Pastrami sandwich w/ Mayo, mustard, cheese, and pickles on the side
    Melina L.

FOOD Pastrami Sandwich on a roll - The pastrami is thinly sliced, but that doesn't mean they skimp out on you. The meat to cheese to bread ratio was spot on. The sandwich came with mustard, some kind of cheese(I forgot the name), and pickles. The pickles were crunchy and tangy. I'm not sure if the pickles are house made. I'll have to find out so I can bring a jar home. CUSTOMER SERVICE AND AMBIANCE My order was perfectly prepared and the employee was kind. I was in a rush so, I was in and out of there rather quickly. I didn't really get a chance to look around, but from the little I saw, the shop is kept clean. They have a large variety of German products, not just limited to the meats and cheeses.

Yum! We discovered this German delicacy from our German born friend! It will be forever to go when we want to reminisce our Best of Germany trip in 2025!! We loved George's sandwiches- the pastrami is fresh and the bread soft and delicious. The Ruben was finished as well, the rest of the group enjoyed their sausages plates. We bought more than we thought: chocolates, gingerbread cookies, salami and more to take home. What a treat! The employees are sweet and friendly with their smiles which makes customers want to return. A little piece of Germany!!

Potato salad and mushrooms. I think this was the pastrami or Reuben?

Cute German market with fun little german candies and other goodies. I have tried several of their sandwiches and they never disappoint! I love the German potato salad and my favorite of all is their marinated mushrooms! They have delicious desserts and breads too. I have tried the strudels, the princess cake and the chocolate dipped almond horns are so stinking good! If you like German food then you will love the meals,if you are not into German food, you can have yummy sodas and desserts. The staff is friendly and the environment is small ,but cozy and layed back.

    A feast!!

Finally able to return to this spot after years and I am happy to say that it is still a great place to shop and grab a bite. This time I was able to try their German potato salad and good gracious - I can't even believe how good it was!! This is the perfect pit stop for anyone traveling from LA to Idyllwild or the desert.

Great food variety, everything is fresh The service in the store is outstanding. Everybody is very friendly, outside and inside seating is lovely.

Amazing! First time visiting this German deli and it did not disappoint. Warmly welcomed as we took a look around admiring the items for sale. We approached the counter and the staff were so friendly and kind. Sausage hot plates come with pickles, sauerkraut and potato or macaroni salad along with your choice of sausage. Bratwurst was so juicy and the flavor just right, not overpowering, perfect boldness. The Weisworst was tender & juicy with herbal highlights. We also tried the combination sandwich. Which comes on rye or French roll, warmed. Meats we're proportionally sliced and the mix was perfection. Inside is a market, deli counter & German beers in the fridge section. It seems like a small space but it's packed full with so much to see. A few inside tables or outdoor covered patio seating. Live music entertainment on certain days. The service is excellent accentuating a pleasant visit at this local staple. A memorable experience this gem. Will definitely return for more.

Really cool German market. Employees are eager to help since most of the items sold are in German! The deli has lots to choose from and you can even order a sandwich and eat it inside or in the outside patio. Prices are reasonable. Parking is super easy with the lot right in front.

George's seems like a popular lunch spot for locals. I happened to be driving though and decided to try it. They have a small menu. It seems the popular order was a German platter but I went safe with a turkey sandwich and German potato salad. I wasn't sure what to expect but it was good. Fair warning, the potato salad is warm! I think it has bacon in it also. The turkey sandwich was good, but I wouldn't drive out of my way for it. Just a classic turkey sandwich. My friend got the pastrami sandwich which he also enjoyed. Aside from the deli, they have a variety of German snacks. The workers are friendly, they provided me with some recommendations. Some of the items are expensive but I imagine it's due to everything being imported.

Small and cozy German market and deli in Calimesa with some inside tables and an outdoor covered beer garden. Ordered the hot plate with an additional sausage, Polish and Spicy Hungarian. Plate also included German potato salad, kraut and 2 slices of bread with cheese, which was quickly served by a pleasant employee. Would have tried some of the beer but not while driving. Will be returning to try other deli options and possible shopping.

Georges Market offers a variety of German snacks, candy, and sausages! Their German potato salad served as the side is my favorite! We love coming here on Saturdays to enjoy the ambiance of the beer garden and music!

Omigoodness! Where to begin? I love George's Market and look forward to going again! Bf and I decided to go on Saturday, we had noticed it on drives to Tractor Supply. This is a charming gem of place in a small town. I'm from L.A. and bf is from Redlands and he was wondering why he never knew of it all this time growing up nearby. Even L.A. doesn't have a German deli, for all its "cultural diversity", so it was a real treat. We both had the sausage plates, I got the spicy Hungarian, which was so good, sweet and spicy, just how I like it. It comes with sauerkraut, two mustards, two slices of buttered rye bread, with two different slices of cheese (I think Muenster and Swiss), and the most amazing German potato salad. There's beer on tap, and every Saturday, there's live German karaoke music and dancing! Service is so warm and friendly, we even got to meet George! He's such a sweet guy. He greeted us inside the store where they have everything I remember from when I lived in Germany as a child (my dad was a military man stationed in Rammstein) and we lived in Kaiserslautern. I really can't wait to go again!

When I walked in I was taken back to the taverns in Wisconsin I went to with my parents, the ambiance made me nostalgic and happy. The girls working the counter were as sweet and polite as could be. The food was really good! I had a hot roast beef and Swiss and my husband had the Reuben and he's very picky about those, he really enjoyed it. The star of the show was the German potato salad!!! Omg I didn't get that and was super bummed I didn't but I ate most of my husbands, it was out of this world good! I have never had it before and I'm still thinking about it! Can't wait to go again and try the sausage plate and I'm getting a gallon of German potato salad!

When I tried speaking German, the lady said she didn't remember much of the language anymore. But it's easy to see how this can rub people the wrong way, especially if they're used to American (or even modern German) - style customer service. Everyone who found this rude is making reasonable statements. But to me this is more a case of people who have been doing the same thing for a long time without making updates. Decor-wise, place also seems to recreating the Germany that someone remembers from decades ago. The blue and white bunting, the beer steins, the picture of the Pope and other memorabilia make the place feel distinctly Bavarian, in a touristy way. A lot of places in Germany, even in the more traditional south have moved on. But my hope is that this place does continue until the proprietors retire with dignity or sell the business to some German-Americans with a passion for prepping and selling this type of food.
