This place is so amazing! From the service, to the care in making absolutely phenomenal items. I'll be coming back! We went during their soft opening so while they're finding their stride the owner and staff made the experience great. Hope to try the food on my next visit! Loved the photos on the wall of the owner in the mountains of the farms the beans cone from. Beautiful art too.

Amazing service and the coffee is as fresh as it can get . Proof of origin ! Make sure to try it black so you can taste the notes and then go ahead and order some of their flavored lattes . Space is huge and service was fast! Needed great coffee in downtown !

I was excited to try this place out due to it being a new coffee shop in downtown Riverside . The coffee shop has a very minimalist feel to it and there were a good amount of people when I arrived . When I was walked in I was greeted right away . I looked over the menu and decided on the iced caffe olla with two pumps of sugar free vanilla . I also got the sausage breakfast sandwich because my boyfriend was raving about it . The drink came out fairly quickly and as far as coffee wise . I felt the coffee tasted okay and it could have been better . It tasted a little watery to me . The breakfast sandwich took a while to come out I want to say about 10 to 15 minutes so if you are in a rush I would avoid this place . But it was worth the wait and is very deletions . But overall the experience was okay . I enjoyed the service and the breakfast sandwich but the coffee could use a bit more work .

Super good Cafe de Olla. Had it iced. You'll be happy you ordered it. We had the chicken pesto sandwich and egg bites with bacon and hash browns.

The newest coffee shop in Riverside is officially here, and I'm glad to see Café Oro Dos Aztecas finally find a permanent home. I've seen them host booths around town before, so it's great to see them settle into their own space right across from the Riverside Convention Center. The shop has a clean, modern feel inside with plenty of space to sit and hang out. What stood out to me right away was that the cashier knew finger spelling, which made communication smooth and easy, that meant a lot. I ordered the Mazapán latte, an almond butter inspired coffee, and it was so good. Sweet, smooth, and flavorful without being overwhelming. They do have Copper Goat two stores down, so there's definitely competition nearby, but honestly, I'll be choosing this spot. Great drinks, welcoming service, and well deserved permanent location.

We just tried their cafe de olla & a Mexican mocha! 10/10 service was fast, staff was friendly, but they need to sell a corn tortilla on the side to eat with these egg bites! They also have such beautiful local art to admire! It's cozy and we will be going back!

I had no idea this cafe just opened in the beginning of February. It's new and poppin! It's located right on a corner, on Market and Fifth, next to the Marriott hotel. From the outside, it really looks upscale. Inside it was busy! I came on a Saturday afternoon. The cafe theme is Mexican culture. There were art on the walls, I'm assuming Mexican artists and photos of people in the fields. There is also a lot of botany and little sculptures. Customers were standing around waiting for their orders or seated working or chatting. There seemed to be limited seating, but it could be that there was so many people. Their menu is displayed on a sign right where their line starts. They have specialty Mexico coffee, such as Mazapán latte. There was quite a bit of people in line but it moved rapidly. They even have a water station. There was a lot of staff working on orders. The barista was nice and helpful. They were having a limited edition with a matcha speciality with agave. I ordered the mazapán latte. The price was reasonable. We didn't have to wait long for our drinks, about 5 minutes. My drink was delicious! There were bits of mazapán in the drink! I would definitely come back!

Visited this cafe 3 times now and it's become one of my favorite coffee shops. Their service has always been friendly, and I love looking at their wall art while I wait for my order. Such a creative and relaxing environment! I've ordered the Mazapan and the Spear lattes and they didn't disappoint. I really enjoy being able to support and embrace different parts of Mexico. Thank you Cafe Oro!

This is the BEST coffee I've had in the states!!! Its not bitter and such good quality, been getting cafe oro dos aztecas since the company started as a pop up in a bakery, truly amazing coffee!! And such a good spot in downtown

Delicious match but too much ice for my taste

The service was wonderful and the drinks came out quickly despite the crowds! My matcha was delicious but had too much ice for my taste. My spouses Mexican mocha was perfect with the right amount of ice and delicious flavor. Would come again!

Came here for a lunch break. Matcha was good, but the avocado toast wasn't very tasty. It also felt a bit overpriced for the portion size.

There's always something interesting going on with the art, music, and people hanging out. The coffee and drinks are solid, and the staff has always been friendly whenever I've stopped by. It's a great place to relax, meet up with friends, or even get some work done. Definitely one of the more iconic coffee spots in Riverside.

SERVICE here is VERY BAD!…read more I rarely leave negative reviews, but the service at Back to the Grind was genuinely one of the most unprofessional customer service experiences I've had. While I was in the middle of placing my order, an older black gentleman wearing glasses abruptly walked away from me mid-conversation to speak with someone he knew. No acknowledgment, no "I'll be right back," nothing. I was left standing there confused and waiting while they casually chatted amongst themselves. At the same time, my husband approached another employee -- a young woman with very long black hair and a pink bandana (see pic)-- simply to ask for the WiFi password. Without even looking at him, she told him he needed to "buy something first." When he explained that I was already ordering, she repeated herself in a dismissive tone and continued making sandwiches without making eye contact once. What stood out most wasn't just the lack of hospitality, but the overall attitude from multiple staff members. The environment felt cold, dismissive, and inconvenienced by customers being there at all. Ironically, the café advertises community classes like yoga and live meditation classes on the window, yet basic customer service and professionalism seem completely absent. The food itself was fine, which is why this review is specifically about the service experience. Even after how poorly we were treated, I still left a tip because I refuse to match that level of disrespect. Management seriously needs to address the customer service culture here. One rude interaction can happen anywhere -- but multiple employees displaying the same behavior reflects a larger issue.

It looked like it was made with love. The egg+cheese sandwich absolutely carried the experience (seriously, give that thing a raise), and the matcha held its own as it was refreshing! Now the not so great... the huevos rancheros were unfortunately very, very, salty.. but I didn't want my money to go to waste so I made myself eat it.. The coffee was bitter, pretty but bitter. I usually like bitter coffee but this one caught me off guard haha The Customer service wasn't great.. The server asked if we needed anything else but was already walking away before we could answer. Overall, the matcha and egg+cheese sandwich was the best part from this experience. I would recommend those two.
