Ordered Breakfast Burritos from Cornerstone.. WOW!!! I am not going to lie, I was impressed with the burritos.. I called in an order for two breakfast burritos.. The lady that answered the phone was really nice and helping place the order for pick up. I ordered a pork butt breakfast burrito and a jalapeno sausage breakfast burrito.. When I arrived the staff were super friendly and welcoming.. You can smell the barbecue as soon as you walk in.. After paying and receiving the bag with the two burritos (Was Somewhat Heavy) I was thanked by the staff and invited to come back.. Now on to the food.. I had shared the burritos with my wife and let me tell you, they did not disappoint.. I did like the pork butt burrito better but both were Really Good! That sauce they give you (I got mine on the side as I have never had it before) was AWESOME.. Totally sent the burritos over the top.. Should bottle that sauce and sell it.. My visit to Cornerstone BBQ was a mixed experience. There were definitely some highlights, but there were also several issues that kept the meal from living up to the price. Having lived in Texas for many many years and eating barbecue all over the state from popular Michelin star places to Mom and Pop hole in the wall places to food trucks I know what the good barbecue taste like. We decided on a large platter because this was our first time to the restaurant and we wanted to get it taste of everything. We opted for brisket, ribs, chicken and swapped out the pulled pork for jalapeno sausage. This included 4 side dishes and honestly I know they're just sides but it definitely wasn't enough for four adults to enjoy. The large platter says it easily feeds six to eight people but the sides definitely only feed three. The brisket was good compared to California standards. It was moist, flavorful, and cooked just right but lacked a great smoky taste. The loaded fries were another standout. They were absolutely delicious, and the rich cheese sauce paired with the added jalapeños made them even better. Those were easily my favorite items on the menu. Unfortunately, the ribs were inconsistent. Some bites were tender, while others were extremely tough and difficult to eat. The food overall was also much greasier than expected, which took away from the enjoyment of the meal. The service left a lot to be desired. We had to keep asking for basic items throughout our visit, and our drinks didn't arrive until we had asked twice. Having to repeatedly remind the staff for things that should have come automatically made the experience frustrating. The seating arrangement was another disappointment. Our party of four was squeezed around a tiny table, even though there were larger tables available. To make matters worse, a group of six was seated at a three-top table directly behind us, blocking the aisle. People were constantly trying to squeeze between the tables, making the dining area feel cramped and uncomfortable. Considering the price, I expected much better. The portions didn't justify the cost, especially when combined with the inconsistent food quality and service issues. While the brisket and loaded fries were excellent, the tough ribs, greasy food, cramped seating, repeated service problems, and high prices made this a disappointing overall experience. I hope Cornerstone BBQ improves these areas because the restaurant has the potential to be much better. read more

They relocated from the smaller location they before. Now its a restaurant with seating inside and out. We had the fur babies so we sat outside. The brussels sprouts and cabbage mix, really good and nice flavor. Ranch and balsimic dressing mix. Wings had a nice flavor but on the dry side. The meat brisket and pork belly tacos meat had a nice smoke to it and was good in the tacos We order a 1 lb of their crispy pork belly and those are great alone and with the sauces that they have. I had an omelet with pork belly, really good but don't get hashbrown a little overcooked and bread was stale. Service was great, even though our order was wrong, the waitress was able to get it fixed and solved the problem. I hate leaving negative reviews, but I feel it's important to share my experience. I ate at the Beaumont location and unfortunately got food poisoning afterward. On a separate occasion, my mother-in-law ate at the Yucaipa location and also experienced food poisoning. The pork belly burritos are absolutely delicious, which makes this even more disappointing. However, after our experiences, I don't feel comfortable returning. I hope the restaurant takes food safety seriously and addresses any issues. Also the service wasn't the best at the Beaumont locations.. been to both by the way but I got food poisoning from the recently opened location in Beaumont and both places service was not the best!! I cannot speak to the