Love coming to try out newer coffee shops. And this one did not disappoint. Right smack in the middle of downtown Redlands where all the goodies are at. This coffee shop is modern, very well designed/decorated, sells their own merch, and is kids friendly. They are spacious for something of its kind, has a kids corner, staff are welcoming and efficient, not only was my coffee delicious but my salad was even better! I'm looking forward to spending more time here.

Carrot cake iced latte (I went decaf) & coffee cake
    Kei M.

On par with the other reviews, this is a hopping coffee shop but the line runs smoothly & quickly! I checked out the Carrot Cake Latte special & it was so flavorful & fun! It was served on the best pebble ice & with a baby carrot to top. The cold foam was a real treat to balance the spices of the latte, I would recommend! I also got the last slice of coffee cake (it was 3:30p after all) for an afternoon treat which was delicious as well. Instead of a dryer dense coffee cake, it was fluffy and spongy with nice swirls of cinnamon inside. Can't wait to come back to try their other pastries in the box. I appreciated that they said they generally keep anything with nuts in a separate container to avoid cross contamination. That is usually a struggle to verify ingredients when ordering at cafes and pastry boxes, so that was such a nice piece of mind. If you don't mind a short wait, you're in for a nice treat at RoadRunner Coffee

The Roadrunner is an eye pleasing stunner with a kids corner that makes this a little bit funner. Coffee is fire just like Joe Strummer! You can't afford to pass this place up because if you do it would be a bummer. If the drinks are good now then I can hardly wait for the summer. But if I do?! I'd feel like Dumb and Dumber! I can't let that happen so I'll be on it like a twenty four seven plumber! Riding in s supped up Hummer. ????

This super cute little coffee shop just opened in October and it is amazing. The coffee is so good, and I love that they're very kid-oriented. They even have a little kids' play area with a mini coffee shop setup, which is adorable. It makes it such a great spot for moms to gather and actually enjoy their drinks while the kids stay entertained. This isn't really a quiet study or work-from-your-laptop type of place, it's more of a gathering and conversation kind of coffee shop, which I personally love. The servers are super friendly, the prices are reasonable, and the whole place has this charming desert coffee shop vibe. When you walk in, it just feels warm and welcoming. Such a cute spot with a really cool atmosphere. I'll definitely be back and highly recommend checking it out!

Mango sticky rice matcha and carrot cake latte
    Ingrid G.

Ordered the mango sticky rice matcha and carrot cake latte. Did not have to wait long even though it was pretty packed so that's a plus always! It's a lot bigger inside than it seems so there's plenty of room to study or sit and chat. Our drinks were decent but maybe just a little too sweet so if you have a sweet tooth def for you!

Parking was a synch for a Sunday morning! We parked in the back and made our way to the coffee shop. The line was insane and constant. It was difficult finding a table to do work at and we felt very discouraged. There were a lot of people saving the tables instead of ordering first. Their WiFi also did not work, since it was packed inside. We ordered their gingerbread latte and a citrus bloom. Their gingerbread latte was very sweet. I couldn't taste my coffee. The citrus bloom was full of citrus. It was okay. It resembled the orange chocolate balls that you would buy during the holiday season. The servers weren't the nicest. They seem stressed. It was chaotic and noisy inside, so not super ideal for work, even with headphones on. Needless to say, I don't think we'd be back on a weekend. Probably will attempt a weekday in the future.

    Hot mocha and matcha latte

RoadRunner Coffee is a charming new addition to State Street in downtown Redlands. Parking on the street can be hit or miss, but there are nearby options and it's very walkable. The shop has a super cute, social-media-worthy aesthetic, and while there was a line out the door when we arrived, it moved quickly. The barista was friendly and efficient without being overly chatty. Drink prices are what you'd expect from a local coffee spot. We skipped food this visit but ordered a mocha--my husband said it was delicious and perfectly chocolatey--and an iced matcha for me, which was decent and served in a unique cup. The space was lively with people studying and chatting, and it's bigger than it looks from the front. There's even a children's area in the back with a pretend coffee shop, which is a thoughtful touch. I loved the signs on the larger tables encouraging gathering and socializing rather than long work sessions--it really keeps the community vibe. Wi-Fi is available if you ask. Overall, RoadRunner Coffee already feels like a neighborhood staple.

