Just had the two meat special; brisket + pork ribs. I also ordered the side of beans. I have to say, the brisket was pretty tough and cold but was tasty though. Ribs were seasoned nicely but somewhat juicy but also a little dry. I was not too impressed. Maybe I had the ribs and brisket that might've been cooked early in the morning. I've have so much here and I don't know where to start. It's all so good. I'll start with the unexpected...breakfast burritos. This is hands down the best egg burrito period! Whether it's just egg or egg and meat, they're huge. I will get the egg and beef or egg and pulled pork. Eggs are cooked perfectly, not browned. And the meat...it's their quality smoked meats. They give me two each of their sauces and include a chile Verde sauce too. Tasty but not spicy. But the burritos doesn't need the sauce it's so good. Friendly service and nice atmosphere but the food was just ok. I've had better and I've had worse. The meats were dry, chicken was over seasoned. Their version of baked beans was with made with kidney beans and it just wasn't my preference. The corn salad would of been good if it wasn't overpowered with the crumbled bacon bits mixed in. The Mac and Cheese was ok, nothing special. The pickled onions were good with the smoked sausage. As for the different types of dipping success the only one that was good was the Kansas City which is like a sweet and tangy bbq sauce. They do give you alot of food/portion size is large. read more

I came in at 10 a.m. already in a bad mood that i couldn't arrive as early as planned. But WOW, I cheered up fast! FYI: I came for BBQ, not breakfast. Service: Super nice and attentive as always. Food: Had the Holy Trinity. I wasn't sure if it would be enough, but it was a perfect amount for two adults and our lil rugrat. Ribs: tender, juicy, seasoned well. I disagree with the common misconception that meat should easily fall off the bone. I prefer tender meat with texture that gives a satisfying bite, and that's exactly what i got. So good. Brisket: Prime fat cap & fat-to-meat ratio, on point! Delicious marbling. So good with their tangy sauce. Beans: lovely fresh red and black bean mix with sweet onions & peppers. Mac & cheese: delicious little punch of spice. freshly made. Also a good cheese/pasta ratio. Sausage: Juicy, crisp pop bite, seasoned sensibly. Also a nice spice. Delicious. We were so excited to find a nearby BBQ spot but was quickly disappointed. The meat was super tender and not dry but lacked taste. Thank goodness they have sauces on the side to help. What majorly need help are the sides. Everything lacked taste except the fries it was just strange. We had a burger (burger was ok nothing special) and brisket with fries (fries are actually really good) coleslaw (not sweet just mayo and no flavor tastes like wet cardboard) Mac and cheese (dry also no flavor wet cardboard) Potato salad (first few bites not bad then no flavor the rest of the bowl you guessed it wet cardboard). We really wanted this to be at least decent. 1. We should have known when it seemed so empty when we got there. 2. They kept asking us if everything is ok all the time we appreciated the attentiveness of the staff but looking back maybe its because the get so many complaints. I think we may give it one more shot but probably not. We didn't see not one other person finish the meal in our group and pretty much everyone agreed it might be ok to order the meat alone for a night you dont want to cook but thats about it. Other than that the staff was attentive, all areas including restrooms were clean and orderly. Stopped here for lunch with a couple of co-workers. I've been to Redlands countless times and didn't know this place was here. It's inside a huge building that has a variety of different food places. We walked around and decided on this place. I wasn't super hungry so I got the kids meal, which was a smaller cheeseburger with a slice of brisket and it comes with a side of Mac and cheese or you can get fries. I wish you could substitute the baked beans or coleslaw but unfortunately that wasn't an option. The burger was really good and the brisket was super tender. The Mac and cheese wasn't my favorite but honestly i am not a huge fan of Mac and cheese to start with. They have a variety of bbq sauces, which really complemented the burger. Excited to come here because i tried their moist brisket from a friend's party a few weeks ago and it was spot on. The restaurant in Redlands is pretty nice, big and with fast service. Ordered a lb of brisket but unfortunately they given me all lean part of the brisket which is a bit underwhelming than the first time tried it. Their sides where amazing though. Maybe its the timing but i will still give them a try and making sure ill order the moist part. read more

