Stumbled on this coffee shop and was so happy I did. I feel like this area has had some major improvements and this place is one of them. Interior is so big and welcoming with seating and cool plants. I got a cold brew Mont Blanc and it was so perfect that I was contemplating getting another one to go. Housemade syrups and a seasonal menu makes this 5 stars for me. read more

Barista yelled at me because I ordered my drink by the register instead of ordering in front of "the drink menu". Also, they had a huge line out the door. Seems like they're understaffed yet want it that way.... The shop seems to promote inappropriate behavior among staff members towards customers. This place definitely needs to hire someone to help them improve bar flow and customer service. read more

Super cute college coffee shop. We ordered a flat white and vanilla latte. Both were super smooth and tasty. You can tell it's done right when the latte design holds its shape until you reach the bottom of the cup! Staff were very quick and friendly too. We'll be back! read more

I've driven by this location and I had no idea it was an Arcade! It looks unsuspecting on the outside, with the gray and the aideo town sign. Parking can be a bit tricky. Theres a couple spots in the front and to the side is a small parking lot. There is also street parking. There's two benches outside and inside, it's bright with the white walls and wood. It's a contemporary space, light, airy, and to the side, is the roaster. Up front, the counter and various menus. There's a seasonal, food, and regular menu. There were several people inside but plenty of space to sit. I ordered a small banana bread matcha. The barista was making my drink as I was paying. He was polite. It was $8 with some change. My drink tasted exactly like banana! It was good. There a cool vibe to this place. I would definitely come back and try a food item too. read more

Holy roasters this place is good! Parking is rough but good amount of seating inside. The location is hidden in the industrial area behind North high and near UCR off university and Iowa. The banana bread matcha was really good. But the avocado toast was the highlight for me. Drink service was fast but the wait for food will be 20+ min just keep that in mind! Staff were friendly. I had been searching for this location and stumbled up on it. Highly recommend. read more

I've been coming to Arcade since the very beginning but these past two years the Tasting Room location ONLY, has been very unwelcoming. Today really emphasized that. We were not greeted neither at the register nor the door. We were ignored while the person in the beanie and another worker discuss leaving their ex at the Mexican border (which in itself really distasteful to hear in any context). There was tension behind the bar that the customers felt. So I had to question if everyone was okay? They answered yes but still felt like an intrusion for being there. When I called out that they didn't say hi and ignored us to talk about, a whole other conversation. They lied and denied. I love your coffee but the tasting room is the most unwelcoming place. It's always so hostile and no one wants to be there. Please bring the cash back it's pretty classist to not have it. read more

Arcade Coffee Roasters is a place for coffee enthusiasts and non-coffee enthusiasts alike--they have options for all ages and tastes. This is a very unique shop. I must say I was hesitant to go here for a few reasons (none of them great, to be honest). First, the name--I didn't get the connection between "arcade" and "coffee" (then again what does that matter). Second, the location: it's in an odd building that doesn't scream typical coffee shop, with restricted and unusual parking. After overcoming these nonsensical, self-created mental barriers, we walked inside and saw that this is a sophisticated operation with wonderful products, employees, and a truly unique experience. When we entered, we saw a very nice menu with pictures showcasing the drinks and highlighting what makes each one special. The barista was super casual and friendly. She asked over the counter if we had any questions and told us to let her know when we were ready. Her welcoming approach was perfect for first-time visitors. We ordered the Mango Sticky Rice matcha and the Cherry Glaze matcha. Both were delicious, and it was clear that quality is a major focus here. The matchas weren't overloaded with syrup like some places; instead, they tasted naturally infused--subtle, balanced, and perfect. For snacks, we tried the salmon bagel and the blueberry scone. Both were excellent. The bagel was fresh and packed with flavor, again showcasing quality ingredients. The scone was one of the best I've had from a coffee shop--it tasted like it came straight from a bakery. The blueberries were large and bursting with flavor, and the texture was ideal: not too hard, not too soft. It was just right. (They should name it "Goldilocks"!) In addition to coffee, matcha, and chai tea, they also offer craft sodas and other choices for any mood. We decided to enjoy our drinks and snacks inside. As we sat, we noticed they have their own bean-roasting machine (totally unique!). I've never seen one in person, but for coffee lovers who enjoy fresh roasts, this means they bring in green coffee beans, roast them on-site, and produce the freshest, highest-quality product possible. (You could say "they have the beans" -- a little Curb Your Enthusiasm reference for fans of the show.) Aside from having "the beans," they also had a projector showing the World Cup. There are plenty of seating options: tables with chairs, standing desks, sofas, and benches. We will definitely be returning to this little slice of heaven on Earth. read more

