Another cute cafe in Riverside I got to try recently. Stray Dogs is not only a place to grab coffee and a pastry but you can also look through Polaroids to find your next pet! There is an area in the shop that has photos of dogs that need homes. How awesome is that? I got the greyhound which was earl grey in an espresso latte with Madagascar vanilla cold foam. I love the concept that they donate a portion of their proceeds to animal rescue centers. They have house-made syrups, alternative milk choices, and serve coffee, matcha, and hojicha. It is a great place for you and your dog. The ambiance is nice with lots of ambient light, quiet music, and spaciousness of the store. The tables are not too crowded so you can get around, but unfortunately not every table is powered. Overall not a bad place to chill and study. The parking lot isn't too small for downtown but will definitely get filled quickly. The drinks were pretty good. I like the uniqueness of the banana pudding drink and the double matcha was light and refreshing - if I had a choice though, I would add more matcha as I like mine stronger. My dog though was super happy for the pup cup. Plus side he didn't vomit, so the one they made wasn't too heavy for him compared to coffee bean's formula. This is my second time coming to this coffee roasters and this is one place I would definitely come back to. Last time I came here, there was a market going on during the weekend. This time around, I came on a Monday morning/afternoon. Both days were pretty busy. It is a good place to study or do work and have some outlets. There is a mixture of seatings inside and outside. There is also limited parking in the back. The cashier and baristas were really nice and gave recommendations on their menu. I got the espresso tonic and the barista warned me that it has more of a yuzu essence and not sweet. Which for me was perfect! On my first visit I was helped by a man with long black hair and glasses; I didn't catch his name, though. I asked which drinks are popular and asked what he recommends for a first timer. On his recommendation, I landed on an iced sweet potato latte with marshmallow cold foam! I also grabbed a little fudge cake thing. I wasn't sure what to expect from a sweet potato latte, but it was incredible! The flavor was well balanced and not too sweet, and it tasted like Thanksgiving! I wish it wasn't a limited/seasonal syrup. The chocolate cake thing was just ok; it wasn't overly sweet but it felt like it was missing something. I wouldn't get it again, but their black sesame cake and mini Japanese cheesecake are both much better! I have liked every drink so far. Make sure you grab a stamp card when you order! Had the opportunity to check out this fairly new coffee shop (I believe it's been around for a little over a year) and I found myself here for a caffeine fix. The space is wide open and has plenty of natural lighting. I really enjoyed just how many tables they had for folks to work at. I noticed a bit of college students here so I figured it must be in close proximity to an institution. The music here is more background but ties into the owner's personal beliefs and is Christian-forward music. It was light and honestly not distracting at all.