I was starving due to a 14+ Mike obstacle course race and all of the meats looked appealing. I settled on a 2-meat plate with tender brisket and jalapeño sausage, both well-flavored. It came with a choice of sides so I chose the fries, which were perfectly cooked, textured and seasoned. I cleared my plate, including the pickle/onion garnish that came with the meal and left stuffed. It was mid-afternoon and my dining companion was in the mood for breakfast, two large plates that had eggs, bacon, hash browns and waffles. She had left overs to take home. Can't recommend this place. Ordered the brisket and ribs with a side of coleslaw. Let's start with the brisket, actually not too bad but lacking anything resembling a smoke flavor, not tough though and fat was rendered properly. Next, coleslaw, standard but just fine, it's coleslaw. Now the ribs, I opted for the Pastor seasoned ones. I asked the cashier if they were Al Pastor but she didn't seem certain. These ribs were beyond bad. They weren't properly cooked, collagen and fat were not properly rendered but they somehow managed to be dry and overcooked (cooked at too high temp?). In addition they lacked any flavor, they had some color but tasted nothing like Al Pastor. Pretty disappointing. First time trying this place out: Brisket was tender and flavorful, would definitely get again! No sauce needed. Tri Tip was good, but dry in comparison and not as tender. I thought it went well dipping in the 2 BBQ sauces (hot and regular), but I love sauces. The beans were good, light flavor. The Mac and cheese sauce was broken and oily. The pasta was over cooked. The most disappointing out of the 4 items. Overall will have again and hope that the brisket is always like that, it was delish! 2 Tips: Make sure you check your order when picking up, got names mixed up so almost left with different food. I live in Moreno Valley and would make the drive to their Beaumont location often so I was so happy to hear a Redlands location was opening because that meant I could go there for lunch breaks. I stopped in today 11/3 and was bummed to find they only have breakfast options in the morning and the menu changes at 10:30. I was trying to beat traffic and lunch rush and come early . I ended up getting 2 pork belly burritos for my worker and I. It was good as I expected. My only complaint is that the bell pepper was still kind of raw. It's just a weird textural thing when everything else is soft (the eggs and meat) and then random crunch of the peppers. The portion was really generous and I feel the price is comparable to other breakfast burritos. I will say this location is extremely different than Beaumont. It's large with lots of seating. BBQ is hit or miss and some will tell you it's because of the taste and texture of the meat and others will tell you it is all about the Rub or Sauce that enhances the flavor in the case of cornerstone it's both. I had the Brisket Sandwich a side of Slaw and fries and it was some of the best In have tatsed. the meat did not last in your mouth and teeth were not needed it literally melted and had the right amount of crust to give it the bit of char needed to really make one drool. the Sauce was a balance of Sweet and tangy the sweet would hit you first and then the tangy would bite your tongue which was in a word Perfect. The slaw was well Slaw it adds a crunch and had just enough flavor to add something to the meal without being the star. But the Fries OMG i'm not sure if they were battered but the were crispy and had a fantastic texture super good. needless to say I will be back at Cornerstone to try the rest of the menu. Let me start off by saying I'm an avid smoker and grill master. I ordered the meat combo. Ribs and brisket is what I chose . The ribs were hit and miss. Half the order was dry and chewy the other fell off the bone. I think they gave me a rib end which is no bueno. The brisket to me lacked seasoning and was too small of portion. It had zero smoke flavor as well as if it was cooked on a traeger. The price was decent tho, as bbq can tend to be expensive. The 2 meat combos are 22 bucks. The staff is not very friendly, I could not find a smile to save my life. Overall I give it a 6 out of ten. Not horrible but highly likely I won't return. This review is for the Redlands Public Market location. I'm very disappointed with my experience here. I hate leaving bad reviews, but this one was unacceptable. I placed a to-go order for a simple meal--two entrées and one side--and ended up waiting over 30 minutes at least. I ordered food from another place nearby and received my food in a timely manner and got mochi ice cream nearby once some time had passed so it wouldn't melt. The entire time I'm nearby the pick-up station, I noticed an open bag of food sitting on the counter across from the grill, which looked like someone was prepping it, but assumed my order wasn't ready yet. I watched other customers pick up their orders and saw staff cleaning, but no text came, and no one checked on me as I stood by the pick-up counter. Eventually, I asked about my order, and the gentleman helping me seemed surprised. He walked over to the same bag I'd been staring at the whole time and handed it to me. My food had apparently been ready the entire time, just sitting there as workers passed it over and over. I've been here before, and the pork belly and brisket are amazing. I ate here while visiting the Redlands Public market this past Friday night and ordered a two meat plate with brisket and pulled pork. I had mac & cheese for my side. I paid $23 with tax for my meal and it was a bit overprice, there were 5 thin slices of brisket and some pork. The sauces were good, but I definetely feel like I could have gotten more value for my money at any of the other restaurants there. The problem is I have some dietary restrictions and couldn't eat at many of the other restaurants. Definetely, not returning here.
