I came in after a long flight from Ontario Airport not in the best mood. I was tired and just ready to relax but the moment I walked in I was instantly greeted by the sweetest girl at the front register I believe her name was Anisa. She had such a warm and welcoming personality and was incredibly patient with me while I asked a million questions. I ended up ordering the guava matcha based on her recommendation and I have to say it did NOT disappoint! It was honestly one of the best matchas I've ever had, so refreshing especially on such a hot summer day. Since the place was pretty full I ended up sitting in the bar area and that turned out to be another great experience. Another employee, Genesis made me feel right at home. She was so friendly and genuinely took the time to make conversation with me. She checked in to see how everything was asked if I was enjoying my food, and just made me feel welcomed and comfortable. It honestly felt like I was out having food and drinks with my girlfriends rather than sitting somewhere by myself. Moral of the story I have already recommended this place to all my friends and family in the IE, especially because I just found out that it's a newer spot. And best believe the next time I come back from Georgia this will be my FIRST stop again! I'm already looking forward to coming back and trying more things from the menu. The line literally goes around the shop but it does move quickly. I ordered their summer drink menu - guava oat milk matcha and it was delicious! Nice cafe with ample seating. I went here for brunch with friends, and we were able to score a table without much trouble. The Day Breaker sandwich was yummy, although a bit salty. The portion is pretty big, I couldn't eat the fries on the side. This cafe is on the pricier side, which takes off a couple points for me. It's just a regular sandwich haha. The servers are nice enough; they took my order without any major issues. There was a little bit of a wait, but not bad at all. Recommend coming here early for an indoor seat. The Guava Coconut Matcha was okay. Don't think I'd order it again. I'd buy the Yuzu soda and order the Market Frittata again though. A peaceful and beautifully decorated cafe near downtown Redlands. We came after a morning walk and the line was just building up. They had a full food menu and fun and enticing seasonal flavors that made me want to come back for more, such as fig vanilla and blueberry! Service was excellent and the coffee was great. I got the pistachio latte and my friend got the blueberry. While I loved the pistachio-forward flavors, it was honestly too sweet for me. I've only been here a couple of times, but each time has always been great! A kind customer talked to me about how Cafe Cultivate uses natural, clean and fresh ingredients, making sure to prioritize customer care and satisfaction. The Roman sandwich is AMAZING and their blueberry matcha is wonderful as well. My friend got the "birthday cake iced coffee" and a kale salad. She said it was also really yummy. It's usually pretty busy here, so probably not a great place to study but an awesome place to go and catch up with friends. There is an hour of free wifi and plenty of seating. Unfortunately, I gave Cafe Cultivate two chances and left disappointed both times. The first time, I visited with my daughter. Since it was our first visit, we had a few questions about the menu, and the staff came across as very unfriendly and almost bothered by us asking questions. The drinks themselves were tasty, but the customer service really took away from the experience. I work in customer service myself, so I understand that everyone can have an off day, and I decided not to judge the business based on one visit. I went back a second time with my 6-year-old, hoping for a better experience. We arrived about an hour before closing and were told they were completely done serving food because they had sold out and had stopped making anything else. The only food available was one pastry left in the case, and unfortunately there was a fly flying around inside the case, so that was an immediate no for us. What confused me most is that I remember the owner emphasizing on Instagram that Cafe Cultivate isn't simply a coffee shop, but a restaurant. If that's the case, I think it's reasonable for customers to expect food service during the restaurant's posted business hours, especially a full hour before closing. I really wanted to like this place, which is why I went back a second time. Cafe Cultivate has quickly become my new favorite local spot. My two cents is kind of long but it's worth noting so hang with me... The place- From the moment you walk in, it feels like you've escaped somewhere coastal. It's bright, airy, and inviting with what I I think is a perfect balance of Mediterranean meets California coastal vibes. The patio is also beautiful, the decor is thoughtfully curated, and every little corner makes you want to sit, stay awhile, and enjoy the moment. But it's not just pretty... The Food-- The coffee here is excellent. They use fresh beans from a local roaster, make their syrups in house, and you can taste the care that goes into every drink. The food is just as impressive. A European inspired cafe fare with fresh, quality ingredients that are as beautiful as they are delicious.The pastry case is always filled with beautiful pastries from Twelve Eleven bakery. Made fresh daily with seasonal ingredients and it's honestly hard to walk past without wanting to try one of everything. My current go to is the Trinity Latte (cardamom, maple& pistachio) paired with a Morning Bun. The people-- What really ties it all together though, is the people. The owner is incredibly passionate and talented. You can tell that she has poured her heart into creating something special for the community. The staff are always friendly and welcoming. Some are younger and new, still learning as you'd expect