Had the opportunity to check out this fairly new coffee shop (I believe it's been around for a little over a year) and I found myself here for a caffeine fix. The space is wide open and has plenty of natural lighting. I really enjoyed just how many tables they had for folks to work at. I noticed a bit of college students here so I figured it must be in close proximity to an institution. The music here is more background but ties into the owner's personal beliefs and is Christian-forward music. It was light and honestly not distracting at all. I really enjoyed looking at all the baked goods and they were made by the owner's mom which is so impressive. This is my second time coming to this coffee roasters and this is one place I would definitely come back to. Last time I came here, there was a market going on during the weekend. This time around, I came on a Monday morning/afternoon. Both days were pretty busy. It is a good place to study or do work and have some outlets. There is a mixture of seatings inside and outside. There is also limited parking in the back. The cashier and baristas were really nice and gave recommendations on their menu. I got the espresso tonic and the barista warned me that it has more of a yuzu essence and not sweet. Which for me was perfect! This has become a new favorite place to go in downtown Riverside. Stray dogs is such a wholesome place and customer service is so great! The owners are very sweet! Their matcha is very good, high quality and they balance well with their syrups. The seasonal syrups and menu are always so interesting but sooo good! I just tried their blueberry matcha and I loved it! I also recommend their earl grey matcha and just a classics vanilla matcha. I absolutely love this place. It's just on the outside of busy downtown Riverside. I was surprised with how much parking was available in the back because I can see the street parking filling up quick during busy hours. This ambiance of this place is simplicity at its finest. Inside is cozy; they have long tables, benches, and even a little lounge area to sit at. The cozy feeling was amplified with a christmas tree for the holidays! I always see people sitting with friends or studying/working while enjoying their drinks. The ambiance is very trendy and a bit rustic. I like it! Staff are super friendly. On my first visit I was helped by a man with long black hair and glasses; I didn't catch his name, though. I asked which drinks are popular and asked what he recommends for a first timer. On his recommendation, I landed on an iced sweet potato latte with marshmallow cold foam! I also grabbed a little fudge cake thing. I wasn't sure what to expect from a sweet potato latte, but it was incredible! The flavor was well balanced and not too sweet, and it tasted like Thanksgiving! I wish it wasn't a limited/seasonal syrup. The chocolate cake thing was just ok; it wasn't overly sweet but it felt like it was missing something. I wouldn't get it again, but their black sesame cake and mini Japanese cheesecake are both much better! I have liked every drink so far. Make sure you grab a stamp card when you order! We love trying new and local coffee shops and were super excited to add this one to our list. I was really surprised at how much space they had inside! There was plenty of tables and chairs to sit and enjoy your drinks & treats, as well as a more lounge-y area where you can relax! The woman at the front was super knowledgeable and helpful about describing the menu and the different things in each drink. We ordered the "Another One" and the "Kyoto Cold Brew" with cold foam, as well as a carrot cake muffin. The muffin was pretty good! We love carrot cake and hardly see it anymore so we were pretty excited to try it! Both the drinks were also pretty good!! I really enjoyed the sweetness and cinnamon flavors in the Another One. My boyfriend was not too fond of the Kyoto Cold Brew -- but he was trying something new, so it was really his personal preference and nothing with the coffee itself. Been meaning to check out this coffee shop in downtown Riverside and finally got a chance to on a Saturday afternoon. My wife and I got a drink each with a black sesame pastry on the side. The drinks were great! Their banana pudding matcha was delicious and their hojicha was a real standout as well. Absolutely loved both of them. The tea and matcha flavors stood out with the right amount of sweetness. The pastry was good as well. Service was helpful as they went over the menu. The cafe was nicely decorated with a modern look although we did notice the bathrooms and tables were a but dirty and it doesn't look like they've been cleaned for a while. I've tried six specialty drinks so far: Another One, Greyhound, Corndog, Double Matcha, Strawberries & Cream, and Banana Pudding. I just switch it up depending on my mood for matcha or coffee If it's your first time trying matcha, I'd highly recommend the Banana Pudding. If you're in the mood for coffee, go for the Corndog unless you're not a fan of corn. In that case, I highly recommend Another One Last thing, the secret menu Corndog with matcha is SO amazing! I've been hearing good things about this place for a while. I finally got the chance to try it! It's located on the edge of DTR and next to other small businesses. There is a small parking lot behind these businesses. There is also street parking available right in front. There is a sign outside, announcing their matcha and coffee. When walking in, I saw there was alot of people sitting and working on their laptops. This seems to be the spot for that. There is a lot of natural lighting inside and it looks clean and contemporary. They have items for sale like hats, candles, and bowls on the wooden tower. There is also a rack of clothing and bags for sale as well. There was only one other person in line when I arrived. They have paper menus available and main menu on the wall. When it was my turn at the counter, the barista let me know to ask if I had any questions. I asked about the banana matcha, since I didn't see it on the menu at first. He let me know it was still available. He asked if I wanted cold foam and what type of milk. I got that and saw the pastry shelf. They have mostly cupcakes and not GF. I got the matcha Japanese cupcake. I saw at one of the wooden tables while waiting. It did not take long, maybe 5 minutes? I took a sip. The banana did not overpower the matcha like in used to, but perfectly blended with it. It was so delicious. The cupcake was also very good. Will definitely come again! read more

It offers flavors that you don't always see anywhere else like melona cold foam matcha and seasonal flavors like rose, chocolate strawberry, and Japanese cheesecake. I enjoy that it is a spacious coffee shop with lots of seating, natural light, and dogs are welcomed Ofcourse. I've never had any issues with service and the staff is always friendly and helpful. Their matcha is one of my favorites in Riverside. My only complaint would be that parking can be hard to find and i do think the price is a little high for the size of drink (usually 9 something with oatmilk) However you can definitely taste the quality. read more

Came by here on a Saturday morning. there is parking in the back. this is such a spacious coffee shop! There are many tables for people, there is a couch in the back and dog beds too. I love how there was so much sunlight and openness. We ended up getting a few drinks. The barista was helpful when we had questions. no Gen Z stares here. We ended up getting the korean yam latte, double pumpkin latte, buttercup matcha, and a double matcha. All the drinks were really good! I'm always down to support any place that is animal friendly. Walked in and someone had a cute and chubby dog so if you mind dogs at a food place, I wouldn't recommend coming here. It was pretty busy, but this place is pretty spacious with a lot of tables and lots of seating. Their menu is creative and they make their own syrups in house. Tried the iced Greyhound which is earl gray honey in a latte with a vanilla foam. It's tasty, but the earl gray dominates the coffee so it felt more like a tea latte with a splash of coffee. Also tried the Texas Roadhouse latte. It's a honey latte with a cinnamon butter cold foam. The honey latte was what you'd expect, but the foam made it way better. It was cinnamony and creamy. I do have one recommendation for the owners, though. They have a giant container for people to grab their own straws. These are pretty tightly packed and are not individually wrapped so there's no way to grab one without touching a few. I tried. I would say get individually wrapped ones if they're going to do that.
