The three of us ordered the: *Breakfast Sandwich- it's a handful of a sandwich with loads of delicious ham, crispy grilled bread, eggs & cheese. The Country fried potatoes are so flavorful! Get those! *Country Breakfast - everything is smothered in a tasty gravy. It was good but the biscuits could be fluffier. *Bacon&Egg breakfast- my hubby loved this breakfast. Abby's Café hits the spot. I had the Reuben -- crispy, buttery, and stacked just right. My son had the homemade corned beef hash, which was solid and clearly made in-house. My mom enjoyed the spinach omelette and said it was light and fresh. Tina, our server, was awesome -- super friendly and on it without being over the top. Good food, good service, chill vibe. What a hidden gem! Tucked into the corner of the parking lot, The food was awesome. Those country potatoes were amazing, Flavorful and very seasoned! We were in and out pretty quickly the food came out quick. Abby's is the greatest little secret in Yucaipa! Great old fashioned atmosphere! I dined here for lunch with a retired friend, and we had a pleasant experience. Chicken Noodle Soup was creamy, but the soup was too peppery and the noodles overcooked and mushy. But a Cobb Salad that contained Hard-boiled Egg, beautiful avocado slices, moist chicken, lettuce, tomato, bacon and Thousand Island Dressing was fresh and tasty. The atmosphere is so cozy and welcoming, which makes finding this spot feel like a real hidden gem. I can see perhaps an extra charge but when you are substituting this for your toast and still charged $6.99 it is just wrong. I have tried eggs Benedict and biscuits and gravy from a couple different diner spots in Yucaipa and usually they may have one or the other that is flavorful, but this place both are excellent! To find Abby's Café it's in the very back corner of its shopping center. But when we were here for breakfast there was ample parking. It has a very openly designed dining area. The waitress was attentive, but the food preparation was very slow. This is a simple and straight-forward dining experience. You can tell the regulars as they greeted each other, and heard the friendly laughter over breakfast and coffee. We had the Western Scramble; we held back the bell peppers. The scramble was bit dry and over-cooked. The ingredients were present but didn't have a whole lot of flavor. We asked for the hash browns to be crunchy and you see in my pic what we received - FYI. The wheat toast in the background was good. We also ordered the Eggs Benedict. In this case the eggs were a bit under-done with some runny whites when cut into. The hollandaise sauce was very bland - no hint of the requisite tang of the lemon juice nor the pinch of cayenne or white pepper. The ham was okay. The English muffin held up well. The hash browns were ordered and delivered the same as above - not too crunchy. Ending on a positive note, most days they open at 6:00 am for us early birds. read more

I always use Yelp to find the best restaurants......when I put in Yucaipa, Abby's showed up with almost 5 stars.....I'm not sure how long the restaurant has been here... but the help seemed new..... We were seated quickly, but they forgot to give us menu's.... (After a few minutes I retrieved a couple of menu's from the hostess check in area)....I noticed a couple of waitresses saw me pick up the menu's but none of them said anything‍ The hostess approached us and took our drink order..... I showed her the Yelp Check in coupon and she told me she needed to ask if she could accept it for the free drink.....(they did approve it) Jennifer introduced herself as our waitress ......She was pleasant & seemed eager to help.... She brought out a sausage patty instead of bacon my friend ordered, BUT she fixed it quickly... I ordered eggs Benedict.....and it was yummy .... They have a nice breakfast menu and it is served all day.... Working out the kinks with NEW help can be a challenge but they were all trying and the food was really good.... So we were up in the Yucaipa area and remembered hearing that Abby's opened a location in the city. We frequently dine in the San Jacinto location so we decided to see if the new location was just as good. Well we were not disappointed! Same great service and food. Nothing to critique or add except BRAVO!! This location is just as pleasant with great service and food as the original. We were happy and full. The location is a little hidden but not impossible to find with the GPS. It nestled back from the Main Street . Plenty of parking and the wait time was @15 mins on a Sunday. Hours are short but I believe they close at 2 or 3pm the day we were there so I assume that's basically the area. read more
