First time trying this place out: Brisket was tender and flavorful, would definitely get again! No sauce needed. Tri Tip was good, but dry in comparison and not as tender. I thought it went well dipping in the 2 BBQ sauces (hot and regular), but I love sauces. The beans were good, light flavor. The Mac and cheese sauce was broken and oily. The pasta was over cooked. The most disappointing out of the 4 items. I had the Brisket Sandwich a side of Slaw and fries and it was some of the best In have tatsed. the meat did not last in your mouth and teeth were not needed it literally melted and had the right amount of crust to give it the bit of char needed to really make one drool. the Sauce was a balance of Sweet and tangy the sweet would hit you first and then the tangy would bite your tongue which was in a word Perfect. The slaw was well Slaw it adds a crunch and had just enough flavor to add something to the meal without being the star. But the Fries OMG i'm not sure if they were battered but the were crispy and had a fantastic texture super good. needless to say I will be back at Cornerstone to try the rest of the menu. Let me start off by saying I'm an avid smoker and grill master. I ordered the meat combo. Ribs and brisket is what I chose . The ribs were hit and miss. Half the order was dry and chewy the other fell off the bone. I think they gave me a rib end which is no bueno. The brisket to me lacked seasoning and was too small of portion. It had zero smoke flavor as well as if it was cooked on a traeger. The price was decent tho, as bbq can tend to be expensive. The 2 meat combos are 22 bucks. The staff is not very friendly, I could not find a smile to save my life. Overall I give it a 6 out of ten. Not horrible but highly likely I won't return. This review is for the Redlands Public Market location. I'm very disappointed with my experience here. I hate leaving bad reviews, but this one was unacceptable. I placed a to-go order for a simple meal--two entrées and one side--and ended up waiting over 30 minutes at least. I ordered food from another place nearby and received my food in a timely manner and got mochi ice cream nearby once some time had passed so it wouldn't melt. The entire time I'm nearby the pick-up station, I noticed an open bag of food sitting on the counter across from the grill, which looked like someone was prepping it, but assumed my order wasn't ready yet. I watched other customers pick up their orders and saw staff cleaning, but no text came, and no one checked on me as I stood by the pick-up counter. Eventually, I asked about my order, and the gentleman helping me seemed surprised. He walked over to the same bag I'd been staring at the whole time and handed it to me. My food had apparently been ready the entire time, just sitting there as workers passed it over and over. I've been here before, and the pork belly and brisket are amazing. I ate here while visiting the Redlands Public market this past Friday night and ordered a two meat plate with brisket and pulled pork. I had mac & cheese for my side. I paid $23 with tax for my meal and it was a bit overprice, there were 5 thin slices of brisket and some pork. The sauces were good, but I definetely feel like I could have gotten more value for my money at any of the other restaurants there. The problem is I have some dietary restrictions and couldn't eat at many of the other restaurants. Definetely, not returning here. I live in Moreno Valley and would make the drive to their Beaumont location often so I was so happy to hear a Redlands location was opening because that meant I could go there for lunch breaks. I stopped in today 11/3 and was bummed to find they only have breakfast options in the morning and the menu changes at 10:30. I was trying to beat traffic and lunch rush and come early . I ended up getting 2 pork belly burritos for my worker and I. It was good as I expected. My only complaint is that the bell pepper was still kind of raw. It's just a weird textural thing when everything else is soft (the eggs and meat) and then random crunch of the peppers. The portion was really generous and I feel the price is comparable to other breakfast burritos. I will say this location is extremely different than Beaumont. It's large with lots of seating. But the Food It saddens me to say I left dissatisfied because I got the large brisket fries and I wasn't crazy about the cheese sauce or the brisket the issue was the amount of fat that came with the brisket and yes I know brisket can be fatty but the fries had a lot of chunks of fat over the actual brisket meat they skimped on the actual brisket meat and loaded it up with fat( see pic for details) and the fries were left soggy from the cheese sauce that didn't have flavor or good texture. I wasn't too crazy about the bbq sauce collection the Kansas was good but the other flavors didn't taste that good which left me a bit disappointed especially for a bbq joint . My wonderful husband brought me home their hamburger that you can add more meat too which had a hamburger pattie, cheese, sautéed onions, brisket and tri tip and it was soooooo good I couldn't put it down and I unfortunately didn't take a picture but I would definitely suggest that and this establishment. Both the Brisket and Pulled Pork meats were delicious. They had great flavor and I'd also say that the fries were just as tasty. If I had to complain about one thing, it would have to be that it had a little too much of the cheese for my liking. But my husband would not change one thing. He absolutely loved everything about it. I hope to return soon and try other things. We both ordered a large and it literally was A LOT. I was only able to eat 1/2. So I brought it home and my son ate the other half so technically two people can eat a large and get full. The only reason I am giving four out of five stars is because this was our first visit. First Amigo was this sad, cold ,thin 1 sliced of brisket! Second one was their chicken which has a fair enough of meat and with flavor! Third one was their pulled pork again fair enough of meat. But, again very bland no salt or flavor. For a BBQ place the meat should stand alone! But, I am glad we did have the sauces to bring a little flavor to our mini bao plate.
