction can happen anywhere -- but multiple employees displaying the same behavior reflects a larger issue.

How are people supposed to know how much things cost? If here is enough room to have the name of the product on it, it's not hard to put the number of dollars it costs right there next to it. I hateeeee when coffee shops do this! The coffee was an iced pistachio latte for $8.50, and various food items that we had no idea the totals until charged for the bill, I don't remember the exact number but I was kind of shocked at the total price of everything which I think was high $30s-40s? The interior was super cute with their red chairs and their story concept on the walls. The seats were comfortable and it was pretty crowded in the coffee shop with students and people working on their laptops. The food wasn't that good. For the prices we paid I kind of expected more, especially from that chicken roll item. The chicken was very dry and the flavors were lacking. It tasted like something you can get frozen from the stores that you just microwave or air fry.I enjoyed the cheesecake, but I didn't really like the pistachio milk cake, it tasted Joe they just mixed their milk solution with pistachio pudding powder (based off of the to bright/unnatural green color of it) and didn't flavor it with any real pistachio nuts. I enjoyed the coffee as well however I feel that the prices of everything was expensive especially when we didn't even know the prices of 3/4 of the things we purchased. I understand that we can ask how much each thing cost but how annoying would it be to ask about every single one. It would be very annoying and such a hassle for the cashier too. On the plus side parking is easy bc it shares it in a pretty big plaza. Another upside is that it's close to a ton of good food options in that area as well. ---- Overall: I wouldn't be back, expensive, don't know the price of their food bc none of it is listed out, and the food is hit or miss, interior decor is very cute tho

Honestly, the line is mainly due to the customers taking their sweet time while ordering. You might have a hard time finding a table to sit at inside, but they also have outside seating. It comes with grilled chicken, lettuce and tomato, all on a toasted sourdough bread covered with pesto and cheese. For the side I typically get the Italian pasta salad, which is always delicious. One thing about this sandwhich is that the chicken will never cover the entire bread and it will never be distributed evenly. So you will always have one half that has less chicken and ends up being part veggie pesto sandwhich, which is still worth it. The other favorite is a turkey club sandwhich on a croissant.