Redlands of Yucaipa locations but Beaumont will be my forever home. And, I waited four years for this location to reopen and they totally exceeded my expectations. I have nothing but 5,000,000 stars to rate every possible question I could answer for this review. The food is off the chain and the flavors and textures are phenomenal. We had brisket that melted in your mouth, sausages with pleasant jalapeño heat, scrumptious creamy potato salad with chunks of bacon and dill, hard boiled eggs and mayo, corn salad and my favorite side dish: dill pickles and red onions pickled in apple cider vinegar. Run. Don't walk to this place. It will restore your faith in humanity. UPDATE: For Mothers Day I ordered all three of the same sides for our family party. I mistakenly ordered from their catering staff which was unnecessary and more costly. Hubby went to the Beaumont location and was told the catering building was at a different site. Staff were extraordinary and prepared an order for us right there and threw in many extras taking our experience and gratitude to a whole other level. Our heartfelt thanks to Diane who hooked us up. My partners loved how that Chilaquiles had a kick and thought it was great it had brisket on the side. I thought the French toast were extremely underwhelming. The canned fruit on top in syrup made it overly sweet an artificial. Fresh fruit would have made the dish so much better. Of course, breakfast burrito and meat fries are the go to. I'm not a huge meat eater but I got drawn by the delicious smokey aroma coming from Cornerstone. I decided to get their kids meal, which consisted of a brisket slider and mac and cheese. It ended up being the perfect portion for me. The slider had a juicy hamburger patty with tender pieces of brisket and grilled onions. There was also a stack of pickles on the side. Tri tip burrito had an extra charge for some reason but it was good. 8/10. Bbq sauces were very watery and all the caps were sticky and dirty. Also, we sat on the patio and there was a ton of flies. It's always a pleasant experience here. Knowing this place now versus when they started and how it started is a good lesson for a small business owner on how to operate a restaurant. They're consistent with their good food and with their customer service. It's funny seeing influencer videos and their reviews because they offer little insight other than their sound effects and faces from the goodness. This is a real deal review from a person who's been coming in since day one. I've had all the barbecue they have to offer. It's all incredibly good, but I often come in for their steaks now. It's a good little small chain barbecue place. We went with a large family platter I would suggest go with the pulled pork and chicken those two were my favorite. As for the sides the corn was good as was the beans. Curious about trying the mac and cheese as that's kind of a telltale sign of a good barbecue restaurant in addition to the flavors on the proteins as well. The chicken had a good barbecue to it and a sweetness and don't forget to use the sauces on the table. Place is a little small so keep that in mind if you plan to go during busy times or on weekends although there is outside seating and plenty of parking lot parking. Staff was nice enough and accommodating and you could even look into the kitchen from the dining area. Came here for a nice dinner with my parents and it was DELICIOUS!!!! All the meats were incredibly tender and smoky. My favorite was the brisket! The sides were also perfect. I loved the Mac and cheese, and the baked beans were so good. My parents had no complaints about their food. They said that they loved this place and would love to go again. Only thing I have to say is that I wish they paid attention to the orders a little more because they forgot some of the sides and we had to remind them. The food was solid across the board, and the service was just as good--attentive and friendly. My only real complaints are the pricing and payment terms: the menu runs a bit on the expensive side, and they add roughly a ~3% surcharge for credit card payments, I would have liked to be informed of the fee prior to ordering. On the way to AZ we found this BBQ spot. We love finding little local places instead of rest stop fast food all the time. Got a pulled pork sandwich and a smash burger. I was surprised by how delicious the smash burger was. The coleslaw on the sandwich was also amazing. The staff there let us try the different types of meat, all of them very tasty. There were some pros and some cons for this establishment. First off the parking is limited and a tight squeeze, this was our first visit and we couldn't even be welcomed by one employee even though many walked past us, made eye contact and walked away. So we stood waiting by the door for probably a good 