from a brand new business but their effort is evident and that's something worth encouraging. A Friendly PSA about Yelp-- Yelp is a helpful tool but it's still made up of individual opinion. I've read some of the negative reviews, and honestly, they make me a little sad. It's okay to have constructive criticism. It's not okay to act like Gordon Ramsay because your latte took a few extra minutes during a rush. Every NEW business has growing pains but not every review tells a whole story. Imagine being a new business owner and pouring your savings, countless hours, stress, and heart into creating something for your community, only to have strangers tear it apart after ONE busy visit. The conclusion-- We're always saying we want more locally owned businesses instead of chains. Well, this is exactly the kind of place we should be rooting for. I'm grateful to have this charming little place to spend my days off with a nice cup of coffee, delicious food, and a relaxing atmosphere. Cafe Cultivate is a wonderful addition to the area, and I truly hope our community gives them the grace and support every new small business deserves. If your first visit happens during a rush, maybe extend a little patience instead of reaching for Yelp. A single busy morning doesn't define a business. It's always funny to read negative reviews on a business who is soft opening to figure out the kinks of owning a business. That is the entire purpose of a soft launch--to give grace to the organization and give them insight on how to be better--not to blast them for trying. But, we are in 2026, and I digress.. Heard the spot was finally "soft" opening so brought my kids. The place was PACKED. Immediately I was happy for them. The line moved pretty quickly. Staff was very friendly, and very accommodating. We ordered the focaccia sandwich, Romano sandwich, avo toast, passion fruit lemonade, blueberry lemonade, Spanish latte with raw milk, and 3 pastries. We were hungry. Place is very aesthetic, has lots of greenery and light penetrating in--it feels, like positive energy in there. It's very clean. Attention to detail in the salt/pepper shakers, straw dispensers--everything, you can tell someone poured love into this place. Maybe 5 people working behind the coffee bar, drinks came out quickly, even with a line in front of us. Spanish latte was very good, I was impressed with the quality of coffee and milk steam. Kids loved the lemonades--tasted like real ingredients, not boxed flavor. The owner is in the back literally making food and delivering to tables, and was very pleasant. Even brought over some aioli for us to try on the side potatoes. Sandwiches were very good. The bread crispy, nice balance of salty/sweet/savory. The pesto was a hit. Avo toast was very good too (our cashier recommended an egg on top, and it was a good call). The toast was a little too crispy for my liking, but nonetheless flavor profile was great. They know how to work with flavors and balance here. While sitting there, my daughter asked if they forgot about our pastries, and what happens if they end up selling them? And I said it may happen, if it does, we will figure it out. She was right. Out of the 3 pastries, they sold out of one we ordered. Without us saying anything, one of the staff members came and asked us if we would like another option or a refund. She was very polite and understanding and helpful. They're brand new, just days open, and deserve grace. Kids inhaled the food before we could photograph it, but here are the tricks we loved it all. We will be back and often. The iced coffee that I got was not sweet enough and it was the same coffee/drink that I previously ordered. I love supporting small (local) businesses so we are gonna go back to try more items. I've been to Cafe Cultivate twice now and really do like the vibe here, the drinks and chia pudding are great. But my second visit left me pretty disappointed. I ordered the pink tacos and asked to sub avocado for chicken since I'm vegetarian. I was told that wasn't possible, but they could add avocado as an extra, and confirmed the tacos would come with just egg, cheese, and potato without the chicken. When my food came out, there was no potato, just egg and cheese. When I asked about it, I was told the potato is actually mixed in with the chicken, so I'd have to order a side of potato separately and pay extra, even though I was specifically told my tacos would include it. I reached out directly instead of leaving a review right away since they're new, and the response I got felt like it brushed past the actual issue: I was told what I'd be getting, and that's not what I received. I never got a reply after pointing that out. I do love the drinks and the space, and I want to come back, but I'd love to see more consistency between what's promised at the register and what actually shows up on the plate. read more

Very nice location but the service on Sunday was extremely slow... ordered two coffees and a chocolate milk and waited over 45 minutes for it but I learned it's because Sundays are one of the busiest days and this particular day they were understaffed and owner made a video on IG explaining what happened. Also, she highlighted they were not a coffee shop but a restaurant. I think it was just an unfortunate situation so I'm totally open to trying it again and I really want to try the food because the menu looks AMAZING especially bringing a healthy option to the IE. You typically don't get many options like this except for the OC or SD, especially ones that don't have any seed oils!! Also, the food came out quick. It was just the drinks that took a very long time. Even though we got our coffee late, I really liked my toasted coconut latte so kudos to the staff for the house made syrups! This is a new restaurant and they're still learning so I understand this is a new experience for them and honestly, the fact they were this busy is a good