Ok what a great find for my work trip in Sacramento?! they were having some holiday syrup so i tried the vanilla pine with half the normal amount of syrup for my latte. This was just perfect amount of sweetness. He gave me a little leaf art on my latte. Nice touch! the other flavor i got was the caramel gingerbread latte. loved the vanilla more but it was still good. Notes they shared: they roast all of their own coffee and this location shows it. They make all of their own syrups. I did try the egg salad sandwich. Their description said it came with hawaiian bread but they just gave me a plain white bread... so taking off a star because i truly was expecting hawaiian bread?! read more

I come into Arcade Coffee pretty regularly and Justin, the barista is legit at his craft. Every time he makes my order, it hits just right. The temperature is perfect, the milk has just the right amount of aeration, and the artwork is always on point. It's consistent every single time, and that's honestly what I notice the most. He's laid-back, welcoming, and friendly but not overly talkative, just easy going while still clearly knowing what he's doing. He recommended a bag of beans once. I trusted him, took it home, and when I ground it the aroma filled my entire apartment. It was that fresh. That alone brought me back to buy more, and even when they rotate through different beans, everything I've tried has been just as good. A nod to the owners for keeping it fresh, and props to Justin, who understands coffee, not just how to make drinks but how it should taste. He makes a consistent cup every time. Arcade off of Chicago has such a warm welcoming atmosphere! From the lox bagels to the chicken caesar wraps everything is made to perfection. Their drink quality at this location is always consistently up to par and I've never received a drink that I didn't enjoy here!! I get the the iced latte with half of the honey cinnamon syrup and oat milk, so good. draft latte is also so so so delicious, but lately I've been finding it a little too sweet for me for my morning drink haha-- definitely still good as a treat! weekends are packed and it's difficult to find a table inside (not a problem when the weather is good and there's tables outside!) the other day I went in at 12 on a Sunday and it took me nearly an hour to get my drinks. This is the flagship location (Tasting Room) for Arcade Coffee Roasters. The second location is a bakery called Arcade Coffee Roasters - The Bakehouse (kitchen closes at 2 PM) and the third location is a brunch spot called Arcade Downtown (Downtown Riverside). This company initially launched independently in June of 2015 in a tiny warehouse garage. In 2017, they had a successful Kickstarter campaign (https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/arcaderoasters/arcade-coffee-roasters-tasting-room) and this current location (formerly a video store) became the new flagship shop. Roasting at Tasting Room happens on Mondays, Tuesdays & Wednesdays. [Parking]: This flagship location has a tiny private parking lot, but the lot only has 4 available spots (one is handicapped) and all spots were most likely taken by employee's vehicles. I ended up with street parking and didn't have any issues finding a spot. [Service]: Super friendly staff and the staff automatically apply "The Perfect Pair" special ($1 off on a pastry and a coffee from 7 AM to 9 AM). I didn't wait too long to receive my order. [Menu]: Coffee options include latte, draft latte (sweet cold coffee), gibraltar, cappuccino, cold brew, and hot sparrow. Modifiers include 7 syrups (vanilla, mocha, lavender, simple syrup, honey cinnamon, agave cardamon, butterscotch) plus seasonal syrup. Non-coffee options like chai tea latte and matcha latte are also available. For food they offer bagels, toasts, parfait, oats, and burritos (weekend only). *** Latte (hot $5.25 + Lavender $0.50 + Large $1): Smooth texture and not overly sweet - really amazing latte. Had a very positive experience trying our this Cafe I really enjoyed the ambiance and how cozy the interior of this place is. The staff was very kind and knowledgeable I also shared that I was from out of town and it was my first time stopping by and he gave me a token so I could try out one of their other 2 locations. I found that to be such a nice gesture. I do plan to check out one of their other locations called the bakeshop as he recommended it and the bread looks great. I loved seeing they had a season Horchata flavor as well which seemed really interesting. Food wise, the avocado toast was delicious very generous with the avocado and loved the citrus and oil added. After leaving the Bakeshop location I went to Chicago ave location and the same terrible coffee was made for me! Along with bad coffee customer service was terrible, the same girl with the glasses at checkout with a nasty attitude(Chicago ave location) short with sandy brown hair blonde steaks when I figure out her name I'll post another review with it! Arcade always has great quality food and coffee. I usually get their draft latte which is on tap and already has agave and oatmilk - its a perfect balance, no too sweet & not too bitter. Today I tried their breakfast for the first time, the breakfast plate. It came with scrambled eggs (with chives), 2 slices of bacon and roasted potatoes all for $13. Every bit of my plate was delicious. The eggs were made perfect. The bacon was also cooked perfectly and was good quality, and the potatoes were roasted with some garlic...DROOL. So glad I tried their breakfast. I've tried a few of their pastries in the past and they NEVER disappoint. It is quite loud inside, but there is outdoor seating. There's usually a line all morning, so if you are working in the area and pressed for time, it might not be ideal. read more

First coffee shop adventure since moving to Riverside and I was not disappointed. Very simplistic, no frills place and you can tell they are really focused on the quality of their coffee. The food was also great! We had the cheesy grits, the sammie, and avocado toast. My roommate said this was the best grits she has had outside of the South. The Sammie was really tasty and there was a lot of tri tip! Avocado toast surprised me- I usually don't pay for avocado toast because I can make something similar at home but there was definitely something else to this one. They were very generous with the avocado, and it didn't have that "earthy" taste avocados sometimes have. The service was awesome and the staff were very patient and friendly. Came by to re-try Arcade Coffee after receiving a request to try them again. The day I came by we came right before the rush and I ordered the Matcha Latte and sad to say the matcha was not prominent in the drink. Yes the drink was green but all I tasted was the milk. I tried to ask for suggestions with flavors but the guy helping might have gotten overwhelmed with the line that just appeared behind me. Someone had to come and assist and provided my coworker with a suggestion. Sorry, I tried to come back.
