Very overpriced, very underwhelming and very disappointing. $11 for a large basic oat milk latte with pumps of syrup and still have the audacity to ask for a tip definitely not. Not good coffee beans. If you're vegan coming here to try out the specialty lattes, just know apparently NONE of them can be veganized. You'll just have to get a standard coffee with pumps of syrup, which at that point you can easily make at home or get at any other coffee shop for literally half the price. The price doesn't justify the unpleasant location, the taste of the drinks, the interior or the customer service. You can literally get a latte cheaper and better than this in Newport Beach, OC/LA. Cherry on top is the customer service isn't the best, while in line there was one employee and a couple in front of me but when I arrived the couple had already ordered. The employee saw me and continued to just talk to the couple for about 5 minutes I was just standing there watching her talk about one of her previous trips, instead of making drinks and/or attending to me first. She could've easily told them to give her a minute, taken my order then continued the conversation with them while making drinks but her priorities weren't there. I felt ignored and I was about to walk out but I really had high hopes for this place and thought it would be just as good, if not better than Rad Coffee in Long Beach & Upland, it's not, first and last time I'll be here. They need to improve on many areas if they plan to survive in this economy because just being a horror themed coffee shop, isn't enough.

What a gem of a discovery. This coffee shop has a lot of fun horror film decor, and themed drinks. They have some of the classics on their menu, but also have some themed drinks that are really fun. The service here is great as the gentleman behind the counter was super helpful and friendly when I came in and was deciding on what to order. I ended up getting one of 'the fogs'. The Cenobites Fog to be exact - a fun homage to Hellraiser. It was super tasty and had a fun little design on top. But seriously, this coffee shop is equal parts fun, horror film museum, and coffee shop. I was just thinking how much my nephew would love this place as he's really into horror movies.

Obsessed with this coffee spot!!!!! Gosh, I wish there were more of these all around Southern California! I'm so happy they opened the Riverside location. Recently, they had a horror pop-up event. It was the perfect excuse to try out the coffee. It did not disappoint! All of the spooky names of the drinks were fun! I loved that they make designs of your favorite characters. I wanted to get the Mike Myers drink or the Jason one so I could have the face on my coffee lol Taste wise though I thought those would be too strong for me. I ordered the white chocolate raspberry drink and it was delicious! It had a sweetness and the white chocolate and raspberry flavor was yummy! My husband ordered the worm drink and it came with gummy worms in the top lol Love it! The theme is amazing and the drinks are chillingly frightening. What more could you ask for?! This place rocks!!

First timers and we loved it! The vibes were spooky of course! The service was super kind we showed up 10 minutes before closing and we felt so bad we didn't want to be those people but the staff made us feel so welcomed and told us not to worry about it. They answered any questions we had and we ended up getting two blended drinks and a blueberry lemonade. My son loved his shark blood drink with the shark gummies on top. The blended drinks were just as great we'll have to go back for their espresso. We'll be back for sure!

When I pulled up to Roast of the Dead. I didn't expect much. The exterior was unassuming, with just a few people lingering outside looking at some items for sale on shelves. It felt like just another quick pit stop on a road trip. Boy, was I pleasantly surprised! The moment I stepped inside, the atmosphere was completely transformed. The horror theme really works. I thought it was it's quirky, immersive, and fun. Not only was the interior a pleasant surprise, but their coffee was genuinely really good. It's clear they put as much effort into their brews as they do their aesthetic. The experience was topped off by the service, which was fast and friendly. It's the perfect blend of great hospitality and high-quality product in a unique environment. Don't let the exterior fool you--it's a truly memorable coffee shop experience.

Always enjoy the first location. This place is not really in a good location but the inside is big. It feels kind of empty inside but the decorations are cool. I ended up getting Child's Play with extra shots of espresso. It was good and if I didn't add the shot of espresso it might have been too sweet for me. But the flavor is awesome! I feel like this location has room for merchandise to sell. I just wish this place wasn't so far off the freeway.

My wife loves Halloween and she's been wanting to come check this place out for a while. They were having an event this weekend with popups selling Halloween stuff. Fun spot to take some pictures and get some bomb ass coffee absolutely way better than Starbucks hands-down!! service was great even after the fact that the place was super full. Had to wait a while in line to order but definitely worth it. They were playing some death metal music definitely Vibin with almost felt like throwing some people around and starting a mosh pit.

Place and drink

I loved it so much! I can't remember the girls name that helped me at the register, but she was very nice and helpful. We didn't know what to order at first because we were so amazed with everything and reading all of the drink names they have and she was very nice in helping us understand the drinks and it was just a great experience overall really good vibes. I got the "worms Michael" the lost boys is my favorite movie which was super cool and it tasted really good, my husbands coffee was supper yummy as well

Cute little stop on our way home from LA. It's a small little horror coffee shop filled with horror movie icon items. I got the red velvet Freddy Krueger iced latte, honestly was expecting super sweet. Was quite pleasantly sweet. Loved that it was read and green. My daughter got an Oreo blended drink(non coffee) she loved it, reminded her of a shake. It's a little ways from the freeway but I didn't mind the drive. Owner was super friendly and welcoming.