    Gingerbread matcha, vanilla matcha

A lovely spacious cafe in the middle to DTR and fell in love the moment I stepped in. They have plenty of seating and booths for chatting with friends, enjoying a meal, or even studying. Friendly staff and really cute aesthetic--giving Joshua Tree minimal desert chic. My friend got the vanilla matcha, not too sweet and good matcha. I got the seasonable gingerbread foam matcha and it was delicious. I was hesitant to try something seemingly too sweet but the gingerbread foam was the right amount of spice and creaminess for the matcha. I thoroughly enjoyed the drinks and the space of the coffee shop. I want to try the food next--everything looks and smells delicious!

    Chicken sandwich

After wanting to try this place since their opening, I finally made it in tonight. I was pleasantly surprised to see that they're open until 6pm, which is not the case for most coffee shops! I tried their Tuscan chicken sandwich and a cortado. The food was delicious, and the presentation was beautiful. I loved the attention to detail with the tiny flowers mixed in with the fruit. The coffee tasted a little burnt, but it wasn't bad. I'll likely try a latte for my next visit. The service was very good here as well! All the employees were super friendly and helpful, even shortly before closing. The overall vibe of the cafe is comfy and aesthetic, and a place that I could see myself wanting to come back to time and time again. Very IG worthy if you're into that heehee. I'm excited to come back and try some of their other food options!

As of December 2025, they are relatively new but have already become a favorite locals spot. (Be patient: the lines were long at the breakfast and lunch hours when I dropped by.) On this visit we dropped by on a holiday, and they were fully staffed and in full swing. This coffee shop has a very open and clean design. The service area is centrally located, and was quick and efficient. This is a family orientated coffee shop (See my pic of the children's area for serving their own.) They sell Moon Oat roaster's coffee. As a plain cup of coffee, it's a bit strong and acidic. As you can see from my menu pics, while they service food, it's a bit limited (but also has a kid's selection).

    Carrot Cake Latte
    Colleen R.

Carrot Cake Latte was wonderful! If a latte and carrot had a baby! It was a spring special but I'm so glad I tried it! I could taste all the flavors in the perfect balance! There was even a baby carrot on top! Service was superb! I love the whimsical attitude from the barista. Ambiance was super chill and warm. Give 'em an espresso shot and wander downtown! It's well worth it!

BUT IN THE INLAND EMPIRE BABY. it was so smooth, whisked, and CREAMY. the vanilla cream top really topped it off, it was perfectly balanced and not insanely sweet. Creamy, fluffy foam, coconutty flavor with a bit of caramel sweetness, dark chocolate espresso and alotta cinnamon flavor. Deliciously perfect for a Fall or Winter drink! This drink took me by surprise! Really enjoyed it! CHOCOLATE SEMOLINA OLIVE OIL LOAF It wasn't bad, but a bit disappointed that it was straight up chocolate loaf. Technically, it is more of a cocoa loaf, as it is not sweet nor is there chocolate in it. However, it had a lovely spongy, bouncy texture. Flavor-wise, it's nothing special especially with the long name and all. SUNSHINE MATCHA LATTE (Iced) Nekohama matcha. Latte was a bit sweet. But you can taste the Earl Grey and matcha. Got it with whole milk. It made it creamy, which was good. I did taste a hint of lemon in it as well. Honestly did not like that extra lemon flavor, as it distracted from the Earl Grey itself. I don't think the lemon was necessary. There was citrus flavor, but not tartness. I think citrus peel would have been better if they wanted an extra citrus flavor. Overall, it wasn't bad except the lemon flavor. Really threw me off. CUSTOMER SERVICE Service was nice. Recommended drinks were good. INDOOR & OUTDOOR SEATS A-PLENTY Ambiance had a retro feel, which was fun. Indoor was packed! No tables or seats available. Smaller tables for 2. Outdoor tables and seats were available. Big groups can be seated outdoors with larger tables. Bathroom available. PARKING LOT Small-ish parking lot. Parking lot was packed. Our server was quick with our large order and I wouldn't mind trying other iced drinks throughout the Summer either. I ordered a hot rose cardamom latte with oatmilk which was just ok for me, my co-worker ordered an iced strawberry latte with orange cold foam ,but received an iced strawberry matcha instead. Luckily she also likes matcha and it was really good, so she wasn't that disappointed. My other co-workers ordered a hot honey cinnamon cappuccino with oatmilk, an iced golden hour from the spring menu, a cortado and a cinnamon roll. The golden hour was an iced mango lemonade topped with matcha and she loved it. The cortado tasted real authentic according to my other co-worker. The cinnamon roll shared amongst a few of us was to die for! We're definitely coming back.