This might be the best latte I've ever had in the IE. I really enjoyed the low-key ambiance this coffee shop offers. I came here and we ordered 3 large draft lattes to-go on a weekday afternoon. The cashier was great and let us know they come with oat milk automatically included with the price. The coffees came out extremely fast. I absolutely loved my latte. I wish I lived closer because I would definitely be a regular here. My only gripe is the limited parking but it's definitely worth the walk. read more

stopped by this cutesy, casual cafe for a brunch with friends and it's located in a plaza that's predominantly next to corporate buildings and the only available parking seemed like it was either street meter parking or the parking structure. seats and tables are very limited here and may be hard to find availability as people do study and work inside here. as for the food and drinks, i ordered their raspberry matcha with oat milk which really tasted like the fruit loop cereal. i do wish it was a little bit creamier but the flavor was yummy, not so much matcha flavor though. i also tried the huevos rancheros and i'd give it a 7/10. portion was good for its price, but flavors were pretty one note; slightly spiced eggs and beans. read more

The service was something I noticed right when I walked inside I got a pumpkin spice latte and a blueberry French toast and for not liking lime flavor it was a good touch. My boyfriend got chilaquiles with steak and they were soooo good I mean I would come back for the steak alone cause it was so perfect! The place is cute and welcoming definitely recommend!!! read more

I had the steak sandwich and it was pretty good. The bread was nice and fresh, the meat was cooked perfectly, and the sauce brought everything together very well. Our party got 3 different food items and everyone enjoyed their food, so that tells a lot. The pastry also looked pretty good. The wait time though was pretty horrible - I think I waited around 30-40 minutes for my sandwich! I just hope that is not their normal flow. read more

As cool as the band Arcade Fire and the eye pleasing Indie vibes to go with it. This shop definitely rocks when it comes to the coffee and they have dine in service to go with it. I ordered an espresso shot to start with so I could taste what I was getting myself into. After having it, I was ready to go! My second drink was their Gibraltar which was a Cortado and I already knew it was going to be good. My last drink was a basic Honey Cinnamon Latte which was well balanced. All the drinks delivered what I wanted and I was definitely satisfied. The space is really big with plenty of seating and it has the look that says we're here to preserve coffee culture. Now it may not be cute but if you want good coffee then here you go! I was also vibing to the playlist that consisted of head bobbing deep house. Overall it was a positive experience and the baristas are super chill. That's my take, Peace. read more

I got espresso. I tried the single origin and the house blend. The single origins had good crema, medium body, with notes of chocolate and fruit/citrus. It wasn't bitter or burnt. Solid execution 4/5. Probably more flavor clarity would have made it perfect. The house blend was also good. Not bitter or burnt, good crema and slightly more creamy texture than the single origin. I tasted more acidity in this shot but it wasn't overpowering 3.5/5. A solid choice if you like espresso. read more

Coming back to my college town and seeing all these cool places make me wish we had this when I went to school out here. Arcade is a vibe and such a neat set up to grab coffee, a snack, or do some work or study. They have a nice seating area and they do tastings as well. The cold brew hits the spot and has a nice flavor. This will be my go-to when stopping by Riverside from now on. I ordered an iced vanilla latte and thought it was good. The coffee tasted a bit burnt. I would probably try different beans next time and ask for a different syrup flavored latte. This coffee shop was a great experience overall. Parking was a little tricky at first since it's street parking only, but I was able to find a free spot without too much trouble. The menu was pretty straightforward. I ordered a 10 oz latte and a chocolate concha, which came out to $11.53. While pour-overs are usually my go-to, they weren't available when I visited, which surprised me since I noticed signage mentioning a tasting room on certain days. That said, the staff were very friendly and helpful, and the experience more than made up for it. It was really cool getting to see them roasting coffee while I was there. I've always wanted to walk into a coffee shop and see the roasting process in action. The latte was excellent--you can tell the beans they roast are high quality. The chocolate concha was also a standout, easily the best version I've had. The filling was rich and chocolatey, and the texture of the pastry was just right. Overall, a solid spot with great coffee and pastries. I'd definitely recommend checking it out. read more