sign and I'm hopeful they'll improve the experience for themselves and their customers. I would like to offer a few suggestions just from what I saw. I think reorganizing the front house: - although not a coffee shop, you do offer a variety of lattes and everyone loves coffee so I think moving the espresso machine where the matcha area is will provide a much better flow for staff or at least put it next to each other. I noticed it was very cramped next to the register and not a lot of space for staff. Maybe move the matcha to the other end after the kitchen doors since coffee making requires more space vs matcha making (imo from what I've seen in other shops and videos). It's easier to have more space for your supplies and everything at an easy reach. - I would also suggest the cashier could write the type of latte, milk, syrup details on the plastic cup in addition to the tickets. We ordered two coffees and chocolate milk and the milk was missed because the ticket cut off the milk order. This could prevent delays as well and any missed items - possibly invest in a bigger or an additional espresso machine. Again, I know it's not a coffee shop but many customers don't know or watch social media videos of businesses but when they see a coffee menu on Yelp or Google with a variety of options they typically expect quick service to get coffee probably 15-20 min at most. Overall, this family business has potential and I could see them becoming more popular and I would like to see them make it because we really need a healthy food option like this in Redlands!! read more

I'm not really one for sharing bad reviews but today was the straw that broke the camels back! We've been here several times and got what we wanted only once. The first time we tried this place out we enjoyed it, the ambiance, the service, and the food was delicious! They did get my husbands coffee wrong but he let that go. We shared a sandwich called The Italian Job, which was quite frankly one of the best sandwiches I've ever had! So we decided to go back for that same sandwich on another day. The first attempt they told us it was brunch and they don't serve it on a brunch day. Ok- our bad, we didn't know that. The next time we went on a "non brunch" day, and they said, "Oh sorry we are doing brunch today even though it's not our usual brunch day." Strike 2! The third time I called ahead because my drive each time is about 35-40 minutes -they didn't answer, so we didn't go. Strike 3! The fourth time I called ahead but they didn't answer, so we gave it a shot anyways and whattya know? They ran out of ingredients to make that sandwich. Strike 4! TODAY I called to make sure they had the sandwich available, they said yes but I'd have to come in and order it because they don't take phone orders, so we did. My husband got the order and put it in our ice chest since we were going to be enjoying it later, again, we had a long ride home. We got home and were so excited to eat it again finally...and the order was completely wrong!! I don't even know what kind of sandwich was in there but it certainly wasn't The Italian Job and hummus side that we ordered and paid for! At this point I don't think we'll ever get to enjoy that sandwich again and I'd like a refund for today but don't want to drive all the way out there to get it! Now, I can understand if this kids breakfast was some great deal and I wasn't purchasing anything else, then maybe this could be questioned. However, considering the kids breakfast was $12 for 2 eggs, a small sausage, and small toast... it was hardly a "steal". After the cashier came back and said they would allow me to purchase the kids breakfast, I felt so uncomfortable and like I was some criminal for ordering this. I came in to Cafe Cultivate and ordered an iced matcha and when I sat down the customer next to me informed me that the drinks were taking longer than usual to serve, which I understood bc I believe they were short-staffed that day. I needed to be at a lunch with one of my clients and I had to leave ASAP so I asked one of the workers (Aneesa / Anissa) what the estimated time was to get my drink. Without any hesitation, she confirmed my order and immediately started working on my drink. She didn't have to do this, but she did, and I'm SO grateful for her attentiveness and kindness. That said, my order has been made incorrectly on two different visits, and the customer service at the register could be a bit more welcoming. On my last visit, I asked for light ice and was told they don't offer it because of portion sizes. They did make it with less ice, but the drink wasn't filled to the top, which was a little confusing. Overall, I still enjoy coming here and think it's a great spot. I've only had one genuinely positive experience with one of the girls, while some of my other interactions have felt a little uncomfortable. My mom and I came for the first time today and it was a pleasurable experience from beginning to end. I took my order with Asma, who was incredibly kind. She greeted me with a positive energy and smile and quickly built rapport. She was very knowledgeable on the menu and was a pleasure to chat with. She was very kind to my mother as well and it felt like we were guests in a home. We ordered the guava lemonade which was refreshing and an iced americano with the trinity syrup. Way too overhyped! After hearing good reviews online and from a family friend, I was looking forward to trying out this place. I ordered an iced blueberry latte and an iced trinity latte and they were both underwhelming. Just tasted really bitter and not sweet. The cafe wasn't busy either, so I don't think it was an issue of being too overwhelmed to put out drink and food orders. Not sure what happened, but I won't be returning given this first impression. On the other hand, the aesthetics of the cafe are beautiful. Sadly, aesthetics can't make up for the lack of flavor. read more
