Ventured out to Canyon Crest Crest area to explore a bit and found this beautiful coffee shop. Love the interior and how airy and fresh it was on a hot day. They have a huge assortment of pastries and food so that's always a plus. The menu isn't very large but like most coffee shops they have seasonal drinks, syrups and they use Minor Figures Oat milk which is my favorite kind. It's so good. Service was great! My barista was so kind, gave me some options on drinks since it was my first time. Service was also really fast. I came in on a busy Saturday and my drink was done in about 3-4 minutes after placing the order. Super happy with my drink and definitely recommend visiting. The area and shopping center is nice with gift shops and restaurants and fountains too, lots of seating too! read more

As soon as I walked up my eyes liked their outside patio and view. Peaceful and perfect for that alfresco outside dining experience. Now the inside is another story. Sad emoji face display after I went inside but first the coffee. I had their Espresso Shot and Cortado to start with. The coffee Is legit and I say that because I'm familiar with the Arcade Coffee Roaster so there's that. I also ordered the Cherry Glaze Latte which was a pretty good balance and I'm glad I did since it's seasonal. Ok so I'm not judging how people like to live but when you walk into a place where you have to clean your table and chair before you sit? That's a problem and especially if they just opened?! Come on man. Plus the windows were Hella greasy with fingerprints everywhere?! Yeah, totally killing the inside vibe. But that's just me. Their breakfast is good and flavorful. The arcmuffin was quite spicy actually but delish, with the bed of soft scrambled eggs, cheddar cheese, sausage & the chili crunch oil aioli. Small sandwich but it was packed! Quite messy and oily. The muffin is made there I think and had a nice bounce and slight sweetness maybe. Not much frills with their drinks. However, the prices are so expensive. Their matcha tea 12 oz with added syrup was nearly $10 for a small drink and almond milk sub. Got cardamom but I didn't taste the flavor. It was also basically $16 for the handheld bfast muffin sammich. In total, almost $30 for 2 small things. Yikes. LA pricing but it's not even LA. Kind of a small space to work at and get coffee. Perfect day for a seasonal drink and breakfast entree! We love coming here, even though we don't get to make our way out here too often. Their sourdough is amazing and the coffee is even better. This visit they had a promotion where you get a free coffee with a food item purchase. I got avocado toast and added an egg and a brew latte. My husband got the Arc sandwich I think it's called and a cappuccino. The brew latte was phenomenal, I hadn't tried it before and was pleasantly surprised. It's a cold brew that comes out of a tap, so I was a bit nervous it was gunna be mid. The only issue this time was the food took almost 30 minutes to come out, which I don't think is typically normal. My husbands sandwich was so good, it was hot, cheesy, and full of flavor. Aesthetic-wise, Arcade Coffee Roasters gives major hipster vibes -- in a good way. The music is nice and soothing, there are plenty of tables, and it feels like the kind of place you could hang out for a while. The person taking my order was very nice. I ordered the Arc muffin, and WOW. It was soooo delicious and packed with cheese. Not gonna lie, it was pretty big, so it was a little hard to bite into, and it was so juicy that it literally moved around every time I took a bite messy but absolutely worth it. I have mixed feelings about arcade bakehouse . The drinks are honestly a let down. I've tried two different drinks and they were both kind of watery and bland. Maybe it's because arcade specializes in coffee. I don't drink coffee so I got a matcha latte with simple syrup and it was very bland and watery. The next day, I came back and got a yuzu peach green tea and a steak sandwich. The drink was again bland. I thought it would be like a sweet refresher type of tea but I watched the barista put a tea bag in water and serve it to me. For $4.50 I expected maybe some yuzu syrup or something. It was also unsweetened. If you like strong tea too, this is not the tea to order. They were happy to add some simple syrup for me after I tried it though. Now for the good parts! The steak sandwich was phenomenal! Hot, tender ribeye, delicious aioli and melty cheese. It was a very satisfying lunch while studying. This spot is great for studying. It has a bunch of small tables with plugs on a long green bench, as some small tables next to the windows (no plugs), and one large table that people share to work at with plugs. Came here to on a Monday afternoon and it was busy! Many people were working on laptops, catching up with friends, or reading. Thankfully, there were places to sit outside as the inside was packed. Georgia was very sweet in helping me pick a drink as this was my first time. She even gave me a sample of it first and it was delicious. I ordered the largest draft latte they had, and I wish they had larger sizes in the cold coffees. The coffee did seem pricy for a 12 oz. at $7.25. Arcade Coffee Roasters - The Bakehouse is located in the Canyon Crest Town Centre, just steps from East Coast Bagel. I love stopping by for breakfast and coffee. They have a case full of pastries but I usually go for the Arcmuffin - sausage, frittata, their English muffin, chili crunch aioli, and cheddar cheese. This is a savory breakfast that is incredibly flavorful. They used to carry the LBS, which is Longanisa (Filipino sausage), frittata, their plain bagel, plantain ketchup, and American cheese. I recently tried their Avo Toast and was surprised how delicious it was - the flavor profile leans toward pickle and I loved it. Of course, I love pairing any of their breakfast items with either an iced vanilla latte or honey cinnamon latte - both are really good. And the baristas sure make pretty latte art. They also sell freshly baked sourdough bread, which is amazing. The ambiance is modern with a lovely atmosphere and friendly employees. Inside it's bright with lots of natural light -- my kind of vibe. The outdoor patio is where I usually like to sit. It's especially beautiful during the spring when it's not too hot or cold outside. Parking during the weekend mornings can be challenging, as the town center gets pretty busy. This used to be my go-to coffee shop, but I was disappointed by my experience today. My drink was accidentally made as a small instead of the large I ordered. When I pointed it out, the barista said he would remake it, which I appreciated. However, he also told me I couldn't keep the original drink and then dumped it out right in front of me before making the new one. I understand mistakes happen, and I appreciate that they corrected the order. It was just frustrating to watch a perfectly good drink be thrown away when it could have simply been given to me since the mistake wasn't mine. Arcade has 3 locations in Riverside. I believe this is the second out of the three. This location is the bakehouse, where they specialize in food/pastries. It's in the Canyon Crest shopping plaza. There is a lot of parking, but it can be difficult to find. There are two doors, both entrances. The bake house looks like a contemporary, rustic but modern coffee shop. Their menu is prominently displayed on a wall with a projector. I believe everything on the menu is farm to table and mostly brunch items like breakfast burrito and breakfast plate. The front counter has a pastry shelf, which there were not many left of. The pastries go quickly earlier in the morning. It has a decent size seating area, but can get packed quickly with students and people working. There is always people coming in and out, we came around 12. Luckily, there is patio seating outside. It didn't take long for us to order, there were a couple people in line. I ordered the arc muffin and matcha latte with vanilla cinnamon. There is only two sizes for drinks. This is what the barista recommended. She had also said the arcmuffin had some kick to it. The bake house was constantly busy, so my order did take a while. The staff call out your name and place your order at the pickup counter at the side with your receipt. They have utensils and other condiments at the side. I noticed they have a sign posted saying there is a time limit. My arcmuffin was wrapped in tinfoil. It was very delicious and I could see what the barista meant by the arcmuffin having a kick. The matcha latte was very well done. My total came out to $25. My friend had gotten matcha latte as well with avo toast. She added an egg to it. Once her order was ready, she saw they gave her avocado in a separate container. We were a little surprised, we thought it would already be added to the toast. They also gave her a scrambled egg and hadn't asked how she wanted the egg. Overall, a decent experience. read more