Arcade is one of the more quality cafes out in the area. Warm welcoming service. Inside seating has charging stations to keep your juice flowing. There's also a few bench seats outside to enjoy the day. Limited parking spaces or street parking with a short stroll. This used to be an old video store, one of the last standing dvd rental spots. After arcade took over they gave it new life and kept the location alive with wonderful coffee. Freshly roasted in house. They also have bakery items available. Two other locations one in downtown and the other in canyon crest. A community staple. read more

This location has lots of tables to work or study at and there are some baked goods you can choose from. My bf and I stayed at the Hyatt and walked here for breakfast, and it was a great experience. We tried a few things like a vanilla latte, matcha latte, the diner melt on sourdough with Yukon potatoes, and the spicy cilantro chicken zhoug sandwich. All of it was so good. There was a line out the door but it did move quickly and we didn't have to wait that long before we got our food or drinks either! It's such a cute vibe inside the shop too. Great overall experience! The cashier answered all my questions regarding the coffee beans. He was very patient, knowledgeable, and he let me know his own personal opinions. This place is located in the bougie part of Riverside. You could feel it with the energy outside and in. The staff are in no hurry to get you your drink. They also do not provide any guidance when it comes to ordering your drinks so that was a bummer. Growing up in Riverside, there was definitely a lack of solid coffee on the Eastside. So I'm stoked that Arcade is in this neighborhood now. Their space is no frills, but the industrial Roastery feel is definitely a vibe. They have plenty of seating, and SO MANY OUTLETS. It's a great place to catch up with friends or get some work done. The drinks are straightforward, but their pour over bar and holiday drinks stole the show. I got the vanilla pine and it was delicious. The baristas are incredibly friendly, but not in a cheesy way, which is appreciated. I also love that their beans help support local nonprofits like Path of Life. Definitely come thru whenever you're in the area. Don't be deterred by the prices - they are fair for our current inflation era. read more

If you're serious about good coffee, Arcade Coffee Roasters is a must-visit in Riverside. You can tell they really care about the quality of their beans and how the drinks are made. I'm the kind of guy that'll drive out of my way to get fresh coffee. And the coffee here is excellent, no complaints there. And really, I've had Arcade coffee over the years and it's consistently fresh roasted, there's a guy in there actively roasting as you walk in. The employees are kind and your ambiance is that of a modern hipster coffee shop. My complaint however is big enough to steer me away, I was shocked when I bought a bag of coffee beans to take home and it was over $30 dollars. And it's not a big bag, it's 12 ounces. Let me put that into perspective, that's the same size/weight as a soda can, so not a lot. Come on guys, $30 dollars? The beans are great, but they're not plated in gold. Nor I'm sure the farmer from Columbia didn't personally deliver the beans to your shop on the back of his mule. Love to support local, but looks like I'm ordering online now, good luck. read more

You can never go wrong with a pit-stop at one of Arcade's locations, here at the "Tasting Room" you'll find the perfect study spot: plenty of tables & outlets; note: they do fill up--plan accordingly. The warehouse is well-lit & has a relaxed modern-clean aesthetic, complemented perfectly by the upbeat, friendly & helpful staff. You'll get a front-row view of the bean-roasting process at this location, bags of fresh beans lining your path to the couch in the back if you just wanna chill. Coffee & matcha here's delicious, the tap's dangerously addictive. It's not too hard to find parking here & the menu has plenty of light meal options--you really can't go wrong with any of them & they come out quick--perfect for a lunch-stop. read more

First time visiting this coffee spot. Decided on a black cold brew and I have to say it was full of flavor and the quality exceeded expectations. I had no idea they get down like this. Would definitely recommend to anyone that appreciates full-flavored coffee that you can taste the care and quality of product. The customer service was great--dude in the front was attentive and served it up quickly. He also shouted out how good this particular cold brew was (which he was on point with that statement) the ambiance was chill, parking was alright, product was dank.