5 minutes before I flagged someone down. I do not like doing this as it makes it seem you don't want my business. There was one employee in particular that came to the front check in, looked at us, grabbed napkins and turned around and walked off without a word. When she came back the second time, I inquired where we could do a takeout order and she vaguely points to the back wall and was like "over there" ... maybe put some signs up as we aren't familiar with your restaurant/set up. Saving grace was Jackie who was super sweet and helpful when she took our order, as well as the girl that brought us out our food. My husband enjoyed his loaded fries with burnt ends, I loved the brisket, it was so juicy and tender. The pork belly was just ok, a lot of fat and a little flavor. The Mac and cheese had some kind of seasoning in it that gave it a little kick which I enjoyed, but it was a little clumpy and not so smooth. The coleslaw was flavorless and I don't recommend the banana pudding which came in a little snack sized plastic cup with like a scoop of pudding for $7+ was not worth it. INCREDIBLE! We were driving through from LA back to Arizona and decided to stop by for dinner and it was perfect! You can tell you're gonna get a great meal right when you walk in because it smelled amazing! Lots of meat options, and I opted for the taco trio which has chicken pork and brisket and it was SOOO yummy! They gave us a few bbq sauces to add as well and all of them tasted fantastic. I'm back with a review (after my 1st review being 2 years ago) To see this once a single location that'd open for the day only to sell out within hours to now having 4 ( i believe) locations is pretty outstanding! Love to watch my fellow neighbors/community blossom & grow! Visiting their recent newest location which is a very blocks down from the now closed 1st location. Loving the atmosphere. They took which was an older closed down Mexican food restaurant dark and gloomy to a western feeling vibe. Plenty of seating , even outside dining. We were immediately greated, seated and got food within 15 minutes of waiting. We shared a trinity platter, we had brisket & chicken, baked brisket beans, beef tallow fries , rolls, and chicken. To complete our meal we had a banana pudding desert. Brisket was tender and flavorful Chicken was good, not dry Beans were bursting with flavor a hint of spiciness Fries were the perfect crunch (& love that there made with tallow) Rolls ehh just your Hawaiian roll - next time we'll try the cornbread. They garnished the platter with some picked onions and pickles. Lastly we shared the banana pudding. I do think this NEEDS fresh sliced bananas especially for the selling price, it they added that it would be AMAZING. Sauces; Ghost was flavorful-the husbands fave a lil too much heat for me but not over powering Doms sweet tooth is awesome on the sweeter side but my fave Kansas City bbq sauce- is def one of a kind. Our party of 6 raved about the food. Good thing we contacted the establishment that we were arriving at noon, as there were customers waiting to be seated. On the phone we were told no reservation needed, that was confussing because when we arrived we were asked if we had reservation. The empoyee/manager near by said "we have your table ready". We had the Family feast which included ribs, chicken, brisket, pulled pork and tri-tip. First time I tasted tender chicken pieces. For the sides we choose creamy potato salad, baked beans, cole slaw and corn salad. While the cole slaw was dry, the corn salad and potato salad was very tasty. The meal also included 5 rolls. This is a small location in the older area of Beaumont. Staff was relatively friendly here. There's no indoor seating but there's a couple small tables out front and a patio area with seating in the back. Prices were a little high, I spent almost 40.00 on a 2 meat plate with an extra side (5.99 for small side). We got the meat plate with tritip and brisket and for our side it came with we ordered Mac n cheese. The meat was good, incredibly tender but lacking in overall flavor til you dip it in bbq sauce. The sides weee incredibly disappointing- the Mac had ZERO flavor to it and was so greasy and the baked brisket beans I saw and tasted no brisket. We went here but arrived right before closing. We put our order in and we got it right when they closed. They did mess up a bit on our order, but we were extremely happy of how the food tasted. We can't imagine if we got our order correct the place is just a small little place off the freeway, but with big taste the service here was pretty good. They were right on it, but as I said before, it was getting to closing time. The back patio area was kind of cool tucked away behind the front of the shop and you have to go around back, but it is nice to sit there and enjoy your dinner.
