The fact that we came back twice in one weekend says it all! The Cajun Creole food is absolutely amazing and so full of flavor, generous portions, and tastes like home! Both times we left with leftovers because there was so much food, and it tasted just as good the next day. The staff were incredibly attentive which is huge to me! They were friendly, and made sure everything was perfect throughout our visit. Great family-owned Creole restaurant in Murrieta. Their chicken is delicious with a light, crispy coating. Mac and cheese is just like homemade. And the yams are like candy and our fave side dish. We've been coming here for years and the cornbread tastes different. Not complaining because it tastes better! So, if I could give a half staring would. I've been waiting for them to re open. I ordered the same thing I always order. The shrimp dinner with fried okra and Parmesan garlic fries. The okra what little was in the container was over cooked and just gross. I have no idea what they put in my container with the okra but it wasn't okra. Oh man... I found out there's new management/owners and I'm so disappointed. The interior and menu is pretty much the same but the food isn't made with love or care anymore. The portions changed and the taste really isn't worth coming back. I tried the "famous" 3 pcs chicken for the first time and they give me 2 dry wing tips and 1 dry wing. How is this "meal" supposed to fill anyone up? I imagine they had the audacity because I'm a smaller figure but I would be ashamed to serve this to someone who is taller/larger. 70% of the chicken was bones and you expect anyone except a 8 year old to be full? This is basically a kids meal for an adult price. Every other fried chicken pic in the past has a big thigh but of course new management wants to cut corners. The debris fries were slightly better. The gravy is just salty soup which was meh. So sad because this place used to be my favorite for soul food. I miss the previous owners. The previous chef once came out to greet everyone in the restaurant and even hooked us up with sweet yam syrup for the beignets we ordered. I don't think this place has the soul for the soul food anymore. $100 dinner for 4 pcs of small dry chicken, salty fries, and audacity. They gave me a thigh after I mentioned the tiny portion but I'm still hungry... I'm 110 lbs. This 3 (actually 4) pcs dinner can't fill a 110 lbs woman. I can't imagine how many plates would be needed for an average man. Would not recommend or return. The greed is too much. I usually come here with family on vacation. There's plenty of parking outside and they have a good amount of seating. I tried their sampler platter of four lagniappe (appetizers) to try. Their beef sausage po'boy ($16) and beignets ($13) were great. The po'boy came with a side of sweet potato fries and it was seasoned heavily with cinnamon. Beignets were fluffy and soft. My mom likes their shrimp etoufee. It comes with white rice on the side but it was hard and undercooked. It has a good amount of heat to it. The lagniappe plate ($17) I chose were 4 small bowls of their gumbo, etoufee, jambalaya, and red beans and rice. Their hushpuppies and maque choux which is corn with bell peppers, celery, and onions were also good. Their fried chicken was good too, crispy skin and seasoned, juicy meat. We always enjoy ourselves when we come here. The food is amazing. My favorite are the sweet potatoes. Gumbo is delicious, that's the hubby's favorite. I also enjoy the Jambalya. Unfortunately, I don't have any pictures even though we recently ate here twice. The food is amazing! The fried catfish is so tasty. The mac & cheese is good. I personally don't care for the greens but everything else we've had here has been really good. My husband has had the shrimp and catfish and the Poboy sandwich. The service is outstanding! Such good people and very nice people. The ambience is welcoming and a casual place for good food and and spending time with loved ones. It is on the pricier side, but that's expected with the food. In town visiting family and was referred to Sharon's. Upon arrival at Sharon's, there were a group of people waiting outside for their orders. The place was busy. Upon entering, I could smell the delicious foods (thinking this is a winner). I was promptly and friendly greeted by the hostess. I ordered a number 5 box family meal to go. I was told it would be ready in about 20 minutes. I waited outside for about 10 minutes then decided to go sit inside and wait for my food. About a minute after sitting down, I received my order. Everyone was friendly. The restaurant is a nice place to eat in too. Great decor and patio seating too! I mentioned that it was my first time here and the reply was you will be back tomorrow. Once I received my food everything looked correct but the food itself was not good at all. The chicken tasted old like it was cooked a day or two prior and was reheated. There was no flavor and the chicken was dry. My cornbread was so hard and bland I could throw it at a wall. The sides of Mac n cheese & yams were just okay. I ordered a banana pudding that wasn't the greatest either. It tasted like whipped cream with bananas inside and needed more vanilla wafers. The only reason I gave it a single star is because the employees were nice when I walked in. Overall, my experience with this establishment was disappointing and I will not be returning. Found this restaurant through other reviews and had to try it! I love to cook Creole and Cajun foods and wanted to compare theirs to mine. Well, the Po' Man's Gumbo was spectacular and the fried okra was as good as I had when I lived in Eastern Texas! My wife had the shrimp plate with hush puppies and fried okra and she was blown away with the amount of food and the taste. Service was exceptional from Mia and the place a real homey feel to it. Soft music played in the back ground. We arrived at 2:30 and people started coming in for a late lunch. The menu was extensive as there was something for any Creole dish you could imagine.