I just recently started coming here and I can confidently say this coffee shop is my favorite. Their draft latte is top tier. It's the perfect amount of sweetness and not too milky. The best coffee in Riverside, hands down with no exceptions. Their pastries are baked daily in house. They make all their own syrups and they rotate them frequently. I love the avocado toast here and the breakfast burrito is also notable (filled with crispy tots and perfectly seasoned steak). One note here, consider not having your pastry warmed up when they are really busy. I've been the victim of a forgotten pastry many times This is not good place to study, go to the library. Seating inside is already limited and people who sit around on laptops don't help. Other coffee shops have a strict "no studying" rule on weekends that I really think should be imposed here. Alas, a business is not responsible for its patrons so it doesn't affect my rating. Good coffee, good food and friendly staff... it's all I could ask for. read more

Would not recommend if you're someone that enjoys the taste of coffee without the need to add a bunch of milk and syrups. It takes them forever to not only make a drink but to make it right. Example: Today, as I waited in line, my friend was constantly overlooked by friend to take orders from people behind her. She had to ask what's going on. They gave her an attitude. Quality: terrible. I don't know if the people who work here are not trained well or what. But their drinks are constantly so subpar. Example: The staff made a drink so poorly that I can only describe it as a Swiss miss hot cocoa fail. That drink cost $8. I literally threw the drink away. Went to the bagel shop 100 ft away and got a black coffee from a drip machine that held more complexity and depth than whatever nonsense Arcade serves. Conclusion: this place is all hype and optics. The owner got a nice looking place but doesn't train his employees (im assuming) and they just charge insane amounts of money for it...and we all pay. Do yourself a solid and go to the gas station. I'm so sad to be writing my first "negative" review, but unfortunately, this place deserved it :( The customer service was subpar. The guy at the register was uninterested as he took our order. To make matters worse, the cafe doesn't allow substitutions yet they'll gladly remove items without a price reduction (so you pay full price for less product). My latte was decently good, but I'm not a coffee enthusiast so I can't be sure. My boyfriend got the matcha- he IS a matcha enthusiast- and he said it was average. Nothing too special. Onto the food, it was so upsetting that I won't even be including a picture. The brekkie sammie was EXTREMELY greasy, way too heavy for breakfast/brunch. There was almost no aioli on my sandwich. The bacon was overcooked, very tough and chewy- I basically had to discard it because my teeth hurt and it was difficult to swallow. Overpriced. This place has hands down some of the best coffee in SoCal. I buy their beans, I drink their espresso hot and Cold, their cold brew, and pour overs are top! So whenever I go to arcade and get Arcade's perfect coffee I bring a mug. I sip their delightful bean water and relax. Arcade gives you free refills on black coffee when you're sipping at the shop... which is baller and fantastic. BUT TODAY! Literally the greatest thing happened. I was sitting outside the shop with a friend and found my cup empty. I thought to myself, "hm, time for a refill," and got up to get a refill.
