We don't live nearby and just stopped in while running errands after seeing the great reviews. Honestly didn't expect it to be this good. The space is cozy and lively, and the staff were genuinely friendly. They walked us through their popular dishes, gave us time to decide, and never felt pushy. They even surprised us with dessert on the house, which felt really thoughtful and rare these days. We ordered the crispy potatoes, avocado toast, and half a muffaletta. The avocado toast absolutely lives up to the hype. Seriously is THE best I've ever had. The bread was toasted to the perfect crunch, the avocado was at that ideal ripeness, and the jammy eggs were cooked perfectly (which I really like since I'm not a fan of poached eggs). The orange purée and dill added this bright, zesty sweetness that made the whole dish feel surprisingly elevated but also well-balanced. The half muffaletta was a generous portion and was thick, flavorful, and a little messy in the best way. My boyfriend loved it. The crispy potatoes were also done really well. Crispy on the outside, soft inside, and not greasy at all. The passion fruit pie was amazing too. Super intense passion fruit flavor, like multiple fruits packed into one slice. It's not overly sweet and leans a little tart (which I loved), and the crust was perfectly crumbly. I can see why almost every table had one. The French toast wasn't my personal favorite since I'm not big on cinnamon, but the lemon and basil combination was really interesting and I can see others loving it. The black currant iced tea was unsweetened, smooth, and really refreshing with no bitterness, probably cold brewed. Very refreshing. Easily a 10/5. This is the kind of place you hesitate to tell people about because you want to keep it to yourself but it's too good not to share. Worth mentioning pricing is really fair.

10/10 The best avocado toast I've ever had!!! The combination of flavors was amazing. It was savory. The eggs were creamy. The sauce was slightly tangy and the dill on top gave it a nice freshness. I'd come back just for this. The inside is very clean and the staff is friendly. They gave us a free dessert to try.

Finally visited this spot and loved it so much! It's a small space but has a few tables to dine-in. The vibe is minimalistic, chill and so cute. we were warmly greeted by one of the workers and he was super friendly! everything we got tasted freshly made and flavorful. I would highly recommend the fish toast, i was hesitant but it ended up being my favorite item. He even gave us a complimentary potato dish. would recommend checking out if you're in the area

This place meets a lot of what I'm looking for in a 5 star food establishment: delicious healthy food, friendly and fast service, and aesthetic/chill ambiance. I ordered the Roasted Cauliflower and it definitely surprised me. It has so much flavor. It was about $20 which is still a lot for a single order in my opinion but I think it's worth it. The bread it's served on tastes like garlic naan bread. Roasted Cauliflower: 5/5

We went back when we were in town and it's as good as last time! My partner and I shared the classic hoagie which is enough for 2 people. I also ordered the crispy potato and we loved it! It was so good!!!!! Both were flavorful and yummy.

Grain Bowl, Breakfast Sandwich, and a slice of Passion Fruit Pie

Our visit was absolutely soul nourishing in every way imaginable! Walking in the eatery, it's humbly artistic. From the moment we walked in, the warmth embraced my partner and I. We were greeted with great enthusiasm and calmness at the ordering counter. Upon looking over the menu, we noticed the simplicity and intentionality. I ordered the grain bowl. Partner ordered the breakfast sandwich. We shared the passion fruit pie.. and literally, with every bite tears began swell. Love in the craft of creating such an experience.. thank you, Happy Mediums for becoming a part of our community!

Cute little spot in Calimesa. With surprisingly healthy options. A small but intriguing menu. Cute, quaint and simple. Employees were nice, patient and knowledgeable. Decor is at a minimum. You can eat in but it's more of a pick up and go vibe.

OMG. This place was fantastic. The owner and staff were very accommodating to our large group. The food was great and they had gluten free bread and the sandwichs were 3-4 inches tall and packed with yummy stuff.

Amazing restaurant, service, and food. It is innovative, and unassuming. The food is what you would expect in San Francisco - delicious, fresh, and never boring. They do basic things very very well. For example, I had a breakfast sandwich this morning with their homemade sausage. There is an incredible aïoli on it, on perfectly toasted sesame focaccia bread. Come and support this business! I hope it stays forever.

The delicious Muffaletta Sandwich that was big enough for hubby and I to share!

Our daughter went to Happy Mediums and surprised hubby and I with this beautiful and delicious Muffaletta Sandwich! It tasted so fresh and made with love! And the bread is amazing! We would definitely eat there again!

Dearest Gentle Reader, Happy Medium delivered exceptional service...thoughtful, attentive, and delightfully ahead of every need. From playing a birthday song to a surprising us with a delicious passionfruit pie, every touch felt special. The sandwiches were hearty, the caesar salad perfectly chopped. I'd recommend in a heartbeat. Full belly, full heart

The only reason it caught my eye was because our tax preparer was just down the street. It was obviously well loved by the locals after reading their great reviews and seeing a full parking lot. And this was on a Wednesday. We only had time for a quick bite, ordering nothing out of the ordinary. A quickie breakfast of sausage, scrambled eggs, and pancake, were all we had, but everything was nicely done. The pancake was big, light and airy, served with a carafe of warm syrup and a huge scoop of butter. The scrambled eggs were moist and fluffy, the sausage was basically a Farmer John sausage patty that was properly warmed but not overcooked, and very good tasting. My only criticism was the coffee being too thin for my liking, but keeping our coffee mugs filled was something they definitely did well! The service was wonderful. They knew we were in a rush, and handled us with TLC the entire 35 minutes we had. What I do know is, I will be looking forward to our next tax appointment, hah, knowing our morning will start off right here. Next time...chicken fried steak, or maybe a bowl of hearty homemade soup, y'all!

The inside is very spacious and clean, which I appreciate, especially when you're bringing family. It's incredible and honestly worth the trip even if you're coming from out of town. This has become our go-to spot for special occasions with family, and it never disappoints.

You get in line and pay twice, once for drinks and again for pastries. It's great to support local, independent businesses and hopefully the arrangement is working out well for both of them. There are small tables with stools to sit on around the side of the counter on the way to the gender-neutral restroom at the back of the shop. The tables are a bit small but it leaves a wide aisle and clearly communicates that the building is accessible for folks who use wheelchairs. The hum of the oven fans creates white noise in the background and there is music playing but not distractingly loud. I find it easy to get work done here. I got the buffet and to my shock I found 3 flies in the beans after I'd sat down. Not small gnats but standard house flies. I brought it to Attention of the server and he of course apologized. Wife got a breakfast off the menu but by this time she'd eaten half of it and I sent mine back without a re-order as I was pretty much grossed out. Wife didn't want to finish her meal and was pretty much grossed out as well. While we sat there, I watched to see if the servers would pull the refried beans off the food line and replace it but sadly, nope. I figured since we are loyal/regular customers they would have at least offered to comp my wife's meal since she didn't eat it all but nope. You should treasure your customers. Even if they'd offer a comp meal I wouldn't have accepted it. The fact that they didn't tells me they need a lot of work on their customer satisfaction. Was fun while it lasted.
