Greatest BBQ I have ever had in my life service was amazing the food was so good my family had to order twice!

Went here for this first time today and had a wonderful lunch. My son had the bbq chicken sandwich with fries and the oreo milkshake for dessert, while we split the sampler. It had pulled pork, chicken, brisket and sausage. Coleslaw and mac n cheese on the side. Everything was delicious, it was busy but not packed so we easily got a table and were able to eat and visit with each other and take our time. It's very cool that it's in the old rainbow movie theater that I grew up watching movies with friends and now it's a cute little row of businesses. The doors into Cornerstone are the theater doors and the ticket booth is still to the right, painted over of course. Great decor and nostalgia. I was expecting just meh, but I was pleasantly surprised by the ambiance and quality of the food. I would love to try their breakfast too. What a cool concept, bbq and breakfast. The food quality was top tier, the service was great, and the staff was super cool and welcoming. Honestly, the inviting vibe alone makes me want to come back. Long overdue as all my other ones usually are. This is for one reason only. I like to see consistency. They have 2 locations near me one in Yucaipa and one in Redlands both are fantastic. No matter what you get the food is amazing. I recommend the sampler platter as you get a little of everything and highly recommend the shakes I mean just look at it! Pulled pork, chicken,brisket and sausage are all amazing. Mac and cheese is good not great but still worth the order. Cesar salad good but eat a little quick as they dress it generously. This review is long overdue. Undoubtedly, the BEST breakfast burrito i've ever had (and i've had a lot). Blew my mind the first time i had it, and now I keep going back. I've tried the breakfast burrito with beef and the one with pork belly. The pork belly is the way to go. So flavorful and very filling. I like that they add bell peppers to the egg! And to make it even better, I add their Ghost Sauce to every bite. I'm obsessed. The only "con" that some people might have is going to be the price. It's about 18$ . I'm not usually a bbq girl, it takes a lot for me to WANT to eat anything bbq so when I find a bbq joint that I like, I rave about it. Cornerstone bbq is PHENOMENAL. It's one of two bbq joints I'll crave and I've had bbq in new Texas. They're food quality is phenomenal and the food is always amazing. I'm a big fan of the brisket, and tri-tip so we usually get a 1/2 lb of each. The meat fries are amazing. The season fries they use are always crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. We also love their bbq chilaquiles for breakfast! The service here is always great and friendly. Parking in the area can be difficult but worth it! There is lots of seating inside and with sports games usually playing. We've taken my in laws here who are huge bbq fans and they loved it ! This restaurant is such a gem! The building used to be an old movie theater, which already makes it super cool, and they've kept such a nice aesthetic--stylish, welcoming, and unique. Walking in, we were greeted by the friendly staff who even brought sauces straight to our table. The food was absolutely delicious. We had the pork chops, mac and cheese, potato salad, cornbread, and some brisket. The mac and cheese was very cheesy and delicious, and the potato salad was seasoned just right--packed with flavor but not overdone. The pork chops were savory without being too fatty, and for once, I didn't get heartburn like I usually do when eating pork (huge plus!). The brisket was tender, tasty, and full of flavor. We stopped by Redlands Public Market after our Women's Retreat at Forest Home. Everything looked great there, but BBQ sounded extra good. I got 2 meats + side with brisket, pork belly, and coleslaw. I wasn't expecting crispy pork belly, but no complaints here...how can you go wrong with pork belly! Everything was great, and the quantity was large. I brought leftovers home for my boys to share. They said that they would love to come here in the near future. You know, we would drive here from south OC! Sauces were also tasty - I enjoyed the ghost pepper sauce and spicy mustard. I got a little of each of the 4 sauces to-go for my boys, and the ghost pepper one was our favorite. They said it reminded them of Chick Fil-a sauce with a little kick (we like spicy and was actually hoping for more spice). Great food, great service, great environment! I was meeting my Son in Redlands where I spent most of the 90's. It a lot different now so u don't know any lunch places. A coworker told me about Cornerstone BBQ so we met there. It's a unique place in part of the building that was once the Fox Theater. Looks like that may have been one of the lounges. If you are old enough you remember these big theaters had bars and lounges attached cause a night out to the movies was a big occasion. Anyway back to the food. I had the Tri tip and pulled pork with a side of really good Cole slaw. Super tender, excellent sauces. I like all BBQ but this was really good. While you're at it take a drive around that area of Redlands. It's really well preserved and you can see some gorgeous old craftsmen style houses. First have some BBQ. read more

