Maybe I'm just not into my coffee tasting burnt, but I don't think it helped that my grilled cheese was also burnt once I flipped it over. Workers were nice and overall aesthetic was pleasing and welcoming. I do appreciate that they have a section for little kids to play. But not the best coffee for the price they sell it for. From the entrance, to the booths in the back - the RoadRunner team did a great job creating a business that adds so much style and coziness to the neighborhood. They make their Vanilla & Brown Sugar syrup in house - the iced Brown Sugar Matcha was fantastic! Staff is very friendly. Stopped in for a matcha latte after breakfast on a Sunday morning. Cool space Cool cups- first time seeing these Cool typography on their R Matcha latte with oaslt milk was good. Long line, long wait, excessively long Very loud for a Sunday Nice staff. Beware: their front door is heavy. Like really heavy. Not sure how long they've been open but their the minimalist coffee shop vibes is a bit over done. Nothing new there. The coffee house/shop is almost too beige. And too mid century modern. Roadrunner Coffee is a really nice addition to Redlands. We've got awesome funky local spots, we've got the chains, and everything in between, but Roadrunner brings a slightly more elevated and modern vibe that's just fun to have in the mix. The space is awesome. The attention to detail in the décor is so well done, and you can really tell somebody cared deeply about how this place looks and feels. It's the kind of place that's comfortable, put together, and genuinely nice to hang out in. Two things really stand out for me: the coffee and the food. The coffee is really good. I'm a big fan of the Americano, but my go-to has been the flat white time and time again. For the food, their breakfast sandwich and their breakfast burrito are both outstanding. And if you've got kids, the French toast is a hit. My kids love it. I also love that they carry locally sourced bakery items. Shout out to Deaux Donuts, and also Two Ladds Bakery (yup, two D's in Ladds). Huge fan of both. The service has been great every time, and the little play area for kids is such a nice touch. A couple tips if you're going. Go before 9:00am because it gets busy fast and seating can be tough. And on busy weekend mornings, I do kind of wish they'd limit laptop campers a bit so more people can actually grab a seat. Other than that, it's a solid 5/5. We were lucky enough to grab a nice booth and enjoyed our time there. Bathroom was clean. I wish the pastries were available early mornings because when we ordered, the cashier said they wouldn't be there for another hour. We came here on grand opening day and had such a wonderful experience, their coffee shop is absolutely beautiful and since then we've been regular customers ever since. However, during our visit today (a Saturday morning around 11 a.m.), which I understand is one of their busiest times, I was a bit disappointed. They were out of French toast, so I decided to switch my order to the Mediterranean Drift Salad, but shortly after ordering, I was told they were also out of quinoa. I completely understand that busy days can be hectic, but it would be great if they could plan ahead and keep extra stock of popular ingredients on weekends. I stopped in on my way to a pottery class down the street. It was around 1:40 PM on a Saturday and there was a line of about 8 people. I was there for a coffee and a chai. Aesthetic Layout was 1000/10: The amount of beautiful textures/materials, cozy color palate, ambiant lighting, and soft curves of the layout was gorgeous! They even played Cleo Sol which is a super vibe. 2. Matcha 9.5/10: I wish there were more variety in sweetners like Ube, lavender etc., but the high quality of the matcha was definitely there and went well with vanilla sweetener. 3. A great new coffee spot in the IE! The vibes in here were emulating an LA/OC mixed with Joshua Tree coffee shop. The layout, the furniture and the architecture are so aesthetically pleasing. Service was friendly, quick and informative! Loved chatting with the Cashier. The coffee matches up with the look of this place too. I was super disappointed by this new coffee shop in town. I walked in and immediately loved the atmosphere. The tiles are so cute and it just had that aesthetic coffee shop look to it! Unfortunately when it came to the drinks and service the whole visit fell apart. Upon ordering, the server seemed annoyed that we were there. They didn't seem eager to answer my questions as a first time customer. Then my drink was made incorrectly and when asking for it to be remade I got more attitude from the barista. They were really busy but it just didn't feel like a warm and kind atmosphere you'd want at coffee shop like this. On top of that my remade coffee wasn't even very good so we likely won't be going back! read more

This is a great place to come to Redlands especially downtown. The only concern is that their business hours are so short which will make State street look bad while most other restaurants are open. Every business on state street should stay open later, perhaps adding dinner to the menu. Today they were out of protein (chicken), so I had my Caesar salad with no protein. This is bad for a new business and they should be well stocked or order their emergency chicken via DoorDash. I also wish they had outside seating and not let the people by themselves sitting for hours take large tables of four. Overall great coffee, good matcha, and great atmosphere. Stopped by today for the first time and wow. This is easily one of the best lattes I've had in a very long time. I'm always looking for new coffee shops in Redlands, and this one really stands out. They do close at 3 p.m., but if you can make it before then, it is absolutely worth it. I ordered the brown sugar latte with cinnamon, and oh my gosh, it was so good. Smooth, perfectly balanced, and truly some of the best tasting coffee I've had in ages. I've tried a lot of coffee shops in Redlands, and this one is at the top. I also got the peanut butter and jelly sandwich for my daughter, but we took out the jelly since she doesn't like it, and she loved it. The peanut butter was really good, it was on wheat bread, and it came with fruit on the side. The price was incredible too. $4.95 for a kids meal is such a win. I ordered the avocado toast for myself, and it was amazing. Fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with love!!! The inside of the shop is beautiful. Normally I'd let things slide, but since I confirmed with the cashier I wanted whole milk 3 times before checking the receipt and then seeing half and half on the receipt and confirming another 2 times I wanted whole milk only to end with two coffees that did not have whole milk and something other than half and half is wild. We're not allergic or anything, so if the alternative milk was almond milk they got lucky there, but that's pretty dangerous. In my case, it's just highly annoying because I confirmed a total of 5 times what milk I wanted and ended up with a watery milk alternative. Not a fan of the taste of alternative milks so the coffee wasn't drinkable for either of us. read more

This was a really cool find! This is a new spot in downtown Redlands and I love me a big coffee shop. They've got great food options which I'll be trying next time and also pressed juice options and merch. They've selling point with this place for me was how big the shop is inside which you'll see in my pics! Also the customer service was TOP TIER, the cashier was very informative because I and so many questions about what to order since their menu is very simplified and after our drinks came out the barista asked us to try them to see if we wanted to make any adjustments which was a simple but incredible touch and gesture. The drinks were perfect so no adjustments needed but it was nice not to be rushed out or dismissed just because she gave us our drinks. I'll definitely be back! Also when I arrived I waited in line for about 20 minutes because the line was literally out the door, that could change because it's new and I think a lot of locals and people who work downtown want to try it. I've been wanting to try RoadRunner for a minute, today I decided to come in and try it. They have a spring menu with a Carrot Cake Latte and a Pink Guava Lemonade (they have other ones as well but these were the two I tried). My sister and I love trying new coffee shops. We came in about noon, and they were all out of plastic cups for my $8 iced latte. I'm not saying $8 is a lot but this is what it looked like...... .
