Long overdue as all my other ones usually are. This is for one reason only. I like to see consistency. They have 2 locations near me one in Yucaipa and one in Redlands both are fantastic. No matter what you get the food is amazing. I recommend the sampler platter as you get a little of everything and highly recommend the shakes I mean just look at it! Pulled pork, chicken, brisket and sausage are all amazing. Mac and cheese is good not great but still worth the order. Cesar salad good but eat a little quick as they dress it generously. Service is impeccable at both locations every time always nice and pushing for a positive experience with plenty of room and tvs all around for you to enjoy your food. 10/10 bbq spot and would recommend to anyone in the area looking for a spot that's consistent.

Beef breakfast burrito

This review is long overdue. Undoubtedly, the BEST breakfast burrito i've ever had (and i've had a lot). Blew my mind the first time i had it, and now I keep going back. I've tried the breakfast burrito with beef and the one with pork belly. The pork belly is the way to go. So flavorful and very filling. I like that they add bell peppers to the egg! And to make it even better, I add their Ghost Sauce to every bite. I'm obsessed. The only "con" that some people might have is going to be the price. It's about 18$ . Regardless, I still think it's the best breakfast burrito i've ever had. *DISCLAIMER* Their location inside of the Public Market doesn't have the breakfast burritos. Service is always great and the place is always clean.

This restaurant is such a gem! The building used to be an old movie theater, which already makes it super cool, and they've kept such a nice aesthetic--stylish, welcoming, and unique. Walking in, we were greeted by the friendly staff who even brought sauces straight to our table. The food was absolutely delicious. We had the pork chops, mac and cheese, potato salad, cornbread, and some brisket. The mac and cheese was very cheesy and delicious, and the potato salad was seasoned just right--packed with flavor but not overdone. The pork chops were savory without being too fatty, and for once, I didn't get heartburn like I usually do when eating pork (huge plus!). The brisket was tender, tasty, and full of flavor. Everything was perfectly done. Such a great experience all around--fantastic food, friendly staff, and a one-of-a-kind atmosphere. Definitely worth coming back!

Great spot for meat lover as they offer a variety of dishes, such as classic BBQ, burgers, burritos. They make the sauce in house and it enhances the flavor so much!!

Holy Trinity

I've heard great things about this place and countless positive reviews. Therefore, it's been on my list for awhile. I went at 3pm on a Sunday afternoon. Business was busy but not to the point of overwhelming. It is a walk up and order experience. There are separate breakfast and lunch/dinner menus. But both menus were available to order from. I ordered the Holy Trinity platter from the lunch/dinner menu. It comes with 4 ribs, 2 full sausages, 4 slices of brisket, 4 slices of bread, and two sides. I also ordered the banana pudding. Customer service is top notch. There were 3 people working the front that I encountered and they were all amazing. Things I enjoyed: The ribs are delicious. Their bbq sauces are very good. Especially the spicy sauce. I noticed a ghost sauce, but the sauce I was given was identified as the spicy sauce. I'm not sure if they're the same. The sausages were good as well. I've had a lot of variations of banana pudding at different bbq restaurants. This was good but not great. Now, not for the so great: The brisket was dry and lacked flavor. The smoke ring is beautiful on it. I just found it to be ok. The baked beans and Mac and cheese were basic. I plan to come back for breakfast as well as bring my family for dinner as there are many options and I would like to try them all.

I was excited to try this spot in the Redlands public market since I was in the area with some friends. Opted for the two meat combo with a side. The service was good and the food came out really quickly. Unfortunately a food left a lot to be desired. The best part was the ribs which was seasoned well and very flavorful. The brisket was pretty mediocre and dry though, and the mashed potatoes were okay. The price was not bad for BBQ as it was about $22 but I wish the food was more fresh. You could kind of tell that it was made earlier in the day and just cut up to serve and by the time it got to us it was not hot or fresh. Overall an okay experience, I probably wouldn't try this location again and would opt for the restaurant.

Rib trio

I've always heard about Cornerstone Bbq ever since I've moved to the IE so we were excited to try this place out. This is located in the packing district in Redlands - great area. We decided to order the rib trio and added one side - baked beans. Overall, it was okay. The ribs weren't that tender but the flavor of them were okay. The sweet one was my favorite though, almost like a maple glaze. However, they were kind of dry and they tasted as if they were left out for a bit. It was basically room temp. I do like the sauces they had so definitely dip your bbq in them! The service was good. The people behind the counter were nice. The vibes in the dining area was pretty cool as well. I really wish Riverside had something like this haha

I've eaten here for dinner once and just tried the breakfast today. It's really solid bbq in a casual environment. The sauces are delicious! The portions for dinner are big so I shared with my husband and there was more than enough for both of us splitting a platter. They open at 7am for breakfast as well and I prefer the breakfast over the dinner. The breakfast burrito with the smoked sausage and salsa on it is truly perfection. The burritos do need a sauce or they will be dry. We also tried the fried chicken and waffle, and we will never order that again because the chicken was quite dry and the waffle tasted off and syrup was thick and hard to pour. The other breakfast options sounded good and I will try more! Inside seating can accommodate large or small groups with two hour parking available outside. The staff are friendly!

Brisket, Brisket Baked Beans, Coleslaw
Michael G.