I've heard great things about this place and countless positive reviews. Therefore, it's been on my list for awhile. I went at 3pm on a Sunday afternoon. Business was busy but not to the point of overwhelming. It is a walk up and order experience. There are separate breakfast and lunch/dinner menus. But both menus were available to order from. I ordered the Holy Trinity platter from the lunch/dinner menu. It comes with 4 ribs, 2 full sausages, 4 slices of brisket, 4 slices of bread, and two sides. I also ordered the banana pudding. Customer service is top notch. There were 3 people working the front that I encountered and they were all amazing. Things I enjoyed: The ribs are delicious. Their bbq sauces are very good. Especially the spicy sauce. I noticed a ghost sauce, but the sauce I was given was identified as the spicy sauce. I'm not sure if they're the same. The sausages were good as well. I've had a lot of variations of banana pudding at different bbq restaurants. This was good but not great. Now, not for the so great: The brisket was dry and lacked flavor. The smoke ring is beautiful on it. I just found it to be ok. The baked beans and Mac and cheese were basic. I was excited to try this spot in the Redlands public market since I was in the area with some friends. Opted for the two meat combo with a side. The service was good and the food came out really quickly. Unfortunately a food left a lot to be desired. The best part was the ribs which was seasoned well and very flavorful. The brisket was pretty mediocre and dry though, and the mashed potatoes were okay. The price was not bad for BBQ as it was about $22 but I wish the food was more fresh. You could kind of tell that it was made earlier in the day and just cut up to serve and by the time it got to us it was not hot or fresh. I've always heard about Cornerstone Bbq ever since I've moved to the IE so we were excited to try this place out. This is located in the packing district in Redlands - great area. We decided to order the rib trio and added one side - baked beans. Overall, it was okay. The ribs weren't that tender but the flavor of them were okay. The sweet one was my favorite though, almost like a maple glaze. However, they were kind of dry and they tasted as if they were left out for a bit. It was basically room temp. I've eaten here for dinner once and just tried the breakfast today. It's really solid bbq in a casual environment. The sauces are delicious! The portions for dinner are big so I shared with my husband and there was more than enough for both of us splitting a platter. They open at 7am for breakfast as well and I prefer the breakfast over the dinner. The breakfast burrito with the smoked sausage and salsa on it is truly perfection. The burritos do need a sauce or they will be dry. We also tried the fried chicken and waffle, and we will never order that again because the chicken was quite dry and the waffle tasted off and syrup was thick and hard to pour. The small slice Brisket was kinda dry, diced chicken meat was dry but bbq pulled pork was delish!! The presentation of the food was very appealing. The brisket was nice and tender and the BBQ sauce was really good. There were 2 different BBQ sauces and they were both good. The coleslaw was good and had a little kick. The brisket baked beans were a highlight. I would definitely get those. My only complaint is that the portion of brisket was a little small. Really wanted to love the bbq here. It smelled SO GOOD. But everything was very underwhelming with the exception of the jalapeno cheddar sausage. We ordered the three meat plate plus two sides to share. As you can see in the photos, the brisket was so dry, I was so sad. The pork ribs were also pretty bland and dry. Located inside the Redlands public market is cornerstone barbecue. I am a huge fan of barbecue ribs. What they offer here that was interesting to me is the ribs flight. It comes with three different styles of ribs - meat candy, dry rub, and asada. I have to say, I could not tell the difference between which rib was cooked in which style and the meat was not fall off the bone. The ribs were on the tough side and chewy. It didn't tasted like it was barbecue'd either. So what went right for me the this spot a high rating. Well, it's the selection of BBQ sauces, and in particular the Kansas style BBQ sauce. It is one of the best BBQ sauces I have ever had. The sauce is just speckled with so many different seasonings. It's well balanced and it saved these otherwise sad ribs. I also went home and cooked the ribs more in the oven for them to dry up a bit and soften them up. Again, the BBQ sauce was the star with the leftover ribs. I would come back and try the other meats only to get a chance to eat the BBQ sauce again. The package also included some yummy cold