Sausage links, eggs, and well-done country potatoes

We came early on Easter Sunday to beat the crowd. We got seated fast but only one waitress was taking orders so it took a while for our order to be taken. Food was decent. My boyfriend got the chili verde and it was way too spicy for him and he said the pork was really dry. I got regular American breakfast and it wasn't bad. The place is cute with lots of old county decor, and there are some cute animals out front

I don't understand the low reviews!! Trying this place out. I have been here many years ago. Back then it was ok. We love the new decor. Large ice tea cups!!! So far great service!! AWESOME MUSIC!! Update. Tne food was amazing. My omelet was piping hot even after sitting on the table for 15 min while I eat the chille verde cup!! Definitely our new breakfast spot!! If you're in the area, definitely a great spot!!

I love this mom and pop restaurant!! Great country ambiance with delicious food and awesome service. Their parrots and koi n the front are beautiful to look at before entering the restaurant.

If you are interested in the type of flavor that packs heat that could burn your soul yet with so much flavor that hits all senses, than you wont want to miss experiencing The OAK HOUSE "Chili Verde Plate. It's by far the best chili I've ever had. I've brought many friends and family to this restaurant for the food that ranges from breakfast through lunch to dinner menu choices. Delicious American & Mexican classic recipes that would definitely satisfy all. I highly recommend this restaurant. I wish I would try more foods when I visit but im sold on either the Shrimp Ala Diablo in a spicy, spicy red sauce or the Chili Verde Plate in their spicy, spicy green sauce. Why mess with perfection? Stop by soon, very inviting, excellent customer service , and warm, welcoming, and country feel, serving extremely delicious food

Avocado, spinach, tomato, and cheese omelet. Tasty!

Delicious breakfast! Best pancakes I've ever had! Nice patriotic antique country atmosphere and decor. Fun seeing the chickens, goats, birds and noises fish out in front of property.

Service and food was great. Whenever we have a large group Silva makes room with minimal waiting. Chili Verde has the perfect heat.

Somehow, I got lucky and managed to find this friendly, cute, rough-around-the-edges kind of small…read moretown diner known for their great breakfasts, in the middle of nowhere. The only reason it caught my eye was because our tax preparer was just down the street. It was obviously well loved by the locals after reading their great reviews and seeing a full parking lot. And this was on a Wednesday. We only had time for a quick bite, ordering nothing out of the ordinary. A quickie breakfast of sausage, scrambled eggs, and pancake, were all we had, but everything was nicely done. The pancake was big, light and airy, served with a carafe of warm syrup and a huge scoop of butter. The scrambled eggs were moist and fluffy, the sausage was basically a Farmer John sausage patty that was properly warmed but not overcooked, and very good tasting. My only criticism was the coffee being too thin for my liking, but keeping our coffee mugs filled was something they definitely did well! The service was wonderful. They knew we were in a rush, and handled us with TLC the entire 35 minutes we had. What I do know is, I will be looking forward to our next tax appointment, hah, knowing our morning will start off right here. Next time...chicken fried steak, or maybe a bowl of hearty homemade soup, y'all!

I ordered the turkey club with fries, and it absolutely hit the mark. The sandwich had perfectly crispy bread with moist, flavorful turkey--every bite was spot on. The fries were just as impressive: crispy, well-seasoned, and seriously addictive. The real standout combo though? Dipping those fries in their house made ranch, so good. Definitely a meal I'll be thinking about and coming back for!

The last few times we've gone, the service has been extremely slow, even when it didn't seem overly packed, which made the whole experience feel dragged out. The food is still decent, but it's nothing out of this world anymore, just pretty basic compared to how I remember it. That said, my favorite dish is still the skillet with turkey, avocado, and bacon. It's a solid option and probably the one thing that keeps me coming back to give it another shot. They've changed the decor slightly over the years, and there's a nice little gift shop section right as you walk in, which adds some charm and gives it a cozy feel. The staff has always been nice and friendly, so no complaints there. I just wish the overall experience matched how good this place used to be, because it definitely had something special before.

Cutest coffee shop ever, with dogs welcome!…read more OK, this is honestly the cutest little coffee shop I've ever been to. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by the sweetest staff, especially Hannah, who shared the adorable backstory of the place. The owners have a dog named Chai and struggled to find coffee shops that allowed dogs, so they decided to open their own... and that's how Chai Coffee Shop was born! You can definitely feel the dog-loving vibe everywhere, from the décor to the fact that pups are actually hanging out inside. Within minutes, one of the dogs came over and licked my toes (unexpected but hilarious ). It's such a warm, welcoming environment where people and pets can just relax. The ambiance is perfectly balanced bright and social up front, with a quieter, cozier section in the back if you want to read, study, or work. I had the cold brew, which was fully customizable. I told the server I wanted it sweet, and she nailed it! so delicious! I also tried their pumpkin cornbread (not quite pumpkin bread, not quite a muffin, but so good). They even have a secret menu I haven't tried yet, but I definitely will next time. Their espresso machine was temporarily down when I visited, but it didn't bother me at all, plenty of great options regardless and should be back up by Wednesday. Prices are super reasonable and right in line with other coffee shops, but the vibe here is what really sets it apart. It's cozy, dog-friendly, and just genuinely joyful. Can't wait to come back soon!

The tables are a bit small but it leaves a wide aisle and clearly communicates that the building is accessible for folks who use wheelchairs. The hum of the oven fans creates white noise in the background and there is music playing but not distractingly loud. I find it easy to get work done here.