First thing walking in I was greeted by the friendly staff. I ordered the 1 meat and 2 sides plate and go brisket with brisket baked beans and coleslaw. The food came out pretty quickly. The presentation of the food was very appealing. The brisket was nice and tender and the BBQ sauce was really good. There were 2 different BBQ sauces and they were both good. The coleslaw was good and had a little kick. The brisket baked beans were a highlight. I would definitely get those. My only complaint is that the portion of brisket was a little small. I would order 2 portions of meat. Overall it's great BBQ and a cool vibe, with a huge TV playing sports.

This review is for the location inside Redlands Public Market. @cornerstonebbq_redlands brought the meats. I had the Holy Trinity with pork ribs, brisket, and 2 jalepeno cheddar sausages. Sides were a corn salad and mashed potatoes. All the meats were great. Cheddar dogs had a nice snap when you bit into them. Brisket had a glorious rub on it and a definite smokey flavor. Pork ribs were surprised meaty. I especially enjoyed the variety of sauces they offer, but let it be known that the meat stood on its own. Cornerstone was definitely on their game today.

Catherine G.

Really wanted to love the bbq here. It smelled SO GOOD. But everything was very underwhelming with the exception of the jalapeno cheddar sausage. We ordered the three meat plate plus two sides to share. As you can see in the photos, the brisket was so dry, I was so sad. The pork ribs were also pretty bland and dry. Mac and cheese was decent but super oily. The mashed potatoes, did not taste like mashed potatoes. Not sure what was going on there. I will say I did like the bbq sauces they had though.

We decided on weekend brunch, especially since there were endless mimosas. Our kids have a recollection of being down the class umbrella alleyway, so they were amazed when they saw it. A short while later, we were in front of the restaurant and were quickly seated by the staff. They didn't ask if we preferred outdoor or indoor seating, but we were seated inside right next to the kitchen. We heard that indoor seating was better for service anyway. The interior of the restaurant was "very fancy," and my daughter thought we were in a date spot. We knew we wanted French fries and opted for the garlic Parmesan fries. At first, the kids were weirded out by the arugula, but my daughter ended up enjoying it, noting the bitter and salty notes. My son devoured the entire plate (not the arugula) and asked for another round. We also ordered the lemon ricotta French toast, made from Brioche bread, lemon blackberry butter, whipped lemon ricotta cream, blackberries, mint, and maple syrup. They perfected the crispy exterior, which contrasted well with the fluffy bread. My wife ordered the breakfast pizza--a focaccia pizza topped with marinara, ham, spinach, fresh tomato, red onion, a sunny-side-up egg, and herb-infused maple syrup. This was really delicious with the tart, fresh tomatoes, the salty ham, and the sweet maple syrup. I ended up eating the sunny-side egg by itself, so we didn't get to try the pizza with the egg. Lastly, I ordered the steak and eggs, but it was sadly a small portion. I ordered it medium rare, and it came out medium. The seasoning was a bit strange and would have been better with simple salt, pepper, and garlic. The mimomas really made my wife happy. She started feeling it pretty quickly. She chose the pineapple juice while I got the traditional orange. Not sure if the alcohol made the food better or the other way around. I was brought to reality when I saw the expensive bill, though.

The quality of food was fresh, prepared just right, and the service was fast and welcoming. It's in the nice down town Redlands area so never too busy or loud, in the small city. Definitely a fun spot for a fancy cocktail--or, in my case, a mocktail. I ordered the Hibiscus Cooler and LOVED it. The food was more of a mixed bag. I ordered the Poblano Burger, and the deep-fried poblano was SO good. Unfortunately, I ordered the patty medium and it came out overcooked. The fries were also a little undercooked, and the burger could have used more sauce. Tasty overall, just not quite hitting the mark. Then came dessert... and this is where the experience really went downhill. I ordered the crème brûlée because I've had it elsewhere and had been craving it. While waiting, I stepped away to use the restroom. When I came back, my entire table--including my drinks--had been cleared. I had literally just ordered dessert and never indicated I was finished. The server seemed confused when I questioned it, which made the whole thing even more awkward. And unfortunately, the crème brûlée itself was also a miss. The sugar topping was torched too long and had a noticeably bitter, burnt flavor. The server (and possibly a manager) apologized, and I was given $2 off the drink, which I appreciated. Between the okay food and the especially strange service and lack of communication the experience left me disappointed. The atmosphere is definitely the highlight, but for me, the service experience was enough to say I probably won't be back anytime soon.

Especially, when kids kept running up and down the stairs. They would also get in the way of the servers bringing food from the kitchen. Just seemed like an accident waiting to happen. What about the food?: Variety of options for either breakfast or lunch. I went with the crab cakes eggs benedict. Yes, my go-to. And my partner had the country benedict. You definitely get a lot for what you pay for. We both would have liked more sauce. Personally, I like my hollandiase with more tang. Ultimately, it was a satisfying meal but not necessarily something I craved to get again. But if i were to go back, I'd go with an omelet and something from the griddle. The service was attentive. We were given our drink orders right away and checked on multiple times. There was a busboy who was really attentive to fulfilling drink orders and cleaning tables once they became vacant. Amazing work ethic! Note: when you pay, you go up to the stand at the entrance to do so. Small parking lot shared with other shops, but there is some street parking. Although, we didnt go on a weekend so I imagine it's tough to find a spot during peak hours. Edited to add photos