slaw, pickles and pickle red onions. Casual. And sweet smoky heavens, the beef dino rib was prehistoric in size and absolutely divine.... seasoned like it had a degree in flavor science and smoked like it just came out of a Texas dream!!! First time dine in at Cornerstone BBQ. They have outdoor comfortable seating as well as very spacious and clean indoor with two big screen tv's. Well lit throughout. Staff are friendly and helpful. Service is fast, efficient. Foods are above average. The hot wings are tasty, crispy. The brisket, I prefer a little bit of moisture. This one is a bit on a dry side. Highly recommend this place!!!! I have celiac and I rarely go out to eat because most restaurants do not accommodate my difficulties. I am very sensitive to even the tiniest cross contamination. This is a great place to get some good bbq at a place that's not super crowded. We came late afternoon on a weekday, so it was probably a little slower than the normal dinner time, but there were only a couple of other customers there. We were able to order right away, and the food came out pretty fast. They have a good amount of seating for a relatively small place. They also have a few TVs in the restaurant that they keep tuned to sports. We ordered a plate with brisket, pork ribs, and sausage. We also ordered a smash burger. The bbq was really good. Not the very best that I've had in California, but it ranks high. The smash burger was also good, so they have a good option for someone who might not be in the mood for bbq. We really enjoyed Cornerstone. It's not always easy to find good bbq without a long line or a long wait. We'll be back. read more

Food was okay, unfortunately that's it. I love heat, spice and flavor. I personally felt it was not as good as I had hoped. I've experienced BBQ at its finest, this was not it. Don't waste your money on it. I don't know how you can get that one wrong they must not even have tried it ............. The sides are similar to hospital food. I always enjoy a stop at cornerstones in Redlands. I like the one in Beaumont also but this one is closer. Today I had brisket and pork belly with french fries plate. Brisket was very tender and pork bellies are always excellent crispy on the outside and nice and fatty on the inside. Excellent choice Service was fast and professional and very friendly. The restaurant has simple but tasteful decorations that would go along with a barbecue restaurant plenty of seating inside and a few seats outside on the patio . The first time we had the three amigos which was meat with Bao buns which was amazing and the brisket was some of the best I have ever had. This time we chose the three sliders and we chose sausage (super fantastic), pork, and brisket. They also have three different bbq sauces. The service is great. The staff are friendly and accommodating The food was served fresh and fast. I was searching for bbq on yelp and decided to try this place based on their good reviews. Sad to say that it was a bit disappointing. We did go an hour and fifteen minutes before they closed on a Sunday, but they aren't open on Monday or Tuesdays so they were out of a lot. No beans, potato salad, or corn salad, so my family members were sad about that. It was very clean inside, lots of tables, and seat-yourself style. We ordered a 1/2 pound of ribs, which ended up being about 5 ribs. The ribs were yummy, soft and moist. They were not sticky or really covered with any sauce. They have a couple of their sauces out for you to serve yourself, a Kansas style and a sweet. They appeared to be out of the spicy barbecue sauce, though that did not affect us. We also ordered pulled pork which was delicious, no complaints there. Definitely needed extra sauce. The other meat we ordered was the pork belly. I've had it Korean BBQ style, so I was expecting flat strips, but it came as big chunks. They tasted and seemed fried, which I was not expecting. Took away from the meat for me, I like to let it shine. They were little nuggets of fat, and they were yummy, but hard on my tummy. There's only so much fried food I can eat at once, so if that's you too, I would get something else. In terms of sides, we got mac and cheese and coleslaw. The mac and cheese was heavily peppered, which I loved. It had some lingering spice heat as an aftertaste that I enjoyed. The sauce, however, was not great. It was clumpy and the mac and cheese was cold, and it just could've been so much better. I enjoyed the coleslaw. It wasn't amazing, but it was tangy and it cut the fried food for me. I tasted sour cream in it and liked that, though my grandmother was not a fan. The sides were decently big, and all meals came with toast, pickles, and pickled onions. Their drinks are also very large, no one was able to finish theirs. All that considered, if I go again I will be getting the pulled pork with coleslaw and fries. Their to-go containers are plastic and styrofoam, and their to-go drink cups are also styrofoam. If you are environmentally conscious, bring your own Tupperware for anything you don't eat. read more