Always looking for new coffee shops to try and Roast the Dead was a great experience. Lots of fun horror ambiance and places to sit. I really enjoyed the very low lighting that really added to the aesthetic and creepy atmosphere. A great place to try out yourself or to WOW a date that likes horror movies and coffee. I ordered the Vorhees Fog and it was absolutely the best cold foam I have ever had. Nice and thick as not all cold foams, cream caps, soft tops etc. are equal! My coffee had 3 distinct color levels and I really enjoyed my coffee and the overall experience. Two people were working on a Saturday and they were friendly and quick with orders. I will be back!

Horror and coffee just work together. I can't explain it. It just DOES. So when I found that Roast the Dead Coffee opened a location in Riverside I knew I had to try it. Located in possibly one of the most low key strip malls in the city (behind Savers), Roast the Dead isn't something you'd find in passing. However you forget about all that once you walk in. The fun horror theme is at the forefront of this large dimly lit space. The menu is big and sometimes things get sold out. The drinks were delicious but not cheap! But what is these days? Service was super friendly and patient with this first timer. Location aside, Roast the Dead is an awesome little coffee shop. The service, interior and most important of all, the drinks were great. I'll definitely be returning. Highly recommended!

Yorhees Killer drink and here's Johnny killer drink

The coffee is really good, especially with the whipped cream, caramel drizzle, and chocolate syrup making it feel like a dessert drink. I liked how the presentation matched the Halloween theme and made the drinks stand out. The red and yellow lighting gave the place a spooky but cool vibe. The decorations made the atmosphere feel exciting and different from a regular coffee shop. Overall, I thought it was a fun place to grab a sweet coffee

A hidden gem in Riverside! I couldn't picture a coffee shop in this shopping center but I was blown away with how great the inside looks. If you like horror, you'll love this place. They do an amazing job making it as dark as possible inside. It was very clean and spacious. Coffee was SO GOOD, lots of great choices. Look forward to coming back and trying something new.

I originally wanted to try just the orange blossom syrup, but the baristas suggested that vanilla bean syrup be added to tone down the potency of the orange blossom syrup while complementing it at the same time. This was a great rec since it was an enjoyable combo that didn't lose flavor after all the ice was diluted. Chocolate Chip Cookie: 5/5. A satisfying cookie that tasted better than it looks. I say this cuz I didn't see chocolate chips or chunks breaking through the dough, and the dough color was pretty pale, but looks can be deceiving, as this was a yummy treat. S'mores Brownie: 4/5. Super sweet and chocolatey and fudgy. Kinda sticky and messy due to the marshmallow topping and high sugar content, but they provide utensils for easy eating. Parking in the attached lot was quite small and cramped, but apparently there was additional parking behind the plaza. The shop was also a bit small, but some seating was available both inside and outside the shop.

Most places don't carry orange blossom flavors plus they make their syrups in house from scratch. This is definitely a big place. I don't like premade syrups. They never have a good aftertaste in this place checks off all the boxes for me. Glad I found them. I will be returning bringing some friends to try it out. Also, you must get the savory stone because dang that's a five out of five or maybe even a 10 out of five I'm telling you it's pretty amazing get it warmed up eat it there. It's delicious.

Their coffee, tea, and baked goods are fantastic, but the main reason I love this place is because it's very cozy and the perfect place to read, study, catch up with a friend, or go on a date. They have a special, themed menu that changes every month. There is almost always seating available. They have a small book exchange, often sell local art, have cute merch, and just opened up a bakery right next door with extra seating. I'm kind of a snobbish third-wave coffee person and although this place isn't trying to be that way, it still is my favorite spot because of the overall vibe, how genuinely kind and down to earth the baristas are, and how comfortable it is. A lot of coffee shops are so brightly lit and trying to be hipster still in 2026, but this place is just kind of homey and the classic cozy coffee shop we all want to go to. So if you're a hardcore coffee connoisseur and are looking for the highest quality coffee, this might not be your spot. If you're looking for something with yummy drinks and baked goods with a chill environment you'll be very comfortable in, this is 100% your spot.

Stick with me, this is gonna be a long, but worth reading review…read more About 6 years ago I tried Dutch bros for the first time while visiting my grandparents in Oregon. They lived near the original location. It wasn't busy and they gave me a ton of random stickers. So since then, Dutch has always been my favorite coffee spot and the stickers have always been my fav thing to look forward to on the 1st Wed of the month. Every year I'd visit my grandparents and Dutch bros was always a stop, sometimes twice in a day! Fast forward to now, we have a Dutch 10 min away and tonight I totally realized I forgot to stop by for my sticker. They were all out and I was lowkey so bummed because my favorite color is blue, and I love checkers everything (it's the millennial in me). Daisy stepped away for a moment and brought back a sticker! Her sticker. She gave me the one she got as an employee. I know it's just a sticker, but Daisy, you made my night. My grandma just passed away last week and life has been kinda rough lately.