The worker was super nice and helpful, especially since I was being really indecisive about what to get. They took their time to explain things and helped me decide without making it feel rushed at all. I got the matcha latte, and I absolutely loved it. It was smooth, well balanced, and just really comforting without being too heavy or overly sweet. I also tried a few drinks off my friends' orders, like the Assam + Oat and the Barley + Sea Cream. The Assam + Oat had a really deep, bold tea flavor that paired nicely with the creamy oat milk, making it smooth but still strong. The Barley + Sea Cream was more unique, with a light roasted, nutty taste from the barley and a rich, slightly salty cream top that made it really interesting and different in a good way. It's a really cozy spot that highlights the tea experience in a simple but thoughtful way, and I'd definitely come back.

Hoji shared the same parking lot with a coffee shop we're familiar with! On a Sunday afternoon, there was plenty of parking. When you walk up to the store, there isn't a sign on the outside. Before walking in, there's also a posted sign that says only 10 people at a time. We counted about 6 people, and proceeded to walk in. The decor is timeless and vintage. Super cool to look at and enjoy. We turned around and there was the cashier. It definitely is a small as can be. We took a bit of time looking at the menu and then deciding our drinks. We were a bit indecisive, but settled on their Rose Salted Cream and their Hojicha Black Sesame. The cashier was a bit interesting and didn't bother to help us or explain anything. He had us repeat our order a few times out of inattentiveness. It wasn't loud in there, but he definitely wasn't listening. Immediately after our order, he goes on his phone. Another worker had finished making a drink for a customer, and had to nudge the cashier to let him know the drink was ready. Even then, he wasn't on alert about it and made a face at the customer who stood up to grab the drink. Our drinks came out fairly quickly. We took our photos and left to sit in the car. It was quite small and stuffy in there. Our drinks were delightful! You can definitely taste the hojicha. The black sesame didn't overpower the drink, as for the rose salted cream, it was flowery enough. The boba itself was definitely handmade and perfectly chewy. I can understand why this store's drinks are a favorite. I deducted a star because of the service and attitude. We walked out the door saying goodbye, and even then, they didn't seem to care. The customer service here is lacking, but at least the drinks are decent. I might wait to see if any changes are made to their workers before coming back to try again.

H - Hospitality - The staff is friendly, respectful, hardworking, and personable. In no particular order: Zoe, Mandy, Grace, Zach, Piper, Reagan, Mackenzie, David, Ava, Amelie, Rivers, Casey, and Emery (apologies if I've missed anyone) all demonstrate a high level of customer service. Each person brings different strengths that promote a relaxing and enjoyable environment. The owners, Nick and Rayji, are passionate about their craft and never cut corners when it comes to providing the best products and service possible. I've witnessed the rare moments where a drink was missed, something was spilled, an order was misunderstood, or a rude customer walked in, and every situation was handled with kindness and great hospitality regardless. O - Outstanding Drinks - Having visited hundreds of coffee shops across LA and Orange County, I can confidently say Hooray keeps up with the best of them. The coffee isn't too acidic, and the drinks have been consistently excellent. My favorites are the Honey Cinnamon Latte, "Zach's Special," and the Golden Hour (thanks for bringing it back!). I'm not typically a matcha drinker, but the Golden Hour is my exception. O - Open, Inviting Space - Although Hooray can get busy on weekends, the outdoor seating adds a welcoming option. The nook in the back is a great place to disappear into a book or dive into your work. The bar seating is my favorite because I can socialize with the baristas. Also, parking is one of Hooray's biggest advantages over many coffee shops in Redlands. R - Reasonable Prices - Drinks and food are reasonably priced. They bring in pastries from Two Trees and Deuax. Always a good selection. They also make food in-house, and it's all delectable. My go-to orders are the Avocado Toast, Grilled Cheese, Quesadilla, and Turkey Pesto Panini. A - Aesthetic & Décor - Hooray has a cute, quaint, and homey feel. It's a great place to hang out with a friend or family member, get some work done, or simply study. The music varies depending on who's working, classic rock, indie, house, pop, rap, R&B, and more. It has never been too loud for me. Y - You'll Want to Come Back! Just like me!
